[F04; PP] A Winter's Breadth <<Harbinger of the Night>>
Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Beginner Floors
With eyes closed, the back of his head pressed into the seat of the bench with a weight that almost seemed like it could push right through the wood and into the floor. A heavy sigh pushes from his lungs, piercing the silence like a hot knife. It was that same silence that made the soft, chiming of a notification seem even louder than normal. Olive orbs opened once again with a inquisitive hum. A single hand moved slowly to check the message, the speed of which had had been taking things day by day lately. A well formatted message spread open, short, sweet, and to the point. It was from N -

Jomei the emerald duelist A slow, steady exhale escapes past rounded lips, parting the tiny cloud of steam that rose from the hot cup of tea grasped within his hand. Thin steams of the suns light poured in through breaks in the curtains, illuminating the wooden floors and white walls of the studio space. Tap The tip of a pencil held loosely between his thumb and index finger hits the closed lid of the piano as he loosens his grip, only to take hold once again, lift up an inch or two and... Tap Eyes were lingering on -

Jomei replied to Zandra's topic in Intermediate Floors
ID 209849 | LD 17+1 = 18 "Im sure there's plenty of mines on this floor." Jomei said as he looked at the far off surroundings. Being a floor enclosed completely in craggy stone, raw materials must be one of their exports. "Maybe if we start making our way towards one of the outer mountain ranges we can find a pathway in." Following along with the group, Jomei kept a keen eye for anything that could resemble the entrance to a labyrinth.. or any entrance for that manner. A mine, a tunnel, even maybe a door that just seemed a bit different then the others. Once they had exited Ronbaru -

Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Oh?" Jomei's attention turned to Nari as she approached, inquiring about his choice of skills in combat. The ginger responded with a bright smile as he lay the blade of his rapier across the palm of his hand, as if studying the weapon. "No need to apologize, I don't really see it as a personal question." He recalled all of the boss raids he had taken part in, and any other tougher enemy he had taken down along side his friends. "I've never been much of a heavy hitter. My damage output has always been subpar compared to some of the other frontliners. When it comes to the common monster, -

Jomei replied to Zandra's topic in Intermediate Floors
It would not have been his first encounter with the player known as Vigilon, but at least now he could place a face to the name. The ginger's lips pulled into a confident smile as he greeted the man with a nod, "Good to see you again, at least now I know what to call you." he added with a small laugh, "I'm Jomei." The girl had also introduced herself as Yuki, contrary to her username that showed up from time to time. Though, taking a quick glance at it.. he was glad she preferred a much shorter and easy to pronounce name. With introductions out of the way, Jomei took a quick look at the -

Jomei the emerald duelist It was a bit odd at first, seeing a message within his inbox from Zandra after so long. The two had not spoken in some time.. casual greetings, and small talk here and there.. but nothing much of substance. Aside from the usual boss fights, they had not made any strong attempts to rekindle the friendship they once had. A usual thing for ex-lovers, he supposed. However, staring at the message before him, inviting him to join her and a few other players on a scouting mission to gain insight on the next floor boss -
[PP-F24] The Face on The Milk Carton (Baldur/JL)
Jomei replied to Jomei's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Hm..." Jomei hummed to himself curiously, his expression hardened with both concern and intrigue as he approached the small dock he had last visited when attending Baldur's tournament. There, affixed to a post with a rope, was the small row boat that served as the only form of transpiration between the mainland and the isolated island with its driver nowhere in sight. The nail of his thumb gently raked at the skin of his lower lip as he pondered the situation, emerald orbs trailing from the empty vessel to the nearly floating island off in the distance. Perhaps Baldur, or any of the other inh -

Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Phew" Jomei exhaled as the remaining threat was eliminated. Sliding his sword back into its scabbard on his hip, he looked at his two companions. "A few mats.. some Col. No items really worth noting though." he said with a shrug of his shoulders. Gathering was not only something that Jomei did not do often, it was something he usually didn't enjoy. Be it because he was not big on crafting, or if it was because he usually went about doing it on his own. With company, however, it was pretty enjoyable. Gave them something to do as they just spoke. "I'm actually having a good time as well." -

Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Hey!" Jomei called over to Koga as the man cut cleanly through two of the monsters, "You still took out two of them and left one barely hanging on, I wouldn't count yourself out yet." he encouraged his friend. With seemingly one enemy left, Jomei watched as Nari said a silent prayer to herself before heading in to finish the creature off. Jomei followed closely behind her with his sword at the ready, in case her attack failed so he could quickly follow up and finish it off. As he had predicted, Nari's spear only scathed the surface of the Knight's armor, so the moment she stepped out of -
Perhaps his choice of words weren't exactly on the mark of the point he was trying to make in his vague familiarity with NIGHT. He hadn't heard of her in the sense of listening in on tales of a fellow player, or from word of mouth in their mutual peers. They had simply crossed paths a few times before now, mostly during boss battles, and never took the time to speak to eachother. A hand snaked around his neck to gently rub at the nape of his neck. "Sorry.." he said with a sheepish chuckle, "What I meant was that we've both fought on the frontlines a few times, different parties I believe

Hands shoved into his pockets to protect the skin from the biting cold, the ginger gazed around at the snowy exterior of Nari's humble abode for just a few moments before the door swung open. The familiar gaze of the violet haired woman met his, before she offered a rather lengthy greeting in the Irish language. The ginger simply smiled, allowing the small chuckle that bubbled up within to escape as his lips parted into a grin. "Well hello to you too." he chose to leave out an Irish greeting of his own, since Nari had said enough for the two of them, "Thank you for the warm welcome." he added

Jomei the emerald duelist Steam filled the small washroom, pouring out into the bedroom through the slightly ajar sliding doorway. Nearly akin to a sauna, not nearly as hot, but about as foggy as one would expect. A constant stream of water shot out from the shower head, colliding with the ginger's body before trailing down his pale skin and dripping to the floor, only to return down a drain. Jomei knew that there was no need to bathe in this world, it was no requirement, and they gained no benefit from doing so. However, a hot shower a

This band of creatures showed much more resilience than the first four that they had faced off against. The fact that most of them were still standing with a large chunk of their health bars remaining just showed that they were more suited for players for their level. The three that Jomei had stunned twitched and shifted as movement returned to their limbs, the paralyzing effect of his sword art wearing off. Sucking his teeth, he looked between them as one lashed out against Nari, its claws crashing into her form. Not much damage to cause any real concern, at least. Raising up his left f -

Jomei peeked into the slightly ajar door to his workshop as he entered his home from a day out. He stared for a moment, not having spent much time in there lately. A single, empty recording crystal sat on a music stand, just waiting to be filled with music. "Hm.. maybe I should get back into it.." he said to himself, gently pushing the door open with his shoulder. Each foot step echoed throughout the small chamber as he made his way to a lute that leaned against the wall. Plucking a string to find the right tune, he began to play. "Lets do this." the green clad duelist would say with a smirk before taking off running towards the players' quarry. Jomei would slow his roll so he could fall back into Nari's shadow, running along her flank closely. As the woman popped into the air with a twirling motion, the ginger broke off to the opposite end of the monsters gathered. Allowing Nari's attack to land on two of the creatures, a small gathering of frost clinging to their bodies, Jomei followed up with two large horizontal strikes deep red gashes appeared on three of the four Knights. The limbs and muscles of each one hi -

"I would say its my second language." the ginger said with a beaming grin. "We spoke English at home.. but I was learning the language while I was at school. Luckily I picked up enough before we moved out of the country. Had a nice refresher when I went back for later education." Placing an arm across his abdomen, the other extended outwards, he would playfully, yet formally, bow his upper body in her direction. "Is liomsa an sásamh ar fad" he would say, tilting his chin upwards to look at her before raising to a standing height once more. Turning his attention to Koga, who had com -

Just as quickly as the small bout had begun, it had come to an end. Jomei's devastating attack against the four, alien like creatures was followed up by Koga's attack of the same nature. The dark haired man and his familiar easily finished off three of the monsters, leaving only a single one clinging to a quarter of its life. Jomei's emerald eyes swung to the last of the Knights as it rushed towards the ginger, rearing back its rake-like claws before slashing out at him. Bringing up his rapier to create a thin, but powerful wall between himself and the attacking enemy, the duelist took a retre -

Jomei replied to Baldur's topic in Intermediate Floors
Oh, touchy topic I suppose... The ginger grimaced slightly and turned his attention away from Yona for the moment. Her lack of response and hidden expression was all Jomei needed to understand that she still wasn't exactly feeling too thrilled about her luck in the tournament. Water rose a bit closer to his neck as he allowed himself to sink further into his seat, clearing his throat as a sort of reset to the conversation. His own emerald gaze shifted to meet Lessa's as she continued on this train of thought regarding a 'wild and crazy time.' Apparently, to her, the 'adult' in quest -

The creatures that gathered together were vaguely humanoid in shape, though their features were much more angular and elongated. Jomei looked across at them with a curious hum.. he hadn't seen monsters like them before. It was possible that they could pose a challenge, to the wrong players at least. To the three of them, however, Jomei was confident they could make quick work and pull some gain some loot from their victory. With a grip around the handle of his rapier, the ginger took off running, following Nari into the fray. She had chosen to deliver a quick attack, simply to catch the -

Jomei sat in the grass beside the shore once Koga was on dry land once more. Gripping the bottom of his shirt, he began to ring it out, the water the fabric had collected trickling out onto the grass beside him. "Not too much luck." he said with a shake of his head, "I think I found just one so far." The ginger simply chuckled in response to Nari's joke about tossing the man back into the water. It was lighthearted and fun, but with the glares Koga had been shooting at Nari since they had arrived.. it probably wouldn't sit well. And Jomei would rather not take any sides in this predicament. -

"Oh no need to apologize, I'm sure you're much better at it than I am." Jomei said with a smile, dismissing Nari's bashful apology with a wave of his hand. "Honestly.. I've never really been much of a gatherer, but maybe I should start in my free time." He found himself laughing to himself as he slightly shifted his position, gently brushing his fingers through another patch of taller grass. "I find myself going on walks a lot, either to just clear my head, or when I need to organize all the thoughts in there." Finding a material nestled within the nest of green grass, Jomei retrieved it and -

The ginger's brow furrowed as Nari began to explain the science behind the method of gathering. Bringing his arms up, he would cross them at his chest as he allowed the woman to talk, watching her as she dug through the dirt to try and find anything that she could use as a material. Koga, on the other hand, went off to the side of the nearby river to fish.. That was definitely a skill that seemed to be more up and coming more recently. "Just because I'm not the gathering type, doesn't mean I don't know how it works." he said with a small chuckle as he stepped over to a bed of small grass
