[PP-F27] See It Through (Pt2: Srona) [w/Lessa]
Jomei replied to Jomei's topic in Intermediate Floors
The image of the trader with his trusty packhorse was suddenly obscured by a small, opaque box containing a message. Lowering himself to lean his elbows on the railing, his eyes scanned the contents of the digital letter. A bit ironic, he thought, that the questline that helped them solved the puzzle of the previous boss fight was still open and available for completing, despite them having finished off the boss and brought a bit of peace to the floor. However, Jomei was not one to back down from the prospect of adventure.. especially with Lessa. Jomei sent the message off with a smile -
[BR-F27] Paving the Way to Floor 28 [Team Nari-Lanreth]
Jomei replied to Plot Master's topic in The Frontlines
Liquid began to seep from the side of the dragon, spilling out onto the ground at its feet. However, it was not blood.. as one might expect in the heat of battle, no, it was water. "What the hell?" Jomei thought to himself as he watched the trickling of clear water careen down past them. Wushen themselves seemed to hold off on any further actions against them.. was it preparing something? Were they about to face the real wrath of this elemental warlord? Just as he thought that, a portal-like waterpool began to form where the water originated from, spawning the spectral, blue image of ano -

[BR-F27] Paving the Way to Floor 28 [Team Nari-Lanreth]
Jomei replied to Plot Master's topic in The Frontlines
It all took place in a matter of seconds. Wushen took its focus off of Nari, shifting it instead to Lessa. It was such a strange tactic they had not seen much before, but the tanks were only providing so much assistance, and the elemental warlord was able to pull its attention away for short moments to strike the players that were the real threat to its existence. And this time, it wanted to put down Lessa. As it's attack crashed into the blonde's armored body, Jomei felt his knees lock, his feet almost appearing to become cemented into the ground. It wasn't a heavy hit, no where near an -

Tak Jomei's boots hit the ground just as Adere followed the ginger's attack pattern, and ran her razor sharp claws through the already damaged skin. "Nice one" Jomei said to himself with a proud smile and a triumphant fist. He heard his team calling out, mostly Nari offering battle tactics and positive reinforcement. Positive vibes over playful banter? That sounded like a good idea. "Thanks, Nari! I'll admit, you had me worried when you signed up to be tank.. but you're eating this boss' hits like they are nothing!" "Vigilon! Hell of a hit! Great one!" "You too Ariel! Glad -
[BR-F27] Paving the Way to Floor 28 [Team Nari-Lanreth]
Jomei replied to Plot Master's topic in The Frontlines
A hand rose to his face as stone and dust rocketed in his direction, Nari standing at ground zero for the impact. The boss seemed unphased by their attacks, more pestered than anything. That powerful blast its own, psychotic way of saying 'shut up, lay down, and accept defeat.' Of course, they didn't have it in them to just give up. The ginger's eyes focused on the rising dust as it began to dissipate, revealing Nari.. nearly unscathed. Either her armor was much stronger than expected... or Wushen's attack was not at all powerful. It left Jomei curious, but now was not the time for that. -
Jomei sighed, "I took.. a bit of a hit right before the last boss fight." He look around the apartment, now filled with decorations, friendly people, and good moods all around. But he was still reminded of how lonely it got after sharing this space for so long. "Why I didn't participate." shoulders rose and fell with a simple shrug. What was past was passed. He shone through with a small smile, taking a sip of his drink. "Things have been getting better though.. Not really making any waves but, just seeing where life takes me." "But really lately its just been the usual. Just going day by

[BR-F27] Paving the Way to Floor 28 [Team Nari-Lanreth]
Jomei replied to Plot Master's topic in The Frontlines
Shortly after entering the room, Jomei noticed @Lessa standing off to the side, seemingly checking over her equipment. With another nod in Nari's direction, he would cross the cavern to where she stood speaking softly to herself. "Hey, you alright?" his voice hushed, only for her to hear. His hand gently placed on her bicep. "We've got this." he said with an added smile. Hand placement lingered for a moment, despite his eyes which had drifted from hers for a moment, returning a couple of seconds later. Mouth opened to speak, but before words could be formed. His attention was yanked from the b -
Taking a step back, his eyes continued to follow the oroborous-like symbol of each element leading into the next. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of another figure approaching. With a quick look over his shoulder to NIGHT, he returned the wave and a small smile, though his focus truly remained on the blockage before them. He wanted to figure this out.. he felt as though the solution was on the tip of his tongue.. but- Clang The sound of metal crashing into the stone surface of the fallen golem shocked him back to reality, and his focus went to the blade in NIGHT's h

Word of the date the raid party would be undergoing to challenge of clearing the Floor Boss and advancing the player-base, as a whole, one floor closer to the top of Aincrad always seemed to spread like wildfire. Whether its others noticing the sudden influx of powerful looking players stocking up on various consumables, or word of the day being passed on to info brokers, being carried throughout their web of informants until it became a common knowledge. Either way, without any words being shared, the atmosphere of almost all the floors changes. While most NPC's would go about their daily liv

Jomei the emerald duelist A deep.. deep exhale slowly escaped through parted lips, eyes trained onto the blank surface of a white, painted ceiling. A ceiling that was all too familiar to him, a sight that grew staler to him with each passing day. Lids closed over olive green orbs, though sleep was not his intention. Swinging his legs off of his bed, his feet touched the floor. Jomei sat for a moment before pushing himself up and slowly walking to the door that led to a balcony overlooking the Taft street. These passing days after a harro

Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Honestly.. its not ever day you get a home cooked meal. I don't visit cooks enough, even for items with enhancements, let alone just to get a snack made by another player. Usually I just stick to the NPC spots.." He chuckled to himself, thinking of the gourmet meal Nari mentioned she was craving, "I'm not sure if my palate is that refined but.. I could really go for anything. What's your specialty?" As he asked, he took another quick look at an overgrown flower bed, perfect for finding materials. Reaching a hand out in its direction, he pulled his hand back slightly, before deciding the -

"What?" Jomei would question Lessa with a chuckle. He had noticed that the miners were pretty filthy, but that was normally expected in their line of work. The realization finally dawned on him that they were probably dirty from crawling through the tunnel.. the same one he had gone through.. twice. The smirk he wore slowly faded, as he would take his thumb and run in across his cheek. Gross. Before he could even say anything else, he felt a gentle hand on the top of his head, fingers running through his dirty, ginger locks. For a brief moment, he couldn't take his eyes off of hers, though her -
Jomei smiled back at @Krysta "Thank you. It was good to fight by your side." he added with a nod. "I definitely do not think we should underestimate the boss, that's for sure. The idea of elements being at play in some way or another is probable. I feel you can never be too prepared to fight for your life... On the other hand, overthinking this riddle.. if it even is one" Sucking his teeth, he would look back to the words again, "Why give us both a poem, and these symbols?" he would say to himself. Did his statement actually hold any merit with some of the more veteran frontliners? Possi

Jomei replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Intermediate Floors
Before the quartermaster could use that crazy, roulette like skill of his again, Nari had finished them off with a toss of her scythe. Definitely one of the most unorthodox ways he's seen someone utilize a sword art, definitely entertaining. As the image of the pirate vanished with an explosion of pixels, the three were now safe from any additional combat surprises. Jomei's shoulders shifted, as he allowed the tension he was storing to be released, and a soft smile crept onto his face. "Great work, both of you. We really showed them." As Morningstar called out their reward, Jomei took no -
[OP-F26] A Night Amongst the Stars [Event]
Jomei replied to Plot Master's topic in Intermediate Floors
The pirates were formidable, but not invincible as opposed to their fearless leader who was now going toe to toe with the new captain of the Duchess Sincere. Jomei traded a couple of blows with the single pirate in front of him, the one thing in his way from helping figure out a way to free themselves from the grip of these pirates. He kept checking over his shoulder to make sure Astralin was holding her own against three of them, to which she seemed to be without issue. Before he knew it, she had unleashed a Sword Art that made the air around them a bit colder. A huff of air that escape -

Even though their attacks were landing, and they were dealing some pretty massive damage, the hulking form of the Quartermaster took them without budging. His face twisted between agony, and rage as he stormed towards the ginger, raising the cutlass which, all of a sudden, seemed to have a serrated edge on the blade that he had not noticed before, and cutting down hard into Jomei's shoulder. The ginger rose his sword to defend himself against the damage, and hopefully let his armor absorb a chunk of it, but just as the two blades made contact, the Quartermaster's weapon seemed to pass directly -
The room filled up rather quickly. Under normal circumstances, it would be expected and relieving knowing that a large number of players wanted to play a part in taking down the floor boss. However, in this instance, in this small, back room of a shop, it was a bit uncomfortable. Jomei shifted in his seat, straightening out his back and resting an elbow on the back of his chair, opening up his cloak a bit to, hopefully, get a better airflow. Better, but not by much. His eyes scanned the room once more, at the individuals in attendance, almost not recognizing Nari who had changed the color

[PP-F27] Because we’re Adventurers <<MD:Dagan>> (Lessa)
Jomei replied to Jomei's topic in Intermediate Floors
"I'll help them through on this end, Jomei. You just guide them through. Sound good?" Jomei nodded as he turned his gaze to the wall of impassable stone and rock, as if Lessa could see him. Turning his attention back to the group of trapped men and women, Jomei placed a hand over the opening he had created in the wall. "You heard the lady." Standing once again at the opening to the hole, Adere stood with her head tilted to the side. "Just follow the owl through to the opposite end, and you won't get lost. I'll be right behind you." Either these miners were braver than he'd expect, or the -

The ginger hummed, gazing down at the new weapon while rolling it in his palm. He'd lose some of the weapon effects he had grown attached to for the past year... but it wouldn't cause too much harm otherwise. It wasn't until a much larger - much uglier - pirate emerged from below deck, with a large cutlass bearing a striking resemblance to their new weapons, did Jomei finally notice this new weapon meant he also lost his absolute accuracy buff. Now that was a buff he really depended on. "Shit." he cursed to himself under his breath as he created some quickly rose his blade to meet this ne -

Jomei replied to Jomei's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Like I always say," Jomei began, shifting his expression from a half frown when Lessa displayed his displeasure in the treatment of the NPCs, "The fact that we care, that we sympathize. Mean's were still human. But sometimes.. we need to tell ourselves to make that switch when we have to. Because it won't always be in our power to save everyone.. As wrong as it may feel" he didn't know how else to word it, and treaded carefully to not sound insincere, "Sometimes they're just programmed that way." Despite how she felt, she seemed genuinely happy and relieved that it was him that was stuck on t -
It was about this time on the previous floor - if he could even really use time as an appropriate way to measure nowadays - that his cushy life had shattered, leaving Jomei to attempt to pick up the pieces. When word of a raid team meeting spread, and the impending war against, what one could assume to be, the toughest enemy they would need to face loomed on the horizon like a black storm cloud, slowly drifting into shore. Last time, Jomei did not involve himself, he had other much more personal matters to deal with. Though, while he did not participate in the formal boss fight, Jomei did find

The fight was going rather smoothly. Smoother than he had anticipated. As Nari swapped her attention from the female Boatswain to the other, Jomei did the same, shifting his attention from the one named Amir to Jessamine. Morninstar, on the other hand, continued with an AoE assault, cutting down the health bar of any and all of the pirates who remained. Together, they made quick work of the crew, leaving Jessamine, wounded and alone, but not backing down. Backing off from his assault, Jomei was offered the final hit, the killing blow. It didn't offer him any pleasure, especially being th -

Lessa eventually agreed with him regarding the shattered crystals, outwardly at least. Though, in reality, Jomei wasn't entirely sold himself. Were the crystaline structure that much more frangible that the rocky cavern walls themselves? Even when Lessa seemingly moved on and pushed forward, his olive eyes lingered for a moment longer before falling in step with her. While the two's skill lists were absent of the one skill that would have seemed useful in this situation, their respective familiars seemed more than capable of filling in that gap and, hopefully, lead them in the right direc
