  1. Hirru realized the oddity of his question and was sure that Baldur was hesitant to answer from such a disturbing question. Were there three people there that may or may not exist only in Hirru's head? What a ridiculous thing to ask one of the few people that he trusted beyond any other. He didn't want to seem more out of place than he already was, and just waved off the question. This was better than letting his mind be questioned upon it's sanity, any more than it previously has. "Nevermind, my mind has been all over the place, since we beat that little side event." There was to

  3. Hirru heard the merchant before he saw who he was sending his way. The merchant was very particular on calling the hunter by his shops title, Rune Scribe. He sighed as there wasn't much to the rune readings that made up the appraisal process. As the individual crossed the corner, he saw the signature green cloak of the Emerald Duelist. "Jomei! So good to see you." He said as he was looking at the armor piece that they had been rewarded for defeating the Fog of Reminiscence. That dungeon was still fresh in his mind as Jomei took out the other set and a few more items to be appra
  4. The plan seemed to work fairly well. Although much of the plan seemed to hinge on his friends and some others, it seemed that there were more there than what he figured for. As Calrex was bashing through the line, Hirru tried to get in between the enemies and bring up his shield to keep the wedge from closing behind him. The soldiers that attacked or push back would be struck by intense pain as the sharp feathers of the shield would act as thorns, cracking blades and armor alike. He heard Vig and Krysta, and the old man come along with the plan. What he didn't expect was a green blur to d
  5. Freyd had seemed to make the right move, and the story was small, but nothing that he wouldn't like to hear. It was fun to hear that such interactions were possible, even in the middle of an odd quest. Though, it would seem that this Vigilon was much more of a trouble maker than he originally thought. Falling out of the sky is one thing, but having issues with others over some other discretion is a recipe for disaster. Hirru would know, he has known quite a few of them in his time on the floating castle. Though, he wouldn't mind hunting with the boy. Misadventures brew up quite a bit of
  6. Holding onto the sides of the craft when they finally had finally landed, the hunter shakily got out. Although the barrier held through, his sanity did not. If he could feel nauseated, it was definitely coming on now. There was so much going on in that whole trip that Hirru could barely handle it all. His eyes were wide as reality was slowly coming back to him. They were in the belly of the beast, both literally and figuratively. In the bowels of the giant flying ship, they were far from their intended goal, but that was all they could really do. Baldur seemed to joke a bit, but Hirru w
  7. Hirru groaned as sitting down was beginning to wear on the hunter's bottom. There was a bit of thought that would have to go into the question at hand. What did the hunter want to ask the whisper? To be fair, he didn't really know. All the stories that the hunter spouted were just things that he would have spoken about anyway. What does one ask someone that won't disclose anything. "Well, being that as it is, I won't ask anything too personal. Instead, I'll just ask how you met Vigilon. Although, I don't know the boy, to know that you met him after he fell from the sky does seem li
  8. Tossing the line back out, he would glimpse the visage of the Ultramarine. His appearance would prompt the hunter to give a curt wave before going back to the intended appointment. He wanted to talk to Cal's wife, Teayre, once more, but he didn't think those opportunities would come up again. It seemed like she was keeping herself at their old home, instead of living here at Baldur's estate. Hirru didn't understand why, but with the way they talked back then; it didn't really seem to hard to speculate. After Hirru's first raid, to where he was appointed Raid Leader, due to him copying how
  9. A noise of wood bending to ones weight caught the hunter's ear, which he seemed to buff with his own search skills. Line of sight, hearing and his own luck were all part of the package whenever he activated the skill. Though, he nearly always had it active in the past. Once he was able to grasp the proper measurements of the world and how to dictate dungeons and chests on sight, Hirru was then trying to concentrate his hearing too. This, however, wouldn't really work to his advantage. Using search on ones sight lengthens the distance one can perceive everything around, including hidden ob
  10. Eyes flew open wide, filled with terror. An arm outstretched as he awoke with a start. Breathing heavily, the hunter let his arm fall back down into the bedding. There was no need for concern. He was not drowning, he was not dying. That was not how this world operated, at least, not that he's seen. Though, the feeling in his hand.. Lifting the hand back up to his face, looking at the shape of it. Was this how his hand looked like on the other side? Was this feeling always there? The feeling of being touched. He was still feeling the touch of those people; the ones he saw not even a
  11. "I wouldn't say you're intruding, as this is for everyone here at the tournament. I believe observers are also invited, so we'll have all the more reason to hear out the stories of others. I can talk about the scar more later." Hirru joked, but in reality, he didn't like the crowds. There were too many voices to listen to, and he could only keep his attention on one or two at any given time. However, his hearing seemed to wander to every single conversation at times. Maybe it was his way of gathering as much information as possible, but it didn't seem to work out for him. "Perso
  12. Hirru began to think that this wasn't worth the effort. He was sure that the issue was going to escalate, as it always did, and he would be berated for it once more. He sighed as both NIGHT and Yona seemed to get after him. He would take the thing given to him, it seemed like a long sheet of fabric that could take in water more easily. Where was this when they were having the issue? Still, the hunter had to accept the item, so the young woman could worry about something else, that being the slime thing that was still growing. "Okay, I think it may be becoming more of a thing now, it
  13. Following Baldur and the rest of Jacob's Ladder plus one, it seemed that Baldur had some kind of plan, and as he seemed to have a grasp of the vehicles usage; Hirru differed all thought processing to him. With that though, Hirru was not understanding the thought process of the samurai. Why were they not heading towards a more easily defendable position? Why were they barreling through the higher streets of Ladonia? Why was he not saying anything about Baldur's driving skills of a craft that he said may work the same as something he played with in another game? Why wasn't any of this ringi
  14. "Humility, huh." Hirru responded as he made sure that the hook had not been bent out of shape. The hunter didn't think he really understood it, but Freyd seemed to word it well enough. To be reminded that there was no end all be all strategy, and that loss is it's own learning experience. Exhaling a bit from his nose, Hirru would have to agree, as trying to force a scenario without planning made him the way he was now. Trying to explain it all would only make things more difficult too. He would just have to take it in stride, as he tries to figure out the next step up. "All in a
  15. Hirru was still sitting out back from the dojo, still fishing as everyone seemed to be starting the second round of the tournament. He figured everyone was still watching the action, when a second line plopped down into the water a few meters from his own. The voice was far to familiar for him to not notice. Hirru smiled weakly as the Whisper in the Shadows would talk. He seemed to start with a bit about why the hunter was in a gathering of players, but not really with them all. Hirru shook his head. "Well, I do live here, so it's kind of hard to not be around when a tournament is in
  16. He caught her in time, as Jevi was about to walk out when she turned to look at him. It was almost like looking at someone that you haven't seen in several years, which in this case was more a year or a couple. Hirru had not kept up much with how long they have all been here, as he was far too busy hunting and fighting on the front. Although, that wasn't particularly correct. "It's been a bit too long really. I hope I didn't catch you at the wrong time. Didn't want to interrupt you guys. Hey NIGHT! Hope everything is going alright?" Time was rolling along for everyone the same
  17. Hirru couldn't believe what he had just seen. There was far too much to take in, but as people were filing into ships, the healer had to process what exactly had happened. Right after healing the player named Vigilon, they approached another group of players. It seemed that the boss fight had also enacted an event for players that were not from the front lines. This meant that some of them knew what was going on outside, while there were some that had other information. Vigilon was a partial help in this, as he talked about something where they had to jump to some point. "You'll
  18. "That was.. a good one there. Didn't think it would.. be that easy. That thing was.. so odd." Hirru got out through catching his breath as Jomei finished of the Fog, and it finally dissipated all the fog from the area. The structure that made up the whole arena seemed to be a ring of stone structures, though they don't seemed carved out of stone, just made of large boulders. In the center of it all, where the Fog of Reminiscence had concealed, there a stone table, or more of an altar. "What was it protecting, if it was using those faces against us. Was it our memories?"
  19. After setting the plate aside and confirming that the two would stay away from everyone else's food, Hirru turned his attention back to everyone else around. It seemed that a fair number of them had joined in on Gaius' card game. Looking at the little game, the hunter began to analyze the game from afar. It was an odd one that he had seen before, but never really learned the rules. Watching them play, he could understand slightly that the higher the players hand, the better. However, that seem to be the case for Astreya, whom seemed to have a high number, but still lost? Could it be ther
  20. It was finally coming down to the final moment, as Jomei had dealt a significant amount of damage to the Fog of Reminiscence. The fog itself had now become less active in switching out the faces and more expressive in a few faces now. Predominantly, the ones that Hirru and Jomei reacted to the most. The faces of the girl, woman and man reappeared, showing signs of screaming, but not a sound could be heard. The same would go for the faces of those that Jomei appeared to react to. Hirru didn't know them, but they must have been a significant part of his life, if that was the case. Soon, Li
  21. Hirru nodded out towards Jomei as the third shatter came upon the Fog, really reducing that mitigation by quite a bit. There wouldn't be any need to do much else, as the boss would was being hit constantly by Jomei. He noticed that his Rally had come off cooldown, and decided to up the duelists accuracy once more. They didn't need any reason to fail, at this point. Especially, if Jomei got hit again. Although it wasn't that much in terms of his overall health, the power behind it really threw him. Hirru didn't want him to get thrown unconscious from another blow, though the hunter wasn't
  22. Hearing that a few more of the matches had finished, the hunter would give a slight grin before looking back to the pond. He was still sitting in the back of the dojo, so all he could hear was the cheers, and the sound of the water flowing along. He still wasn't good with socializing, but the last party they all had helped him a little bit. He wasn't as boisterous as Mack and as fun loving as Mac. He couldn't talk to a crowd anymore, without the guidance of Baldur. He couldn't understand the world around him anymore. Though, this activity, although he had taken it to improve his appr
  23. "Bloody hell!" Was all the healer could get out as a falling mass smashed down nearby. The dust and mess would settle as Freyd had gone over to investigate. Hirru was going to let the man handle it, as it was probably something that didn't need to be looked into by everyone. They would all continue to follow Gabrandr through the alleyways, but the healer had to stop. There was something odd about that falling debris. Freyd was talking to it, and it talked back. Hirru rushed to Freyd's side to find that the debris was actually a player. He ran back to get a closer look. "How th
  24. The shatter arts were helping quite a bit. Hirru was glad that Jomei had the extra art, or this would be just a little longer than it would have been. In fact, this was going quite a bit better than he had figured it would go. Sure, Jomei got hit once, but with a bit of healing, it was taken care of.. mostly. Both of their energy levels were actually doing quite well, even if Jomei's was draining faster. Hirru would remedy that with a quick Hyperactive charge. He held his shield high, and a yellow glow would strengthen Jomei's energy regeneration. Though, to be fair, was it needed?
  25. "Squishy? I'm pretty sure that I have the second highest mitigation, if I'm wearing everything properly." Hirru would quip, but it made a smile come out of the healer's near gloomy face. The whole thing was rather odd to him, and the commotion above wasn't helping much. The group as a whole seemed to mostly follow the fallen king to where ever he was taking them. Several corridors before passing over large encampments that filled the more open rooms. People were still scrambling around, even after they had all left the slums behind. The bright light that blinded him as they exited t
