Okay, I have calmed down and decided to just go through the proper channels to try and have fishing changed, viola!
http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/9138-i-would-like-fishing-to-be-revampedadjusted/As a fisherman I hope this passes, and I would appreciate it if you at least gave it a read :)

I take it that I am not allowed to kill the same field boss multiple times in one thread to, for example, obtain multiple venoms. Correct?

You ever be in an RP with more than one person, have your response written up for one character's dialogue and end up having that sit in a side tab for days while waiting for the other guy to finally post?
M-me either <<;

I feel like that last fishing attempt is a foreshadowing for the days to come.

Quick Question: If you have two pieces of armor, does your armor skill affect them both?
Example: 2 pieces of Heavy Armor with rank 1 Heavy Armor = 10 Mitigation or 5 Mitigation? -
Merry Birthday to meeeee

Well, I am going to sleep. Enjoy my shop's name in the meantime.

I approve.

Just my two cents, but if he is using those rolls, it might be a good idea to tell him to reroll, just in case >>;

I am considering becoming a Fisheryman. To solo, or to bore an additional person because chatting whilst fishing. Hmm.

Sure, that all sounds good as long as it's clear that I'm not gonna be sitting right next to you or something when approaching the water. A trait of Kalesh is that he is a very suspicious person, so he'll probably be a bit off to the side to ensure a swift blade swing won't send his head rolling or somesuch. He's not anti-social or a loner, just untrusting. I'll start us off if that all sounds good!

Just a curiosity that isn't worth its own thread. Or the EXP/post-count that goes with doing such things, hint hint.
How would you feel about someone who RPs their weapon's bleed effect as instead being the impaled effect from the actual SAO? In short, the longer you are impaled on a blade the more damage over time you'll be taking if this were actual SAO. So instead of leaving you with a bleeding mark, you are actually stuck on the blade and they are just forcing you to take the extra damage, the "bleed" effect ending with either you pulling the blade out or they do during their next attack. If bleed lasted longer I'd suggest unarmed fighting someone while they are impaled, but it doesn't so that point is kinda null.
Personally I'd respect the heck out of anyone who RPs that well, from both perspectives.
Not exactly related but I fully plan to make crits as not just being one strike but closer to my character actually doing a combo. Like perhaps kicking their enemy down and then slashing them, or clubbing them with the pommel and then the actual blade strike. Just seems a lot more fun than "He swung his sword EXTRA hard that time!"

From a Two Hander's perspective, I can't see lodging my blade into someone's body to cause the bleed effect to occur would be suitable. A mark from the effect would be more suitable in that regards. I don't think anyone wants to run around trying to get a massive blade out of their gut, while I think it would be hilarious. I can see this working for daggers, but wouldn't you lose grip if someone pushes you off? I think you would have to involve more mechanics into the system and I think they are just trying to keep the system simple as possible for everyone to understand. Also, I do combos with my crits. I will sometimes do a glorified heavy smash, but with a two handed sword, I try to keep it realistic with the movements.
-
Oh, I don't plan to do it myself as a two-hander, so I agree, but I am not so much talking about people running around so much as the guy doing the stabbing not -letting- them run around. Like, they are still holding down on the handle and them backing off would pull the blade out.
I also don't see someone losing their grip, that's the blade pulling free of the body, not pushing the hand off of the blade, yknow? You could RP that and grabbing the blade again I suppose easily.
Not really sure how more mechanics would be involved at all, I am just talking pure RP fluff. The damage is done either way, nothing changes, except the situation in the RP.

Ever just get the sudden urge to totally change the weapons your character uses, but you've already invested SP that you can't get back in another weapon, even if it is only two SP?
I have and am having that mental debate of keeping the old or going into the new currently.

@Kiru Neat!
My (planned) build isn't really tank, or canon. 2thorns, 2 damage, 1 bleed, and not sure what to do with the rest, if I am honest.
I could go heavy momentum which doesn't seem too worth it, or I could maybe steal something from the light armor group. Regen I dunno about since the description is vague, but I could get evasion and still have room for some mitigation too :P

Quick question about Martial Arts skill. Seeing how the other locked skills do not have an SP cost associated to them, making Martial Arts the only quest-unlocked skill that has any SP costs, does the first rank come free like the other locked skills? Or do I have a useless (if not slot taking) skill until I pour 2 SP into it?
My assumption is no, but at the same time it seems slightly unusual to unlock a martial arts skill and it doesn't actually start to "work" unless you do something besides the quest to unlock it.
