    If you attack someone with 4 evasion, and you have paralyze (the 8-10 one) even if you dont hit them do they still get paralyzed? Because it says on a natural roll of 8-10.

      I was asking because the shield im waiting on has some paralyze on it. :D Thank you again.

      Trust me, I know how helpful it can be to have some extra equipment for different situations. For example, mat/col hunting, a loot die enhancement, or a col multiplier one can allow you to get a ton more loot. Or maybe your fighting that boss with all the evasion and you need some accuracy. Or an overhealth. :D Sometimes your current equipment doesnt have the enhancements you need, and buying a ton of vouchers just costs too much.

    All right, quick question... If someone is tanking, and the support rolls a MD value that means they hit, does that mean that that the tank gets hit instead? And if so, does that mean you add on their evasion factor to the mob dice?

      Thats what I was thinking of going for... But supports dont really garner hate... I was going to get two ranks of heavy armor and some block, but now im wavering. I might just get the next rank of First Aid instead.

      It'd be more of a precaution, I guess. Sometimes you might take damage before hate is garnered. Otherwise taking a weapon skill with a lot of stuns could be good.

      SAO is a PvE first game. The skills are not meant for PvP. Its all about surviving mobs in this game. Now, if we had to worry about Orange Players and the like, I think PvP Only Skills would be kinda cool.

    Id just like to let everyone know that starting tomorrow afternoon I'll be away on a trip to visit my brother at his college.

    One thing for certain, I wont be able to reply as often as I usually do. In fact, I might not be able to reply at all. Ill do my best to though. :P

    How does one determine who a mob attacks? Is it always the one with more hate?

    Im asking because Im planning on taking a quest with a boss with another higher level player, and im not the highest of levels.

      Usually, yes. It is the one who attains the most hate from the enemy. As I said, that is the usual case, for there have been times I've caused the enemy to attack via random lottery. For your case though, use hate.

      If there is hate, the one with the highest hate. If there isn't, usually use an LD in some way for lottery.

    Odds are this question has already been asked a hundred time already, but I cant find it. (I may even have asked it before, but I cant get to my profile... So here goes again)

    How do shields work? (I know you cant have evasion if you use one already)

    Do they have mitigation that stacks with Armor or something?

      Shields provide extra Mitigation with the Drawback of taking away all your evasion. Aye, they stack and bring the max Mitigation higher.
