[BR-F26] Paving the Way to Floor 27 [Gabrandr-The Broken King]
tricolor_mina replied to Gabrandr's topic in The Frontlines
Accepts Queen's Gambit From Freyd Violet carefully made her way into the Boss room, an anxious look on her face. This was well and truly the very first Raid that she would be participating in during her time in this world. The invitation from Freyd and Raidou to stand with Firm anima during the fight, something that had shocked her... well, Raidou's invitation had shocked her, Freyd on the other hand essentially dragged her through both a Field dungeon and a Quest without her even realizing it at the time. Jack's Lament Glittered at her side, the blade a pleasant temperature to touch, and -
Violet had finally thrown the door open, looking outraged. She was absolutely done with Rosa's crap today, and not wanting to put up with it any longer. She just wanted to bring her friend over, have a friendly meal, and just enjoy her day. Her drink had been drugged, likely by Glenn since Rosa wasn't able to make poison that was strong enough to knock her out. The after effects of it were still running through her system, the edges of her vision a faint purple as she stumbled into the room, before walking over to the table, and sitting down, at the table, giving Rosa a death glare. Violet smiled faintly, brushing her hand against Jon's face. "You didn't even say you were going to visit today, I missed you..!" she laughed, nuzzling her face into his body. "Rosa made some Ragout stew today, and I invited someone over to enjoy it! He seemed to like her cooking after.. all..?" she blinked in confusion, realizing that they were in her room at the tavern, and not in the Deck room. She looked over to the side, to see a rather stressed out looking heart, his hand glowing a faint blue from what was apparently the purify skill. Her eyes narrowed in confusion and concern, her demea

[EV-10] Halloween Celebration! | Event & Shop Details

Violet approached Kuni, a soft smile on her face. She loved it when there were younger NPCs, especially around the times where there were holidays that were mainly oriented around children. It made the events all the more cheery and fun, despite the world that they were trapped in. She carefully poured twenty of her pumpkin seeds into the collection basket, before pointing at a small bottle of stars. "is it OK if I have that one? I'm buying it for a friend of mine~" she asked kuni, smiling when he brought her the bottle. "thank you! I'll be back later with lots more of these!" Bottle of stars -
Glenn let out a shaky sigh at Jon's reaction, shaking his head. "The kid mentioned something that royally pissed Rosa off." He said tiredly, rubbing his temples with a free hand. "I'm glad she sent me out here, I don't want anything to do with that, it felt like getting stared down by a pair of alpha predators when you're alone in the woods without a weapon to defend yourself. It was fucking terrifying." When Jon joked about him following the pair out of the room like a lost puppy, he glared at him. "Don't even joke about that, that's my little sister!" He said quietly, glancing away. "Rosa ju

Akane opened his mouth to respond, when Rosa's glass shattered violently in her hand, to the point of causing herself physical damage. The bright red pixels painted across her hands, leaving deep red marks across her hands, which were shaking with rage. As he looked up, he realized with mute shock that Rosa's eyes had become dark with pure fury at Raidou's comment about what had Violet so torn up. About why they were such close friends, even without being friends in game. It was Taboo to bring it up unless Violet was out of the room, or in private where they both could sit there crying togethe

Violet was still shaking slightly, though the majority of her tremors had calmed down for the most part. It wasn't his fault, or anyone else's. It was just phantom pain, phantom memories that left a sharp ache throughout her body. Though the cardinal dulled it after a few moments, it kept coming back in waves. She finally managed to steel herself enough to actually calm down, and she shook her head at Freyd's question as to what happened. "It was an accident in the real world, not something you did." she said tiredly, tugging her sleeves down to hide the scarring that overtook her arm. "It...

Violet entered the door, carrying a bundle of cloth that housed a pair of Rapiers within. One a burned, charred black blade that emanated shadows and warmth, the gem on its end gleaming a burning red color. The other a cerulean blue crystal, elegantly carved into the shape of a blade, the guard a pale white steel, with a deep blue sapphire placed within the pommel. She looked to griswold, an anxious look on her face. "Freyd told me to come here... he said you could help me out..?" Rosa's eyes narrowed slightly as she took a deep drink from her glass, her hand nearly breaking the glass as she held it. Glenn had let out a barely repressed snarl, looking like he wanted to leave the room after hearing Raidou's accusation. His own glass hadn't been as lucky as Rosa's, and had actually shattered it entirely, the polygons flying around everywhere. Rosa held up her free hand, still drinking from the cup. Glenn seemed to get the message, but that didn't make him any less angry. "What kind of bullshit is this." he hissed, glaring at Raidou, his friendly demeanor disappearing comp

Rosa flashed a feral smile at Raidou, wagging a finger in front of her face. "You trust me, sure, but you haven't earned mine just yet." she said dryly, her eyes glowing much brighter, denoting the activation of her tracking skill. "And while violet is pretty excitable, she is usually a good judge of character. She wouldn't have invited you here otherwise, to where her close friends reside. But, thats why Glenn and I are here. Oh, and I drugged violet myself. Just a few drops of sleeping toxin and she went out like a light. I certainly hope you didn't expect me to serve some sort of tainted me

there was a slight patter of feet as violet walked over, carrying her meal with both hands. For once, she had removed the cloak and high-necked longsleeved shirt that she usually wore, instead wearing a casual long-sleeved T-shirt, and high-waisted jeans. her hair had been brushed partially over her face, hiding her right eye from view. Thin, pale red scars peeked out from underneath her hair, mixing with darker, patchier marks that colaesced underneath her hair, and centering from her right eye. Similar scars streched out from underneath her shirt, crossing over her neck, and over part of her

Violet calmly brushed a hand against the kids face, pulling her mask aside with her free hand. Her face was filled with sadness at the situation. the Broker NPC looked like a mere child, in the early years of being a teenager. The sheer terror on their face made her genuinely wonder how Aincrad was able to mimick human emotions to such a degree, that she was actually questioning whether or not the character was really just a living person instead of an AI created solely by the system to resemble a real person. She could honestly see how that kind of confusion happened often here, and it hurt t

Violet growled in frustration at Freyd as he feigned being hurt by her words. "Oh ha, ha. I know you did it on purpose now, smartass." she growled, her eye glowing brightly under her mask. "And the Cardinal decides whether or not we end up getting ganked by a random mob coming out of left field and beating the shit out of us, so I'm pretty sure that its more than good ol Hephaestus in this world." She cracked her knuckles, a sigh escaping her throat. She blinked in confusion as he pointed out something, or someone that was somewhat further up along the road. Violet felt a chill suddenly s

Violet folded her arms across her chest, a bemused look on her face. "Those 'Gods' don't have anything on us while we're in here, the only god of this place is the Cardinal." she replied dryly, shaking her head. "And I'd rather roll the dice for the most part, and pray I don't get mowed down trying to live my life the way I want, y'know?" She patted her shoulder, and Whistled loudly. A few moments later, Akame fluttered over, landing on her Arm, before scampering up and curling around her neck, Chirping in delight as she snuggled against her master. "Good girl, Akame." she said softly, strokin

Violet looked baffled when he asked why she didn't wear armor. Specifically why Jon didn't want her wearing armor. "I'm gonna go ahead and stop you there, Freyd." she said shaking her head vehemently, holding up a hand as she did so. "Two things. One, Jon would be having a shit fit if he found out I was on floor 22 without any sort of Armor. He worries about me enough as it is. Two, The no-armor wearing BS is because, usually, I don't head outside of safe zones. At all. Unless I'm tracking a Ragout rabbit or some other Rare Mob. Then I throw on a set that boosts my offensive stats, and pray I

Rosa took note of the guy outside with violet, frowning slightly as he was being talked to by one of the patrons. She snapped out a quick message, telling them to bug off of the guest, not wanting someone to scare the guy off. He was rather unassuming just by first glance, too. Mousy brown hair, and sharp golden eyes under a simple pair of glasses. Other than his eyes, he was really quite plain looking. She shrugged, before picking up a rather massive pot of stew in her arms, before nodding at the door for Glenn to follow her out. The other man was carrying several large trays of various foods

Violet was still lost as they wandered through the settlement of coral, not even noticing really where Freyd was leading her at this point. Nine levels. Nine. Whole. Levels. More EXP than she earned in a week was earned in the span of a few minutes. Something that she had failed to do in so long was actually upon her, and she was completely unprepared for it. Her weapon had signified the change in her stats, the metal glowing even hotter in her hands, the deep red glow of the gem in its pommel growing ever stronger. It was as though the Cardinal was telling her to actually get off her ass, and

"Pretty old honestly. The CA was around way back when the KOB was still a Major guild." She said softly, tilting her head in thought. "We weren't as active as most guilds, but there were a bunch of our members that decided to take to the Frontlines and become Clearers. Jon, Shield, and Beat are the only three that still do that, and Jon told me he wasn't participating in this raid after that fiasco involving his team. The other three that were Frontline quality, Itzal, Sey, and Hikoru, all fell off face of Aincrad, and I haven't spoken with or seen them in ages. I'm not even entirely sure they

"Yup! Shield and I belonged to a guild known as the Celestial Ascendants." Violet replied, a sad smile on her face. "Those were nice times... Simpler, nicer. But they just had to get thrown out the window because of that stupid war." Violet was still angry over the horrible war that had torn apart her former guild, many of their members either vanishing entirely, joining different guilds, or turning up on that damned monument. It practically ate her up inside when she saw just how many names from her old guild were on there. "It was rough for all of us... there was alot of people that died fro

Violet grinned when she saw Freyd's expression change to a grin, a snort of laughter escaping his throat at her comment over his facial expression. "Ayy, I made you laugh!" she cheered, a shit-eating grin on her face. "Don't sweat it, you aren't the first person I've met that has that kind of face. My old guildmate, Shield, immediately comes to mind when I think about it... Except I don't think even he looked that stern!" She straightened up a bit, before moving properly so that she could face him without having to lean over. She almost immediately adopted a deadpan look on her face when

Violet grabbed Raidou by the back of his shirt as he made to walk off, book in hand. "Uh, uh. You're coming with me, I've gotta introduce you to Rosa, and she's in the back cooking right now." she said dryly, shaking her head at the younger man. "'Sides, I know Glenn doesn't bite, nor do any of the other members of the Deck... unless you act like that idiot from earlier that was fucking with one of their enforcers. Theen there's a small chance you're gonna get told to leave by one of the aforementioned deck members." Glenn nodded curtly, a frown on his face. "We don't play around when it
