  1. Violet sighed when she saw the scene that one of the patrons had been causing, causing Fengor to smack them over the head with a tankard. A hush suddenly fell over the room when a person in a Jester costume walked over, talking to the pair in a hushed voice. The pair seemed to come to an agreement rather quickly, and the player that was now soaked in alcohol booked it out the door, a scowl on their face. The jester bowed to the table, before skipping away, prompting the room to go back to its dull roar. Violet calmly shoved the animal carcass in her inventory, sending it straight to Rosa, who
  2. Violet smiled faintly when she saw Raidou arrive at Rikers Edge. "Hey! Hope you had a safe journey here, this place isn't the safest area in Aincrad, y'know." She said brightly, waving at the young man. "Good to see you again!" She ended up having to choke back laughter when she saw him hold up a slab of meat, some sort of beef from the looks of it. At his comment that he'd felt the need to bring something with him, she held up her hands, shaking her head. "You didn't have to do that Raidou, I help keep this place stocked with food and stuff. Rosa will probably find a way to use it, regardless
  3. <<Note: This thread begins on Floor 22 due to narrative purposes>> Violet blinked in confusion as the other two players that had been with her and Freyd vanished into thin air. As if there was just a gust of wind carrying the pair away. It was a strange thing to witness, that was for sure. Though certainly not the wierdest thing she'd ever seen. She glanced over at Freyd, frowning slightly. It was only the two of them now, and she still wasn't sure what his intentions were. He seemed relatively friendly, if a bit stiff personality-wise. Her familiar curled around her neck, eye
  4. <<Riker's edge, Floor 19>> on the very edge of <<Mikiakus>> lies a tavern, kept by a small guild that treated each other like family. The building was well cared for, and unlike most of the settlement, it wasn't run down or broken apart, instead appearing like it belonged in a completely different part of Aincrad. That bar, was Rikers edge. Players visited on occasion, often to deliver information in exchange for a home-cooked meal made by its keepers. The guild that ran it was known simply as the Arbiters Hand, a guild that solely consisted of about 30 members. Th
  5. Violet stumbled slightly as she was shoved rather gently by Jon, who seemed to be in a rather teasing mood, eliciting even more laughter from Rosa. "Haha! Lover-boy actually has some spunk!". A pout crossed her face as she spun around to face him, stomping her foot daintily on the ground. "You're being mean!" she whined, before turning around to face Rosa. "You keep teasing me and Jon and I'll start selling all the rare cooking ingredients to one of your competitors you arse!" Rosa actually looked offended by that, her jaw falling open in shock. "Oi, oi! Not that I can't do that myself, but yo
  6. Violet let out a choked cry when she saw that Freyd had actually decided to mimic her appearance, giving her a wink as he did so. She couldn't even find it in her to be upset about it. He was doing a damn good job of mimicking her fighting style despite her only really making two proper attacks in front of him. She folded her arms across her chest, frowning slightly. The trio in front of her was far too synchronized to be just a normal group of friends. They must have been frequent combat buddies, just by judging their fluidity in combat alone. Each of them seemed to cover all the bases that w
  7. Violet felt a wave of fear hit her when two more figures suddenly shot out of nowhere, each of them attacking the entity that resembled Mari. what the hell was going on anymore?! This was not how she envisioned her afternoon going, not at all near that image in her head. She was Supposed to have gone and picked up some ingredients for Rosa, gone and hunted down a pair of Rabbits for her (Something she was sure she needed to do later, if she made it through this in any way.), and go fishing to nab an ulafish. She didn't expect to get thrown at the forest of memories, somewhere she avoided like
  8. Violet blinked when she heard him call it a gemini, something that had surprised her. Gemini usually only manifested on floor 6, and near the Village of Krycim. It was absolutely baffling as to how it had appeared in the area they were in, until she remembered what floor they were sitting on. "No wonder it respawned. Heesh, you weren't kidding when you said past mistakes haunt you here!" She muttered, putting her hand on her rapier. The only thing her earlier stunt had done was piss off whatever the hell that was in front of her. Freyd yanked her backwards as a spear nearly cleaved her i
  9. Violet shrugged when the guy commented on her apparent lack of armor. "Well for starters, I wasn't planning on leaving the settlement today." She said, shaking her head. "I don't like this floor, it gives me the creeps. And the only reason I haven't bothered with armor yet is because I'm saving for a piece that I'm only a couple thousand col short of being able to buy. Quality over speed, Y'know?" She ruffled her familiar's feathers, smiling as the tiny dragon chirped at her. "Don't sweat it, kiddo." She said dryly as he started to apologize for knocking into her in his haste to go after
  10. (Out of combat Regen, + 2 EN, Full energy Regen 1/2 posts away (Relaxed)) Violet stomped her foot, a frustrated look on her face. "I think you're missing the fact that YOU ran into me!" she huffed, her anger softening a bit. He did just stop those bears after all. "Its a good thing neither of us actually landed IN the bears, or that coulda been ugly. Please keep an eye on where you're going, whether you're chasing somebody or not. I'd hate the idea of you doing that to a newbie on accident." She clipped her rapier back to her waist, folding her arms across her chest, her expression shifti
  11. Violet let out a shriek as one of the bears started to throw shit at them... specifically a rather massive tree. They both decided that the poor guy that was with her was going to be their target, and both immediately started to try and claw him to pieces, only for the both of them to get bowled over by a burst of a sword art. Violet grimaced slightly as she realized that throwing a stone at the Bears might not have been the best call, since it had only served to piss them off even more than they had already been before. "Well this is just lovely, why the hell did I even come to this floo
  12. Violet giggled at Raidou's reaction to her so much as even mentioning food of any kind. 'Haha, at least the guy has priorities!' she thought, before gently pulling him to his feet. when he made the remark regarding how strange some of his friends were, she snorted. "Hey, weird friends are better than no friends, y'know! Besides, the weird ones are the best ones~" She replied dryly, her grin widening slightly. "Anyhow, the place has all kinds of food. Rosa is no slacker by any means when it comes to whipping up a fantastic meal, even with the limited materials she's gotta work with. So far the
  13. Violet Growled in frustration as the person disappeared from view, albeit briefly. They weren't going to get away, not that easily. She put on another burst of speed just as the other figure suddenly came barreling into her, sending the both of them flying through the air, and eliciting a shriek of surprise from her throat. "What the heeeeeell?!!" Eventually, they both came to a stop, miraculously landing on their feet somehow. There was a mostly cleared path in front of them, glittering with shards of what seemed to be the polygons of what had once been a field obstacle. Violet blinked in con
  14. Violet had been standing near a wall, quietly snacking on a piece of freshly made Taiyaki. Rosa still saw fit to make her take various foods and drinks with her no matter where she went, and made sure that they were always tasty as could be. As she prepared to take another bite, a shadowy figure suddenly began to zoom past her, with a speed that nearly knocked her over. More importantly, though, it knocked her Taiyaki out of her hand. A fierce glare suddenly crossed her face, her single visible eye glittering with barely disguised anger. She spotted a guy chasing the figure, and he seemed to b
  15. Violet smiled faintly when he said he'd consider it. "I think you'll get along with the person there, even if you don't talk about info. She's one hell of a chef~" she cheered, pumping her fist in the air. "Besides that, I kind of want to treat you to a meal! And you can bring any of your friends along, too! The more the merrier after all~!" She leaned backwards a bit, before vaulting herself to her feet, letting out a small grunt of exertion as she did so. When he mentioned the burdens that they bore, she simply shrugged. "Well, burden or not, we're both alive, no?" she replied, shrugging. "W
  16. Violet sat there as he explained his initial intentions for the book, and how he'd sold it for a price, only for the information to be misused despite his intentions. Her expression immediately softened when she heard that. It was still heartbreaking how people were forced to suffer in this world, without food, without a home... At least his had a somewhat happy ending. "At least you aren't in that situation now, it seems. I know alot of people that would pay good money for information on dangerous guilds..." She commented, looking up at him. "You did what you felt was necessary, you can't hel
  17. Violet was still shaking slightly, but managed to pull herself together enough to pay attention to what Raidou was saying regarding his little book, though his apology unfortunately went unheard. Her mind had tuned it out in favor of trying to latch on to something, anything other than what happened to Declan. "I-information..?" she whispered, a confused look crossing her face. "I-is it just about other players, or is it about quests and stuff? Or guilds?" She didn't look over at the small book, instead averting her gaze. It would have been rude to look unless prompted by the boy to do so.
  18. Rosa patted her dear friend on the head, a sigh escaping her throat. "Sorry kiddo, I'll get ahold o' an artisan later and make you a new one, better than this old thing!" She said kindly, a wry grin on her face. "'sides, you'll probably like it better than this one. A nice one carved outta darksteel and platinum, with a nice glass overlay~ Mahogany and teak pieces, with hand-painted kanji. Would that suit the 'lil hime? Weeeeeelll?" Violet elbowed the older woman, a bright red blush on her face. It was like dealing with an older sibling 24/7 when Rosa was around. "W-w-wait, cut it out! Are you
  19. Violet closed up her menu, humming to herself as she did so. It was quite the nice photograph, thus she felt no need to try and take another, as it would be perfect to save in her memories as a great time. The contrast between her goofy grin, and Raidou's calm serenity, the image seemed to be balanced wonderfully. It was a wonderful page in the story of her life. Akame Chirped, fluttering back over to Raidou, and curling up on top of his head. She giggled, not bothering to move her friend away. It was too sweet of an image in her head for her to have the heart to remove her. Violet actual
  20. "I can relate to that, missing your family is always up there, y'know?" Violet said quietly, shaking her head. "Still, it gives you that extra bit of motivation you might need for making it through another day in this crapsack world. Just think of being able to see them again, and smile because you know you have that to look forward to once we make it out!" She moved closer, making it so that she was able to loop an arm around him, and allowing Akame to sit in between their arms. She was probably crossing a few lines when it came to social contact, but screw it! She wanted to capture a memory
  21. "Well I do try my best, haha~!" Violet sat back down, crossing her legs with a grin on her face. It actually made her happy to hear that Raidou thought she was being lively. She was afraid of still being distant, that small part of her that yearned for friends again, that missed social interaction. That same part of her that was absolutely terrified of being lonely again. It felt nice to actually be open, without putting up a front of being a snarky, sarcastic friend who joked constantly about dark topics that most wouldn't touch with a nine foot pole. That defensive wall had been taken down,
  22. Violet splayed her hands out in front of her, a wide smile on her face. "Sometimes we can't help but feel responsible for caring for another person, y'know?" she chimed, a faint laugh bubbling in her throat. "The beauty in that, though, is that you can make a meaningful impact in anothers day, and make them feel better than they did before!" She stood up, before twirling around, her cloak billowing around her as she whirled around in a blur of pink and dark red, blending and mixing with the color of the setting sun, and the soft light of the fireflies. When she finally came to a stop, she
  23. Violet gazed up at the sky, closing her eyes in remembrance. Smiling faces, the warmth of a dear friend's hands caressing her skin. A broken picture frame, and a torn photograph laying within. Just the thought of what happened back then hurt violently as she thought of his face. "You're right, Raidou-san..." she mumbled, opening her eyes to see the sky. "That mentality, though... an eye for an eye does make the world blind if it perpetuates, does it not? The gravity of such a thing is quite dire." Akame chirped again, nuzzling her face to once again try and drag her mind away from that painful
  24. "Mmm.... That's not how it feels sometimes, though. Bloodshed begets bloodshed, it always seems to be repaid in kind, and in full." Violet mused, shaking her head. "Mistakes may be mended with enough effort... it is hard, though, to mend the wounds of Death and Destruction. No matter the strength of the thread, no matter how shallow they seem. They carry deeper, and they carve harder than any blade could ever hope to attain." Violet calmly sent away the chessboard, catching the pieces that had been Raidou's in her hands. She gently laid them down in front of him, her hand shaking slightly stil
  25. "Bloodshed without meaning is always a fools errand." Violet muttered, a dark look in her eyes. "Something I've been wishing that people would hurry the hell up and learn! Too many people have died because of stupid 'effing mistakes we just keep on making.." She stared at her hand, the slight scarring that was visible under her gloves, before shaking her head. No point in dwelling on ugly thoughts. "I will agree that trying to enjoy the day is far more preferable, though. Nothing beats enjoying your time with friends in fair weather." Violet calmly gazed at the board, her eyes scanning th
