It pretty much depends on what you are going for, if you wanting to do some gaming ASUS is a great computer to do so, however the older it gets the worse it gets when it comes to playing a game like League. However I have played League on Toshiba on Dell before, and ASUS does a much better job than those two.

Ive been gone for a month or so and now that im back apparently IC i have been forgotten by friends, acquaintances, and people who i've fought with in event and floor boss battles. Are the memories of Aincradians really so short?

Rip. Decided that its probably best to quit the site when im not super angry or tense about stuff. Cause then im more likely to come back when i calm down. Im very passionate about this site and the people on it, the systems and the way everything works and i want things to go well for the site. So i get angry as hell sometimes when what i percieve as bad decisions are made. Thats just proof of how much i care about this site and its well being, despite the confrontation and aggressive way that i go about complaining.
So thats it really. I might be back in a year, or maybe not. That remains to be seen. I hope to forget about some of you and others ill never forget. Good luck, congrats @Hikoru for the new acquisition.

That is sad to here Manta (yeah, you will always be Manta to me). I wont try to make you change your mind but I will miss you. Have roleplayed with many of your characters and Ive enjoyed writing with all of them(on and off site). I wish you the best of luck in your life and will miss you.

Hakai wandered into the shop, having recieved a message thatinformed her that her order had been completed. Finally. She hadn't had to wait long at all for Macradon to finish the order, he had done it very promptly. However, she had tried two blacksmiths before him. She was glad that one of them had finally fulfilled her order. She smiled to Macradon as she grabbed the two katanas and the gauntlet, trying the gauntlet on and giving the katanas an experimental swing or two. "Perfect. Hakai looked over the shop that she had come across. She had been at the boss meeting, and had heard from the owner that they would make gear for the players participating in the boss fight. She prayed that he was actually active as a blacksmith, unlike the other two people she had attempted to buy equipment from. She walked into the shop, admiring the different weapons and armors that were displayed around the place. She looked through them, hoping to find what she wanted, but after only a few minutes it became apparent that the shop owner didnt have any premade katanas, or at least, not tier -

I understand missing limbs and physical deformities. However, how does a VRMMO magically heal the minds of the mentally ill when they enter the game?

It doesn't. And now I'm at the weird portion where I'm unsure if I fall with the type of people who have a "psychological disorder" since Kaluluwa developed an inability to show emotions due to PTSD of child abuse (and PTSD is considered a psychiatric/psychological disorder). Of course I was planning to have a character development using this (either through Gemini or Calming the Soul) so this update is a concern of mine.
In my opinion, it does not make sense for the psychological disorders to not be permitted. The full dive VR system basically just intercepted the consciousness and simulates the 5 senses. Physical deformities are fixed and are able to let amputees use their body parts because the game intercepts impulses to find out if the person would be attempting to move a body part. So if someone was brain dead, they would not be able to play the game as they are unable to make mental decisions out of the basic needs for survival which is to breath and to produce the necessary hormones for daily processes.

Mental Disabilities were focused more MPD than anything else. PTSD is something commonly associated with SAO and the overall theme of the game. Other mental disorders such as Tourrette's, Epilepsy, Autism, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Bulimia, Deviant Sexual Disorders, and similar disorders are also not permitted. Many of these mental disorders beg the real world question of how and why your IRL character (likely a teen with concerned parents) attained one of the 10,000 copies and a device that is known to specifically affect the mind.
Long story short, if your character absolutely hinges on some mental disability, please make your case with a member of staff and we will evaluate it on a case by case basis.

Hakai got to work. She had never done this before, but thanks to the quest she had taken to get her shop she knew how. She looked at the first armor, and immediately found a slot of regen. She tried again and got nothing, so she tried once more and the armor locked. She sighed and moved on. The next two armors locked immediately, and the third she went at for quite a while before finally getting three slots of enhancements on it. She moved onto the last one, a white armored gauntlet with golden designs on it. She appraised it and was astonished to find a demonic enhancement. She had known that -

Hi, Manta here. I have a whole thing written up, but somehow i cant really bring myself to post it. Ive been rping as this character since Manta and Ebony were pked, knowing that a rebirth system would be coming. I put a lot of ,y heart into this character and a lot of muse into writing her. Ive been told i cant use the new system with her, when it comes out, and i feel crushed. Ive been hoping since i got pked.
I havent made a decision yet. I dont know what to do know. Do I start all over for the seventh time? Or give up. Ill make a decision soon. Regardless of my decision, the patch notes look great and i like everything thats been done, except, obviously, my not being able to use the rebirth system on my character

@Oikawa First off, i never said anything about easy fixes. Secondly, are you guys Kayaba? Do you not have empathy for others? Im going to assume yes, as the majority of people do. So, yeah, while this is a 'death game', its also a forum rpg that people dont force themselves to play, and do for fun.

And its true @Ratatosk, both what Oikawa is saying and what you said. Pking is an old issue, especially the pkings of Ebony, Manta, Zelrius, and Dom. And yeah, there was a lot of BS involved in that. While the issue still isnt resolved, staff would rather that you forget about it. However, rules have been put in place to prevent further BS pking. They dont want past unresolved issues to come back up, so most of staff would probably rather have me quit the site. You may have gotten the illusion that the issue was resolved, but it wasnt. It just seemed that way because i was banned.
Rules never being retroactively enforced? Ive heard that before. Thats the biggest lie of all. A few months ago, when i went back and pked Teayre after my own pking, as the rules actually allowed back then, I got a ban. Teayre was consulted on her side of the story, but when it came to me I had to contact Shark myself after hearing about it from a friend. The long of the short is that I got a ban for causing drama, because they couldnt actually pin me for pking her back. In fact, in that same conversation i got them to revert the pking. (I would point out that this is also a retroactive enforcing of the rules, although it makes complete sense in this case.)
I think theres a big problem between real issues being seen as drama. Theres a big difference. Maybe my being upset about not being able to use the rebirth system for Hakai is a bit full of drama, but only because i was upset, and because im a human being with lots of emotions. There are real people behind ever message and status post, real, feeling, hurting, thinking people. I think we all forget that sometimes. I planned to pk Zel way way back, i built my whole build around that, but when i got to the point where i could actually do it, if i landed a hit, some weird stuff happened. I ended up joining AB. That wasnt the turning point, but the fact that they had a guild skype chat was. So i talked to the person that i hated, and i found out that i liked the person behind them, the one that you cant really see on a forum through a rp character. My point is that you cant know someone without having a conversation with them.
Staff, i said it before, but i feel like you guys all read right over it. You guys all did an incredible job from what ive seen in the patch notes. Ive also noticed that the community as a whole has been improving. Good job with that too.
