  2. Pinball was in constant need of an alchemist - but none were readily available to him. It had been this way for a long time, leaving him deprived of the items he needed to succeed as a player. He'd made do, somehow, but he knew that it was only a matter of time before he was faced with an enemy he couldn't overcome with patience and luck. He needed buffs if he was going to get through things like Event or Floor Bosses, as loathe as he was to participate in either. Sometimes, those things couldn't be helped. So, through a chance encounter, he'd managed to get in touch with an alchemist.

    Rewarding Staff Members

As someone who has written for bosses before on staff, and someone who personally understands how both mentally and physically taxing it can be, I am still wholeheartedly against any mechanical reward in any shape or form whatsoever. Period. If it's thanks or recognition you want - a mention in the podcast, a role on Discord as commemoration - I can get behind it. Special quests? Maybe? This idea for AP -> SP? Not a chance in hell. Writing for boss fights isn't meant to be rewarding. It's a volunteered service that you as a staff member give to the community as players. While I'

  11. Heyy, boys~!

    So I've been looking for some threads (not you Neo), and I was wondering if anyone would want to do some stuff with me ;w;

I know the orange cursor puts off a lot of people, and I encourage you to play your character. But! New or old, I'd love to write with some of you, if it's reasonable in-game uwu like i promise nothing bad will happen without a serious reason lol

I'm open for all sorts of stuff! Gathering, story-driven threads, and quest/questlines are all fair game, dude. I can help you through whatever, with some exceptions, depending on the person. I'm risky with the quests though ;0 wink wink ayy haha badum crash bam boom pow

I don't have anything particular in mind for a story with other people right now, but I'm always open to suggestions!

    Just
    i want to write

Awww, you're no fun. But you did promise me that you'd start a CTC with me and I haven't seen the notification for that yet.

I know, and I still plan on doing it. I'm really close to wrapping up this dungeon with Zandra and Hestia, and once it's locked I'll have hit T3. Those are the stats I gave you to run the numbers for, and I wanted to start it when those were the ones I actually had. I'm not forgetting about you, and we'll do it for sure, but I do ask that you wait just a little bit longer uwu

  13. Cooking was a simple thing. It was quiet in his little cabin, and that was how Pinball liked it. He had been gone for so long - trapped in that room - that even the chirping of the birds he hated to hear in the morning was a pleasant thing. That dark, gloomy cave, in that empty, empty room... Zomekko hovered freely now, a shadowy fog creeping across the floors and up the walls. She was happy. Pinball was happy. Sunlight beamed through his shop's windows, the soft breeze of trees audible through the slightly cracked open door. Nobody would try and find him here. He had never stopped to hide her
  14. And it was that same, extreme hesitation and caution that Pinball made his way to his shop the next day. His Ambitious Blade in hand, he snuck into the shop and make quick work of the crafting that needed to be done. He had found himself wanting to go grinding often nowadays, so his goal was to make something that'd help him hit the monsters he needed to more frequently, and something that would maybe help boost the money he made off of a successful kill as well. When all was said and done, Pinball took a step back from his kitchen. Everytime he entered the shop, he would lock the door and
  15. He wasn't paying attention to what happened next. Pinball just waited. He'd been caught. But that didn't matter. The people he used to care about were happy. That's what mattered, right? That's why he had come here. He felt small tears fall from his eyes, despite his attempts to hold them back. He was a murderer. And before that, even, he had hurt those people he tells himself he cares about. Since when does somebody hurt someone they love? Scummy people do that. People worth dirt. So he didn't resist, or move, or speak when the mask was pulled from his face. He stood there sile
  16. And just like that, they were gone? Pinball could barely put together what happened. He caused a fuss, that was for sure. And Kirbs, the guy who - the bastard - threw him off the roof, and then Hestia were visibly upset about the whole thing. But people had come to his aid. Why? Fae and Prometheus, namely. He had been really mean to the kid, and the sight of her tugging on Hestia's arm had nearly broken his heart. He had only just met Prometheus. All they'd done together was kill a bee and start a bar fight. But again, Pinball couldn't help but feel attached to the guy. The sight of his
  17. Wow, this was embarrassing. This masked dude who kicked him off the roof a few moments ago had announced his arrest. Hestia was quick to follow up, and his face was bright red - even though his mask concealed it. The whole event seemed to blow up in his face then. Hestia stared her attentions, and he was painfully aware of the stares he was getting from some of the bystanders. They were arresting him. The handcuffs on his arms prevented any form of retaliation. A part of him accepted it. Another part, silenced though as it was, was itching to move. Waiting patiently for something - any s
  18. But he wanted to see some more before he had to leave. With Claude searching, it was probably time to go. Just one last peek at the life he had left behind. Pinball pushed forward slowly, getting a good view of everyone once again. His eyes came to rest over his old friends in particular: Stryder, Arabelle, Mishiro, Dustin, Fae. Then he glanced to Prometheus and Cosi, to Hestia and Saphira. He smiled, but his heart was heavy. He was glad they were happy. They deserved to be. It was time for him to go. Pinball rolled onto his back, and sat up, getting ready to scoot off of the roof. And then
  19. Who did he see as the cloaked boy edged closer to the event? Sticking to the rooftop and hesitantly poking his head out, he got a clear view of the event. He watched Fae for a while, but hesitated when he saw tears rolling down her cheeks. For a brief moment, he considered showing himself to her. But why would he do that? He had said something mean to the kid before they had last parted ways, and Pinball felt bad for that. But he didn't want her crying. She seemed relatively happy now. Still, though... And that was when Stryder showed up, and the young girl's face lit up. He smiled, an
  20. Pinball visibly flinched as he was almost immediately called out by a player. He stumbled backwards, frantically pushing himself down and below the peak of the roof's incline, out of sight. He took a deep breath. It was Cosi. He recognized the man by the flash of blonde hair and the sound of his voice - completely unphased that a cloaked and masked orange player on a rooftop was watching the gathering of players. Pinball listened as he went on, calling him to come down and sit by him. Pinball pushed himself as deep as he could into the shingles, taking a deep breath. He felt cold adrenaline
  21. He was already on the Fourth Floor when he got her invitation. Huddled up in that damp cave, the crackling of a fire in front of him the only sound to be heard above the howling of winter winds, amplified in its depths. Pinball frowned as he read the message, cold hands stuffed in his warm jacket pockets. He wanted to trust her. He really did. But he couldn't bring himself to. Trusting someone led to him caring about them in kind, and when he cared about people, he hurt them. There was a Christmas Event. Pinball was wondering when something like that was going to be showing up. Players far

And there are rooms, available for rent. However, wrapped around the back of the building is a staircase, and on the second story there is a dingy apartment, available for purchase.
