  1. It was humorous how quickly Star could go from an I-just-rolled-out-of-bed look to a full on red carpet look, and even funnier how comfortable he was switching back to leisure mode. For the wedding, he'd prepared his best suit and his favorite tie, but for the raid meeting he'd opted for something a little easier to wear. He loved Wulfrin, but the wedding's dress code and location didn't exactly work well together. Raitoboru Bay, he knew from experience, was too hot for much more than a swimsuit. Not wanting to shock the frontlines with the result of his regimented workouts, however, Star deci
  2. Morningstar smiled, glad for the company, and the pair wandered over to Levi and his pal. As expected, Levi did not remember him. Star drew out the quest dialogue by showing interest in someone named Darian. Levi offered to join them, and Star agreed. He had never had a bad experience with the companion before, and the slingshot he wielded was kind of cool. "Off we go then," Star said. Whatever whiff of player Acanthus had noticed, Morningstar had not. On the way out of Snowfrost, Star equipped some more comfortable gear, as well as his sword. He didn't exactly need Levi to guid
  3. "Hey," Star called on his way into Sentinel Armaments. "A little commission for you. Quick and easy, I hope. I need to get his rapier fused with this... stick... it's technically also a rapier, so it should work. Let me know if there's any trouble though, I'll stick around." Wulfrin was always fast with fusions, and Star was always impressed, despite the system being made that way. He looked around at Wulf's wares, enjoying the art that was blacksmithing. He had considered it too, once, before settling on appraising items. He was never all that good at it, but it was an enjoyable hobby.
  4. "A couple of items for fusion," Star said. He appreciated the item as an appraiser, but it wouldn't have suited him in practice. At least, he didn't think so. He placed the two capes down on the counter for Bahr to look over and waited for a yes or a no. While he waited, he recounted his demonic scales and gleaming shards to make sure he had enough on hand. He wasn't sure he had ever been to Bahr's shop. He found it difficult to find (as he did everything in the Town of Beginnings). It was a whole lot nicer inside than it was out. --- Fusion
  5. At 9 AM sharp on a Tuesday, Morningstar stumbled into the Evening Star. In one hand, he carried both a mechanical boar and a tiny little ring made of the purest silver he could find. He was dead set on destroying both of them. More accurately, he would be requesting their fusion. "Morning, NIGHT," he said on his way inside. He tossed the required items her way, and gave her the information for the new item. It was a commission (that nobody had officially asked for), and he needed it done as quickly as possible. "One fusion, please and thank you." --- Fusions
  6. Star tried his absolute hardest to remember where he had seen the girl's face. Frontlines? He didn't think so. A party? Oh shit, was she from that birthday party he went to? “It’s… Honeydew, right?" No. No, she was not. Both her straight sword and her armor gave away her identity because they had once been his. Meteor was a pleasant sight. The sword had done him good for a very long time, and he was glad to see it helping another. Had he kept it, it would have collected dust in his shop for the rest of its career. "Morningstar," he corrected. "But, yes. From Honeydew & Hushwind.
  7. Another Phoenix dead, another Hellstorm collected. "Yeah. I've got time for one more of these. I think we're still short a few Hellstorms anyway." He took a seat on a rough boulder and watched his energy store tick up and up. It was a slow process, waiting for recovery to kick in. He looked up at the sky, taking notice of the sun's position. He frowned. Their shopping list was still so large and they were running low on time. They were going to have to settle with whatever they had. He activated Tracking to speed up the boss' respawn timer. They didn't have all day, and frankly, Star
  8. It took them little time to find the grotto that the NPC broker had directed them towards. Two guards stood out front, knights in iron armor. What exactly they were guarding, he couldn't tell. The context of the quest was vague, and its value undetermined. "Okay," he stood back, allowing Nymoria to take the lead. She was a strange one—so nervous in conversation but so capable of sprinting straight forward towards a pair of metal giants that intended on squishing her like a bug. She did as she said, and both knights stumbled over, stunned. Morningstar sprung forwards, circling around
  9. Approved! Welcome :)
  10. Couldn't get a suit? Morningstar didn't dare show them his closet. "Red and black should work," he ensured, mentally planning each piece in advance. "Admittedly, I've had enough mob hunting for a while. The grind takes its toll. Food sounds good, though," he said, swishing his hand a few times and changing into something more appropriate for company. Jeans and a t-shirt were all he could manage today. Still, they beat his loungewear. He snuck in a hushed reply to Freyd. "You make a guest list, I'll plan a party, and then we'll reconvene." "Want to go out or eat in? I'll cook, if
  11. Quest Every two hundred years, for a brief period, the frigid landscape of the fourth floor melts into a nearly temperate climate. Residents of Snowfrost, lucky to witness it, celebrate the coming of the warm sun solstice with a grand festival. The event lasts no more than a day but draws in merchants, performers, and artists like nothing you could imagine. The lantern-lit streets are packed with game stalls and food carts, and at night, beautifully crafted floats and kites soar across the starry sky. Morningstar was pretty sure this was his third festival, and he was nowhere near ce
  12. Star dusted off the old journal and turned to the last page. He skimmed it, not really reading the words, and not really listening to the old man either. Suddenly, they were being pushed out, and he shut the book in surprise. "My whole life is a risk these days," He mumbled. Outside, he took another look at the journal. They'd been tasked with uncovering what was claimed to be a "universal truth" and given an anonymous library donation to do it. "I feel like I missed out on a prerequisite quest or ten," he said flipping through aimlessly. Returning to the end, he read a few phrases aloud.
  13. His paralysis lasted mere seconds before the king shrugged it off and returned to a state of animosity. Star clicked his tongue. He should have expected immunity, but was too caught up in the fight to think about it. He'd slipped up. The Slime King thrashed at him, and came close to hitting him a number of times. He was positioned too close for comfort, having thought the creature would be stunned a while longer. He weaved around the mob and circled back behind his frontline, where he waited for his next opportunity to strike. It came far quicker than he had expected. His party took turns
