  1. Astralin's healing proved to be life saving...ah, but of course, fate had plans for the whole party. Callisto unleashed that deathly Evocation upon the party once more, devastating their HP. bpsbbbpsbsbpsbsbpbbsbpsbsbspbssbbspsbpsbsbsbpbspsbbspsbspsbpss.............................. An uneasy weariness settled upon Astralin. Something wasn't right....no, was anything right at all? Is it real, is it right, this War that they fight? Is the end in sight, can she really see the light? Does she come in slight, as others show their might? Is she awash and away, f
  2. Was it the lair? Was it Astralin losing her mind? What was going on here? Shadows, from what had been here and within Astralin's memory, collided, and furthermore, players were seeing some elderly apparition that looked strangely like Freyd. Astralin began stumbling around, bewildered. She didn't know what to make of the things she was seeing. No, no, she wasn't going mad, she was just seeing illusions, and maybe some hallucinations produced by whatever putrid mist was settling around the mire. The monsters were trying to strike Astralin mad, but for what purpose? Was it t
  3. Astralin thought she'd destroyed all the vines, but it seemed that there were some that remained... They grabbed at some of the scattered corpses, and brought them into some kind of maw within the mire itself... The Mire was alive. THE MIRE WAS ALIVE. ...And it was a creature of death that sought to rot anything that wasn't itself, and saw fit to consume or desecrate every corpse it could hold, there was no respect for the dead, they were seen as little more than coals to fuel a fire, no thankfulness for sacrifice, only an unearthly hunger that sought the destruction of
  4. Astralin watched the party members clash with the boss. after having been freed from Callisto's grasp again, the Tank seemed to have disappeared. Could this have been Callisto's doing? An act of "If I can't have them, you can't either"? Well, now the party was without a full on Tank, and the monster's gaze fixed itself on Koga. Astralin had a feeling she was going to be pretty busy at this point. But just as she was thinking of what form she should use for her healing magic, she felt something rather unwelcome wrap around her legs and tug at her dress. She looked down and behind her,
  5. Why was Astralin always finding weird things? Was she unknowingly a weirdness magnet or something? Just, why? That bear could have remained in its normal(albeit necrotic and blighted) form, it could have gotten larger and cloaked with an aura, heck, it could have potentially just pulled off one of those two handed, double bladed battle axes and got up on two feet to rage like some kind of Bearserker... BUT NOOOO, IT JUST HAD TO GO THE ELDRITCH TWIST ROUTE. Astralin witnessed the beast(or whatever in oblivion that thing was at this point) grab three different players, in
  6. Astralin watched as the battle continued to unfold. There really wasn't much she could do without an emergency. This was a good thing, but Astralin hated feeling useless. Thankfully, her allies didn't seem to be the type to do something stupid...so far. Astralin looked to her hands, which still had those mystical handwraps bearing the power of ice, lightning, and storm. It was quite the temptation, but this was a Floor Boss, not some Event Boss that was easy in comparison to a beast like this. No, it was far too risky for the current moment. Astralin couldn't risk endangering herse
  7. Katoka stepped in between Astralin and the Boss, then Koga would proceed to get Callisto's attention. Astralin was slightly relieved. "Thanks..." The beast roared out, as if attempting its evocation once more, but it would seem that the monster's madness would fall upon deaf ears this time. Astralin watched as the battle raged, waiting for an opportunity to help. Oscar's attack would miss, Katoka and Morningstar would tear into the beast with their weapons, and Koga would call out a threat as to challenge Callisto. She could only hope they all knew what they were doing...
  8. Astralin returned to the party after consuming the diamonds, but it would seem that her timing was very poor for this. The entire party would be stricken with some kind of evocation. Whispers and images would flood the players' minds. Wait, did one of those voices sound familiar? No, never mind, it was all gone in a second, but Astralin would find that all three wedges in the Antidote circle had disappeared from her HUD. She also noticed that she wasn't going crazy about the impact when she saw the party's HP. Her party had gone from healthy to struggling in one fell swoop
  9. Chaos. While that was to be expected from a battle like this, Astralin did not anticipate it to such a degree. She could only hope it didn't get worse. "Is this what War is like...?" She wondered. Koga came over to Astralin's side to see if she was alright after she'd tossed up the contents of all her buffs. The statistical effects remained, thank God, but it was definite that Astralin just emptied her stomach at this point. Astralin had begun to take a breather in an attempt to curb the nausea. "I'm...urp-, fine. Thanks, Koga..." She responded. "Now go, s
  10. Was it the rush of blood? The Rush of Adrenaline? The sensation of overwhelming dread? All three, perhaps? What Astralin knew is that something felt wrong. Horribly wrong. And the stench was even worse. Everything that was alive within the arena quickly withered. This was no place for life in the area's current state. Astralin did her best to keep it together, both physically and mentally...though the oil sitting in her stomach didn't exactly make that easy...nor did the rotting corpses scattered aroun
  11. Astralin was making her way over to the location of the boss room's door, hopefully not late, she was definitely running late. She would, however, be assaulted by the stench of death in the air as she arrived. now she suddenly wished she'd brought air freshener that was capable of working outdoors. An alchemical concoction would have solved this, but Astralin was still in training. First she ran over to Oscar, who'd set up some feasts for their team. They were kind of...unusual, Astralin would realize. The Blue Cow, the Giant Egg, the odd drink that tasted like oil- Wait, this act

  13. Morningstar took the items to the back, and came back with two items that Astralin was happy to receive. While she might be able to find some use for Yellow Dragon, she was more excited about Subzero Stormwind, in all honesty. A faint Glow from Yellow Dragon showed promise, so she accepted the item and placed it in her inventory. When she took hold of Subzero Stormwind, she could practically feel the power within. A stormy combination of the powers of wind, ice, and lightning dwelt within these mysterious handwraps. Astralin was nearly jumping up and down in excitement. A beaming, bright smile
  14. Arabelle was intrigued by Astralin's decision to stick to magic, and mentioned that she was a scythe wielder herself, how that was also unlike the norm. She stated that she'd like to know more about Astralin's magic later on, but for now, there was a meeting to attend, and she brought sweets. Astralin happily accepted a honey glazed donut. "Wow, thanks!" It wasn't long before the actual meeting started. Astralin made her way to some seating. She would listen to the various players and their points. Mentions of rot and decay, potential for necromancy on the enemy's side, One player's m

  16. Astralin wandered the forests, wondering if she'd ever manage to find any semblance of power she could properly make use of. All these sword arts, and not a single one of them matching her style at her current tier. She was going to need to change this up soon, she couldn't be lackluster forever! At one point, she found a building, isolated, yet seemingly out of place. This was Treant territory, right? Why would they have houses and stuff around? This lesser clearing, this cabin, what was going on here? Astralin decided to investigate, and opened the door. The bell rang, and a
  17. Koga remarked about how he hadn't seen her in ages. She nodded her head. "It's quite the tale. I don't mind sharing if you're willing to hear, of course." She noted. Koga then hoped that Astralin wouldn't hold back if she joined the raid, then he introduced Arabelle to her. Astralin intended to speak to her already, so this was perfectly fine. "Hi, Arabelle, nice to meet you!" She began. "I'm Astralin, I utilize my own inner power to get things done." She introduced, before realizing she just gave herself an excuse to open up her Skillbook that she'd pulled out earlier. She
  18. Astralin had only barely heard of the news regarding the upcoming floor boss meeting, she was already on her way, near fashionably late. She'd asked Krysta and Vigilon if they were going, but Vigilon didn't respond and Krysta had revealed that she was searching for him as he'd gone missing...leaving Astralin to have to pick up the slack on her own. Hopefully there were faces she'd recognize here! Astralin ran through the coastal sands of Raitoboru Bay, searching for a gathering of players. At first, she had doubts that this was the meeting, it looked like something else had just hap
  19. It wasn't long before Astralin was approached by Avani, one of the two NPCs whom Shulko had hired. "Welcome to the Carefree Magpie." The NPC began, but things happened differently next. "...Astralin, correct? I've noticed you coming here more often." She remarked. Astralin nodded her head with a smile. "Yep! It's a nice place, never hurts to come here at least every once in a while." She commented. The NPC's expression showed little change, but Astralin figured she'd look prettier with a smile. Did something happen that caused Avani to be this way, or was it just her programming as an NPC? The
  20. The Carefree Magpie. Located in the settlement of Taft, this is a Tavern ran by a Player with the Username Shulko. It is a roomy establishment, with plenty of bar seating and a spacious dining area. Shulko once worked The Carefree Magpie on his own, but he has managed to hire two NPCs to assist him with running the Tavern, or cover for him whenever he's out and adventuring. With an extensive menu featuring numerous cuisines, European, Japanese, a bit of American, and much more, it's nearly guaranteed a player may find something to their taste, and the menu is even still, slowly expanding furth
  21. (Vigilon Alt[Astralin] in waitlist as a contingency, but really hoping things work out with getting other writers involved!)
  22. Astralin was hoping to take on these pirates on her own, since she was capable of avoiding attacks and dealing pretty good damage, despite her handwraps ailments still being tier three. However, Jomei would jump in to thank her, and begin assisting her with these pirates she'd began fighting. "No problem!" Astralin responded to Jomei's thanks, with a bright smile as she did so. Hopefully, this smile might be able to hide the fact that she was internally screaming, quite intensely, one might add. This was a completely normal interaction, there shouldn't be anything abnormal about it
  23. To say that Astralin had the time to respond to Morningstar's remark would be a lie, for he took action before Astralin could speak, attempting a thrust towards her chest...which, was definitely not the kind of place you'd want to stab a girl. Astralin acted on defensive instinct, clasping her hands together in a quick movement and catching her opponent's training weapon, stopping it dead in its tracks. Astralin's shocked expression in that moment would transition into an adrenaline-filled smile, and she'd chuckle as she suddenly tugged, then pulled at Morningstar's training weapon
  24. A Valentines Day event was one thing, but this was another. It all just seemed so petty. At least Astralin was close enough to the other players to hear the ongoing attempt to strategize. The idea of rescuing the hostages when least expected was a good one, all that was needed was an element of surprise. Astralin couldn't really take too much action with her current footwear. If she had the time to remove them, she could easily- Before her train of thought could continue, the ship leaned with a jerk before going back to its original position. Astralin found herself landing
  25. So much for having a good time on this trip. As fate would have it, this was yet another time where Astralin had come expecting a moment of peace and happiness, but instead war came knocking on the door. As the pirates landed on the ship, they began doing what pirates do. Plunder. There were a lot of things that Astralin did not expect whatsoever, and they all happened so fast. First unexpected thing, Nari would respond to the threat of being tied up the way most people...wouldn't. "Nari???" Astralin exclaimed with a hand nearly over her mouth. Was Nari taunting the pirate, or was s
