[F05 - PP] Testing My Strength <<Blood in the Sands>>
Yukiro replied to Yukiro's topic in Beginner Floors
Yukiro looked around. Not much you could see in the desert. Not much to describe. Not much other than the sand, the sky, the sun. The occasional rock and cactus. Monsters felt like they should be more common then they were here. But that was just Yukiro's thoughts. Maybe an artist or someone with a more keen eye for these things would find more interesting things in the desert. 'Cause he certainly couldn't. He passed by a cactus. The thing was a vibrant green against the dull sand, so it stood out like a spotlight in the dark. It would have been great for leaning against if it weren't cover -

Finally he stepped out of the city limits and into the sandy desert where he would have to travel for quite a long ways. And he had just taken his first step. Only thousands more to go. Yukiro started walking on the sand. It was hard. His boots would sink in the loose ground and become difficult to lift back up again. His face and hands were lightly but steadily buffeted by a breeze of sand that wore away at his face. The sun beat down on him, trying to convince him to take a break. But Yukiro ignored the urge. He had to cover all this ground and he'd rather do it before a different player -

Fortunately, the towns on floors above the first floor generally had much smaller cities than the Ton of Beginnings. Which meant it took next to no time to reach the city limits, relatively speaking. This was good for Yukiro. He had a lot of ground to cover and not much time to do it. He passed by the guards of the city's walls. They didn't even react when he passed by them. For some reason that irritated Yukiro. He didn't really know why. But it really did. Odd, how the smallest things would bug him like that. It didn't make sense to him. But then again, not much was making sense recently. -

Taking his first step forward Yukiro exited the swirling light of the teleportation platform. The bright blue light faded behind him. He walked down the step that led off the tall platform and continued down the main road. A group of players was crowding over something in a shop window. A major item, maybe? Or a player doing something they thought was amazing? He didn't really know. Nor did he really care enough to stop and find out. Yukiro walked past the group without sparing a second glance. There was also a sort of restaurant. The only food it made had to be eaten in the restaurant to a -

He stepped forward into the teleporter and closed his eyes, avoiding the moving, fluid blue light. "Teleport Fortaleza!" As he finished his words the teleporting sphere glowed brighter and brighter until it suddenly started to dim. When Yukiro opened his eyes he was on the hot, dry, desert floor, amidst it's most major settlement. Just the same as the first floor, there were many buildings that formed streets, though it was a much smaller town. Which was good for Yukiro; it meant there was less chance of getting lost. Unlike the first floor, however, the ground, the building, and the cit -

Finally, after all the delays and stalling, Yukiro was on his way to the teleporting station near the center of town. It was there that his journey would really start. He double checked that everything he had on his person was ready for the desert travel. His coat was as cool as it was going to get, so check. His boots had enough tread and surface area to make desert travel as easy as it would get. Yumi was asleep in his shirt pocket, and probably going to be very angry with him for going into the desert. Check. His sword was hanging on his waist, still sharp and in good repair. Good, all his -

Besides that, it was also very hard to test your own strength when you have to fight alongside others at almost all times. Yukiro stopped beside a certain group of shops. They were "The Ring and The Sword" and "Tala's Covers and Originals". The reason he stopped was because he knew those inside. Koga and his partner Noctua lived in "The Ring and The Sword". Tala, Koga's sister and Yukiro's crush (were they dating? He really wasn't sure anymore), lived in... Well, the lived in "Tala's Covers and Originals". Hm. Maybe he should ask for a playlist of her songs. That would be nice to listen to. -

At that current moment Yukiro was solely focused on the task of finding the field boss and slaying it. It was his goal to be capable of defeating much more powerful foes than the swimming sand shark, so this was a good chance to test what he was capable of now. And he had even forced himself to pay Fleur, the info broker, extra just so that he could go do this quest without being interrupted by others who she might tell. That's why he had to go and do it today, and do it alone. He expressly avoided places that he knew people he knew could show up. It was his goal to make it all the way to the -

Yukiro's tapped the front of his boots on the ground a few times, just to make sure everything was all right and tight. Once he was done that he undid his jacket in the front so that the heat wouldn't get to him as easily. In a desert that could be a real concern, so he shouldn't take it lightly. Walking through the floor players and NPCs were bustling everywhere. Players were geared up, wearing from everything from t-shirts to full body plate armor. It would be quite the sight to behold for anyone who wasn't used to the place. Yukiro was used to it at this point, so the sight barely regist -
Yukiro had met with Fleur, his go to info broker. As far as he knew she actually knew all of the latest info, but only distributed knowledge to those she thought could tackle it. That was the reason Yukiro kept going to her; she had more interest in keeping others alive than she did in actually making money. She had told him about yet another floor boss, this one on floor 5. It was a sand shark of sorts. It appears in a certain area to attack whatever shows up. He'd paid her for the location of the monster and geared himself up for the assault. It didn't look like a particularly life-threate

"Th-thank you. B-but are you s-sure?" Yukiro nodded as he walked. "Absolutely. It's just a luxury for me, but you need it." He heard Tala swiftly catch up to him and snuggle up against him. He tried not to let it get to him, but he still blushed a little bit. After a little while of walking Tala pointed something out to him. "Y-yuki. Wh-whose th-that?" Yukiro looked down at her, then trained his eyes on the horizon. Someone was there. He could swear he recognized... Ah, he did recognize her. It was NIGHT. There was another silhouette, but it looked distinctly not human. "Mm, -
Yukiro was finally done hammering the giant banner into the wooden posts. Wow, that was a workout and a half. He might have to make this a regular thing; he'd get ripped. It didn't take much more than a glance for him to realize that the local NPCs had decided that this was going to be some kind of event. They had gathered en masse, some making booths for food or vanity items, some just wandering around and filling space. Cool. He honestly hadn't though anything would come. Maybe this would actually turn into an event. "Excuse me, could I ask for more information about the carnival

Yukiro walked out into the dead center of the Town of Beginnings. Two tall wooden posts had already been set up there, ready for the massive banner in his inventory to be hung on them. Why was he doing this again? Honestly, he had no idea. It was almost entirely against his nature. But that didn't matter right now. Pulling the cloth out of his inventory he set to work nailing the thing to the posts. It took a while because he was setting it so high and the banner was so heavy, but once he was done he felt he could be proud of what was now there. All that was needed now was some people

"Th-there is sn-snow e-every where." Tala stammered through the chilly air. Well, yeah. It's the fourth floor. That's the entire point of the fourth floor. Oh. Wait. Wait a minute. He was seeing her point now. Tala was wearing a skirt and a very light jacket. And she'd never been here before so, it was probably a shock to her. Yukiro glanced at himself. He was still wearing the brand-new massive cloak. "L-lead th-the w-way." Yukiro flipped off the cloak and wrapped it around Tala's body, making sure there was nothing left to be cold. He even folded it to make makeshift hood. "Do -

Tala nodded. "Sure, anyone else coming along? Only asking because I want to know if I have to attempt to share your attention. Also to know if I have enough healing supplies." Yukiro went a little red with how she talked about sharing his attention. He didn't know why. "Uh, no, not that I know if. I was planning on going alone, at least. But I'd much rather have you along," he said with a grin. But time was wasting. If you hear about something from Fleur it meant that others would be hearing about it soon after, so he had to hurry to the place where he'd find the big white brute. Spin -

"It's okay Yukiro. What are you off in a hurry to do anyways? Must be something big to have you moving without really paying attention to everything." Tala dusted herself off before looking back up at Yukiro. Hmmm... Should he beat around the bush or give her a straight answer... What to do today... Like staring at the menu before ordering the same thing as usual, Yukiro gave her a straight answer. "I heard about this field boss on floor 4. It's a big thing that apparently gives a bunch of exp. The only catch is that it's on floor 4, so it's a little rough," he said quickly, trying to g -

Fleur. It was a nice name, even if it was the name of an info broker who quite frankly was unreliable when it came to anything but her information. But it was still a nice name. This was what Yukiro was doing when he realized, a moment to late, that he was running straight towards... Was that Tala!? The force of the impact knocked the smaller girl off her feet. Yukiro dove to the ground, barely catching her before he hit the ground. "Sorry, are you okay? I didn't mean to run into you like that, sorry," he apologized again, still laying on the road. After gently setting Tala down Yukri -
"Excuse me, sir, I don't mean to be rude, but... How much are you going to eat?" The owner of the ramen stand looked at the massively tall customer in utter shock. Several stacks of bowls were piled up on either side of the man and slurping could be heard from his current bowl. No human being was supposed to be able to eat nearly this much. It was unprecedented. Insane. Inhuman. Yet here it was. Picking up the bowl the player gulped down the last of the ramen's broth. Yukiro placed the bowl on the shortest stack, making it a total of six bowls in that stack. He thought for a moment. H

Yukiro opened the door to Bahr's shop. He had received a message from Koga and had a feeling he knew what was going to happen. So he needed something in particular today. "Bahr, it's Yukiro. I've gotta buy some Hand Wraps," he called out, walking straight to the shelf with the best hand wraps he could see, "Mind if I buy these? The Gauntlets of Demios?" He was in a hurry but decided to wait for the tailor's opinion. He'd helped him out in a big way before, so it would feel wrong to not get his opinion this time around. Though he still decided to pay in advance, just in case. Sent 7

When Yukiro entered the homey store Koga was already waiting for him. "Hey man, your order's ready! Gimme one second, I'll go get it." "Ah! Thank you!" Soon Koga returned with a shroud-wrapped sword. Yukiro was getting excited. "Ta da!" Koga pulled the shroud off with a flourish, revealing a beautiful sword. "It's all yours bud. And uh, I sent back some of that Col. Good friends get a discount." Yukiro picked up the sword. Sterondight. A beautiful, powerful weapon indeed. Yukiro gave a slight bow. "Well, you have my thanks, Koga. If you ever need anything from me, you'll know where

Yukiro walked into the quaint building. Apparently Koga was working as a blacksmith here, and it was good practice to support you friends in their pursuits. As he entered the familiar black haired boy walked out from what Yukiro assumed to be a forge. "Yo, Koga! Good to see you! Nice shop you've got here," he said, looking around, "I was actually dropping by to make a request," he announced, taking one of the request forms. "You see, I'm working on a lot of projects right now. I don't have time to make anything for myself; if I were to forgo my clients for myself, I'd be worth garbage as a smi

Despite his attempt to keep a neutral face, Yukiro couldn't quite keep his eyes from sparkling. He'd been surprised before-- but not quite this impressed. And he was glad he'd managed to read the prices right. He wanted to compliment the tailor's thoughtfulness and skill. As usual, he struggled to bring himself to say more than goodbye, but this Bahr (so he read) deserved the respect. "I see. You have my gratitude for your skill and consideration," he somewhat awkwardly stated. He took the items and (after a bit of fumbling through the menus) equipped them. They felt good; comfortable,

Yukiro cautiously opened the door to what appeared to be a shop. He was pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming, homely atmosphere. If he was being honest, he'd half expected a dungeon. Yukiro had been aimlessly wandering the town of beginnings when he'd realized it. He was hopelessly lost. He tried to retrace his steps, but that only brought him to what would generally be described as 'the bad part of town'. Any doors or people he saw seemed unwelcoming or outright dangerous. It was when he started considering sleeping in this risky area he knew he had to do something. He approached th

Yukiro Appearance Yukiro is extremely tall but relatively thin. His unusual white hair and red eyes became a source of pride thanks to his half-brother. A small scar can be seen on his right arm, though it's rarely seen as he prefers to keep it hidden. Often seen in wildly extreme moods, Yukiro suffers from Bi-Polar leaving him in either upbeat, can-do mania or deep depression. Being around people helps him think clearly, however.
