Okami padded up besides Koga as he closed the loot menu. "Oh what am I going to do with you bud?" the man asked as he knelt down to eye level with the Wolf, stroking its fur, "You can't run in like that...stuff like that could get people killed...not just yourself..." Koga had seen it first hand. His errors had caused the deaths of others. And he'd known better. Maybe if he hadn't- 'What was that?' Koga stood back up and turned around. Okami had evidently heard the sound too, his ears laying flat against his skull, growling in the direction of the sound. Koga drew his weapon onc

Combat Ends This was it. One more hit, that's all it would take. Koga stole a brief glance at the Boar's health bar. Yeah, one more Gen Getsu, that's all he needed to finish this fight. The man heard Okammi bark and growl as the Boar tried to strike the Wolf, only for Okami to attempt to bite back with a growl. Alright Koga, get off your ass and kill this guy. The swordsman took off towards the Boar again. The blade arced through the air, glowing crimson as a dark aura surrounded the blade and bit deep into the Boar's flesh. Only a moment later, and the creature burst into nothing

In Combat Well, it was now or never. Koga took advantage of the fact that the Boar was focusing on Okami and not him. The man rushed forward quickly, his blade beginning to glow crimson as he swung it in the wide arc of a Gen Getsu. The blade struck the Boar right in hind as it flared with dark energies. This only angered the Boar however. The creature whipped around and bucked its head, driving one of the tusks right into Koga's sternum. The man felt the wind get knocked out of him as he sailed through the air, only to inevitably land on the hard packed snow. Ouch... As Koga strug

In Combat Just as Koga began too move in, Okami took off towards the Boar, far to eager to bit into the creature to realize that it would be up onto its feet before the Wolg got there. 'Damn it.' Okami was about to lunge when the Boar swung it's heavy head at the Wolf. The Wolf growled as it bounded backwards, only narrowly avoiding the deadly tusks. The Wolf should've known better than to rush in like that. He'd almost gotten gored. Not an end fitting a predator like himself. Koga, for his part, did his best to assist the situation. The Boar was no longer paying attention to

In Combat Koga wasted no time in moving in on the Boar. Snow flew into the air as Koga dashed forward, drawing his sword. The blade was already glowing a deep crimson as Koga prepared a Ra Setsu attack, Okami close on his heels. The Wolf went in first, drawing the Boar's attention away from Koga for a moment. Kuiaratame took on a sudden dark aura as Koga swung the blade, slicing into the flesh of the Boar before delivering a powerful punch, and another slash. As Koga backed off a moment, he noticed that the Boar had lost about a third of it's health. That was a good start. If Koga

Okami began to growl. Great, look at what you did Koga, you made him angry. And he's lunging toward you! Oh...wait...no he isn't. Oami zipped past Koga in a flash of white witha snarl. The man quickly scrambled to his feet as he turned around. What the hell was that? Ohhhh... Another Boar...well...maybe he could get porkchops this time? Koga let out a tired sigh as he drew his katana and Okami looped back around back to his side..."Here we go again bud..." Koga just wanted to go home. This was taking a while, he was cold, he was tired. But nope, this Boar had come to make his life m

Koga gawked as the man walked in like he owned the shop. WELL HERE'S SOME NEWS FOR YOU BUDDY, KOGA AND NOCT WERE THE OWNERS OF THIS SHOP, NOT YOU! The man unceremoniously tore off two request forms from the pad and began to jot down his orders. "I'll need this armor and this sword as soon as you can manage to make them. The armor can come first, if it must, but I'd rather not have to wait all that long. Message me as soon as it is done. Here's your payment. I hope I'll be seeing you soon." Koga had to physically exert himself to keep from punching this guy right in the face...but he needed the

"What are we doing out here bud?" Koga asked the Wolf, gently stroking his fur, "You really think we'll make it to the frontlines? Hell, even if we did, would we even be any use? Not like I've got some giant ass buster sword to tear it up with out there." Koga shook his head, as Okami sat on haunches, still patiently waiting for the man to get it together. "Ya know, you really are a good listener." The Wolf huffed at him as if laughing. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. There's a reason I don't let any of the others see me like this you know. So they don't do what you do and just laugh at me." Another

"What about you, Okami?" Koga said, gently flattening out the Wolf's fur, "You ever lose some you loved? Heh, I guess with all the players hunting and leveling you're bound to have...maybe I've even killed one or two...Sorry 'bout that bud...if you want, you can try to kill me. Wouldn't even stop you." The Wolf stepped closer, dipping its muzzle towards Koga's neck. But there was no ill intention in the motion. It was slow, and comforting. The Wolf nuzzled his wet, cold nose in the bend between the man's neck and shoulder, eliciting a quiet chuckle from him. "Guess that means you forgive me, h

[F04 - PP] The Second Wolf Hunt «Feeding your Enemy»
Koga replied to Tala's topic in Beginner Floors
The sound of the shop door slamming open startled Koga and was followed by the singsong voice of...Tala..."Kooooooooga!" At least she managed to remember to use his username. "Hey sis, whats up? Not just dropping by to say 'hi' to your loving brother are you?" the man greeted. "So, I am trying to find myself a familiar, and well, you know how we are with wolves. But this damned floor doesn't want me to have one apparently so I was figuring that since you have your wolf you would be able to show me the right floor to look at and even join me on the hunt." The girl stopped for a moment, fina -
Koga drew his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, letting his head fall forward. He'd been such a fool...Worse than that, he'd been a liar. He'd lied to Tsukiko. He knew he couldn't guarantee that either of them could live through the game. He couldn't guarantee that any would make it out. And yet he'd done it. He'd done it, broke his own rule, and he'd paid for it. The real kicker, he hadn't been the only one who'd had to. The real price, that'd been paid by Tsuki. Okami gently nudged the man's arm. Koga looked up at the Wolf and gently scratched the Wolf behind the e

Yes if and only if the rewards are limited to: - Discord Roles - Some sort of 'Wall of Acknowledgement" similar to the Memorial of Life...except not of dead players... - A custom role on the site which could be displayed on the home page - Similar rewards that have 0-effect on the game itself but acknowledge the work that has been put in

I'm gonna be very clear here at the beginning. I'm not trying to be an ass, or be rude, or anything like that. But I'm struggling to formulate a way to express this in a way that doesn't achieve that in the eyes of some party in some way shape or form. I adminned and wrote events and bosses for roughly three years, and similarly adminned on another site for another one or two years. I understand where staff is coming from, don't mistake that. Its grueling, its draining, and it generates way more stress than it has any right to. I'm a full time student, and whatever free time I had pretty

I mean, being a former staff member of multiple site or factions in these sites, I get why staff-members would like rewards for the work they do, really, I feel for you guys. But also, we always played under the same rules as everyone else. That meant no rewards that we would benefit us in the roleplay. We volunteered for the work we wanted to do in an effort to give back to the community, not the other way around, but that's just my two cents. THAT BEING SAID: There is absolutely no indication as to what these 'rewards' might be. To me, this poll is pretty ineffective or misleading only

Koga, almost trance-like, wandered over to a nearby tree and leaned his back against it, slowly sliding down the smooth bark to sit down in the snow, eyes staring blankly into the sky. What was he thinking? He couldn't protect Noctua. He couldn't protect Tala. He hadn't been able to protect Hikaru or Tsukiko, what made him think he'd be able to now? He hadn't been strong enough. If only he had been. If only he could have killed the Boars quicker. If only he'd had better gear, or fought harder. If only he'd taken the hit for her... There were a thousand things that could have been differen

Okami woofed up at Koga, his tongue happily lolling out of his mouth, a look Koga hadn't seen on the Wolf before. Apparently, the Wolf was enjoying himself as they hunted. And Koga was more than willing to bet that the Wolf had learned something out of that combat. "Alright bud, what'd we learn about fighting together?" The Wolf barked twice at Koga, "Yeah, we follow each other up and watch each other's backs. Good job. We're gonna have to keep training though if we wanna protect..." Koga paused for a moment as he thought more about what he was saying, "if we wanna protect Noct and Tala..." Ko

Koga stared at the Boar, Okami padding up beside him, apparently understanding that the Boar would die very soon. The Boar didn't seem to be done yet, though, leaping towards Koga, intent on getting one last good hit on Koga. Okami leaped between Koga and the Boar, but before the Boar could strike the last ticks of Burn and Blight went off, and the Boar disappeared in a cloud of blue fragments. The loot awards menu appeared and Koga grinned. It had been a long time since he'd actually fought anything that dropped loot...he'd gotten...HOLY BALLS NINE HUNDRED TEN COL?! He really should go o

The Boar was only just recovering from it's stunned state when Koga charged in again, Okami hot on his heels this time. Kuiaratame glowed crimson once more, a black flame igniting the blade. The swordsman knelt low and span as he slid towards the Boar, steel biting into flesh as the man executed a Gen Getsu. Okami got the hint this time, and leaped over Koga's head, sinking its teeth into the Boar before bounding away, just as the Boar caught fire. Its health was red already, and Koga knew even if he didn't his with his next attack, the Boar was done for. The Boar knew it to, and he wasn'

Koga and Okami got back to their feet, and they were both very irritated. Whether it was at each other or just in general wasn't really clear. All either really knew was that they wanted to kill that Boar and turn it into bacon...it would be the best tasting bacon ever. Koga's blade began to glow red and take on a dark aura as he charged his Ra Setsu sword art again. The Boar made his move, perhaps hoping to knock the man over again before he could execute the technique, but the Boar was too late. Koga swung his blade in a deadly arc, cutting across the Boar before punching the beast in t

Okami was moving before Koga...which was not a good thing in this case. The Boar was going right for the Wolf. See, anyone else might think this would be okay. Wolves hunted Boars all the time...I think...I dunno, I'm not a biologist or anything like that...But the Boar had big tusks...and Okami didn't. The Wolf was about to get gored if Koga didn't do something. The man rushed in, putting himself between the Boar and the Wolf. The sound of bone against steel echoed as Koga blocked the Boar's sharp tusks, but that didn't mean he could stop Okami. The Wolf, realizing it was about to sink i

Koga started dashing at the Boar, his blade glowing crimson as he charged a Ra Setsu strike. His sword arced through the air right towards the Boar's face...that was until a white blur got in the way. Koga had to stop dead short of his strike, but his momentum carried him forward. The man twisted his body and jumped, going right over the Boar, but knocking into Okami. The pair hit the ground. Well that was not a good start...And it was about to get worse. The Boar charged towards the downed player. 'Oh sh-' The man rolled out of the way, but only barely. The man shot to his feet, mentally chas

Koga let out a sigh. Yeah, he wasn't gonna figure out what his sister was planning right now. All he could do he guessed was keep his fingers crossed that whatever deities existed out there were on his side (ha, no, we're not Koga...at least not right now). Okami looked up at Koga as he sighed. "You're lucky bud," Koga informed the Wolf, "I don't think Wolves like you have to put up with the intense drama we people do. Fun to watch, not fun to be a part of." As Koga finished speaking, the Wolf's head snapped to the right, apparently having heard something. Koga's head swiveled in the same

Well...they had a strategy of sorts. But now they needed to actually test it out. And that was turning out to be way harder than it usualy was. Where were all these damn Boars? In the meantime, Koga let his mind wander. His siter was back, which was great but he knew she did not like Noct. At all...Which did not bode well for anyone. Koga wasn't sure what Tala was plotting, but all he could do was hope it wasn't too evil. That wasn't to say she was a bad person. No, not at all. Just jealous. She always got like that when he got 'distracted' from her. In the past, all she ever did was date

"Okay, well you're probably way squishier than me," Koga said...and yes...he did say squishy...Okami was squishy! "So that means you should hang back when we're fighting. I can try to make openings for you to get in extra attacks." Now the only problem was how he was going to do that..."Good point, bud," Koga said as the Wolf looked up at him. Had the Wolf actually said anything? No...did Koga imagine he had? Yes. Yes he did. "You could always just hit them from behind. But wouldn't you rather go for the throat?" The rambling continued. But ramble all Koga liked, it didn't necessarily mea
