Koga walked into the shop, for yet another day in a row. He was feeling good about today. He'd gone up a rank, so hopefully he'd make a few more crafts today. Only one way to find out. The man fired up his forge and worked the bellows, and began to set to work on the metal. His first craft was successful, but unimpressive. An Uncommon Two Handed Battle Axe. Alright, at least he made something. Next...ah a Rare Rapier, now that was more like it! One more time aaaand...oh...a salvage...Oh well, two crafts is better than one! Koga smiled at his work and packed it in for the day.

And here Koga was, yet another day in the shop. With yesterday's perfect craft, Koga was excited to start again and see if he could pull it off once more. With a newfound confidence, Koga worked the metal, occasionally humming or singing to himself as he worked. The first craft was a bust...but at least the man had managed to save the materials. Not letting himself get too discouraged yet, Koga set to work again. Heat metal. Hammer metal. Rinse and repeat. The ingot glowed brightly before becoming a well crafted one handed straight sword. Not perfect, like the katana had been, but still, a suc

Alright...today was gonna be the day Koga crafted something. He could feel. Okay, not really, Koga felt pretty delirious and tired from a general lack of sleep lately, but who knew, maybe that was the secret. Koga stepped into the forge and did the usual thing. Ingot, fire, hammer, attempt a craft. This time however, instead of disappearing into nothing, the ingot glowed bright blue before morphing into a perfectly crafted katana. A grin spread across the man's face. Finally. Time to do it all again! Koga repeated the whole process, but as he struck the ingot with the hammer once more, it

Alright, day two of trying to be a blacksmith. Koga could only hope that it would go better than it did yesterday. Even if he managed to salvage one material, he hadn't been able to craft anything, a blow to both his pride and hopes of actually being able to craft anything else that was useful. Nora's order would have to go on hold for a while, at least until Koga reached the proper rank. the man had even informed her that he wouldn't be able to craft it yet, and she hadn't rescinded the order...so for now it was still standing. Koga walked into the back of the shop, per usual, and grabbe

Koga watched with interest as the owner set to work on Koga's armor. He didn't seem to have any issues, whatsoever, the skill of a master. The needle moved in and out of the cloth and worked its way to stitching together all the pieces. Soon enough, the myriad of cloth and thread glowed brightly, before becoming the armor that Koga had envisioned. The owner carefully handed the armor over to Koga. "This should do the trick. If anything should go awry, you know where to find me." "Thanks, really impressive work," Koga said, handing the man some extra materials, "An advance payment. I'm sur

Welp, today was Koga's first day in the shop! Exciting stuff. The man went into the back room towards his forge and noticed a not on his anvil. It was from Noct, describing a custom order from Nora. Well, it looked like Koga was working on that today. Stocking the shop could come later. Alright, here goes nothing. A few hours of work later annnnd that was a bust..Koga swore as the materials disappeared into nothing, lost forever...Damn that sucks...Take two. Another few hours of work annnnd...another bust. Damn it. At least this time Koga didn't lose all his materials...Just served as a learni

On Floor One, in the Town of Beginnings, a myriad of NPCs and shops hawk their inventory at you. “I’ve got wares if you got coin!” they cry. But one shop in particular stands out to you. Tucked away in a quieter part of town lies a quaint building with a sign out front that reads, ‘The Ring and Sword’ and nothing else, barring the shop’s logo. Curious, you step inside the building and see a myriad of weapons lining the walls. Pushed up against those very same walls lie display cases, laden with daggers and jewelry. A counter sits near the back of the shop, with a door behind it and a shattered

Koga was absolutely lost when he stumbled across a shop with the name "The Crusty Bahrnacle". Normally, the man would've passed this kind of shop without a second shop, but for some reason, this particular shop intrigued him. Curiosity won out, and when he pushed open the door and stepped inside, Koga was glad it had. The quaint and comfortable room housed an impressive display of armors and clothes. It was at that moment, Koga knew he was about to make quite the interesting impulse buy. The man looked around the room at the various light-armors, but sadly, found nothing that quite seemed to s

@NIGHT I actually hadn't thought of that, and really like it as just a general improvement given the admins had infinite amounts of time to devote to the site but real life is lame Just having more options is always nice, albeit difficult to implement

TLDR So before I start spewing out my stream of conscience, I do want to note that I'm really new to SAO (sub one week) but am studying Game Design in college...so honesty, this just seems like a good time to practice what I've learned and apply it, I don't mean to step on any toes. That being said, in my opinion the issue isn't necessarily with the Sword Arts cooldowns themselves, but rather the energy regeneration system. (Note: I'm not sure if you're talking about conventional cooldowns, wherein you must wait x amount of posts before being able to use a Sword Art again, o
