[F21|PP]<<Betrayal of the King>>Our Battle Will Be Legendary!
Zajcica replied to Zajcica's topic in Intermediate Floors
The battle moved as ferociously as it had begun. Yuki was still waiting for her sword art to come off cooldown and oddly enough, her spear was quite good at keeping the Time King at bay. Clashes between their pole-arms was enough to send smaller rocks and bones scattered through the necropolis flying a few feet. ”Tch, amateur.” Yuki grinned and chuckled. Being cocky was too in her nature thanks to her insurmountable defensive prowess. The King’s spear found a gap in her defense reaching directly for her face. However, the paladin had shown her ability to grab weapons from lesser beings be -

Yuki gave her speech, glad that the members understood why she was so firm with them. Wulfrin was nice enough to supply some extra buffs, and even though they were detrimental to her build she would feel bad to not partake on a buff that would otherwise just be wasted. Hopefully the King had some good accuracy. As the group was finished in their setup, Yuki would turn to the two who were deciding to sit this tribulation out. "I would find cover, I'm known to be destructive." It was untrue, what she just said, but whatever she could do ensure the safety of others was necessary. After all, -
Yuki would wander into the familiar shop run by Bistro with purpose. She was hours out from one of the greatest fight she would probably participate in. Soloing the Forgotten Time King wouldn’t be easy, so she would need a bit of help from potions. Grabbing a couple of the damage potions from the shelf, she would take them to the counter and lay her total down for the shopkeep. ”Keep up your great work Bistro, Night gave good recommendations for you and I agree with her.” Yuki would bow and take her leave. Buying 5 Damage potions. 4000 Col.

The Paladin stepped up to platform of the tomb that was surrounded by graves. The single shinning light in the darkness of the necropolis she had brought her party to basically just to watch. *several hours earlier* Yuki had awoken from her sleep to learn that a quest she had never done was still on her list of things to do from before she had gone on hiatus. It was one where she would have needed Night’s help back in the day, plus several healing potions. These days, Yuki was basically invincible to anything that wasn’t labeled a floor boss. She could just go and solo the boss if sh

The paladin sighed as she stood as still as possible. Never in her life had she put on a formal kimono from start to finish and it was worse than any enemy in Sword Art Online that she’d ever struggled with. The mountain she climbed that was famously the largest mountain in Aincrad? Easy. Seven layers of fabric over another layer of fabric? Not. Just then, the tightness increased. “いったたたたたた!まあもう、ちょっと!余りに窮屈な!“ The girl cursed in her mother language as she continued to be dressed by her best friend. She loved the gender affirmation of wearing one when she could just equip it like armor but

The pulse of purple fumes wafted and shifted the more the bear tried to graze her with those massive claws. The paladin simply stepped away from it’s front side and charged it with her spear coming just short of putting a scratch on it herself, just when she was starting to feel like she wouldn’t be missing this fight. The last health bar was more round of attacks away from putting an end to this boss fight but Yuki wasn’t relaxing just yet. Her defensive posture never waned for a moment as she ensured the safety of her comrades and friends. A paladin’s job was to protect those who cannot -

The Paladin was stunned for a moment as she watched Freyd basically rematerialize from his death... They were far from each other and she couldn't really see him from the range but she knew it was him. The feeling in her chest was burning, searing even. "W-We can do this! Like I said, keep the focus away from Freyd's group and give them time to stabilize! Not much longer and we'll be eating good at my place!" The pink-ette did everything she could to keep her group level-headed in light of the events. Especially after hearing Hirru's battle cry. Everyone was still sticking to plan but it' -

Time would pass slowly and pleasantly as the paladin sipped away her life. She was still waiting for the call from the frontlines regarding a meeting for the boss. Though, that didn’t mean her work stopped. After some time, she had decided that people were probably too nervous to approach her. So the frontliner removed all of her armor, leaving herself completely unequipped. From there she would toss her finished tea and head into the crowd. It wouldn’t be difficult to find someone struggling. Managing through the crowd of people, she would nearly collapse when colliding with Ciel -

She always knew that this could happen. The moment that she heard Mina's voice echo from behind her with the the name of a cherished friend, Yuki's pink hair would have been akin to a whip with the speed she turned to witness the ongoing death of one of those people. For a moment, she froze. Time stood still to her. Cold washed over her and suddenly she was back on floor 4 with a really under-geared Freyd. He bowed in front of her with sincerity and spoke: "Thanks Yuki, for offering to help me. I have a long way to go, but I plan to work hard to get better. You've opened my eyes to what -

The paladin would finally struggle free, something she may have had trouble with if not for Hirru's barrier. Thanks to that help she was able to wait out the grapple and land a little clumsily on the ground. She would cough out the damp fur and disgusting smell of Callisto's breath from her lungs, not that it helped too much with the current environment but still. "Don't worry, holding on is my specialty." The paladin will yell out to Hirru. "Thanks for the help though, I'm free now! A few more rounds of attacks and he'll be finished. Keep up the pressure!" Yuki's lance would glow pink as -

Yuki would quickly find herself overwhelmed with the situation. Mist would roll in and the group would quickly lose each other despite how much attention she was paying attention to her group. The paladin sighed and did her best to use her searching powers but it only helped her to see the furry mass that would soon snatch her away. The paladin struggled to free her spear arm. "くそ。。。” The paladin would curse under her breath. "Night! Ariel! Anyone?! I could use a hand here! One that isn't furred and clawed!" The pinkette would yell out hoping that anyone would come to her rescue but she w -

The Paladin would see to it that her best friend was released from the jaws of the beast. The barrier around her kept her safe from any large amounts of damage. After trying several times to clench her in its jaws, Callisto would fling NIGHT away. Yuki would quickly fall back to catch her with aplomb before she struck the ground. The knight offered Night a smile as she put her friend back on her feet. “Got your back! Let’s show this bear our strength!” Yuki will say just as the damage buff came in. She would speed ahead of her sword, spear alight with pink energy and static of electricity -

Yuki was focused. The group had already had to dealt with her mistakes so she refused to commit another. Things were going relatively well thankfully, despite the jump-scare of Mina’s health dropping drastically low. Yuki would shift her approach from protect the president to offense once again before watching her best friend get yanked away from her unceremoniously. ”NIGHT! Hold on!” She would call out as she reared back her spear and leaped forward attempting to hit the bear as hard as possible in an effort to force its grip loose of her off tank. The spear glared pink as it sank into t -

The paladin moved close to her group in a defensive posture, focusing on making sure no one else took a grievous hit like Mina just had. Despite the problems they faced they had gotten the situation under control. The mist of former fighters caught her attention, mostly because she was keeping an eye out for any potential mobs to have to collect. Luckily they didn’t seem to do much against the groups. Just a memorial to those who dared to challenge Callisto before them, or those that had fallen to plague like he did. The paladin would see her sword art cooldown roll to ready once mor -

"I've had searching for some time, completely with Night Vision as well. I fear a day where the shadow haunts my dreams..." She will drone off, not wishing to explain the necessity of her choices to console the fears. She could act bold all she wanted but fear plagued her just like any other person. Yet without fear... can one muster courage? The intricacies of their situation was beginning to form. In all honesty, it warmed her heart to see how quickly the intelligent players of the frontlines band together to fix an avoidable mistake like hers. She was expecting some outrage from her co -
The paladin sighed and relaxed against the wall of a building in the square of the Town of Beginnings. She was now back into the scene of being a frontliner and really didn't have much to do between the scouting and labyrinth clearing. For that reason, she found herself looking back on her journey of leveling and taking in the sights that she missed thanks to the quickness with which she sped through most of the floors. Her goal at this moment was to see if she could find any low level players who might need help with easy quests, ones where a tank would be beneficial whilst they focused on le

[BR-F28] Paving the Way to Floor 29 [Team 1: Yuki]

The Paladin spearheaded her group towards the bosses’ territory, confidence oozing in a radiation of pride. The arena was a gruesome sort that pushed a mind towards despair but the Paladin had seen worse. By now she was sure the other frontliners were just as hardened to such sights as well. It was a trait one developed in the struggle for freedom. However, just as the bear made itself known, Yuki quickly began to realize her errors: She had forgotten to rearrange her build from her solo playstyle and had no way of generating hate to keep the attention on herself. She quickly began unload -
The slam to the stone caught her attention just as she had finished her speech. And there was only just a split second of what idiot just fell from nowhere before she’d realized it was her idiot. “Cro?! What are you doing?! Trying to kill yourself before you even walk into the boos room?” She’ll rush over to make sure that he’s okay. It had been quite a long time since the two had spoken with each other. When she was upset and depressed she preferred to deal with those emotions on her own, much to the dismay of her closest friends. Though she wondered if he had gotten her message not abou

It took some convincing, coming to the boss fight. She’d been out of the loop for so long now, it felt like, that she was beginning to think that maybe she wouldn’t belong. Long did she sit in Glyndebourne next to the teleportation terminal out of direct sight watching those who came after her head towards the boss room. Familiar faces and new fighting for liberation. After quite a few had already passed and she herself noticed the arranged time was approaching, Yuki downed the rest of her drink and plopped it back down on the table for staff to retrieve. The paladin would eventually find

"i said officiating, not official." Night’s words would go right over her shield’s head. She would look confusedly to her sword and simply ask. “What does fish have to do with a wedding NIGHT?” Yuki was about to continue before being interrupted by Freyd. “Hello Freyd. I know I haven’t been seen around for a while… I simply needed some time after the Shadow fight.” She didn’t need to explain herself to other, but the paladin was a vulnerable and honest person. Everyone was soon seated and without hesitation things got going fast. She was ready to return to the fight but she had

Yuki smiled pleasantly as her best friend enjoyed what was probably her best meal ever concocted. Even from the first bite she took herself she couldn’t believe how wonderful it was. It really showed how an amazing cook was really nothing without the perfect tools. As they ate their food, the obvious conversation would begin. She had been extremely absent with her friends recently. NIGHT would talk about how much she’d missed her before apologizing with how she might be bringing down the mood. The paladin would take a deep-sigh of relaxation as she dug into the warm kotatsu ever so slight

The paladin hurried with the speed that could match a cheetah. Night had told her the raid meeting would be today and since she had been out for a few floors she wanted to comeback stronger than ever. Her sword-wielding companion had neglected to tell her just until now that there was a wedding at the same time?! She didn’t even know what the theme was! Something about Freyd being too official or something??? Did she mean cool? Was that some new slang? Nevertheless, she would have to choose something formal and didn’t have time to guess much about what the theme would be so she donned her

Stepping into the inconspicuous potion shop, Yuki was surprised to see that it was themed like a drink shop. Seeing how people had designed their shops was interesting compared to hers. She wanted to be a cook when she got out of Aincrad, so working in a shop with Japanese themed food was perfect practice for that. Nevertheless, she was here for some buffing potions no matter how they were themed. "Hello, I just need five damage potions please. Will be helpful for my farming runs." The paladin will say, passing him the necessary amount of materials for payment. "Nice looking shop you have

"Your work is as lovely as ever. Thank you." The Paladin will say, taking the item and examining it ever further. It was perfect. Everything she'd imagined since she first started designing her build. Maximum mitigation and maximum thorns damage. She would take a moment to equip it and test her movement. The freedom of range was perfect and the plates were intricately aligned for protection. "I'll be back with more in the future. Expect me without a doubt. Your services have definitely been invaluable to me." And she will take her leave, she had more work to do if she wanted to perfect th
