"Keep up the fight. Never worry about a mistake until the battle is over- oof!" A pained breath escaped her lips when the Frost Beast swung it's massive arm into her chest. She gripped on to it as not to get flung away from the fight. "Temei! Shine!" The pink lance hummed with power once again, stabbing directly into the beast's face, leaving a gaping hole through its head on both sides. The elemental recoiled in pain with the attack, dropping the paladin to the snow exploding the blanket into a mist of white. When she rose, she looked up to check both their health bars and her buff timers.

"We're doing pretty good, it's nearly at half hp and we're both still looking fine." She said even though with one more attack it would bring her down lower than she had gone in over a month. As long as it didn't land any criticals on her, she would be fine.

Yuki was quick to get the two adventures out of the city pretty quickly when he agreed to her combat terms. Glad she could have some company to make sure she didn't get herself killed. This boss was heavy on it's damage, so hopefully it wouldn't land a bunch of critical attacks on her. Walking through the forest of evergreens covered by snow, Yuki didn't say too much but she would at least answer Freyd's questions.

"Just because I'm higher level doesn't mean there aren't harder bosses around. Floor five has a quest for a giant land shark that could do 15 times your health points in damage. This boss has eluded me up until now when I need it's special drop. I recently got an item that is only rare and I need it to be a perfect. You can be just as strong as me with time. I only started level around 6 weeks ago and I'm closing in on level 40. Dangerously close to tier 3." As she finished her sentence they were there, she held up hand to the boy and stopped. "Remember my rules, no heroics and be safe the entire fight. Once I land a hit, you are free to attack it. If I notice it's aggression changing, I'll tell you to stop."

Her lance materialized in her hand, no shield for now. If she couldn't hit it, it would be bad news for him so an accuracy trinket was much more useful here. Her magnificent white-golden lance hummed softly with power as it took on the pink hue of a sword art. The lance, bigger than it's wielder, pierced though the frost beast several times, flinging out chunks of its body. The ice golem raised its arms and brought them down on the paladin, who fell to her back blocking with her weapon. "C-C'mon you can hit harder than that!"

Yuki let out a relieved sigh as the snake met its demise. It exploded into nothing but data dust and was gone, leaving the girl with a moment to relax. Revenant and Argalia returned to her hammer space with a flash of light. Waving her arm to bring down her menu, she wanted to ensure that Night got her serving of the potion, since that was the entire reason that she was even here in the first place. Pulling it out of her inventory, she reached out and handed it over to her friend.

"This belongs to you, I would never need it for anything, so you know. Now can we go do a quest that doesn't involve snakes please, I'm getting tired of seeing this thing and its only the second time that we've fought it." She turned to look at the duo that had appeared mid battle, wondering what they were going to do now.

Upon hearing that she really was here for some questing, the paladin stood to her feet and straightened her back. Ariel greeted herself with a bow and a name, whew that was tough to remember. 

"Konbanwa, Kayla-san. Ore wa Yuki. Yoroshikune~" The girl said putting her thumb to her chest and giving the front liner a big smile. "Yep! You'll see me there for the floor 26 boss, uh hopefully. I'm doing everything I can to catch up with your guys' levels so I can help. I'm level 39 right now, but I haven't slowed my experience gain down yet. I'm determined to make it in time, been leveling for close to a month and a half. I think at least. I haven't really been counting the days or anything."

The gryphon inspected the lion momentarily, but quickly got the sense that she could become dinner if she overstayed her welcome. She lifted off and took roost on her master's head, getting comfy in her pink lockes.

The paladin was minding her own business when a cute little lion cub appeared in her view looking down. The lion took a moment to sniff the pinkette's leg whilst her master followed behind, stopping to look at the bulletin board that she too was inspecting. Aki, who was currently nesting under the paladin's cape, came out from it's hiding spot to inspect the other familiar. It landed on the ground as Yuki herself kneeled down to pet the lion cub.

"Hi there." The girl said with a smile, then looked up to the new face. She certainly carried a much more impressive air than Yuki did, that was for sure. "Evening, you looking to do some of the quests on this floor? Interested in partying up? If there are any drops unique drops you're looking for, I don't don't mind handing them over, I just need the experience. Tier three is waiting for me, after all."

Yuki reared her lance back. Even if she was a bit distracted thinking about her build in the future, she knew she was in a fight and that she needed to keep up her focus. The golden lance she wields gleams a pretty pink color, shining against the contrast of the forest. Running across the battle field around the group of bees that had surrounded the bigger tank player in a circle, she slashed her lance through each one of them. The area of attack was a useful thing to have in one's kit, but it was kind of annoying to see herself doing only 1 point of damage to anything when she did so. It was in these situations were she felt completely useless for anything. If another tank existed in the fight, what would she ever be good for?

"Crap, they have more mitigation than I can do in damage." The comment bit her lips as it came out. Was it worth it to stop working on her mitigation to get some damage in her build?

"As I said, my name is Yuki." The girl accepted the handshake firmly. He was asking the right questions, good to see. However, even if he knew what he was doing, the field boss was way out of his league to take on. "Let's get things straight here: Rule number one, wait for me to attack first and do not draw the enemies attention. I doubt you can do much damage, but its good to practice, but wait until I hit it once, or preferably twice. Rule Number two, stand behind it and don't get caught in cross fire. I know it sounds dangerous to flank, but trust me, it will not attack you if I have it's attention so you don't want to be caught in it's attacks. Rule Number 3, do not, under any circumstances try to jump between me and the boss. No matter how devastating the hit or damage, do not. Accept those rules and I will take us to the spawn."

"Where do you need me and how can I help?  What are we up against?  Are there any special details I should be aware of?" He asked. "Its an elemental golem. Nothing special about it that you should be worried about. No Area of Effect and it has extremely minimal phase, which means it bypasses armor a bit. Now, if you don't follow my rules, you could die. I know it sounds harsh but you've only got one. Do not ever try to take on anything that you cannot handle alone."

@Freyd - The Whisper in Shadows

Floor 15 was one that Yuki wasn't too familiar with. It was weird to think that this floor was out of her league with enemies anymore. The mobs on the floor would cry tears of joy if they could break her mitigation. It felt like just yesterday she was tier 1 and relying on everyone else to do most of the work for her. Well, even still she needed help to do quite a few quests, like the one she was looking at on the bulletin board in front of her: Bane of Blood. This wasn't a quest that she could do on her own. Maybe Night would be available to come along. The girl looked over some of the quest details and tried to determine how difficult would be.

"Hm... Impossible alone, hard for two people of Tier two probably. I would probably need another to come along. Maybe Crozeph would want to join." The girl thought out loud looking through her contacts and back to the quest information.

@Ariel - The Crowned Lion

As she suggested, the paladin would stay put for this round of attacks. Even with Alec here to help her fight, if she went over the hate that he had, then she would surely get focused out and it wouldn't be good for her. Her gear kind of sucked and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Crappy thorns and a slotted enhancement that is literally doing nothing to aid her. Such a dumb combination of items. Since Aki was going to be most of her mitigation, it was a wast of a slot to use mitigation on her armor. She would need to replace it with Heavy Momentum or Recovery or something similar.

Watching Alec attract the bees once more, she figured that she should get ready for the next round of attacks. Her damage was somewhat insignificant, but applying bleed was helpful enough to weaken them a bit.

"I mean, yeah. That's why I came out. I want to do something to improve our chances of getting out of here. I don't want to be a lifeless corpse to my family and not have to see them years longer. If I help the front lines, we can get out of here sooner and I'll come out with more pride than I've ever known in my entire life." Yuki said taking a bite of the edamame and a sip of her tea. Her gaze shifted outside the open door and onto the nature in her backyard. "I didn't mean to intrude on your reasons or anything, sorry if it was a bit rude of me to ask or anything."

"Y'know," The girl tried to change the subject. "This world is deceptively beautiful. I don't think I could ever have a house beautiful as this in real life. I don't think I entirely regret putting on the nerve gear. What if I didn't and I never got to meet great people like you and Shield?" Trying to make the best of one's situation was what Yuki was best at. Her smile shined over to her friend.

Yuki's eyebrow turned crooked at the boy's question. Of course she was talking with him. Her smile still came out.

"I don't really enjoy parlay with walls." She giggled shifting her hands to her hips. "Yes, I'm talking with you. You look like you aren't familiar with the area. The mobs on this floor do a minimum of 12 damage. Please do be careful, they might take you out in just two hits with the gear you have." Uh, maybe not the best thing to say dummy. If he is really level 1, that would be a terrifying thought. She raised her finger and tried to save the conversation. "But-! If you have someone like me escorting you, nothing will ever touch you. I am a tank after all. In fact, I was going to fight a boss that could launch you several levels if you joined me. Would you like to? If you do, I have only one rule: Listen to everything I say and don't do anything I say not to."

The paladin looked up at the timer on her immolation potion, it wouldn't be useful if she didn't get out there soon. "Besides! The boss drops an amazing item that can enhance your gear up to perfect if you ever find a nice piece of gear that isn't perfect! It's a win-win for the both of us!"

@Freyd - The Whisper in Shadows

With all her gear confirmed and ready, the girl closed her menu and drank the immolation potion that seemed to make her armor look even more threatening. With her menu closed, she noticed a pretty plain looking boy traveling through the crowd of other players and NPCs. She remembers going straight to floor 21 when she was level 1, so there really was no protest to seeing someone who looked so new to the game up here. After all, people did enjoy exploring higher leveled floors' safe zones to figure out where they wanted to live. Although, his demeanor seemed like he was looking for something. Mari and Shield had taught her how to play the game. Maybe she should introduce herself and make friends in case they ever wanted to climb.

"Oi!" The paladin waved the boy down, walking up to him. Her armor glinted brightly against the snow's bright contrast, along with her big toothy smile. "Ore wa Yuki. Yoroshikune!~" Her Japanese always escapes her. He probably didn't even speak it, but at least the global language detector would translate it into his common tongue. "I noticed you passing by. You look like someone who isn't well acquainted with this floor. Do you need help finding anything?" She wouldn't be able to help him for too long since the effects of the Immolation Potion would wear off if she dawdled for too long. "I'm a little busy, but I have some time to help you if you need it."

@Freyd - The Whisper in Shadows

The girl flinched as the snake emerged from the water unexpectedly, dropping her weapon into the water and grasping her shield with both hands. She cowered behind the hunk of steel, trying not to peak around it. A few seconds went on until she heard Oscar's voice. "Bye bye." The paladin looked past her shield just in time to see the snake's head explode, the force of the explosive blow nearly sending her to her back end in the mud. It took a few seconds, but Yuki sighed and relaxed herself, finally dropping her turtle-like guard at Oscar's comment.

"I-I'm fine..." The girl blushed, trying now not to show how scared she was to her friends. "Uh... yeah, here you go Night." The girl said taking the quest item from her inventory and passing it on to her best friend. "Can we take a break on the snakes now that you have a few please? Let's go kill something else already..."

Floor four, cold as [censored] and probably one of her favorite floors to visit every now and then. Japanese winter weather was really mixed with this floor's temperature. How Mari could stand living here on this floor, she would never know. She wasn't here to see Mari again though, she wanted to visit another entity on this floor: The Frost Beast. Five non-critical attacks and the Beast would be eating her boots.

The girl opened her menu and checked all her gear before heading out. Armor, Shield, Spear and Immolation potion. This wouldn't take long for her to finish on her own. Getting closer to Tier three was exciting knowing that she would be able to deal even more damage with her thorns to match someone's thorns akin to Shield. Well, that was just around the corner, so she would have to get together with Night to try and farm up some Tier three equipment before they got there. She could keep the weapons and Yuki could take the armor. Easy trade.

@Freyd - The Whisper in Shadows

The paladin worked around what the others were doing, both trying to wittle it down from the center of it's body away from the head. Suddenly, she was surrounded by the coil of the snake's body. No way to run from it's attack she did her best to hold her shield and protect herself. It's maw chomped down on the paladin's arm and she nearly lost her [censored]. "Nai, nai, nai-!" She screamed until the pricks of her thorns got it to let go of her appendage. A deep breath to calm her down and then another strike to keep up her taunt on the boss and everything would be fine.

Just as she went to make her attack, the snake seemed to disappear into the bog of the water, that or Yuki just couldn't find it. That made her even more nervous than before. The feeling you get when you see a spider on your wall, you go to grab a shoe and the spider is gone when you get back. Yeah, that feeling.

The snake was clearly close to the verge of death now that Night had landed her critical attacks. Blight and Burn afflicted the serpent and Yuki was feeling much better about the fact that it would die in a few moments. Hebi wasn't done yet though, it hissed at her angrily and lunged with it's maw gaping wide at the knight. Yuki's instincts kicked in. Tromping through the mud, the snake came within inches of swallowing her friend. The spear she wielded stabbed through the top of the snakes mouth holding it back. The two slid back slightly on the mud, Yuki bumped against Night as the force pushed her back. "S-Sorry, Night."

The pinkette twisted her spear off to the side and slammed the Hebi into the muddy pond they stood in. Her attack had done nothing but inflicted bleed, but her job wasn't to deal damage anyways. As long as she did what she could to protect Night, that would be enough for her.

Slipping through the mud surround the paladin, she can feel a riposte of an attack growing in hands. It would be a defining strike, she could feel it in her gut. The snake Reached past her arm, biting down on the large digit and inflicting barely any damage on her. How cute, it thought it could do anything other than tickle her. A little more confidence in her demeanor, she readied her spear and tried to stab the creature through the eye but it was already well out of her reach. A great opportunity missed.

Gritting her teeth and doing her best to get over it, the paladin readied for the snakes next attack, only to see Night land another critical attack. Damn this woman was keeping up with her hate too much. If only Yuki had an actual chance to hit the damn thing. "I'm not finished with you Hebi!"

Watching Night crawl on the snake's back like it was a horse was comical enough for one day, though even still Yuki couldn't find the will to smile, not around this stupid thing. It reached down to it's other side and attacked something completely different from the other two. No, she was sure that the snake should have attacked her. Even if she misses her attacks, she continues to gain hate. Adjusting her position, she could see that now paralyzed individual. Someone she had never met before with that shop owner up the hill from her house. Interesting.

"Oi! I am you're enemy stupid! You're going to focus on me!" With a growl of strength, the girl forced her spear through the Hebi's scales. She didn't like the idea of being hit with Para again, but she wasn't going to let the boy fall victim to the snake's venom. It instantly turned to her and hissed. He should be safe for another attack while he works off the paralysis. "U-Uh... Y-You gonna do something about it stupid?!"

As the Hebi came into view the paladin got something of a tail between her legs. This thing continued to instill fear in her like nothing else in this world ever had. It was such a basic enemy compared to something like Byakou or the lizard in the colosseum. Summoning her lance and shield from her pocket dimension, Yuki hid behind the piece of steel, trying to keep herself calm.

As Night made her first attack, the snake turned directly to her. It hissed angrily at the knight and lunged at her with its maw wide open. Luckily it's attack was just off and Yuki jumped in trying to impale it. The slime that covered it's body made attacks basically ineffective, but still she had gotten it's attention enough to keep it off of Night. As long as she could do that, she wouldn't be worried about how this turned out. She could just cry afterwards.

As much as she wanted to take up the offer of paralytic immunity, if she removed any of her gear she was wearing without a proper replacement of the same piece, she would be taking much more damage than she felt comfortable with. Her armor and her familiar buff were the primary sources of her Damage Mitigation. She shook her head. "No I'm fine. If I have to equip something I'm not suited to wear, my mitigation will take a severe turn for the worse. I think it's better I be ready to take the damage and help you guys deal damage through thorns and what not. I may have sat out Nemean Lion, but that's because I would have surely died. No need to worry about me so much, just let me keep you safe with my abilities."

The paladin gave them both a smile to reassure them that she was going to be okay. "Well, the longer we stand around here, the longer I have to smell this disgusting swamp."

Yuki kept her arms folded before finally she gave in and sighed. "I'm not going to sit out a fight cause I'm scared or anything. It's just an experience I would never like to relive." She looked back to Oscar with a bit of a challenging smile. "You think you can hold aggro over me? Did you forget that I'm a tank? I'm not the little pipsqueak you met during Nemean Lion anymore. I'm approaching the third tier fast than I thought I would. I might not be the greatest tank in Aincrad, but this snake has got nothing on me. I don't like it, but I'll deal with it and give Night an earful for bringing me on this quest for a third time after it's dead. So lead the way."

Yuki thought it would be best to let Oscar take the lead so that Night could keep an eye out for the danger noodle. Once it was found, he and Yuki could jump on it and weaken it's safe guard. By the time Oscar gets around to make his second attack, it should be vulnerable.

Yuki found her way out of her bed and dragged her feet through the mud. Making her way to the teleporter and waiting for Night to appear, she went to over to where they were meeting Oscar. She looked over to Night and sighed. "Man why do you have to bring me... I was promised no more snakes and directly after I'm doing snake after snake after snake. I swear, if this thing paralyzes me and tries to eat me again, I'm never doing this quest again."

The paladin folded her arms and pouted. There wasn't much of a reason for her to do this quest over and over again, other than being here to help Night collect the reward.
