  1. At the response from Koga regarding the fact that she'd beaten Freyd, the young woman couldn't help but to beam a smile at the other. "Better watch out!" she spoke, grinning a bit, but the cat-like grin faded into a smile after a moment as she shook her head. "Nah, I'm pretty sure he was like, totally taking it easy on me. He was just kinda, like, goofing off during the fight. And I need to get him back because he totally, like, whacked me on the ass with his staff," the girl spoke, looking somewhere between both cross and amused at the thought of it all. However, as Koga turned his

  3. Astreya could practically see the other girl trying to psyche herself up for this. She supposed she couldn't blame her- this was the first real combat she was getting into and that was going to cause a certain amount of trepidation. Astreya had felt it too- when she'd first been out here. She knew the danger and fear and everything that mixed together into a cocktail of emotions when you were taking your first swings at an opponent, and she couldn't help but to smile in empathy- she knew how that felt. But then it seemed all of that winding up, emotions coiling within Mel finally sprun
  4. The boy didn't talk much- she was starting to pick up on that as she babbled without end, and he mostly just watched her with a casual look. It didn't even seem like he was being judgmental so much as he was being thoughtful about everything, like he wanted to keep everything contained, separated and categorized in his mind, only letting out what he thought was acceptable to do so. "Sorry if I'm like, talking a lot. Just a kinda, like, how I am," she admitted with a small grin, a light tinge of red touching her self-conscious features. All the same, as she had indicated the quest, he h
  5. Astreya could see that her friend's attention was focused on something and she imagined that Melodie had seen one of the boarlets. "Okay, so like, since I'm not on the quest, I can't see them or like help or anything," the girl spoke, adjusting her blade on her back. If something were to happen, she wouldn't really be able to step in and help her friend against the baby boar but hopefully that wouldn't be an issue at all. "So just take it slow, ready the sword art and then, like, smack it! If you do it right you can take it out in one shot!" the girl cheered, excited for her friend. T
  6. "Yeah! Baking's like, more science-y but cooking's all about feeling and gusto and, like, all of that," Astreya agreed with a small nod toward Gaius, before beaming a smile over toward Koga at his approach. "Oooh, welcome back to the fun, Koga! Time to lose all your sweet treats!" she cheered. As the cards were dealt, Gaius' own thoughts on the young woman were right on- she practically was bouncing in her seat in anticipation. Getting to play a game, a mutual game at that, with everyone else was like a dream come true for the young woman. She was excited to see people getting togeth
  7. "It's good! I beat up Freyd!" Astreya responded to Koga, a grins reading across her features in response to the question. Of course, she was still fairly sure that the man had taken it a little easy on her, but she wasn't really all that fussed about it. She'd wanted a good fight and the man had played goofy with it. She'd still want to track him down and talk to him later, but right now that wasn't something she had time for. Nari needed help, and so help she would give! Or rather get. From Koga, specifically. "Yeah, he was the party host!" Astreya added onto Nari's words, not rea
  8. The young man had taken the time to finish his sip of coffee before he had finally looked up at her. The response was equal parts short and enigmatic, mostly because he didn't really give her much to work with. She wasn't a bother, which was good, she supposed, but he also wasn't waiting on anyone. That meant that he was here alone- he'd also conveniently dodged the question regarding whether or not he was here for the quest, which mean that he either was and was too shy (or independent) to state it... or he wasn't and just happened to be relaxing here. But then he stood, and looked to
  9. The girl gave him a slight grin in response to his words. "No idea if like, she'll be there. She's pretty fickle when it comes to like, just about everything," the girl admitted with a shake of her head. The bird just tended to come and go whenever she felt like and it was hard for her to keep the creature under any amount of control at all. "So like, if she wants to be there, she'll be there. Otherwise I might be able to call her? It's hard to say- she's, like, totally independent when it comes to just about everything." She expected it was because the creature had been basically coddl
  10. "Oooh, 'Indulge' is such a good word!" Astreya commented, the girl getting a little bit more excitement out of just the general increased vibe of the entire situation. Things had been relatively quiet for a time and she was a little uncertain exactly on how things were going to proceed. Koga was hosting this party, but he himself had admitted that he didn't really know much about running the whole thing or throwing one- he'd just sort of done so to try and meet more people. Hopefully that had succeeded, but there wasn't much going on at the moment- just a lot of mingling. However, unli
  11. Astreya-approved! (Cool it with all the 11s hahaha)
  12. The young woman nodded back at her new friend, grinning slightly in response. "Like, I know the blonde girl out there- that's Astralin. She's pretty cool but like... a little weird? She's trying to like, become some sorta magic user but there... isn't magic here in Sword Art Online," the girl spoke, giving a small shrug of her shoulders. "I don't really get it, but like... maybe that's the thing about the roleplaying or whatever you were talking about the other night, right?" she asked, referring back to the party where they'd first met. "So maybe it's just like a roleplay thing? Man, I
  13. Astreya grinned widely at the man's words. "I don't know about old, necessarily, but that's definitely not a normal taste, like, at all!" she spoke, giving him a small laugh. "But yeah! Totally stop on by! You can be my first and then like, you can show me whatever pet you get! Maybe Frosty will like it?" she spoke, giving a small smile toward him, and she gave a slight shrug of her shoulders, not sure if the creature would like anything. The bird just generally was standoffish toward...just about everything. However, at his sudden question, she blinked, looking up at the tree. "Oh
  14. Astreya hummed to herself as she moved from one place to another in the town, mostly just taking in a bit of remembrance here. She didn't actually think she'd run into @Freyd here again- that was just wishful thinking- but all the same, there was something familiar about this town, almost as much as the Town of Beginnings. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that this had been the second time she was actually scared for her life, not too far away from here, in the nearby cavern. She'd come in with Freyd to do a quest, to help get her leveled up a bit... but what had nearly ended up happening
  15. Foraging Roll Failure! +3 EXP -------- "Right? Having good company is the best!" she agreed with a smile, once more folding her hands behind her lower back, bending forward slightly as she watched him continue to look for the Demonic Scale. Sure, it was a difficult thing to find (it took her forever to find hers too) but it was nice to be able to spend this time with someone that was good to talk to. But as he agreed to stop by her shop before he left, she couldn't help but to beam a smile his way. "Cool! I'll, like, make sure to have one ready for you! I hadn't had any custom
  16. Post Action: Foraging! ID: 203343 LD: 18 (Success!) CD: 2 (No Critical) | 1 Materials | 5 EXP ----------------- "I don't know about amazing but, like, I'm learning. Gives me something to do instead of just kinda... y'know, hanging around the first town and just like, waiting for something to happen. Or to get up the nerve to, like, totally go out and do some questing," the girl spoke, giving a small grin. " But sure! Especially like... I think I can make a song that helps if you're totally trying to get a pet in the future! Let me know and like, you can stop by my place and I
  17. Gaius was someone who was loud, crass and more than a little bit too much all at once. So of course, Astreya liked him immediately. The smile on her features widened at his response to her, giving the man a small laugh in response to his words. "That sounds awesome! Well I had some of Blueberry's desserts and they were like, so good, so like, if you taught her...sorta?" the girl spoke, her train of thought derailing for a moment at the idea that he had taught Blueberry by teaching her nothing at all. "Anyway! I'll definitely stop by!" she spoke, giving him a small grin. And the
  18. Astreya had put her hands up to her mouth to give Astralin another whooping cheer, but before she had the chance to do so, she caught sight of someone waving at her from the side, and the brunette paused, turning to glance over before her eyes lit up. "Nari! I caught parts of your fight! You did, like, so good!" the girl spoke, giving her a smile and a grin as she came closer. As the girl stumbled over Jomei's name, Astreya couldn't help a small giggle of laughter, moving her hand over her mouth, trying not to be impolite to the girl. "Jomei, right?" she asked, mostly just wanting t
  19. She heard Nari start to speak before the girl lost her voice. Astreya frowned slightly, worried that maybe the girl would've just reverted back to how she had been before. She didn't really know if she could help to teach the woman overnight how to be a people person. Astreya had just always been a social butterfly, and between her own innate ability to read (usually) read conversations as well as the learning that her father had pushed down upon her as well, she had gotten pretty good at doing it. Besides that, she just really enjoyed being around people and talking to them. There we
  20. Pre-Fight: As Jomei started to backpedal a bit from what he'd said, and per his own admission, a poor attempt at a joke, some of the confusion (and concern) from Astreya started to evaporate a bit. Not that she had pegged Jomei for being the kind of guy where that was his ambitions was to get fame and recognition for being on the front lines, but that was mostly where her confusion had stemmed from. She was usually (albeit not always) a good read of people, and she hadn't really gotten that sort of boastful arrogance from the irishman, so when he'd said that, it had caught her a little s
  21. If his words intended to bring confusion to the young woman, they absolutely succeeded. She blinked, pausing slightly in a lack of understanding following what he was saying. Had they just like... had a meeting instead of a boss fight? She paused, imagining Freyd, Jomei, Koga and the other people she'd seen and talked to about the Front Lines dressed up in business suits with a giant monster rather than doing any sort of actual combat. That was not at all what she'd expected to see or hear, and Freyd had taken full advantage of that as he had dove forward, and by the time that Astreya real

  23. "Okay, like, other people have said that too. But like... how are you gonna find me with just my first name? It's not like I'm gonna give out my last name. Now that's totally silly," Astreya spoke as she gave a small spread of her hands, shrugging slightly in response to Nari's words. It wasn't that she was trying to be mean or be rude about it, and the girl hoped it came across that she genuinely didn't understand the logic behind it. That giving out one's first name was dangerous, in some way that she didn't quite follow. But as she continued, Astreya lifted a hand to her jawline i
  24. Astreya had been quite surprised to see her attack go clean through his guard- so much so that she very nearly hadn't even continued the strike, having been prepared to pull backward on it, and follow through with a counter strike. But when it landed for a point, she actually paused for a brief second in confusion as he returned her greeting now. "Like, totally! I told you I was going, to, like get up to the Front Lines! It's not like Volleyball where I can just, like, practice, y'know? Had to beat up a lot of monsters!" she called out, shifting herself slightly as she brought her wea
