"Ohmygosh!" Adelyte exclaimed as she came to a halt. "I never even thought of all the little babies who just wanted to play a game!" Her realization brought on a sudden sadness, distraught by the fact that, not just adults but, children were stuck in this death game. Being forced to survive on their own, without their parents. "Everyone I had met so far was an older teenager.. or an adult. I never would have thought..." The tears that welled in her eyes seemed like drops of saltwater drawn from the sea beside them. When one finally escaped, it traced a slow path down her cheek, like a wave bre

“Oh you know Wulfrin too?” Adelyte perked up, looking over her shoulder at the fisherman on the dock. “He helped me out with a quest I needed to take. Would have been totally boring if he hadn’t come along.” Bringing a hand to her mouth, she spoke as if she was telling a secret, but did not reduce the sound of her voice much, but rather mumbled. “Would you believe me if I told you he spent that whole time fishing too?” She laughed it off as her brain processed talk about making weapons. “Wait, Wulfrin can make weapons?!” smacking herself in the forehead, “Jeezlouise, I should have asked him to

At least there was one face that she recognized after all. One of the only people she actually had a chance to go on a quest with; Wulfrin! Stepping his way across the beach, after a quick pit stop to drop off what looked like a cake, he would set up his rod at the end of the dock. Crimson orbs rolled in their sockets, of course he was fishing. With a curling smirk, she would cup her hands around the sides of her mouth before shouting, "Of course you would be fishing during a party!!" Once she had his attention - if he even cared to turn in her direction to address her - she would offer a

Crimson eyes stared at flat, stone platform in the center of the circular plaza. Every couple of moments, a blue ball of energy would appear, and with it players traveling to and from the Town of Beginnings. Adelyte herself had never used the warp pad before, fear of the dangers much stronger than her lurking on each higher floor. It was not often she let that frightened emotion show, and she mustered all of her strength to put on a brave face. But as she stood 10 feet away, white knuckling the handle of her shiny, never-used, hammer.. she stuck out like a sore thumb. "You know, when you

A tiny tickle on the tip of her nose caused Adelyte's nose to scrunch in response, a weird, passing sense of pastries being shared behind her back. Couldn't be. Adelyte entered Zachariah's shop with a pep in her step, "Potion seller! I come to you with ingredients to make THE best potions of all time." Strutting directly up to the wooden counter top, she would summon her inventories with a a swish of her finger. With virtual pockets as empty as hers (aside from multiple croissants) she was quick enough to find and materialize the materials onto his desk.. flopping fish included. "H

It seemed as though Wulfrin and Nymoria had finished up as well. Neither of them looked too happy with their success, but coming home with anything while keeping little ol' Adelyte company was enough of a prize. Especially since she liked to talk their ears off.. they didn't seem to mind that though. "Ooookay, lets skedaddle then. I'll lead the way. Don't worry, friends, I've got a picture perfect memory. This'll be a piece of cake!" ..Famous last words.. The entrance to the cavern was dark, and the smell of something rancid was carried on the damp, stale air that seeped from t

"Oh no no, no offense taken at all!" Her hands waved feverishly in front of her in Nym's direction, emphasizing how much she was not bothered by her comment. "I didn't even think to take it that way. I knew you were being reassuring and polite." She pointed two fingers towards Nymoria- two finger guns, to be exact - and added a cheesy grin. "And I appreciate that, so don't even worry 'bout it, kay?" "Honestly though. Thank you guys for actually helping me out! If I came out here alone all by myself, I probably would have just quit. And even thought I know you both enjoyed my company, hop

Adelyte would turn to look at Nymoria, just staring at her silently, blinking with wide eyes. It was an expected response, and she wasn't wrong.. but sounded a lot more poetic. ".. that was deep, bro." Adelyte finally said with a small, breathy laugh of her own afterwards. "You're not wrong, those books would be boooring without some kind of build up. So don't mind me, I'm just complaining." With a shrug of her shoulders, she would push herself up to a standing position, before placing her hands on her hips. "I'm just impatient. Luckily I only need one more." "Well I'm glad someone is be

"I enjoy partaking in the romantic arts, from time to time." she would say to Nym, making sure to turn her body so the girl could easily read her lips. "Nice little fantasies to indulge in. Dive into the pages of the book itself and put myself in the characters' shoes." Adelyte continued to sit by the river side, looking out across the water once more.. almost longingly. "Well, I guess we are all living a bit fantasy adventure now, right?" the girl would say as she shifted her legs and hips to turn and face her two companions. "And we can fill the pages with whatever we want." Adelyte so

The fish flopped and flailed in the air by its tailfin, nearly causing Adelyte to lose her grip. "Not so fast," and into her inventory it went. Her hand wasn't dirty or slimy from holding the fish, but a part of her felt as though it should have been? Not that she ever held a fish before, but her imagination had run wild with how they felt until now. Kind of underwhelming. A quick wash of her hands in the water, and she felt good as new. "Oh yeah, that's right!" Adelyte chimed as she rose to full height before slowly moving along the shoreline, watching her step so she would not slip and fall

Lips curling into a smirk, she would bring her hands up behind her head and struck a pose. Looking in Nymoria and Wulfrin's direction with a playful wink, "Are you implying that I am quite the looker, Nym?" Her remarks entirely sarcastic and rhetorical - she knew she had the looks. Though, the potential hidden meaning behind Nymoria's silent comments passed right by her, and she simply took it as a compliment. Her crimson orbs slowly scanned the water, not only looking for any materials for foraging, but for any fish that Wulfrin could be missing. With slow movements, she would step clos

Adelyte snickered to herself as Nymoria's translation filtered into her head. Her little gremlin smirk softened to a more genuine smile as the giggles faded. "Sorry, Nym. Sometimes I just say whatever pops into my mind, don't always think before I talk." The girl walked with her fingers interlaced behind her back along the rocky shoreline, her long, azure hair swaying behind her with each step. "Usually its just jokes.. or inappropriate comments. Got me into plenty of trouble. But that's what made it fun." Turning her gaze to the gently flowing stream beside her, she would look out over it for

That was.. an interesting thought. How would their cozy little stay in Aincrad change them all once their souls were finally returned to their bodies. Would it be for the better, or for worse? She pressed the heels of her hands into her temple, before raking her fingers through the hair that framed her face. Philosophical chats, existential dread, she didn't exactly schedule those for the day. So with an exhale through her nostrils, and a returned pep to her step, she brushed it off. Both of her companions mentioned there being no real tricks to finding materials, maybe save for items th

[FL1-SP] Painter? I hardly know her! (EaL: Artisan)
Adelyte replied to Adelyte's topic in Beginner Floors
Slipping back through the window of her room, she plopped herself down on the bed and summoned her inventory with a flick of her pointer finger. The painting of the bakery materialized into the space just before her, hanging suspended in the air for a moment before grasping it with each hand. She admired her work once more with a soft smile on her face before resting it on the bed beside her. With an energetic vault off of the bed, her feet hit the ground once more. Interlocked fingers stretched high over her head and slowly fell back to her sides. Adelyte stalled in her room for a bit, hoping -
[FL1-SP] Painter? I hardly know her! (EaL: Artisan)
Adelyte replied to Adelyte's topic in Beginner Floors
Peeking past the canvas set up before her, she looked at her subject from the small balcony provided with the premium corner room of the inn. The humble shop, nestled between two other buildings an extra story taller, a store front as welcoming as the delicious scents that waft out the open windows. One of her favorite spots to frequent, Maison du Pain, a French bakery with the best pastries she had ever tasted. Pursing her lips with a hum, she looked back and forth between the painted canvas and the bakery. Feeling satisfied with her work, a smile would stretch across her lips. With a few fin -
♦Lv1 Adelyte The first floor and the Town of Beginnings had such hidden beauty, both within the city's walls and without. It didn't receive enough credit within conversations about the other floors. Adelyte's biased opinion, of course, since she had not ventured any further than this first settlement. She told herself she would move to the next floor once she had seen all there was there was to be seen, but the reality was that she was scared. Still at first level, no combat experience, a friends' list about as empty as her inventory. There were so many qu

Adelyte pondered for a moment on Nymoria's question. Then she took advantage of Wulfrin answering first so she could think about it even longer. All she had heard about were the frontlines - the best of the best putting their lives on the line to make sure they could one day see their friends and family again. Those players were always made out to be heroes, and the glory of it all sounded appealing. But.. did all that glory mean anything when their lives could be snuffed out in an instant? Sure, she was putting herself in danger any time she would step out from the city's gates, but at least

"That takes dedication." Adelyte chimed in to Wulfrin's journey through the desert in search of Solaris the phoenix. "But it looks like it was worth it in the end." her eyes followed the bird as it circled in the air above them, its feathers looking like roaring flames as the sun's light hit them. "As for this one.." Adelyte would step a bit closer towards Nymoria and Musei, slowly and cautiously. Lowering herself down to a flat footed squat, hands on the knees, she would smile at the adorable creature, "Sounds almost like it was meant to be." After admiring the weasel for a moment long

Adelyte hummed a prolonged "Hmm~" as she rose to her feet and looked around the glade. Zachariah said he needed flowers, herbs, and the like.. and usually plants like that were decently easy to come by. So why weren't they in abundance everywhere she looked. She puffed out her cheeks for a moment, before letting the air slowly let out like a balloon. This might take a bit.. "No luck yet." she called back to Wulfrin, "but I only just started." Peeking over her shoulder, she saw that the two other players sat next to each other by the lake's shore. Another two accompanied them, a fiery

As the group step foot back into the rainy streets of the Town of Beginnings, Wulfrin had taken the lead. Apparently he had his own special spot where they could set up, further away from any real danger, and close enough to a pond where he could get some fishing in. At least it wouldn't turn out to just be her trying to gather some materials while Wulfrin and Nymoria watched her closely like a baby learning how to walk. So it was a win win for all of them. Adelyte offered a casual, two finger salute to Marv the guard, who Wulfrin addressed as they passed through the tall stone gates. "K

"Whatever you say" Adeltye winked playfully to let him know she was only teasing him, making an 'ok' gesture by pinching her thumb and index finger together. She had to admit, the idea did seem pretty cool - let the holder of the leash do all of the hard work while the leashed follows along in their own world. Dare she say it was even a bit romantic? "You two have your fun with your leash adventures. Sorry, tether." The two gave her a bit more detail about what's to come. After meeting with the Alchemist Zachariah and completing their little job, he would send players to another two NPCs

minimizing your chance of death. - Oh, wonderful. That didn't slightly make her regret trying her hand at stepping out of the town's safe boundaries at all. "Well then.." she began, through a nervous chuckle "Maybe that's better than actually having to lend a hand, you know? My life is pretty important to me, so that is very welcome." As Wulfrin seemed to shift his focus to his own menus, Adelyte turned her attention back over towards Nymoria, who was sharing information about the quest similar to what Wulfrin had told her. Alright, so at least neither of them were lying about what

"That was my second guess." her lips would spread out into a warm, friendly smile. Turning her attention back towards the man in the red coat, she would nod her head. "Yeah, I've honestly never done much in terms of questing, or leveling.. or fighting anything really." her words accompanied a shrug of her shoulders. "I've probably spoken to Dorian sometime in the past.. however long its been.. but always just ignore him." Pointing a thumb into the center of her chest, she would introduce herself, "I'm Adelyte, and its a pleasure to meet you both." "So. What it sounds like to me

Dorian did not have anything else to say to the girl. Probably had too many important mayor things to attend to. No matter, she was given a place to go, a person to see, and a goal to accomplish. Shouldn't be too difficult. The player she had blamed for her crimes moments before crossed the way and approached her, asking if she was new to this quest. "What makes you think I'm new?" she curiously asked, "I could be one of the top frontline fighters, for all you know." she added with a playful wink. She definitely looked the part, no denying that. "Hmm.. I suppose it couldn't hurt to have

♦Lv1Adelyte A thick layer of grey clouds hung over the Town of Beginnings, bringing with it a light, afternoon rain shower. Soft booms of thunder rumbled in the distance, never seeming to get closer or farther. The rain pattered against the neatly lined stone roadways, soaking rooftops, market stalls, and any thing - or person - unlucky enough to be outside for too long. A chilly, dreary day to most.. but there was no less beauty to it than if the sun's rays warmed the floor with its embrace. All bodies, both computer generated and player characters alike, wandered th
