  1. Bismuth had heard through the grape vine that his friend Nari had a blacksmith shop, and finding himself in need of a new blade, he decided that he might as well stop by in order to say hi, and buy himself a new one. The shop was located on the highest floor that the frontliners had only just recently gained access to, an apt place to put a shop looking to sell weapons. It wasn't hard to find the Winter Fox Smithery, he had been given pretty detailed directions when he asked about it earlier, and that made it almost impossible not to find. Opening the door Bismuth could hear the feint rin
  2. The portal light enveloped Bismuth as he called out for the town of beginnings, his eyes tired from another all nighter, he had been setting up his shop on the third floor, and finding all of the ingredients that he would need in order to support himself as a business took a lot out of him, though he would never admit that to anyone. The familiar sight of the town of beginnings was a welcome one, this was the place that he had called home for a very long time, and parting with it was odd to Bismuth. Bismuth knew he was going to be the last one at their designated meeting place but did nothing

  4. Next to a small creek that runs through the small floor three town of Flora, lies a small quant tavern opposite a cobbled bridge. A hand painted wooden sign dubbing it The Bistro sways gently in the wind creaking softly as it does. This two story tavern is one of the more grandiose buildings in the town, being made of cobbled stone walls with a tiled roof, something not commonly seen in Flora, the stonework having moss and vines on it, but not enough to look decrepit, just enough to accentuate the essence of the town around it. Upon opening the thick wooden doors, a small bell rings in order f
  5. The quest was almost over, and it had been a long one for seemingly everyone involved, Bismuth was ready to just go in and craft the potion and get to the third floor, he loved the fell of the small town of Flora there, and was planning on setting up a shop for his cooking there. Making it into the shop, it was as messy and cramped as ever full of all kinds of different potions and apparatus's for making them. Nari, who came in with him seemed very distracted, and offered up no conversation while they worked, so Bismuth didn't either. Bismuth took all of his materials and grinded them do
  6. Bismuth didn't have time to turn around before he saw what Zandra was doing, if he tried to turn around now, he would for sure take her sword directly to the shoulder. Instead Bismuth dropped into a crouch, narrowly avoiding the swing entirely, spinning his body Bismuth led with his dagger, slicing it along her shins before coming to a stop. Bismuth couldn't believe it, that was his third hit, and by the rules, meant that he won. Never having expected to win, a lot of the fear washed out of Bismuth's body, maybe he actually did have the skill to become a frontline combatant, that was until he
  7. If the pain that was now flaring up Bismuth's side from the solid hit his opponent had given him was any indicator, then more experience was definitely more than enough to get by his sneak attack. Bismuth was all too familiar with the pain that came with being hit with sticks, and he didn't let it faze him, he couldn't die here, and he was determined to show himself that he had the skill to make it to the frontlines. Bismuth sidestepped his opponents thrust as he charged, bringing his dagger slamming down onto her outstretched arm as he did. The only advantage that came from using a dagg
  8. Bismuth heard Nari's questions as she leaned closer to him, chuckling a bit under his breath, he was anything but good with people. Opening his mouth to respond to his purple haired companion, Bismuth was interrupted by the woman in question NIGHT, with seven simple words from her Bismuth knew exactly what he would whisper back tomorrow. "I think you still have a chance, just take this slowly, not all people can get away with being as brazen as me, invite her for coffee after this quest, and just get to know her, I am sure things will go fine if you do that." Bismuth gave his companion? Friend
  9. Bismuth found himself flinching as his opponent's weapon started it's swing, it wasn't even close to him yet, but the fear was real. Pushing past any sense of fear bismuth gave his opponent a small smile and shaky nod. The sword was coming diagonally from the right, so in his eyes, the easiest way to dodge would be to dodge towards the sword at the apex of its swing. Rolling towards his right Bismuth could hear the air rushing by his head above him as the wooden weapon missed him narrowly slicing his dagger out as he rolled to catch his opponent on the thigh as he stands out of his roll now sl

  11. "Well it isn't a pie, that's for sure." Bismuth smiled over at Freyd, almost all sign of his moodiness gone. "But hopefully it's still good." with that Bismuth pulled out a silver platter with a couple of pieces of sushi on it and placed it in front of Freyd "For my very first cooking attempt, I think I did okay. And with this I have officially finished the quest." the smile faltered a tiny bit at that notion, but it came back just as strong. "Thankyou for your help, you can keep the sushi, as a thankyou, I don't have any use for it really." Bismuth looked to be in thought for a moment be

  13. Bismuth chuckled "I can't imagine you looking an different." he walked up to Maggie only rolling his eyes at the mention of requiring a taste test. "I gathered all the berries you were looking for, do you think you could show me how to make a pie?" Bismuth was clearly eager, getting a profession was an exciting prospect. especially one that was going to be so tasty. It didn't take much time under Maggie's skilled tutelage for Bismuth to get the hang of mixing together the proper ingredients to create what he was aiming for, and for it to taste like anything other than bland oats, though F
  14. Nari was finally done getting all of the materials that she needed to finish their quest, and when Bismuth heard that it snapped him back to reality. "We need to go back to the alchemist, and then he is going to teach us how to craft a potion." Bismuth explained as he got off the ground dusting himself off for the second time that day. "Not much longer though, it shouldn't take too long to finish that." Not looking back at any of his companions Bismuth began walking towards the entrance to the beginner village that had brought them out here, he was walking slow enough to make sure that anyone
  15. Birds and insects, the general sounds of a morning spent in the wilderness, this was all that filled Bismuth's ears as he groggily woke up, still in the tent that he had set up in his basin. Morning's weren't something that Bismuth coped with very well, every time he woke up thinking was like trying to walk through oatmeal, and this morning was like every other. Had he had a dream about a lion and an old man? Bismuth shook his head as he got out of his matted bedroll, whether he was tired or not, he still had the whole day to get to, and he had a bird to search for. This morning was like all o
  16. "So far I have only heard of two of your guild members, and it's you and this blueberry fellow, it seems like everyone in your guild has their own brand of eccentrics, but I will make sure to give tributes if I keep up with the blueberry theme." Bismuth scanned his bushes again, so far he had done nothing but just stare at them, with these glasses, not a lot of actual looking was required. Soon enough the faint blue outline could be found around one of the bushes, and so Bismuth walked to the bush and put a handful of blueberries into his inventory, the blue fading out as soon as he did.
  17. The hermit was right, Bismuth had never seen this man before in his entire time in Aincrad and he had spent a large amount of time outside like he had now, clearly this man hadn't wanted to be seen, but why had he been watching him? Bismuth wasn't sure if his questions were going to be answered but he was finding it harder to ask questions with the sound of the lion behind him, idly laying down. "You have talent, I will give you that, but you lack the training that nature can give you." The hermit continued his speech as he talked to the young explorer before him. "You lack actual experience,
  18. "I am disappointed in you, Bismuth." The man sitting in front of him spoke in a slow methodical voice that sent chills down Bismuth's spine. He was ready to just turn around and flee before he heard a large thump behind him, as if something had landed from above. Spinning around Bismuth fell backwards he dagger falling out of his hand as he landed hard on his ass, eyes wide and filled with fear, as a stunningly white male lion stood behind him it's golden eyes seeming to pierce through him as it just stood there watching him. "Don't go fleeing now, we haven't had a chance to talk." The calm vo
  19. Bismuth heard what Nari asked him not really giving it much thought before he felt his mouth open in response "No." Bismuth replied very simply staring at the sky he knew was just a creation of a sick man, usually when he was laying on the ground like this he was too beaten to see the sky, but here, it was all so clear, the sky was so blue, more blue than he had ever remembered it being. But maybe that was just the perception of his own reality. "There's nothing to miss." Bismuth didn't know why he was being so open, maybe it was just one of those days, but nothing mattered to him except the s
  20. The great search for a familiar had only just began for Bismuth, and it was going to take a long time for him to complete it. He had already been searching for his bird for a few hours, and he was beginning to grow weary, the walking was one thing, but the mental effort that it took to just watch his surroundings at all times was really taxing. That was enough for Bismuth for the day, there was only so much looking over ones shoulder that a man could do before he was mentally exhausted, and after the night that he had had, he was ready to spend the last few hours of the day relaxing at his cam
  21. "Ah, I'm alright, nothing important probably." Bismuth sighed as he stared up at the clear blue sky, the clouds moving lackadaisically through the sky like they were on a slow mission to get somewhere. It was truly beautiful in this world, was it an issue that he couldn't remember the last time he had felt this comfortable. This game may have been a death sentence for hundreds of people, but Bismuth had never been this free before, he couldn't even tell if he wanted to go back to his life before, where he was and never would be anything. Shaking his head Bismuth just stared at the sky pea
  22. Bismuth was about to give up when he finally saw it for a brief moment, an eagle, a brown and gold color, it's wingspan taller than he was, that was it, that was his familiar, and he would have it no other way. The eagle was majestic, and if he recalled correctly, it was a golden eagle, and they were storied to have been the messengers of the king of gods Zeus. It was considered a good omen to see one in flight over your crops, and it sure was a good sign for Bismuth too, With a renewed vigor he scurried down the tree with the same trained hand that he had when he had climbed up the tree. He h
  23. The trip, like Bismuth was hoping, had truly not been a long one, it had taken maybe forty minutes before Bismuth had made it to a watering hole that had a nice tree next to it that he could climb up in order to watch the water for any sign of wildlife. The chosen tree was a good thirty feet from the water that he was watching, and with a skilled hand he climbed up the tree in a matter of seconds, leaning his back against the it to just watch. Hopefully this method would prove to be enough, it wasn't a very active one, but it was the easiest way that Bismuth could think to do this, if he stood
  24. Bismuth let his food stew for thirty minutes before finally getting up to get himself some, he didn't have any great epiphanies about finding the Nemean Lion-Grass, and was thinking maybe he should change his tactics. Pouring himself a hearty helping of his stew into a wooden bowl Bismuth opened up his newest quest again to look it over, he was having no luck with finding the materials that he was here for, so maybe he could focus more on this quest, simply described as finding a familiar, super helpful. From what little he knew about finding a familiar, it had to be a non combat monster, the
  25. "You have to be picky, or else the food won't even taste like anything." Bismuth responded serious, he knew that Freyd was teasing him, but gathering was an important topic, and the blueberry pie he was about to make was the most important thing right now. "With an attitude like that I won't share my first pie with you." Bismuth joked lightly, nowhere near the eccentric sass that he was known for up to this point. Bismuth surveyed his sea of bushes for another glowing one that he could pick out of, but as of the moment there were none. Bismuth jumped at the uncharacteristic exclamation o
