  1. "-alright I'll be home for...oh, right..." Nari blinked as the whiteness of the transportation faded, leaving her standing on a teleporter pad surrounded by...well, no one. Instead, there was the open forestry that made up the city of Aruyt, and the areas beyond. She slowly stepped off the pad, realising that others may be intent on arriving, before blinking again. Just below her torso, to her right, was the indication of a waiting message. With a flick of her hand, she opened the waiting message and glanced over it, her surprise causing her eyebrows to rise. "Well, that's either extrem
  2. Nari's attention was torn between focusing on keeping the troll from moving, while listening to the commentary of Fae. She hadn't ignored the girl - not in reality - but she found herself lost in thought as she considered the loneliness. She didn't like how close to reality that comment had been, and found herself trying to continue her happy expression, even as the words stung at her. "Well, it may be a bit lonely, I guess. But no one could say that it's not worthwhile..." Her words were a bit soft, just barely audible enough for the other girl to hear. Giving a soft sigh, Nari launche
  3. They had travelled in silence for a while, Onora eventually taking the lead back. Nari settled in slightly behind the blonde, content to let the other lead them along the path. She'd already agreed to following Onora for the day, and she figured it would give the woman a bit more comfort to be in control once more. Besides, it's nice to follow someone else for a change. No need to always lead, sometimes it's good to just...be led. "I think we're almost there. This place looks rather familiar." The words surprised Nari from her thoughts, and she glanced around. As far as she could tell, th
  4. They'd come to a stop. Not at their destination, as Nari's quick observation had figured out, but at a crossroads. A place where the dirt path seemed to head off in two different directions, and Onora's head swivelled back and forth as if she were trying to figure out which direction to head in. Nari had waited patiently, quietly, for a few moments at the blonde's side in the hopes that the other would suddenly remember which way to go. "So...we're lost, right?" Nari cocked her head and shifted her position slightly. Her tone had held no judgement or negativity - in fact, she'd kept it as
  5. The two had wandered through the small village until they had hit the edges. Nari's first impression was simply that of subtly surprise and wonder. The jungle seemed to take over mere steps away from the village, with some areas entirely impassable. The collection of branches, foliage and assorted trunks simply blocking any chance and/or attempt to move through the area - no matter how determined an individual may be. A few minor paths seemed to lead to various areas, the dirt disappearing into the distance and leaving Nari with no inkling of where they may head. "If I remember right...th
  6. "This way...teleporter. Just...stick with me, and you'll be fine." Onora's words were distracted as she pulled Nari along beside her, the latter giving in and simply letting herself be led along. She was wholly unaware of their destination, and knew that resisting in any way would only hinder the actual path they were taking. I know her well enough to know that I can trust her...at least, with this. She took the time to glance around the main courtyard of the twenty-seventh floor's capital, seeing few familiar faces out and about in the early hours of the day. Ever present night, more like it.
  7. Nari opened her mouth to argue, her left hand raising halfway into the air before stopping, the fingers spread slightly as though she was reaching out to grasp something. Her face seemed to twitch, in response, as if she was resisting the urge to argue with the fact that her privileges were being revoked. A few seconds later, she simply shook her head, letting her hand fall back down and smiling slightly. "I'm hungry as well, we should probably start heading back. Especially if Koga is actually going to cook something up for us..." She pushed herself to her feet calmly, tasking a moment t
  8. Rather than responding, Onora simply dragged the redhead along behind her through the entryway of the small settlement and into the fields beyond. They followed the road as it wound out of the settlement and into the dark beyond - the soft glowing lights of the civilised area giving way to the starry night sky. For the time being, Nari was content to follow along, letting her eyes roam over the darker areas just off the road in search of any creatures making their way towards them - cautious, aware that they were out of a safe zone. She wasn't worried that they would run into any trouble - the
  9. Nari had been led by the hand out of the door, and down the dark lit streets of the Ylvon. Her mind had attempted to compute what she had heard, at first arguing that it wasn't possible for Onora to have said it, before realising that the blonde had, in fact, stated what Nari's ears had heard. Yeah, she definitely said it. I mean, I heard the words right from her mouth. But...maybe I heard it wrong? I mean, I'm sure I heard it right, but... "What are you so deep in thought about?" Onora's voice broke through Nari's confusion, the woman glancing over towards the redhead even as she continu
  10. Her dance around the troll had continued, with her scythe glancing off the harder portions of its skin - portions that she knew she couldn't penetrate with her weapon, but that were getting in the way of her regular strikes. "This one...does not...want to go down." Her voice was strained as she pushed her attack harder, speeding up her movements in an attempt to overwhelm the troll. She could see Fae stepping back slightly, giving her room to move for the moment, before Nari herself stepped back from the troll. Sighing, she brought her scythe up behind her, settling into a ready position
  11. "Well, are you coming?" Onora's voice called from the doorway of the kitchen area, startling Nari and causing her to leap slightly off the counter top. She pushed against the cabinet behind her with her back, twisting her feet ever so slightly and landing - crudely - on the ground upright. Onora seemed to smile at the small shriek that the redhead let out, turning slightly in the doorway to provide space for Nari to pass, and raising a hand to wave towards the front doorway in the distance. "Adventure...awaits! That kinda sounds corny, doesn't it?" Nari shook her head, still trying to cal
  12. Nari glanced at the now calm-looking-Sailor as it passed them and took its place at the helm, momentarily. She cocked her head, her eyes narrowing slightly, before she whispered her question. She wasn't sure if the others heard, in fact she hadn't meant to say it aloud at all. "Did we...just instil a new pirate captain...?" Knowing that she would likely never get the answer - seeing as Morningstar had managed to find them a ride home, which meant they wouldn't be given time to explore and ask questions - and yet, she somehow felt like she didn't care. The quest is done, and we can leave
  13. Nari grinned as the girl rose to the occasion once more, calling out a jest in return to the commentary that Nari had let slip from her tongue. She'd begun her assault against the troll in earnest - refraining from using any of her skills, as she didn't want to immediately overwhelm the thing - but she was putting it on the defensive as she whipped through a series of spins and strikes, never quite letting herself stop moving, even as she called out to Fae in return. "Yeah...maybe, but...I'm a reaper! My job is to end things, to bring them...to their final moments! And then to...guide th
  14. Nari's eyes had been straying, watching the red-cloaked fighters tangling with a woman who could, in the average terms, be considered attractive. Far from Nari's own tastes, but undeniably something that would likely attract the eyes - and in turn, the hearts - of some others, if they didn't realise who she was. Can't fault them for it, it's how the system was designed...and it works well, to an extent. Her thoughts were interrupted as the ping of an incoming message arrived, the corresponding alert appearing in the air before her. It hadn't taken long for the reply to come, and as Nari's
  15. Jomei had recovered from the attack against him, just long enough to rush forwards and lash out at Burlock once more, cutting the giant foe's health down to an almost empty amount. Nari, in contrast, had been staring down at the scythe in her hand and wondering if she could've simply tossed the bulky, uncomfortable and unnecessary piece into the waters beyond the edge of the boat itself. Her distraction thankfully hadn't cost anything serious, but it had left her confused and unaware when Jomei had called out to her - causing her to glance up and delay for a second or two before registering wh
  16. Fae had turned to Nari, just long enough to fire off a single quip. One which spoke to a reminder of someone long gone, and which brought a slight pull to the grin on her face, as if dampening the smile slightly. She was considering answering the jest in kind, continuing the good humour that had been developing between the two individuals. Her words were taken away, however, as the girl simply disappeared from the position she'd been standing in mere seconds ago. Nari stood still, mouth open and head cocked as she tried to register what had just occurred, her mind slow to process everything be
  17. Her feet swung underneath her as she waited, settled on the counter top and glancing back into the hallway every so often. She could hear the sounds of Onora in the room adjacent, going through a collection of pieces and likely trying to decide what would be worth taking, and what would be better left behind. This is what you get for last minute packing. She'd had to stifle a laugh, knowing that Onora had put a lot of effort into planning the trip - an amount of effort that Nari had questioned at first, before realising just how much this likely meant to the blonde. We don't get much tim
  18. Nari gave a small cheer as the girl landed a hit, the strike taking another small portion of the troll's health points away. Although it was small, it was already a good chunk from where the creature had been mere moments ago - something that Nari was happy to see. Progress, that's all that matters...even if we're here for a few days...well, it won't last that long, but still. She felt herself smiling, simply happy to see the improvement in the other player. "Nice hit, Fae! Just keep it up and the thing will be down in no time, right?" She grinned widely at the other player as they cont
  19. Jomei had leapt into action, not giving the other two a chance to prepare themselves fully before he moved to engage the larger entity on his own. Nari gave a half sigh, before leaping after the ginger duelist, determined not to leave the man alone for longer than necessary. "You know...next time...warning..." She huffed as she swung the odd scythe around her, trying to catch the Quartermaster with even just the tip of the blade. She had to admit, she had already come to hate the weapon - far less refined and more unwieldy than her typical scythe, but she assumed that it had a purpose in
  20. She'd received the notification early in the morning, that the piece had been completed. Not wanting to appear desperate, however, Nari had taken her time - enjoying her morning, chatting with Onora, before heading out to the tenth floor in search of the small tailor shop that she had been in not to long ago. She'd strolled into the shop a little past the lunch hour, if such a thing existed, calling out as she entered. "Just here to pick up my piece, heard that it was ready to go." Her eyes caught sight of the tailor at work in the corner, a hand lifting to point at a wrapped package on t
  21. The others had fallen into an almost relaxed conversation, and Nari had found herself leaning against the wall while nibbling at a small collection of the various snacks - her eyes passing between Jomei and Hirru as they conversed. She remembered the event from Koga's place - a small blush coming to her cheeks as the scene replayed in her mind at the mention - and she had to say, she would not have called it something so...tame. Lively, definitely...but that's refusing to call it what it really was. Chaos. Absolute...chaos. She shook her head, trying to force the old images out of her mind and
