  1. The third gladiator came from the right gate this time. Wulfrin was feeling the crowd and pumping them up the whole time as the gladiator, great sword in hand charged at Wulfrin. Wulfrin skillfully dodged the swipe by turning his body ninety degrees allowing the lade to move past him with no issue. In the same motion, he jabbed forward with his own blade dealing a sizable chunk of damage to the gladiator's dominant side. A layer of ice formed on its body rendering it immobile as Wulfrin continued to parade around the arena. These battles were becoming less about honing his skills and more abou
  2. The gladiator picked themselves up from the sandy ground, crimson fractals of data dripping from its wounds like blood. It picked up its spear and began to rush Wulfrin again. For Wulfrin it was an easy attack to counter, as the gladiator was staggering and on the verge of falling. Wulfrin's strike was targeted at the arm carrying the spear. The spear splintered with the blow and was sent flying across the arena. The gladiator, knowing it was defeated, both by its HP being at just above 0 and being rendered completely useless, fell to its knees with its hands raised to the sky in surrender. Wu
  3. Wulfrin recovered from the blow as he put some distance between himself and his gladiatorial combatant. The crowd was roaring. The fact that he had gone the entirety of the first round without so much as a scratch was playing into his favor a bit. The crowd was excited to see a hit finally make contact with Wulfrin's form. He began to work the crowd once again, bringing the attention back to him. The crowd began to roar louder as the gladiator charged Wulfrin once again. This time Wulfrin predicted the attack. With a skillful dodge, the gladiator missed their strike and landed face first into
  4. The gladiator and Wulfrin clashed once more. This fighter was far more skilled than the previous one. Wulfrin's blade met shield and spear before Wulfrin managed to create an opening enough to land a blow. The mob's HP dropped. It was low, but without any of the DoT activations that usually accompany Wulfrin's strikes, it would take another strike to put the mob down. Wulfrin had miscalculated a bit on his strike however. He felt the pins and needles feeling of his brain signaling a wound. The HP bar in his vision dropped slightly as he gripped the shaft of the spear lodged in his left leg.
  5. Wulfrin returned to the center of the arena, as the crowd cheered and applauded. The first gladiator picked themself up and slowly made their way out of the arena the same way they had entered. Wulfrin paced the arena pumping up the crowd as best he could. The middle gate opened as another Gladiator rushed in, this time with a spear and shield. Wulfrin was content to let this battle play out a bit. The first was a warm up, but it was far too short for his liking. "Watch your left," Wulfrin's shadow warned. Wulfrin instinctually side stepped a jab from the Gladiator's spear and retali
  6. "Oh trust me," Wulfrin smirked as the gates began to open. "I'm fully aware I wont be getting anywhere near Abdullah himself. I'm like ninety percent sure Cardinal wont let me get there. I do however hope to maybe deal a blow to his network, hopefully a big enough one to get him off my back." Wulfrin gave a thumbs up in regards to Freyd's gameplan as he moved towards the gate. A quest panel appeared before him. Without hesitation, Wulfrin tapped the accept icon and stepped into the sand filled arena. Once both of the fighters were in the arena, the portcullis gate fell back into place beh

  8. The crowd was not very excited to see such a one sided fight. Ultimately, Wulfrin knew the point of the quest was to put on a show, so why not lean into it. He smirked and took a less defensive stance leaving himself completely open. Icingdeath's blade was plunged into the dirt, Wulfrin choosing to fight with nothing but his fists. For a moment he felt like Freyd, facing down the strongest of foes with nothing more than his fists. Granted that had all changed recently with Freyd's shift to a more heavy armor and katana. The Gladiator charged Wulfrin, attempting to make blade meet flesh. W
  9. Wulfrin maneuvered around his incoming foe with precision and speed. In one fluid motion, he deflected the Gladiator's blade and raked Icingdeath across the totality of the Gladiator's back. Wulfrin watched as his foe's HP dropped to a mere sliver as all of his stacked affects took hold. Now all that was left was to either strike first or allow the lingering effects to deal the final blows. The Gladiator stood as a frozen statue once more before returning to its animated state and preparing to rush Wulfrin, its movements sluggish and wild. It was desperate to stay in the running. Wulfrin was a
  10. Wulfrin stood in the center of the arena awaiting his first challenger. The gate to his left opened and out rushed a gladiator, clad in minimal armor and frantically swinging a roman gladius. Wonderful. Grecian combat style versus a Roman one. How poetic. Wulfrin moved to meet the gladiator's blade with his own, but Wulfrin was much faster. Before the gladiator had even readied its blade, Wulfrin's had already landed a heavy blow across its midsection. Icingdeath froze Wulfrin's target in place allowing Wulfrin a moment to reclaim some distance. "Nice work," His shadow commented in his mi

  13. The script was incredibly unfamiliar to Wulfrin. The way Freyd was talking, he was likely acting off of knowledge from a quest Wulfrin had yet to undertake. Wulfrin did know one thing, a witch possibly skewing an ongoing conflict to one side or the other was not likely to be a good thing. Not to mention that it was likely the side of the less than reputable people. This was not an outcome Wulfrin was wanting to see come to fruition. "Sorry but you're losing me on that one," Wulfrin shrugged as he looked over the portal frame. "I'll just have to add that of my list of potential quests to
  14. Thread takes place following the events of Echoes of the Void "Look's like the plan worked," Wulfrin said as his gladiatorial disguise faded. "What do you think Abdullah will think about us crashing his party?" Wulfrin had caught wind that Abdullah, a recurring thorn in his side, was hosting some sort of a gladiatorial tournament. Something about some prized alligator dude that the denizens of Fortaleza were naming The Butcher in The Sands. As it so happened, Wulfrin was looking for a way to ease himself back into action after his recent run in with his Gemini. Freyd had helped him o

  16. "Pardon me," A voice echoed from another player as they passed by. Their gear suggested a frontliner, battle hardened by countless battles. They wore a cowl obscuring most of their features. Most would simply mistake them as the rumored Gemini from Floor 6. "I noticed you seem to be on a first outing of sorts. From the looks of it you're either starting a profession or gathering materials for First Lessons. Either way their collection requirements can be grueling." A small gift box appeared in the player's hand. They simply handed it over before stuffing their hands back into their deep pocket
  17. "Stay right here," Wulfrin carefully set Koko down on the ground and got down to eye level with her. With a smile he stood up and drew his blade. "I'm going to go help out my friends and I'll be back okay?" Koko simply nodded sheepishly as Wulfrin turned to the giant bat. Calm and collected as ever, he walked up until he was face to face with the bat, their last obstacle in the quest. Wulfrin glanced at the mob's HP gauge. Based off how quickly it disappeared when he struck the last one and the fact this one was basically only hanging on by a hair, he made the decision to not put forth an
  18. "Hey Nym," Wulfrin said as he made his way into the humble shop. "Nice place you got here. If it's alright, I'd like to purchase a small trinket off you. Just one that helps boost my searching capabilities." After a brief exchange, Wulfrin handed over the necessary payment of materials and turned to make his way out. "See you around!" Wulfrin smiled. "Let me know if you need help on a quest!" Wulfrin's offer was a sincere one. He was always looking for an opportunity to quest more. He hated going out on solo runs, they always turned out to be rather boring when alone. * * *

  20. Wulfrin quickly swapped from rod to sword, the icy mist of Icingdeath began to slowly pool around his feet as he charged forward, his Florenthian Howl sword art causing a vibrant emerald light to envelope his blade as he closed the distance from the dock to King of Lakes in a fraction of a second. The impact caused the giant walking catfish to stagger a bit as its natural armor became practically non existent. "Alright," Wulfrin said to his little adventuring party. "Freyd. Ciela. Y'all are up. Honey you may want to swing first or Freyd is likely to wipe the beast before you even get a ch
  21. “Feels like Barovia all over again,” Wulfrin shrugged as Morningstar went over the plan. “Let’s just hope Daybreaker can carry us to the end.” Wulfrin watched the brief exchange between Morningstar and Pinball regarding their current situation. As Pin replied and basically disappeared in a puff of smoke, Wulfrin couldn’t help but let off a chuckle. For an orange player, Pin seemed very nonchalant about it. Wulfrin and Morningstar marched side by side up to the tail end of some ongoing conflict. Wulfrin would merely observe as Morningstar took the lead in the conversation. The mention of t
  22. Wulfrin rushed the dragon once more. He kept low to the ground and as under the beast as he could. Less likely to get munched on that way. It was however, a good way to get stomped into the ground. Luckily it seemed that his companions were taking massive chunks out of the dragon's health bar. The massive amount of DoT that were stacked on it were definitely helping too. Wulfrin slid under the dragon's belly, dragging Icingdeath deep into the dragon. Wulfrin must have hit something vital again, as ice began to creep out of the wound and the boss's dwindling hp bar dropped by another significa
  23. "Indeed it is," Wulfrin agreed with Jomei's sentiment. "She was a near impenetrable wall. When we fought Kumatetsu, I was pretty much just watching as the bear killed itself against her armor and shield. I'm kind of excited in that sense. I get the chance to smack the bear on a more equal ground." He left out the fact that the bear fell quick and the two decided to walk into a dungeon. The dungeon was a Cave of Wonders and it was scaled off of Nari's level, meaning that Wulfrin was a meager tier two player in a dungeon far beyond his paygrade. He hoped to avoid a similar situation this ti
  24. Wulfrin retrieved his line, his fishing trip a less than stellar success. He dismissed the fishing rod to his inventory with the flick of a wrist as he stood and dusted himself off. All things considered, he had brought in a nice collection of items and materials. At the very least they would make some appraiser very happy. Possibly even himself if there was a unique sitting among them. "Glad to hear you're all finished," Wulfrin said with a smile. "Do you remember the way back or should I lead us?" He was more than willing to take a back seat at this point as the quest's completion
