  1. “You know,” Wulfrin said with a sigh. “It feels weird to hear you coming.” Shifting his position from the stone, Wulfrin sat akimbo across from Freyd at the small tea table before him, setting his blade to the side for comfort. His eyes were nearly lifeless, only briefly revealing the usual glint of excitement as he eyed the new armor of his mentor. He had heard rumors but expected them to be nothing more than that, his home being in the same vicinity of Firm Anima’s guild hall had some perks in that regard. Wulfrin picked up a porcelain cup and sipped on the coffee presented to him.
  2. It had been a few days since Wulfrin's last dance with his Gemini. The experience had left him shaken to the core. Wulfrin's intention that day was to be a constructive one, yet he had ended up doing more harm to his psyche than good. Every night since he had driven Icingdeath into his own heart. It was almost routine to stare at his cursor as if waiting for it to suddenly shift, after all he had basically committed murder. In his defense the mob was meant to die or be spared so realistically he had no reason to worry. Regardless of circumstances the echoes of voices around him screamed. Monst
  3. Everything was over as fast as it had started. Wulfrin pulled himself to his feet, doing his best to shake off the trauma he'd just endured. The quest panel still hovered in his view, another badge reminding him of what he had done. He put his blade back into its scabbard. It felt heavy and seemed to be lacking it's frosty mist. Wiping away the last of his tears and sorrow, Wulfrin pulled the cowl up over his head and began his solemn walk back to the teleport gate. Solaris must have sensed its master's feelings as he perched on Wulfrin's shoulder as opposed to his usual plan of flying around
  4. "You are wrong about one thing," Wulfrin sighed with remorse. "You do have names on that monument. You said it yourself. You are me. Having seen how you carry yourself, I can confidently say there is likely one of you for every player in Aincrad. Each of you a part of a dyad so unbreakable it transcends the very code that makes up your being. Know this my friend. I do not take your life today with joy. I take it knowing full well the weight that will be put on my shoulders. I take your life so I may help others in the future. Allow me one last vow to you. Our name shall not appear on that monu
  5. Wulfrin silently listened to the, rather vague in his opinion, plan for this quest of theirs. It wasn't long before the group had set foot into the maze before them. Wulfrin pulled out a piece of chalk that he had picked up coming in, having figured they would be entering, and began to mark symbols on the wall that would help lead them out once they were done. Solaris was keeping just below the top of the walls, their normal trick of tag teaming situations like this proving to be unusable. Wulfrin pushed to the front of the group as the last undead fell. Maybe the orange player wont be so bad.
  6. The Gemini's words stun more and more each time. Wulfrin could feel every strike form both blades as if the two were linked. His HP gauge only dropped when actually struck by the Gemini, but every strike from either blade. Wulfrin stared into the eyes of his Gemini. His own mortality finally coming into perspective. "I've been told enough," Wulfrin said in a solemn tone. "My faith is grounded by those I trust with my life. Most notably Freyd, the one who showed me how to get started in this world, Morningstar, a close friend and mentor who taught me to slow down and make the most of my si
  7. The wedding festivities coming to a close, Wulfrin swapped from the uptight garb of tux to a more relaxed floral shirt and khaki shorts. seemingly exhausted from the day, Wulfrin made his way to where Freyd and Morningstar had started to congregate. "Looks like things are starting to wind down form the first festivity of the day," Wulfrin said with an exasperated sigh. "What's the plan for part dos of our day of multi tasking?" He started putting together a small plate of goodies as he nodded a thanks to Questor, a player he hadn't met before, at least not that he could recall. That
  8. "You..." Wulfrin said, the beginnings of virtual tears starting to streak down his face. "You're trying to throw me off my game. Trying to bait me into losing here." Wulfrin's grip tightened around Icingdeath. His emotions becoming unable to be controlled thanks to the Nerve-Gear having a direct line to his brain. The icy mist pouring from Icingdeath suddenly stopped, solidifying onto his frame like a second set of armor. With <<Frozen Hide>> active, Wulfrin turned his blade once more on his imposter, his swing trailed by the emerald light of a sword art, a trick he learned wh
  9. "I'm not opposed," Wulfrin said as he put his blade away. "If we have a long list of hunts, it's best to not stretch ourselves too thin." Solaris soared through the air overhead. At least his familiar wasn't terribly opposed to them farming its kin. Too be fair Wulfrin had found Solaris on floor 5 at a fresh water well. Wulfrin never thought much about where his familiar had truly originated. Perhaps this was Solaris's true home. Looking around the current arena as he followed Solaris's flight path, Wulfrin began to start thinking up a crazy idea. On this floor they were basically walking
  10. "More for us I guess," Wulfrin shrugged as he drew Icingdeath. The frozen mist began to roll off the blade more violently, it was as ready to slice as Wulfrin was. Wulfrin was in no particular rush to smite the bandits. This was mainly due to his overly confident nature. With his cowl pulled over his head he simply strolled through town until he caught the eye of a group of four bandits. They charge Wulfrin who effortlessly dodged their sweeping sword strikes. They were reckless. They were unrefined. They were hardly worth the time. An azure aura swept over the battlefield, Icingdeath's b
  11. "Oh...kay..." Wulfrin said as one of his friends presented him with an out of the blue request. "I mean. I've done more with less I guess. Give me like 10 minutes." Wulfrin set to work at his crafting bench. Fusions didn't require much in the way of raw materials, so it just felt appropriate. The real question was, Why the stick? Then Wulfrin read the intended result. Finally it made sense. Luckily Wulfrin also had some back ground in music. Had he put together a violin? No. He was always more of a percussion guy. The system picked up the slack. After a few minutes of light cursing follow

  15. "You know what you like," Wulfrin said as he examined the order produced. The patron's appearance screamed new player, but the way they carried themselves and meticulously prepared the order screamed veteran. The reason wasn't Wulfrin's place to ask. "I'll get right to work shouldn't be too terribly long." Wulfrin turned to his forge and set to work. The axe and shield were easy enough, fairly run of the mill. The Armor though was a bit of a complicated mess. Typically the style of armor he was being asked to craft would have been classified as light, so finding ways to incorporate enough

  17. "Lies are nothing new to me," Wulfrin said with a solemn voice as he wiped away the fractals like blood. "I've spent most of my life chasing lies only to feel like I was making a difference in my life." Wulfrin retaliated with a sword art, the crimson red light arcing behind his blade as it cut through the air. The blow caused the Gemini to stagger backward a bit, their would much deeper than Wulfrin's. There was a distinctly different intent behind this strike. There was no play or enjoyment, there was only a look of sorrow as old memories began to surface, memories not thought of for tw
  18. "I've grown in more than just skill since leaving the Town of Beginnings not to terribly long ago," Wulfrin sighed. He gave a subtle nod to Solaris, who began to circle the arena from above. "I've learned to wield my blade with conviction and resolve. I do not falter, even when faced with certain death. I've found allies to rely on and found a confidence I never would have gained without having come to this world." The air around Wulfrin began to crystalize, Icingdeath seeming to react to the murderous intent beginning to permeate the air. He had become well seasoned in SAO. He had faced
