  1. "Good for the moment," Wulfrin replied to Raidou's check in. A burst of energy surged though his virtual form once again, except this time it wasn't just his sword that shined with light. His energy was creeping down to the halfway mark before surging back with new life. "I think I can hold out, but I'm working with a smaller reserve compared to the rest of the group. I'll definitely need a recharge when we're done, but for now I think I can manage." Freyd and Morningstar both charged forward, pressing the parties already strong advantage over the enemy forces. Freyd left comical holes in
  2. Wulfrin gave up trying to enter combat when Freyd stepped up to face the humanoid angler. The Fossil Fish's fate was sealed as Freyd simply bopped the monster on the head. Wulfrin shrugged and cast his line back into the lake. He watched intently for any movement in the bobber, which considering the monsters lurking in its depths, was rather calm. The bobber sank beneath the surface a handful of moments later, a tremendous force pulling it down. Wulfrin once again was doing his own miniature combat with his catch, attempting to tire it out enough to bring ashore. With another heave he managed
  3. A perfect opening was created for Wulfrin to charge in. With a sweeping upwards slash Wulfrin cleaved through the remaining slime causing it to scatter against the ceiling. Dying Sun clattered against the ceiling following the monster's deconstruction. With precision Wulfrin caught the blade on its decent with his open hand. For a brief moment he stood holding both blades before flicking Dying Sun clean of ooze and tossing Morningstar back his blade. Both blades would need a nice polish after they were done, but there should be no lasting damage by Wulfrin's best guesstimate. "Obi wan wou
  4. "They are indeed," Wulfrin said as he mirrored the bow in respect. "I've been on the Monkey quest. If you want the Shatter Sword Art, you'll want to keep the ape from killing the NPC accompanying you. As for the equipment, I'm sure Freyd can hook you up and will get you top of the line stuff. However if you ever need something extra don't be afraid to darken my door on Floor 22. I'm a blacksmith in my free time." With a firm handshake the two broke off going their separate ways. Wulfrin realized he had left town with another player. For some reason they never made it up the mountain with
  5. "Alright," Wulfrin said as he and Ciela stepped off the teleport gate on Floor 3. "Here we are. We're doing a bit of grind work today. The quest should be easy enough for us to clear. Afterwards I wanna go duel an Elf. I heard he drops an item that works as a substitute for the Fighting Spirit skill. It would help me draw hate on adventures with low level players. It could help you generate hate as well. Lastly, my reveres are running a bit low. I need to grind up some monsters for Col and crafting materials. But first..." Wulfrin swiped through his menus until he found the adjustment sli
  6. "Very well then," Wulfrin nodded as he stepped up to the boulder. "One more strike should do it. Though I do feel a bit bad taking the honor away from you." Wulfrin pulled his hand back and smashed it into the boulder. A resounding Twack echoed throughout the training grounds followed by a long silence. For a moment it was questionable if the strike had done any damage, but eventually the HP gauge fell to zero and faded away. The boulder followed suit shortly after crumbling into a fine powder as the cracks in its surface spiderwebbed fully around it. The task was completed all that was l
  7. "if there's one thing I've learned in this place," Wulfrin said as he made his way to the boulder. "The movements here don't rely on muscle memory." Wulfrin took the offensive stance and slammed his bladed hand into the boulder's surface. It's HP dropped closer and closer to zero, but refused to go the full distance. "We don't have any muscles in here," Wulfrin continued, gesturing politely to continue the rotation. "The skills that have lay dormant that we are using were more ingrained into our base instincts. We know how to make the moves like it's something we've done our whole li
  8. "Glad I packed up for a fishing trip!" Wulfrin said eagerly to the fisherman. "Lead us to the location." It took a bit to get to the large open lake, but they did eventually get there. Renault set up his own fishing gear near a broken down pier and cast a line into the murky waters. Wulfrin followed suit, setting up a bit further down the bank to avoid tangling the lines. His bobber drifted up and down with the waves. There was definitely something churning down in the depths. After a few moments of watching, Wulfrin's bobber was pulled beneath the surface. Wulfrin pulled with all his mig
  9. "You bet," Wulfrin smiled to his gentleman of a companion. "Also you can drop the Master part. I assure you I am no where near qualified to hold a title like that." Wulfrin stepped up to the boulder as Solaris finished it's attack pattern and fell back to recharge. With another firm strike from Wulfrin, the boulder's cracks grew larger. It was only a few hits from crumbling entirely. Had he remembered the weapon he had built specifically for this scenario, the boulder would have had even less of a chance of staying around for too long. Solaris was a fantastic addition, almost like a Pokém
  10. "An urgent message from Morningstar huh?" Wulfrin said as he finished up his work at his forge. He looked over the message curiously. Outside of some basic coordinates, there wasn't much to go off. "Dragon hunting. Sounds fun and a good chance to practice for the upcoming raid boss." Wulfrin packed up his gear and set out towards Floor 25. When he arrived he was shocked to see an orange player chatting with Morningstar and Freyd. From what he knew about the cursors, orange meant that player had done some sort of crime against another player or important NPC. I suppose if Freyd and Morning
  11. The angry cat was on its last legs. After it had pounced on Freyd and subsequently Freyd got his HP healed completely by Hirru, the beast's end was almost inevitable. The only thing that stood between the Nemean Lion's defeat was Wulfrin's ability to hit the beast. He charged forward with his blade alight with a sword art. If for some freak reason the art didn't finish the job, Wulfrin would leave the angry kitty with a debuff making it harder for it to land an attack. Wulfrin's blade carved into the beast's hide and dropped its HP to zero leaving behind an info screen containing its dropped i
  12. After getting the side eye from the master of the temple, Wulfrin welcomed the protection provided by Foyle. The master stepped aside revealing the only test that mattered, The Boulder. Foyle stepped up first and landed a fairly solid blow to their inanimate enemy. Wulfrin was impressed by the gentleman's combat prowess. At least he's having some decent luck today. "Thanks for backing me up," Wulfrin said as he stepped up to take his turn at the boulder. "The random chance of Cardinal is going to be the death of me one day at this rate. At least this task is way more up my alley. His too.
  13. "Trust me," Wulfrin said as he cast his line again. "The fish haven't been biting much today." Wulfrin leaned back on the bank and looked up to the floor above. Adelyte's follow up question was one he had an answer to. The question is which one of his foes was the craziest. He couldn't settle on just one, but a combination of two enemies that he faced almost back to back. "I've faced my fair share of monsters," Wulfrin said with a sigh as he looked up at the floor above. "The craziest was actually an unfortunate mixture that required me getting saved by a couple of frontliners. I was
  14. Wulfrin arrived to the location stated in the message. He had his fishing gear with him, but being uncharted territory for him he was also fully kitted for a fight. His attire consisted of his new armor, a set of tight fitting charcoal traveling leathers that seems to flit away at the edge of sight. He had the hood pulled up, but pulled it back as he approached the group. He hadn't realized how much the new armor made him look like Freyd, but that was to be suspected as this was supposedly one of his old armors. His sword Icingdeath hung from his hip with the subtle mist generated from its ice
  15. Wulfrin made his way to Angel’s Point with haste. He hadn’t been to Freyd’s shop in a hot minute, but Wulfrin knew if Freyd was reaching out directly the gift was likely to help him through the raid. He had been scrambling up and down the floating castle looking for any additional boosts he could find. He was still bellow the level cap, so that meant every little point mattered. “I’m here to pick up something left for me by Freyd,” Wulfrin said as he flagged down the first person he saw. Turns out his luck was turning a bit. In just a few short minutes Dingo presented the parcel to Wulfrin.
  16. The Next task before them was the waterfall. Quite frankly this was always the task Wulfrin failed at the most. The waterfall was designed to test one's own willpower as that was all that would keep you from plummeting to the bottom of the chasm bellow the temple. As with his previous attempts, Wulfrin was not faring well. One would think that going through these trials over and over again would leave you with at least some growth, but for Wulfrin that did not seem to be the case. He strained to keep himself on the edge of the cliff. His hands were aching more so than the rest of his body as h
  17. It had been a while since he had paid Ren a visit. The blacksmith on Floor 21 had succeeded in making a name for himself by helping out the newer players with free gear. Wulfrin had even gotten his first few pieces here. They had served him well, but once he had finished setting up his own forge, Wulfrin tended to construct his own gear. The problem Wulfrin had run into as of late was the need to have a bit more umph put into his gear than he could currently provide. Without a reliable way to retrieve demonic shards for himself, Wulfrin simply worked off of a hunch that maybe the smith could h
  18. The sewers were much worse than Wulfrin had expected. The walls were caked with green slime. It reminded him of Ghostbusters with how much the walls seemed to ooze with the stuff. Then the slime began to animate. Wulfrin drew his blade in preparation as the sound of a crystal shattering echoed throughout the cave. Adrenaline filled his veins as his blade began to glow with the light of a sword art, but he was certain he hadn't activated one. Freyd and Morningstar charged forward and punched a sizable hole in the slime army's ranks. Wulfrin followed closely behind. His decision to focus mo
  19. Wulfrin had yet another stop to make, this time an alchemist. Once again his usual stopping point wasn't going to meet the demands he was needing, as he needed the items rather swiftly and had little time to wait for crafts to finish. Eventually he found his way to floor 1 on a recommendation from Mina in a round about way. He had to wind through the familiar streets to find the place, but was pleasantly surprised to find everything he needed in one place. After a short conversation with the owner, Wulfrin left with a small sack containing his purchased items. He was well on his way to being p
  20. It took a while to track down the traveling cook, but Wulfrin finally managed to figure out the best place to intercept him. In his frantic preparations he was making for the raid, Wulfrin had compiled quite the shopping list. Pretty much every item on the list was selected specifically to help him in grinding to get up to the frontlines faster and hopefully gather up some shiny new gear. He was planning to go out farming soon, so he needed every edge he could get. Normally he'd go to Ciela, but she was preoccupied with her own leveling to get to his backlog order, so someone well stocked was
  21. Wulfrin watched the conversation unfold before him when they entered Zachariah's establishment. He was thoroughly surprised that they weren't being required to craft up a potion like he did, likely part of the odd quest update that happened midway through. The conversation was a pleasant, yet familiar one. As Wulfrin had witnessed before, Zach was in fact not the borrower and suggested the group check out Lyle. He wasn't thrilled to be going back to the grouchy blacksmith, but the quest required them to do so. The trip there Wulfrin found himself lost in thought. This day just keep s gett

  23. “I mean if we are just in it for a grind,” Wulfrin spoke up in response to Star’s lingering question. “I’ve heard rumors of a bad slime infestation in a dungeon on floor 26. I could use the exp boost and with a crew this large and in sync, I think we have a good chance of clearing the place out, even with me not being quite at the same level of strength yet.” Wulfrin returned his blade to its scabbard be for taking a quick seat on some of the left over debris. He wasn’t completely drained, but the adrenaline was definitely starting to fade as the passive regen began to work its magic.
  24. Wulfrin was far less versed in the martial arts than pretty much al of the students even the beginners. Try as he might, he couldn't even get the basics down. How he had managed to pass these classes already baffled him every time. The fact he even completed the quest must have been up to dumb luck. The only thing keeping Wulfrin motivated to try was how well Foyle was doing. The best part about this quest was the only part that mattered was the boulder at the end. Pretty much all of the tasks we set up solely to boost the damage you deal to the boulder. Shame he left his knuckle dusters at ho
  25. "Yeah I took a big hit to my mitigation," Wulfrin said in between bites and gulps of his given consumables. "I had a set of Light Armor chilling in my inventory from forever ago that had Fireproof on it. Unfortunately it was only tier one so I opted to make it a tier less item that I can swap out in the event of superheated bosses or floors. It boosts my evasion so I hope that's enough to keep me alive. I mainly have to worry about AoEs, but I do have a more durable armor set to wear for raids. Still a mitigation drop but not near as bad." Wulfrin overlooked the sprawling Dark Elven city
