  1. "Sweet you found one!" Wulfrin exclaimed as Ciela placed the chest before him exhausted. "Lemme get this open and we can go." Wulfrin set to work getting the chest open. There wasn't much in it, but it was much better than nothing at all. Both of them were going to need all the items, col and materials they could get their hands on, since the raid of floor 28 was creeping closer and closer by the day. Wulfrin carefully distributed the rewards as best he could, separating the col and materials into even piles for him and Ciela. She had found the chest after all; it would be bad sportsmansh
  2. Wulfrin wasted no time returning to action. He was ready to get these bandits off his trail and this one in particular had dodged every strike he sent its way. Wulfrin dashed forward in the same stance he had done on every other attack, but notably his blade did not glow with the light of a Sword Art. Instead as the bandit moved to dodge the strike again, Wulfrin quickly pivoted the oposite direction, his blade's pommel glowing with the golden light of a sword art meant to stun and incapacitate. The blow landed square in the bandits back, sending them reeling down to the ground as their HP dro
  3. If only I had more arts to coordinate with. Wulfrin shook his head to clear the negative thoughts that would impede his battle focus. It was a neat little trick he had picked up fighting The Gemini. Wulfrin wasn't necessarily using the skill he had acquired, but the encounter had taught him to keep his head in the game. As The Phoenix burst back to life from it's ashes, Wulfrin noticed its debuffs remained. As if by happen stance, he had also set himself up for a massive blow using Nova Ascension. He charged forward, his blade shining a brilliant crimson as he raked it across the boss's b
  4. Following on the coat tails of Ciela's attacks and subsequent tanking of the incoming attack, Wulfrin pressed their advantage with another Horizontal Square. He danced around the weakened bandits with force and agility. His skills had been improving drastically. His time being spent with Freyd and other DPS users on the frontlines had been fruitful. The bosses he had been facing off with were much faster and hit way harder than these bandits ever could. The cerulean square erupted from two of the remaining bandits, it seems the fourth is a bit more agile than the others. The two that had been
  5. Wulfrin recieved the notification that his order was ready just as he returned from his outing to Floor 3. On his way home he made sure to stop by his fiancé's little bakery to pick up another set of items. "Glad to see you're making progress," Wulfrin complimented. "I hate to do this, but I'm going to need to place a much larger order this time. I've been getting pulled away more and more to help prepare for the raid and I think I might even be enlisted to fight, so I'm going to need every edge I can get. I don't have all the mats to cover it, but I hope col can help cover it. I'm even t
  6. "That's too creepy," Wulfrin said as the two looked back to where Zamek had once been standing. "I hate how NPCs just disappear like dust in the wind." Wulfrin carefully explored their hiding spot, but Zamek had seemingly abandoned them. On the plus side though, the sand storm had stopped. That was a good thing he supposed, but they still had to trek back. Wulfrin scanned the open desert before him, now armed with clear visibility. HE couldn't see anything on the horizon. It was nothing but a barren land of sand and rocks. "Alright you shmuck," Wulfrin's attention was immediately pul
  7. Training is training I suppose. Hell, Hercules did it. What's to say I cant? Wulfrin followed the party towards the ancient Greek ruins. His studies of mythologies were often surface level, mainly only what he had managed to retain in his mythology class during college. It was the only history class he could really get behind, but this wasn't the time to reminisce. Instead he tried to bring up anything at all on the beast. Other than being slain by Hercules as one of his twelve labors, Wulfrin couldn't recall much. Looking over the beast as it entered its arena provided much more detail.
  8. "I'm never reckless Star," Wulfrin smirked as he charged into battle on The Lightbringer's heels. Like a well trained duo, Wulfrin and his familiar danced around the larger phoenix. Both of them had something to prove. Wulfrin was proving not just to the other players present, but to himself as well that he could play in the big leagues. Solaris wanted to prove they were the superior flaming mythological bird. In tandem the two struck towards the bird's head, Wulfrin throwing off the stunned beast's aim and Solaris putting on the damage over time with his rend. Wulfrin's delaying strike l
  9. Wulfrin laughed at Nym's very understandable confusion at the name of RNCheeseus. Wulfrin had suspected that they hadn't had much gaming experience before SAO, but this pretty much confirmed his suspicions. The slang terms were hard to get a grasp on, but once you got a chunk of them down, they would often lead to fantastic conversations not unlike this one. "R-N- Cheesus is slang Nym," Wulfrin chuckled happily as he cast his line back into the river. "They're basically praying they get some decent rolls in the random number generator. In other words Adelyte just wants good luck, somethin

  11. Wulfrin had an idea brewing, but he wasn't able to accomplish it himself. Instead he set out to find a tailor that may have what he was looking for in stock. The Crusty Barnacle's owner Bahr had built Wulfrin's tier 4 armor, so that was the first place he checked. As he perused the miscellaneous armor available for purchase, he spotted exactly what he was looking for. His idea involved an item sitting in his storage for a while and turning it into an armor for going into the hottest environments. "Hey Bahr," Wulfrin said looking over the price tag of his chosen item. "I'll be taking this
  12. Wulfrin finally set down his current project for a break. As he went to leave his forge, he noticed a neatly written note with a custom order on it. He hadn't seen the player enter or leave. Must have come in while I was working. Why didn't they say anything? Wulfrin looked over the order. They must be fairly new requesting his starter kit built for tanking. Wulfrin looked back to his workstation with a sigh. He only had a few pieces ready to go, so that meant he had just gotten his ToDo list extended by a few hours. As he put the finishing touches on the items, he pulled up his menus and
  13. Wulfrin made his way down to floor 17 at the behest of Mina. He had only traveled with her once before, and Wulfrin was curious as to why he was being called to the floor of Olympus. The summons was even more cryptic, an abundance of cat emojis. Wulfrin arrived at the floor to see someone more familiar to him, Freyd. The whisper stood in broad daylight sipping on a coffee of some kind. He was also standing roughly in the same area that Mina had requested everyone to meet. "Yo Freyd!" Wulfrin spoke trying to get his mentor's attention. "You here to help Mina or something else bring you dow

  16. The three amigos pressed deeper into the sandstorm. A shape began to form in the distance, only barely within visual range with the howling sands. Wulfrin still bundled up, was starting to wish he hadn't taken this quest. "I believe that's it!" Zamek exclaimed between coughs and wheezes. He pointed at the odd shape in the distance. "That should be where my things are buried! It should also serve as a hiding spot from the storm! We just have to get there!" Wulfrin pressed farther ahead. This time his pace was quickened. They had a goal and now it was in sight, and with any luck, they
  17. More unfamiliar faces from the frontlines. Wulfrin scanned the group that had gathered. He was prepared for a simple outing, but as he watched the other players pass around items he was suddenly wondering what he had stepped into. “Wulfrin,” he saluted nervously to the questioning of the final individual that handed him a small meal of his own. The stats of the group climbed and climbed before Freyd stepped up and did what he did best to the massive troll that seemed to be paying the group no mind. As Feryd’s energy began to recover from his large opening hit, Wilton leapt in behind
  18. As the bandits backed away from their traveling threesome, Wulfrin could tell they were planning something. The coast was clear for them to proceed once the bandits had retreated into the sandstorm, and so the group marched onward. Wulfrin was keeping a much more vigilant eye out for further intruders, as he was not wanting this quest to end poorly. He glanced up to the HP gauges in the top right of his view. Ciela's HP had dropped a bit, likely from the sandstorm itself, but it also didn't seem to be passively regenerating either. This was not a good sign. Up until now, Wulfrin had thought th
  19. On command Wulfrin charged once more into the frigid aura of Absolute Zero. Katoka had set him up perfectly for an attack. One problem though, his last attack whiffed hard. His highest leveled sword art remained locked to him after his absolute failure to hit. Despite this he charged in, hoping to maybe trigger the bleed effect on his blade, but only managed to glance off the glacial hide. The recoil from the attack sent him flying back into the snow. At this point he had done maybe two damage to the boss. Absolute Zero on the other hand had been doing some significant damage to him. Is t
  20. "Good idea on the guild," Wulfrin agreed eating on his meal at the diner. "Though it takes at least four players to start one. Right now you and I are the only two interested. I know of maybe one other player that may join, but that still leaves us one short. We can always just trade the items manually until we can get the members squared away. Glad to hear you think the idea is a good one though. I've been toying with starting a guild of my own, but it would be focused on leveling people up. I do think you can change the guild type but I'm not 100% sure. Let's table the guild idea and just st
  21. "Cool," Wulfrin said with a smile as they exited the shop. "Glad to see that's quest complete. I know a place not far from here we can grab a bite." Wulfrin lead the duo to a small diner near the market square. Wulfrin started up a tab for their food break, and began explaining a bit more about running a shop in SAO. "The first thing you'll notice is that item you appraised has a small loading icon next to it. Once the system accepts it as a valid item, it will become useable. After that it's waiting for the system to register the quest's completion in your log, and you will then hav
  22. "It took me a while to learn my profession's systems too," Wulfrin affirmed, trying his best to reassure his party member. "It takes practice. I'm not entirely convinced that your rank in the profession doesn't have anything to do with it. You being essentially level 0 is probably not helping much." Wulfrin looked over the item as well. It wasn't his cup of tea but some low level player might enjoy the extra mitigation boost. The standard starting gear was good enough to keep you in the fight, but you really want to upgrade as soon as possible. An item that increases your mitigation, even
  23. Wulfrin watched with intent as he perused the small shop on Floor 1. It was interesting to watch an appraiser at work, but it got him thinking about the armor he had gotten appraised with Morningstar. If he could somehow find an armor of similar rarity and tier, perhaps he could have a set of armor that could carry him into the late game. It might even be a set of armor he wouldn't have to keep replacing. There was of course the option of maybe getting something from Riardon once his shop was up and running. Wulfrin had plenty of unidentified items or even get something commissioned. "Loo
  24. Wulfrin sighed with relief as the river ran by with . He had expected a no, but instead it was being tabled for discussion. This was promising in his eyes. He just might be able to get away with a fairly profitable deal for both of them. Riardon was right though, the quest had to come first. There would be no deal without it. "Sound's good to me," Wulfrin said with a smile. "Let me just wrap up this cast and we'll be good to set out." Wulfrin did exactly that. After a few moments of waiting, his bobber dipped bellow the surface signifying another catch. This one also came with a ches
  25. “Ah so this is the place,” Wulfrin approached the counter of the humble shop after hearing his request was fulfilled. “Thanks for taking the time to build this for me. I was in desperate need of an upgrade. All this raid prep has me running ragged. I got your message about the cost. I know you said free but let me put at least something up for offer. If you ever need anything from me hit me up. I’m always available to help out those who help me. After all, that’s just good sportsmanship ain’t it?” Wulfrin collected his new set of armor and set out to start farming bosses for the floor rai
