  1. "How kind Rai," Wulfrin said as he took aim at the remaining flying monkey. "You left one for me. Very thoughtful of you." Wulfrin leapt into the air with his sword art glowing a vibrant emerald. With one well placed strike, Wulfrin watched as the monkey froze over from the effects if Icingdeath. The sad part was, he wouldn't get the chance to follow it up with anything. The now icy statue of a flying monkey lost all its lift an fell with the full force of gravity. Once it hit the ground, it shattered into a million tiny icy pieces that melted away in the noon day sun. "Well then," W
  2. Wulfrin's frustrations came to a head when Freyd managed to fish up their prey in one try. The added taunting only managed to act like salt in a wound. Before the Lurker had even planted its webbed feet on the shore, Wulfrin and Solaris were in motion. They rushed the collection of mobs like a well oiled machine. Solaris went for the Lurker's head, while Wulfrin swung his blade in a wide arc catching all of them in his fury. The frigid mists of Icingdeath solidified around the Lurker leaving a nice and large ice cube for his companions to take advantage of. The other fish? Well they wer e
  3. "Solaris," Wulfrin said turning his gaze to the sky. "Find me the Lieutenant. We need to make sure Uso-Tsuki hasn't knocked him out of the fight." Solaris immediately took off to the south. Wulfrin turned to the remaining honor guard and eyed them intently. He wasn't keen to just up and leave his employer, but he had no choice but to trust his guard. "Don't let my efforts go to waste," Wulfrin ordered. "I'll be back either with Uso-Tsuki alive, or proof of his defeat. Keep the Chief protected until then." Wulfrin with his eyes trailing off towards the sky occasionally, charged o
  4. "I'll find him don't worry," Wulfrin said standing up to survey the crowd of people. "My concern right now is the people." Wulfrin was scanning the people from his position up on the raised dias. He wanted to make doubly sure there wasn't anyone else going to attempt to rush the chief. He didn't want to admit it out loud, but as a player he was at a sever disadvantage even with his relatively high stats for the quest. He had used up almost half of his energy meter in that encounter. I need to be at my peak when I go up against Uso-Tsuki. Otherwise I might be screwed. Slowly search at firs
  5. Two orders back to back! Today was going to be a busy one. After reviewing both orders and assuring the patrons it wouldn't be long, Wulfrin set to work on their commissions. The first was simple, just a fusion of two items. After just a few moments, Wulfrin returned to his makeshift counter with the heavy armor. "Alright Zajcica," He said presenting the item. "Got your armor ready. May it protect you in the battles to come." The smith set back to work on the more involved process. Surprisingly he didn't have any Straight Sword blanks, and odd problem considering that was his preferr
  6. Wulfrin was content to just watch the girls complete their tasks. He found a bit of entertainment watching their moves and making mental notes in the event they would ask him for advice, his inner teacher coming out a bit. Miryu, your attacks are all over the place. Try and center yourself. Power doesn't mean anything if you can't hit. Alminia, you're too rigid. The blade should feel like an extension of your own form. Lighten up a bit and visualize the strike you want to make. Kylissia, you are too loose. Utilize your heavy armor. Be the impenatrable wall. All of these critiques filled his mi
  7. Wulfrin simply sighed as he nonchalantly approached his defeated foe, his icy exterior fading back into mists around his blade. At this point his enemy was doing nothing more than his routine lines provided to him by his programmer. "You say Uso-Tsuki could have offered more," Wulfrin said as he prepared to deliver the final blow. "If that was the case, he wouldn't have sent you. If you're the best he can offer, I think I'm better off without him." One rapid upwards arc of a slash was all it took. As the light of his sword art faded, Purotekuta burst into an array of fractal lights j
  8. Wulfrin grabbed Purotekuta by his robe and tossed him into the air. The venom in his voice had stung. These people fought for a peace found only in tyranny and fear, two things Wulfrin absolutely detested. With the combined force of all his moral stances, Wulfrin soared into the air after his quarry. He unleashed brutal blow after brutal blow before sending his foe rocketing towards the ground. Nova Ascension was a powerful art he only pulled out against dangerous foes. This was an excaption. "Your boss," Wulfrin said as he stepped towards the small crater his foe lay in. "He wants nothin
  9. "That works too," Wulfrin shrugged as he pushed deeper into the maze. "As for your question about my sense of direction, let's just say I have practice." As the two pressed deeper and deeper, Wulfrin occasionally would draw an arrow pointing the direction they came from if they came across an intersection. He still keeping his focus on traveling left when possible, as he didn't want to completely abandon a tactic. He had started noticing some oddities though. Scattered throughout the maze at random intervals were small round object that looked suspiciously like small golf balls one would
  10. Begrudgedly, Wulfrin took the offered bait. He wasn't sure what exactly a glove was going to do in this situation, but he figured it was worth a try. At this point Wulfrin was just getting way frustrated. He had already attempted thrice to catch this damned Lurker and thrice he had failed. Now he was on his fourth and pretty sure Kayaba was watching him from somewhere laughing at his terrible luck. When the line began to tug Wulfrin knew what it was without even having to bring it to the surface. Without a word or strain, he pulled up the single Fossil Fish. In a huff, he dismissed his fishing
  11. "I have a proposition for you," Wulfrin said with a sheepish tone to The Lightbringer. He took a deep breath before continuing. "Would you be my best man at the wedding? I've kinda only got like two real good friends that fit the bill and both of them are right here." Wulfrin let out a soft chuckle as his tension seemed to fade. Finally getting the words off his chest seemed to help out tremendously. He wasn't lying though, of all the people he had adventured with as of late, Freyd and Morningstar were always there when he needed them. From dungeons he shouldn't be in, to slime filled sew

  14. "See," Wulfrin chuckled as he prepared to strike again. "The difference between you and I is I'm not in it for the glory or the money. I couldn't care less if I'm even remembered here after today. No. Today is about proving a point." Wulfrin's blade cut through the air like a hot knife through butter, only this knife had no sharpness to it. Wulfrin maneuvered his strike in such a way that the flat of Icingdeath's frozen blade to smash into Difenda. As his target burst into an array of fractal motes, his blade continued slamming into Purotekuta's sternum. With a heavy thud the cloth armore
  15. "Leave the two big boys to me," Wulfrin said as he pulled his hood up, his Fallen Angel Garb in full display now that showtime was upon them. "Get the people to safety, Uso-Tsuki from fleeing too far, and keep the mooks off me. It's time to make a name for ourselves." Wulfrin began to make his way out of the trees and towards the Cheif's location. Seemingly to appear form no where, thanks to his armor's special properties. It didn't take long for Wulfrin to position himself between the chief and his assailants. "Don't you know it's bad luck to interrupt worship rituals?" Wulfrin spok
  16. "No it's not," Wulfrin said joking back. "I had it made for... a wedding... my wedding. Specifically with Ciela. I really wanted your opinion. I hope I don't look too weird." "I actually was trying to get in touch with you in person. I can't exactly track you down most days," Wulfrin sighed as he fumbled through his menus an withdrew a small neatly folded piece of paper and handed it over to Freyd. He watched intently, still shifting nervously. "I know it's a teeny bit short notice, but I haven't exactly gotten some one on one time with you. Here is your official invite to th
  17. Wulfrin slid down the grades attempting to make up for lost time. There was a fairly decent chance that whoever or whatever had tailed the girls was still out there, and they were out for blood. Pixels? What do you consider the blood of NPCs? Binary code maybe? Wulfrin shook his head clear, his ADHD was going to get him killed sidetracking him like that. Icingdeath in hand he leveled his blade at the area around him. The fractals of the fallen mob dissipating before his eyes. "Whoever's out there!" He shouted over the booms of the brewing storm. "Make yourself known! It'll save me having
  18. "Depends," Wulfrin said with a shrug and a sly smile. "You gunna step up and cast a line?" Wulfrin moved further down the bank towards the town's western edge. Perhaps it was the poor choice of locale. Then he cocked his head and turned his attention to their less than helpful NPC tag along. "Which bird?" Wulfrin said with a fire in his eyes. Solaris was sharing in his frustration. "Not that it matters. I'm not using either of them as bait." Wulfrin sent his line flying into the lake before them. There was little movement from the bobber as the lake's surface fell eerily calm. F
  19. "Right," Wulfrin said dismissively to the captain. "We need to get moving. We have a schedule to keep." Wulfrin climbed aboard the ship, Solaris took over the crows nest a top the tallest mast. Wulfrin stood at the prow overlooking the waters directly a head of them. He continued to run over the plan many more times in his head before finally addressing the lieutenant. "I can handle the enforcers," Wulfrin said with his eyes fixated on the horizon. "Your men need to keep the people out of the line of fire. More importantly they need to keep Uso-Tsuki from fleeing. From what I've gath

  21. "Shit," Wulfrin said as chaos began to erupt. "Solaris get me some eyes on those girls!" The duo burst into action, Wulfrin in a dead sprint pushing past NPCs in a frantic rush to make up for lost ground. Solaris soared through the air, a neat little portable quest marker should he need one in a situation such as this. The two always traveled like this, it was second nature. Wulfrin only need to briefly look up to check his current course. Time was of the essence. Sure they were NPCs and would likely respawn if they were killed and whatever quest they were tied to would just reset for the

  23. Wulfrin had set out scouting the final location a few days prior. He and Ciela had settled on Raitoboru Bay as the destination of choice for their wedding. There was only one teensy problem left to solve. He had to get the last invites out. More importantly he needed to speak to one person in particular about a large part he wanted them to play. Quickly Wulfrin shuffled through menus to pull up his messages and sent out a message directly to Freyd. To: Freyd From: Wulfrin Subj: A favor Hey I was wondering if you could meet me in Raitoboro Bay
