  1. It took a while to track down the traveling cook, but Wulfrin finally managed to figure out the best place to intercept him. In his frantic preparations he was making for the raid, Wulfrin had compiled quite the shopping list. Pretty much every item on the list was selected specifically to help him in grinding to get up to the frontlines faster and hopefully gather up some shiny new gear. He was planning to go out farming soon, so he needed every edge he could get. Normally he'd go to Ciela, but she was preoccupied with her own leveling to get to his backlog order, so someone well stocked was
  2. Wulfrin watched the conversation unfold before him when they entered Zachariah's establishment. He was thoroughly surprised that they weren't being required to craft up a potion like he did, likely part of the odd quest update that happened midway through. The conversation was a pleasant, yet familiar one. As Wulfrin had witnessed before, Zach was in fact not the borrower and suggested the group check out Lyle. He wasn't thrilled to be going back to the grouchy blacksmith, but the quest required them to do so. The trip there Wulfrin found himself lost in thought. This day just keep s gett

  4. “I mean if we are just in it for a grind,” Wulfrin spoke up in response to Star’s lingering question. “I’ve heard rumors of a bad slime infestation in a dungeon on floor 26. I could use the exp boost and with a crew this large and in sync, I think we have a good chance of clearing the place out, even with me not being quite at the same level of strength yet.” Wulfrin returned his blade to its scabbard be for taking a quick seat on some of the left over debris. He wasn’t completely drained, but the adrenaline was definitely starting to fade as the passive regen began to work its magic.
  5. Wulfrin was far less versed in the martial arts than pretty much al of the students even the beginners. Try as he might, he couldn't even get the basics down. How he had managed to pass these classes already baffled him every time. The fact he even completed the quest must have been up to dumb luck. The only thing keeping Wulfrin motivated to try was how well Foyle was doing. The best part about this quest was the only part that mattered was the boulder at the end. Pretty much all of the tasks we set up solely to boost the damage you deal to the boulder. Shame he left his knuckle dusters at ho
  6. "Yeah I took a big hit to my mitigation," Wulfrin said in between bites and gulps of his given consumables. "I had a set of Light Armor chilling in my inventory from forever ago that had Fireproof on it. Unfortunately it was only tier one so I opted to make it a tier less item that I can swap out in the event of superheated bosses or floors. It boosts my evasion so I hope that's enough to keep me alive. I mainly have to worry about AoEs, but I do have a more durable armor set to wear for raids. Still a mitigation drop but not near as bad." Wulfrin overlooked the sprawling Dark Elven city
  7. The synergy was astonishing to watch. Wulfrin's companions charged around Ugzeke with speed and precision that can only come from a long time spent honing timing and learning each others abilities. Ugzeke erupted in fire from the player called Eruda. Raidou unleashed some massive sword art Wulfrin had never seen before, perhaps one of the custom ones he had heard about held by the higher level players. Then there was Freyd. Wulfrin had seen the man obliterate multiple boss level mobs before, but once the wave of buffs hit him, Freyd became a whole other beast. "On your right Star!" Wulfri
  8. "Solaris," Wulfrin responded to the question about his familiar. "He can be a bit pretentious sometimes, but most of the time he is a pretty decent scout. Saved him from a handful of bandits up on Floor 5." Wulfrin eventually grasped the edge of the cliff that signified the end of their journey. He pulled himself up then offered a hand down to each of his charges, providing each an extra bit of assistance up over the ridge. The three stood before an ornate mountain monastery, the sounds of NPCs training in various martial arts forms echoed from the courtyards. "Well that's step one c
  9. "Alright we'll be starting with Ugzeke," Wulfrin said as he stepped off the warp gate. "I've got a list of bosses I'd like to take down now that I'm capable of fighting on the frontlines. I also plan to head back down to Floor 9 and kick around Cerberus for a bit. The Blazing Bite Sword Art is my next big goal for collecting, but I have to take down the weaker Cerberus first. I don't think we'll be able to get away with leveling down this time, as we will need everything we've got." In contrast to his simple fishing get up, Wulfrin was wearing a completely closed red coat adorned with pat
  10. So the fan must be one of those new thrown weapons I've been hearing so much about. Wulfrin admired the fan as it whirled towards the enemy before returning to Mina. The implementation of both projectile weapons and thrown weapons was a game changer for most, as it provided a third dimension to the combats. Now you didn't have to wait for an opening and the monster to be within reach. Wulfrin's energy gauge shot upward from the small boost provided by Hirru. Utilizing the opening created by Mina's fan and his temporarily boosted energy reserve, Wulfrin charged forward unleashing his stron
  11. "I should be good to go," Wulfrin said as he took a breather on a bit of rock nearby. "I'd like a chance to recharge if we have the time. If not guess we ball with the hands we're dealt." Solaris fluttered down and began to bathe in a nearby lava pool. The idea of bringing a small phoenix to take on a much larger field boss of a phoenix kind of made Wulfrin chuckle a bit. He had assumed Solaris was the only one of his kind, and he very well could be. The only resemblance Solaris and the field boss shared was the fact they were both flaming birds. The field boss was much more terrifying th

  13. Wulfrin had taken the day off from his shop for the fishing tournament taking place not far from his place of residence on Floor 22. He was even more interested that it contained a perfect opportunity to bump his fiancé up a few levels via a quest boss linked to it. Wulfrin had gotten an early start, in an effort to get some recreation fishing done before the whole thing kicked off. Unfortunately he wasn't having much luck in that regard. He was at the edge of the dock, his feet dangling just above the water of the Lake of Reflection. He had been there a few hours with no bites, waiting on Cie
  14. "Sweet you found one!" Wulfrin exclaimed as Ciela placed the chest before him exhausted. "Lemme get this open and we can go." Wulfrin set to work getting the chest open. There wasn't much in it, but it was much better than nothing at all. Both of them were going to need all the items, col and materials they could get their hands on, since the raid of floor 28 was creeping closer and closer by the day. Wulfrin carefully distributed the rewards as best he could, separating the col and materials into even piles for him and Ciela. She had found the chest after all; it would be bad sportsmansh
  15. Wulfrin wasted no time returning to action. He was ready to get these bandits off his trail and this one in particular had dodged every strike he sent its way. Wulfrin dashed forward in the same stance he had done on every other attack, but notably his blade did not glow with the light of a Sword Art. Instead as the bandit moved to dodge the strike again, Wulfrin quickly pivoted the oposite direction, his blade's pommel glowing with the golden light of a sword art meant to stun and incapacitate. The blow landed square in the bandits back, sending them reeling down to the ground as their HP dro
  16. If only I had more arts to coordinate with. Wulfrin shook his head to clear the negative thoughts that would impede his battle focus. It was a neat little trick he had picked up fighting The Gemini. Wulfrin wasn't necessarily using the skill he had acquired, but the encounter had taught him to keep his head in the game. As The Phoenix burst back to life from it's ashes, Wulfrin noticed its debuffs remained. As if by happen stance, he had also set himself up for a massive blow using Nova Ascension. He charged forward, his blade shining a brilliant crimson as he raked it across the boss's b
  17. Following on the coat tails of Ciela's attacks and subsequent tanking of the incoming attack, Wulfrin pressed their advantage with another Horizontal Square. He danced around the weakened bandits with force and agility. His skills had been improving drastically. His time being spent with Freyd and other DPS users on the frontlines had been fruitful. The bosses he had been facing off with were much faster and hit way harder than these bandits ever could. The cerulean square erupted from two of the remaining bandits, it seems the fourth is a bit more agile than the others. The two that had been
  18. Wulfrin recieved the notification that his order was ready just as he returned from his outing to Floor 3. On his way home he made sure to stop by his fiancé's little bakery to pick up another set of items. "Glad to see you're making progress," Wulfrin complimented. "I hate to do this, but I'm going to need to place a much larger order this time. I've been getting pulled away more and more to help prepare for the raid and I think I might even be enlisted to fight, so I'm going to need every edge I can get. I don't have all the mats to cover it, but I hope col can help cover it. I'm even t
  19. "That's too creepy," Wulfrin said as the two looked back to where Zamek had once been standing. "I hate how NPCs just disappear like dust in the wind." Wulfrin carefully explored their hiding spot, but Zamek had seemingly abandoned them. On the plus side though, the sand storm had stopped. That was a good thing he supposed, but they still had to trek back. Wulfrin scanned the open desert before him, now armed with clear visibility. HE couldn't see anything on the horizon. It was nothing but a barren land of sand and rocks. "Alright you shmuck," Wulfrin's attention was immediately pul
  20. Training is training I suppose. Hell, Hercules did it. What's to say I cant? Wulfrin followed the party towards the ancient Greek ruins. His studies of mythologies were often surface level, mainly only what he had managed to retain in his mythology class during college. It was the only history class he could really get behind, but this wasn't the time to reminisce. Instead he tried to bring up anything at all on the beast. Other than being slain by Hercules as one of his twelve labors, Wulfrin couldn't recall much. Looking over the beast as it entered its arena provided much more detail.
  21. "I'm never reckless Star," Wulfrin smirked as he charged into battle on The Lightbringer's heels. Like a well trained duo, Wulfrin and his familiar danced around the larger phoenix. Both of them had something to prove. Wulfrin was proving not just to the other players present, but to himself as well that he could play in the big leagues. Solaris wanted to prove they were the superior flaming mythological bird. In tandem the two struck towards the bird's head, Wulfrin throwing off the stunned beast's aim and Solaris putting on the damage over time with his rend. Wulfrin's delaying strike l
  22. Wulfrin laughed at Nym's very understandable confusion at the name of RNCheeseus. Wulfrin had suspected that they hadn't had much gaming experience before SAO, but this pretty much confirmed his suspicions. The slang terms were hard to get a grasp on, but once you got a chunk of them down, they would often lead to fantastic conversations not unlike this one. "R-N- Cheesus is slang Nym," Wulfrin chuckled happily as he cast his line back into the river. "They're basically praying they get some decent rolls in the random number generator. In other words Adelyte just wants good luck, somethin

  24. Wulfrin had an idea brewing, but he wasn't able to accomplish it himself. Instead he set out to find a tailor that may have what he was looking for in stock. The Crusty Barnacle's owner Bahr had built Wulfrin's tier 4 armor, so that was the first place he checked. As he perused the miscellaneous armor available for purchase, he spotted exactly what he was looking for. His idea involved an item sitting in his storage for a while and turning it into an armor for going into the hottest environments. "Hey Bahr," Wulfrin said looking over the price tag of his chosen item. "I'll be taking this
  25. Wulfrin finally set down his current project for a break. As he went to leave his forge, he noticed a neatly written note with a custom order on it. He hadn't seen the player enter or leave. Must have come in while I was working. Why didn't they say anything? Wulfrin looked over the order. They must be fairly new requesting his starter kit built for tanking. Wulfrin looked back to his workstation with a sigh. He only had a few pieces ready to go, so that meant he had just gotten his ToDo list extended by a few hours. As he put the finishing touches on the items, he pulled up his menus and
