[F2|PP] Rabbit vs Boulder <<Breaking the Unbreakable>>
Battle Maid posted a topic in Beginner Floors
After splitting up with Reese, Tokki would find herself on floor two for her next stop of quests. Earning the martial arts skill was not as easy as the other weapons in the game. You couldn’t just invest skill points to unlock it. The skill was locked behind a quest here, so if she wanted to deal any meaningful damage to her enemies she would need to finish this quest. Without that she won’t be laying down much of a smackdown to her enemies. Wasting no time she would locate the quest giver’s starting location, the first problem that stuck out was the climbing of a mountain. In order to re -
“ナイス” The girl will say again upon seeing the shield amongst the treasure. She’ll inspect it to make sure it’s usable for him and nod. “Looks like someone has to identify the enhancements on it. I think appraisers do that but I have little experience with that. I do know that’s the way you unique enhancements which can range from pretty powerful to some being useless.” She’ll explain with her limited knowledge. Pete will then hand the two a letter with his debt encased. “Keep that crap for all I care and tell Dorian to leave me alone already.” He’ll rant before getting back to cleaning up

Tokki would nod as Reese asked if they should open their chests. She wasn't not going to open it after digging it of there after all. She would give the lock on it a hefty kick and push the lid open with her foot to reveal a paltry sum of Col and some random consumables. They weren't really useful as is but maybe having a small, spare health potion wasn't the worst idea. They could probably even scrap anything they considered trash for Col somewhere. "Well, not the big haul you were expecting Pete but there it is." She'll tell the fisherman then look to her companion. "Let's see if my luc

“Quests like these tend to be long on purpose so newbies can absorb the knowledge in a slow fashion. Trying to throw information in someone’s face who has little context for these things can easily overwhelm them.” Tokki will explain. “It’s probably a little easier for you since I’m here and you can bounce questions off me.” The duo would find themselves heading to a lake now, shocker. The fisherman is out on a lake. Pete didn’t seem like the nicest man but he got his point across without wasting any time like Lyle did. He would tell them that he was in fact the one that Dorian lent the m

The duo had completed their objective just before Battle Maid was about to lose her cool on the annoyance that was these mobs. She would really need to work on getting those accuracy enhancing items it seemed. After a calm and collected sigh, Tokki would turn to Reese with her tone fixed from her last statement. “ナイスクリティカル. Nice hit.” She would, again, start walking towards their next objective. “Yeah let’s finish this quest up. Though, call it a hunch but I think we’re still going to go on one more excursion. We’ve been taught how to gather, now how to fight. I expect there will be a fin

Despite her telling him to take a rest, he didn’t seem to want to sit around. That was fine since they only needed one more boar beaten now. If she engaged first she could easily keep its attention. “Gotcha, you’re doing just fine.” She’ll simply respond, turning her attention to the last prey they would set their eyes on for this part of the quest. Hopefully it was the last. Charging in with vigor, Tokki would throw her metal-clad foot into its face the same way she did the last. Her sneak attack was not as successful this time around though. He foot flied past its face, cause the little

"I can understand that, you take a break and I'll take down another boar down in the meantime so we don't sit here for too long. Hopefully this will be the last objective for us." Tokki will say, offering Reese the moment to regain his HP. She would engage the closest boar without hesitation. With a quick burst in, she would catch it off guard and put her foot into its face with a strength to knock it on it's ass. It reeled so heavily from her attack that it didn't even have the chance to retaliate. "That felt good with how much these things have been dodging us!" The maid would exclaim a

Thankfully, he wouldn't meet the end of another attack but their chance to hit was rather low. Every turn seemed like they were missing attacks and the boars were just the same. It would have probably been smart for them to have acquired some items that increased their accuracy. They could also attempt to sedate them but getting combat experience seemed more useful. "If you need to take a break feel free. I didn't invest in a sword art yet because I need to do a quest to unlock hand-to-hand combat. I have ranks in armor though so they do a lot less damage to me." Luckily one of them had d

Reese, supposedly feeling more confident would attempt an area of effect attack against two of the boars. The stakes were getting a little high now with the pressure of having multiple targets. "Careful, watch your health and switch with me if you need it." Tokki will say. The boars would strike, one missing quite easily but the second one would strike him in the back and knock him down after he asked her a question. Just as she attempted to follow up with an attack against that boar she would slip and miss it. "Damn! Let me take one off you if you get hit again!" She was worried that he

Tokki will stretch as her tank engages the enemy, ready to do a follow up strike for when he went in. "Hey, we're just five bored teenagers that happened to share a hobby. I used to think that making friends was really hard when I was younger but after I met them I opened up a lot more. You can do it too with anyone if you find the right things to talk about." She'll respond, following behind him. The boar would would feel the bit of the spear wielded by Reese, dropping its HP enough for the maid to jump in and ram its teeth in with her steel heels. Just like last time it would explode in

The strike of Reese's spear was the opening she needed. Tokki would come in quickly, reel back her foot and punt the boar into the sky where it would dissolve into digital dust not too soon afterwards. "Wonderful. One down, only five more to go I guess. Might take us awhile." She'll let him know as they waited for the next one to spawn. When he expressed that it wasn't a problem with her friends he could see her let out an audible sigh of relief. "They can be a handful sometime. We are all women yes. In fact, you've seen all of us. The one that said hello to us and asked if you were my bo

The hit had hardly put a notch in Tokki's Health so she wasn't too worried. A small perk for having invested in protection early rather than a weapon. The only problem she was having now was her accuracy in hitting her target. Her attack would come in just as Reese missed his attack, although she too would miss. A growl of disdain escaped her lips. "Good luck guys! It took as awhile with four people but you have to kill three per person in the party!" One of the friends of Tokki would say as the other group left. Tokki would sigh, and side step the boar giving her a wider attack that made

Battle Maid will shrug at his willingness to follow her. Plenty of people have followed her but she'd never really wanted to be a leader. That, however, didn't mean she cared if they wanted to see her as one, just that they shouldn't expect her to keep that role close to heart. She nods at the confirmation of her words from before. "Yeah, pretty much. We've had a lot of looks for our characters in game." She'll extend her explanation. The two wouldn't take long to meet with Lyle, who would tell them that he's too busy to talk and that they would need to go and kill some boarlets to use th

With their group meeting the requirements, they would now be directed to return to the potion maker Zackariah. Battle Maid would lead the way but not get ahead of Reese, just to signify that they should return now. "I'm not that good at leading people really. My friends only listen to me cause I started our group in a game a long time ago." Reese would then explain his situation to a degree and it really didn't seem that pretty compared to living in Aincrad. She wasn't sure which was worse, not without more details at least. "I see. Well, we find victories in life where we can." Perhaps h

Her luck was clearly front loaded. The material she’d found so easily had been the only one in the area from what it seemed. Not to mention her tripping and face planting into the grass just as Reese began describing how happy he was to try out the game. Despite her disgraceful blunder, she quickly sits back up and fixes her skirt(Not that she was indecent underneath anyway). She would remain sitting on the ground looking off into the distance, letting Reese’s words linger for a moment. “Me and my friends would move so fast through games. We’ve seen each other in several different skins b

The maid was lucky on her first searching attempt and kept a look out for another convenient item labeled with the material tag. Her second attempt was not so lucky, however. Thankfully the quest didn’t require you to collect the materials but just make the searches. When Reese spoke up, she turned her attention to him. He talked about setting up a shop and what not, something she hadn’t really given thought to since starting the game. That was more up Dokkaebi’s alley than hers. “Uh, I’m not entirely sure.” Tokki will mutter. “I was never really interested in crafting in other MMOs that

Tokki would follow beside him as they made there way to the way-marker that would lead them out of the safe zone. Tokki had yet to traverse the safe area either but she didn't seem that worried about it at all, unless her poker face was on another level. "I've heard the mobs outside can be threatening without any gear but as long as you have a weapon it should be fine." Tokki will explain her reason for asking him about his gear. As Reese mentioned it being his first time outside the safe zone Tokki will nod. "Same. No different from any other VRMMO I've played before, though. With frien

While it was true, she wouldn’t normally approach a random to ask if they wanted to quest together, she’d never really had to. The five person team she was used to just unluckily had gotten split up thanks to the nature of the quest they were sharing. Battle Maid would nod as he replied with a ‘yes’ in Spanish.(Not that she necessarily understood Spanish just that she could tell from body language and his follow-up answer.) The blonde maid would open her menu and fire the man a party invite. She most certainly couldn’t read his in game name so she was glad when he offered the easier one t

Heels clacked against the stone pavement as Battle Maid traveled to the quest board, lagging just slightly behind Reese so she would just miss him at the quest board. Just like him, she was looking for the Beginner Quests that would start off a players journey to the higher floors. Normally she would do these sorts of things with Seraphim, Dokkaebi, Cheonsa and Agma but the group would have to be split in some way that would leave them with an odd one out. Being the one that’s typically fine with soloing content, she offered to be that odd one out while the others quested together. So, she wou

Tokki would wait patiently for her order, not having much to do anyways without the order. She peruses the selection he has and watches as he works. Once the order is finished, she returns to the counter and inspects the piece. "Hm." The girl takes them and equips them immediately, taking a few steps to ensure they were a good fit. Thankfully, they fit perfectly snug. Maybe the game was designed to fit clothing to the model of the player. "Perfect. When the time comes to upgrade I'll be sure to keep your shop in mind." The maid would say before heading out. -

On her last stop for the day, Tokki would need a set of armor. Although, she didn’t intend to be taking too much damage something that allowed for movement was in her best interest. She entered the shop and approached the counter, finding it rather easy to fill out yet another order form. ”I’m just looking for a starting piece of cloth armor. Something to keep me nimble in a fight while using the martial art skill.” Tokki will explain whilst filling out the form and handing it off to the girl behind the counter. -

The air of a smith’s shop was definitely groggier than a quaint little shop run by a cute black cat. Another person was much more preferable this time around, however, since she had a very specific custom order. He pointed her to that exactly as he told her to give him a moment and pointing out the forms. “Excellent.” She filled it out quickly and precisely then left it on the counter. “Need a very specific type of weapon for my combat style, hopefully the details explain it well enough.” Tokki would let him know when he came to pick up the order. She would then wait patiently for the wor -

Battle Maid replied to NIGHT's topic in Merchants and Shops
The jingle of the bells sounded as Tokki stepped into the shop. She’d never bern in a player’s shop before but this had way more soul than any of the NPC shops she’s been in. She would notice a cute black cat on the counter. It began mewing at her the moment they locked eyes, but Tokki would peruse the section first, grabbing two items from the owners stock and bringing it to the counter where she paid the appropriate amount then gave the cat some affection. “Thank you for the gear Mr. Cat.” -

So she finally found her way to the shopkeeper Zackariah’s potion making place. A man named Dorian had given him a loan or something, or so he thinks. Simple fetch quests were even more boring the 1000th time you did them but that would only be a problem if Tokki had been doing them over the several long months she’s been in Aincrad. So, she entered the shop and approached Zackariah. He seems rather busy, so much so that he has no time to stop and speak with the Battle Maid. He instead informs her that if she were to collect extra materials for him that he would get to her inquiries as so -
The Battle Bunny walked through the Town of Beginnings quietly. With several people going to the frontlines to work through floor bosses, the starting city wasn’t so bustling despite the multitude of Non Player Characters that inhabited it. It wasn’t the same kind of feeling you would get in a normal video game city, that was for sure. Nevertheless, Tokki had a mission today: Begin the first quests of this stupid game. She had hoped that the people who were more invested in this game would blaze through it rather quickly and get them all out. When she’d heard that the frontlines had not y
