  1. The sandstorm reached them far sooner than Nymoria could’ve expected. It began battering them after only another half hour had passed; a half hour that Nymoria had to admit was at least partially excruciating. The slow pace had barely changed, even with the urgency of the coming storm, and she’d begun to tell herself that there was no way they were going to make it into the storm and beyond. ”We’re almost there, I think! Not long now!” The shout had come out of nowhere just as the winds had begun to pick up in earnest, mere moments before the first gusts of sand had struck her. She doubt
  2. Nymoria’s eyes alighted on a collection of small gems that glittered in the sand, a plethora of colours that seemed to draw attention towards themselves. She quickly changed her pace and direction towards them, taking a few moments to look them over before confirming that only one of them was of any use to her. Carefully pulling it away from the main collection, she stored it into her inventory before glancing back at her travelling companion; the man having only made it a few dozen more steps in the entire time it had taken her to extract the gemstone. If this pace keeps up, Musei and I
  3. What was apparent to her before became even more obvious as their steps carried them slowly through the alleyways and back into the small bazaar. Nymoria had managed to keep her patience only through the ability to glance, once more, over the various items and goods for sale – her eyes lighting up once more over the bracelets she’d spotted earlier. She eyed their designs, saving them to memory with the intent to try and create them herself when she had the chance, before stepping after the elderly man that she had agreed to accompany – his form having made it almost to the end of their current
  4. Nymoria felt herself biting her lip, her eyes taking in the man before her. The NPC seemed similar to the description, at least what little description there was. His words also seemed to match with the few hints that the quest gave, and Nymoria couldn’t see any foul or hostile intent from the man – at least, not in the current moment. I can accompany you. But we go under my direction. Is that okay? The man’s eyes seemed to pause on Nymoria’s hands as she responded in her odd way, something that the NPCs had never commented on, and very few players had; although she knew the latter simply

  6. Her steps led her beyond the edges of the small bazaar and into the town proper, her eyes passing over various stores and taverns, as well as a collection of various homes and other buildings of limited interest as she passed by them entirely. She continued along a path, leisurely heading towards what she had assumed would be the exit from the town and into the wildlands beyond, the only thing she knew about the quest being that she needed to head for the desert, and travel through it with a companion that she would locate somewhere. Somewhere indeed. How hard can it be to find this perso
  7. The line-up to get onto the teleporter had caused Nymoria’s travels to pause temporarily, a long fifteen minutes that had passed only through sheer determination and spite that was emanating from her as she stood in what could be called an orderly line. It was the first time she’d ever encountered a line in order to use the teleportation pads, and it made her wonder what sort of special event or occasion was occurring to cause such a thing to even happen. Who would’ve thought that you’d have to wait for instant transmission to a higher floor? I guess it’s still faster than taking the stai
  8. Musei had kept them far longer than Nymoria had meant to stay at the store, his nose poking and sniffing at the various amounts of assorted meats and treats that were open and on display for those looking to buy. She’s also spent far more col than she’d been intending to, thanks to the weasel deciding that it was going to sample a number of the pieces on display – much to the shop keeper’s dismay and outbursts. All in all, she’d left a substantial amount of her earnings behind, and given the weasel a harsh look for the trouble that he’d caused. Not that it had in any way helped; Musei ha
  9. Quest The morning came all too soon as the familiar vibration of her alarm clock woke her. Nymoria rolled to the side, groaning as she realised that it had only been a single night since her challenge with the hooded figure. Her search through the area had been worth her time, eventually learning that the figure was known as the Gemini, a being which appeared to face and challenge players on the floor. One which Nymoria had been lucky to find so early on, from what she had been told. She’d also learnt, to her benefit, that it was rare to rediscover the Gemini. Instances had happe
  10. Quest She’d chosen to focus more on her profession, now that she had settled upon her role in Aincrad. She still wasn’t sure that she’d be able to make it to the frontlines – those areas were filled with the skilled individuals whose entirely role was to break their way out of the game, and back into the real world. A task which, somehow, made Nymoria feel small and vulnerable in comparison, as if she would be nothing more than a mockery or a fallacy trying to join the real fighters. Instead, she’d decided that the best thing she could do was prepare herself to support them. T

  12. Silent Moments Found within the small back alleys within the Town of Flora, this small shop contains a wondrous assortment of trinkets, gadgets and toys designed to assist players of all levels. Homely, in the way that a Christmas market seems to draw in those in a celebratory spirit, this store contains three small showrooms, each which centre around a configuration of patterns and designs that are lost on most individuals aside from those who call the place home. Operated solely by the owner of the shop, the hours of it's availability tend to vary, with a small sign ou
  13. Nymoria listened as each of them stated their desires, her eyes watching the movement of lips as much as the area around them. She smiled gently at the idea of opening a tea shop, and simply operating it until the end of time came for them. There was something almost comforting in the idea, as if it were a dream to be grasped at, against all odds. Not that she could see herself selling tea for the remainder of her days, but it seemed to fit Kingsley almost perfectly. Her eyes hovered over the only other player who appeared to have aspirations for the frontlines. A man who seemed determi
  14. The village had looked exactly the same as when Nymoria had first left it. The few people wandering about went with smiles, and those that she had spoken with during her first pass through the area seemed unaware of her departure, and eventual return. It was almost eerily welcoming in Nymoria’s eyes, and she found herself feeling a familiar chill once more as she wandered through the streets. Although she knew that she had been gone for hours, it appeared as though no one else was aware of her departure – in fact, the few players she had spoken with assumed she had been in a café, or tave
  15. Nymoria didn’t wait around as the final shadow figure disappeared into shards, the pieces drifting down onto the ground even as she made her escape from the area. She’d spotted the movement once more as her acrobatic movements had brought her underneath and around the figure she’d taken down, confirming that more of them were heading towards her even as she had finished the final one of the original group. Knowing that she had already pushed herself to her limits twice over, she’d chosen a hasty retreat rather than a near death experience. Her feet had carried her back along the path she’
