  1. After Euled was done with his attack, he looked at Yeff, who seemed in like he was in a berserk state. His movements were raggedy and he felt more rough and jaggedy. It was clear that this boss was on another level to the two minotaurs they had faced earlier. The elf targeted Freyd first, trying to slash his torso open. "Watch ou-!" His warning was unneeded, as Freyd dodged the attack easily. Sweeping the monster off of its legs, he put Yeff in a painful hold, smashing him airborne from a shockwave in the ground for good measure. His HP dropped dangerously low, only trickles left. Wi
  2. "O...kay?" The description of Yeff as a "meme" made Euled's expectations confuddled. Maybe he just looked really stupid or something. Still, appearances could be deceiving; it was best to be cautious about these kind of things, after all. They passed through shrubbery, the nature of the place making Euled's hair stand on its ends. He felt like there were a million pairs of eyes watching him, and he swore he could see shadows leaping around from the corners of his eye. Freyd seemed cautious, and Euled followed his actions. "...I'll be careful." Eventually, the path of the twistin
  3. "Unique Item? Sounds interesting. I can't believe I haven't killed one or two field bosses while I've been running around everywhere...I haven't even seen one yet." Field bosses being unknown to Euled made this encounter sound a little bit exciting. It was like going into something unknown as a kid. The unique Item was like the cherry on top, not like he'd squabble with Freyd over it. Whoever got the last hit would get it, that's that. Unless the item was useless for either party or something. Euled glanced over to him as he opened his menu to summon 2 potions, crystalising into his hands
  4. "I'm not gonna get beaten anytime soon." The "Caverns of Faerie"...Sounds...generic? The name "Yeff" made him think of a giant Yeti, something that didn't sound threatening or dangerous in the slightest. Though, maybe he could soak up some pain they inflicted on him. With Larbrook gone, it was just Freyd and Euled, not that Larbrook had done anything to help them. He got why Freyd liked annoying him so much, if only just a tiny tiny bit. He went to follow Freyd out of these claustrophobic metal hallways, shoving his hands into his coat pockets. A glance back at Larbrook before h
  5. The reinvigorated assault caused by Euled would prove to be useless. Shuffling out of the way, the metal on his blade slashed uselessly into thin-air, giving him just a split second of end-lag before returning back to a neutral swordplay stance. His breathing became coarse and uneven; this fight had been drawn out for far too long. Maybe they were equal in strength, or maybe the copied version of Euled was toying with him. Either way, he wouldn't lose. It seemed to be an even match-up, slightly leaning towards the original Euled in a bout of attrition. "Seriously, this guy is a pain..."
  6. Euled glanced over to Freyd as he executed the attack, killing the minotaur. He was glad that his stun had succeeded, though it was a bit overkill. He grimaced at the sound of the beast getting decapitated. Man, I'm grateful that these guys just disappear into shards and don't...bleed out everywhere. It was still a game, after all. Any extreme gore like that and it would probably be taken off the market. The corpse faded away into nothing, any trace of it being there gone. "Yeah, thanks." With a smile, he placed his sword back into his sheathe cushioned into his coat with a
  7. "Eh. Maybe he wants to challenge us, maybe he was just plain bored. I guess we'll just find out when we get to floor 100 and beat it." No matter what his motives are, at least that there was some kind of silver lining to this nightmare. Otherwise, SAO would've been a lot harder to beat. "Huh...I guess that's true. I've always thought that you should just go at quests alone, but in a big raid, that's not exactly possible.." Reading between the lines was never Euled's speciality, so he didn't dwell on the topic. An SAO vet was always someone he was willing to shift his perspective
  8. "Hahah. Well, if there's anything I had to pick that I was grateful to the Cardinal system for, it'd be the pain scaling. I don't think half of the players on the frontlines would've went outside Floor 1 if it wasn't for the pain mitigation. But that's just my two cents, I guess." It seemed like they could diss the system of the game without any repercussion. It was good that Kayaba wasn't watching over them this whole time; it brought him a shred of comfort in the midst of the whole death game scphiel. "That...doesn't sound very pleasant. How the hell do you even manage something l
  9. Euled glanced over to Larbrook as his shoes clanked against the labyrinth's hard floor. He listened to Freyd speak, feeling sympathy for him. "Poor guy. So they just left him here to guard this little thing till SAO gets cleared? Talk about sad game design." He snickered a little at the jab at Kayaba. Similar to a lot of other players, there was a lot of hatred harboured for him. I mean, he was the one who trapped them in this game, after all. They continued their trek, Euled keeping his pace so that he would walk right next to Freyd. Trusting the NPC seemed like the smartest move in
  10. He put his hands in his non existent coat pockets, watching the last few shards of the beast-human minotaur thing slip away. For something so big and dangerous looking..it didn't look so dangerous now. Especially when it burst into a big heap of flying pixels everywhere. It might've been a little cooler if blood started spewing out everywhere...but he wasn't sure if he could stomach that after killing a rabbit or something. "Fair enough." Looking back at the burly, buff Larbrook Euled formed a connection between the synapses in his brain. Accompanying one of them was boring, but two
  11. Reeling from the pain, he would grunt through it and swip his sword in a reverse grip, aiming to stun him using the pommel of his blade. While his copy was in the attack motion, he ducked outside of Euled's attack, making him slam his sword hilt into nothing, uselessly. He looked quite stupid, almost tripping over from excessive force put into the attack. It made his blood boil. Even though the Gemini had no reaction thus far, he could've sworn he saw the faint markings of a smirk appear on his face. It was like he was trying to provoke him, the intentions behind this assault still unclear. Wa
  12. After his attack connected to no effect, Euled tried to draw his sword back. It's not like he pierced through anything, so it was easy to do so. His copy would lunge at him in a similar fashion to before, the tip of his sword pointed dangerously at his chest where all his vital organs were. I won't fall for the same thing twice! He raised his sword up for the metal to brush against the other sword, letting sparks fly and nullifying the attack. However, things were not going to go as he planned. The attack connected, but the copy could definitely hit harder than him. Their swords clan
  13. He could feel life flowing back into his veins as he gulped down the potion, his health bar increasing by a big increment, going from an amber yellow colour to a healthy light green. From what Euled could tell, his mirror man couldn't use potions or skills. I've just gotta hit him hard again, and it's over. Brandishing his new sword again, he would go in for another attack. Euled's energy was almost one third down, so his sword didn't glow this time. Instead, all he did was swing his sword down in a simple motion. The strong metal would impact into the coat in a menial fashion; it b
  14. "Wh-what?" He swivelled his head at the commanding voice to see a giant half-beast half-man wearing a skirt and a beret far too small for its head. In its arms was a weapon that looked like a giant stick adorned with small jagged spikes around the handle. On the tip of the stick held an amber coloured orb enfused into the material. It looked similar to a stereotypical mage's wand. Though he didn't get to analyse the beast for long before a big object went swinging at his head, darting away and watching it plant a big indent into the labyrinth walls, said indent exploding into game data.
