  1. After her last turn in the cup game, Firefly found herself alone. That didn’t bother her though! That meant more time to wander and witness all the lovely sights at her own pace without anyone feeling restless. Firefly would do just that, wandering the event grounds taking in all the smells and sights that she could. Sooner or later she would find herself in front of a man named Jai. He would offer her a chance to play a board game called Gyan Chauper. “I’ve never heard of it before, but I would be glad to give it a try if you could teach me!” Some time spent engaging with the rules
  2. Samantha quickly moved behind Morningstar when she realized her attacked missed and the bat would soon retaliate. She wasn't exactly sure the danger that was in front of her but it was clear by how quickly her partner moved to aid her that she should be worried about it. "She's not too much farther in." Firefly could tell from just the sounds. Although, maybe her ears weren't as well trained as she expected or she was beginning to adapt to her eyesight. She had expected the child Koko to be only a couple hundred feet away at most. "P-Perhaps I was mistaken." The girl would admit. "This is
  3. So quickly did the group move that Firefly couldn’t keep up. It was only then that she understood that the limit of turns was three, which Morningstar had already breached with his last turn. Kali made her final turn as well, leaving Wulfrin and herself as the only remaining participants. “Oh, the cups are looking pretty heavy on my side. That actually seems like a bad thing tho…” The un-blinded girl will mutter as she scoops out the big chunk of crystals on her side and starts placing them one by one. While in the middle of her turn she would overhear Kali and Morningstar’s conversation
  4. Firefly was happy to see enthusiasm from a fellow low ranked player. With a smile, she would gesture for them to follow her outside the city. The walk was relatively easy but a bit long before they hit the edge of the safe zone. Her HUD would update to show she was no longer in a safe area. This didn’t necessarily mean they were in trouble though. Enemies could be easily evaded if one didn’t feel the desire to fight. “If you don’t wanna get caught out by a monster just keep a good distance from them while we search around.” They probably already knew that but better safe than sorry. “If a
  5. The invite was all Firefly needed to brave herself up to the newest floors. Many people had warned her about the dangers of trying to travel to the upper floors without the experience gained within the game but seeing Kali up there assured her that it should be safe. The two of them were relatively close in level. SFF: I need to see this! SFF: I’ll be there as soon as possible! As soon as possible being practically seconds. She was there in a blur and through the small crowd she would spy her guild mates. Sitting around a low set table with a group that they were transferring cont
  6. The girl smiled at the exchanging of names. Their’s sounded very eastern, though many of the people she’d met who had shared their names, or just their game handles in general, had sounded eastern asian. “Great to meet you Izumi.” With a short walk ahead of them, Firefly would exchange some small talk. “The guild I mentioned let me know that this was a very beginner friendly quest. It’s supposed to teach you the simple make up of the game.” She’ll explain. Not too soon after, the duo would find themselves in Zachariah’s shop. He would be rather busy, but let them know that if they brought
  7. “Let's go. No time to waste.” Firefly would nod and follow his lead. She had assumed he knew the way to the cave since he seemed to know the details of this family. Koko seemed to get caught up in antics like this more times than not. The inside of the cave was a familiar situation to her, they hadn’t even gotten inside before she’d pick up a lengthy stick to use so she didn’t bump into a wall. All she could see was her feet through the darkness, even Star was just a blob of familiarness in darkness. Even with her vision restored, Firefly had keen listening skill. “Here!” A whisper t
  8. Firefly would be studying her ring-bound notebook as the other player approached her. To mind her manners, she would retreat the item back to her typical hammer-space. Being able to notice someone before they approached her was a boon here in Aincrad. "Oh, hello!" She'll offer a soft smile to them. "I'm looking for Zackariah as well! The guild I joined gave me a lot of information about these early quests so I know where we can find him." She opens her menu and takes note of their username. Not much sooner, after a small bit of struggling with the technology, he would receive a notice that she
  9. Now that Firefly had met other players and joined a guild she was beginning to understand the beauty of what video games had to offer. Being able to socialize and meet friends she probably would have never had the chance to, seeing the wonders of a world that could not be seen in the real world not just because of her condition. Needless to say, she was hooked to Aincrad despite the problem the people of this world faced. The Town of Beginnings was her eye-pleasing scenery for the day. She’d seen plenty of the town and not the floor itself. People had told her that Aincrad was something o
  10. The two would make their way through Urbus without much guff thanks to Star’s wonderful navigation. He would offer her some notable landmarks that she would put into her notebook with a small note to each one explaining what they could be used for. It was about then that she’d noticed that her first notebook was beginning to fill up so much that it was soon time to get a new one. “Looks like Firefly’s Adventures is going to need a volume two soon.” She would jest. Once she’d made her notes, the book would disappear back into her inventory. Prefect timing as they would soon be approaching
  11. Firefly was certainly out of her element here. She didn’t really have much context for gaming and what is meant for guild members to accomplish. Though when she had realized who was coming into the meeting she would relax, letting out a quiet sigh of relief. Everyone here seemed nice, but seeing Wulfrin and Bistro actually set her anxiety down. “I also have a forge on Floor 22 and will hopefully be setting up a smaller operation here for guild mates to stop by and get gear made at no cost." Firefly would perk up and remove the massive sword from her back, still in its scabbard of cou
  12. Clearly her words resonated with Morningstar. Words were a majority of her life so seeing people understand them meant a lot to her. People never had to be interested in her mundane desire to simply see the world but he truly seemed to care when she spoke about it. She would nod in approval to his comment and follow him up to the teleportation terminal. Urbus was their next location, another location she hasn’t been to yet. Her excitement was reaching maximum level. Morningstar would go first making sure that she knew where they would be heading before he was whisked away. Firefly would o
  13. Firefly would inspect the journal being incapable of knowing what the symbolism could mean. If there was one way to get her interested in something it was to show her a thing she’s never seen before, not a hard thing to accomplish. “I look forward to hearing about your stories then, when the time presents itself. You seem like a person who has experienced and seen many things that others haven’t. I… envy that.” Firefly will admit. “I want to see the beauties and glooms of what this world has to offer. Misty mountain tops; abundant, verdant groves; damp, dark caves; blizzard-bound frozen lakes.
  14. A sigh of relief escapes the young girl. Knowing that someone would be watching over and guiding her through her first combat experience was a huge weight off her shoulders. Reading books about swordplay and fighting styles once before she’d even entered Sword Art Online would not be enough to prepare her. “I put you in my care then. I’ll do my best not to worry you.” She says with a warm smile. Morningstar would explain his small hobby of writing at her question. Only doing it to document his thoughts. It was an interesting thought considering she did practically the same thing but perha
  15. Firefly would arrive at the guild hall five minutes early to the agreed meeting time Morningstar had given her. It wasn’t apparent but she could tell that he was a much more experienced and high level player than her. The first clue being his gear, very obvious. The second regarded running a guild, she imagined that even if he wasn’t experienced by the game’s technicality of levels, he definitely had good experience with people and communication. As she approached, her footsteps not really making her the stealthiest of the guild members, she noticed him scribbling away in a notebook. He w
