Ares couldn't help but laugh as soon as the window popped up, his breathing still irregular as his lungs begged for air. That had been easy but that fact was only due to Wulfrin he had done everything, he had carried them and practically gave them all those sweet sweet experience points for free, he had only been able to deal the great amount of 3 damage to the boss, it was only fitting for the high-level player to get all the available loot, he was no scammer and had his own pride, pride that took off the picture him fighting for any of the loot. Ares saved his mace on the inventory and look

Ares saw how the HP bar of Terra-Firma went down to its yellow end and couldn't help but swallow his own spit, it had all been Wulfrin, he had hit it TWICE and each time he had done that, the shark had lost so much HP his head couldn't even wrap around it, that was a high level player and he was doing that with them, no, sorry, for them. Ares was terribly grateful for the oportunity life had just put in front of him, he had barely damaged the shark when it was stunned and now? now he could only thank all existing gods for the boss to not catch aggro on him, that would be the last seal before h

He was very happy to know that his choice had been a good one as of development, if tanks were needed in the frontlines he'd do the best he could to reach there as soon as possible, even better now that wulfrin had offered a good set of armor for him, he loved his initial armor it had helped him a lot fighting the boars of the first floor, but he needed a better one, a shield and a better mace, but first, he needed to get out alive, wulfrin had said that the boss was nothing worth to be killed for, for him it was, Ares wanted to fight through everything he had to in order to reach the top of t

Well, at least it seemed like Wulfrin was a good guy, that was a weight off his chest, the enemy they'd be attacking sounded like bad news tho, specially when he hadn't really used his sword arts ever before. Ares sighed as he sat down and took a cupcake of the ones Wulfrin had offered, it was pretty good. If he had the time he'd visit the bakery he was talking about, when the man stopped explaining the plan he had no questions to ask, to be honest he had covered most of the things he hadn't even thought about Ares took the teleporting crystal he was being offered and saved it in his inve

So that was the fifth floor uh? Ares had just teleported in the sandy town and he was not one to comment about the places he visited when roaming Aincrad, especially after having just been to a dock with low maintenance. Ares yawned as he took the guide of the beta testers from his inventory to check it out once last time, if he was not mistaken he'd have to do the Sharkbait training mission and for that he needed to talk with some guy named Abdullah who could be found in his own residence, well, it was his time to look for the guy and start the mission, maybe even get someone to do the missio

So now it was going back to the main square of the town, Ares walked around the streets, passing by the market he could hear the sound of the heavy hammer hitting the hot steel, maybe that was the last round Lyle needed to finish the sword he had been working on while he had visited. Maybe he had already finished and had taken on the next project, he wished he could just do that, not having problems going from one task to another, he was even surprised he had been able to go back and forth from one point of the town to the other without losing himself in a crowd or something of the like, Ares

"Yeah, it's a good catch" Said Ares as he handed over the hull to the fisherman, who just extended his hand and shook his head "Nay lad, take the treasure" He said, Ares looked at the objects on his arms and then at the man "Why?" With Zackariah he had gone looking for materials and he could understand being rewarded for it, with Lyle he had fought for the tusks with the weapon he had given him, even then he had earned said weapon as a trade for the tusks, what he could not understand was why would the fisherman just hand over the treasure he himself had caught to him, he was just a

"Is this what you wanted me to take out?" He asked the fisherman as he looked back at the chest, it was a treasure chest alright, just maybe not as clean as he'd have expected one of those to be. The wood was pretty much rotten and more than one barnacle had made it's home in the chest's surface, the fisherman just smiled, he was missing some teeth. Maybe the reason was the same more than one of the remaining ones were as black as the night back home. That was bad, the man needed to visit a dentist soon, that was, if dentists did exist in the digital floating castle "Aye lad, 'tis just wh

He was no Sailor, that was something he didn't even doubt, he was more of a mountain guy, his father had taken him on hunting trips more times than he could count. More than those he had gone as a journeyman to harvest the olives back at home, he had also been to France once to help his father and some of his friends in the vintage up north, that had earned him quite some money he was still yet to spend on its totality, although knowing himself he'd only spend it in books or something, maybe even some months on the gym Maybe if he hadn't been born in a land locked town, he'd have done som

Ares let out a sigh as he looked at the man "Then you must know that you have loaned some money from the mayor Dorian" Said Ares as he looked at the fisherman as he scavenged for gold on the mines in his face, the man nodded "Well, he wants you to pay him back" Pete didn't take more than a second before losing a deep belly- laugh "Yer tellin' me Mayor Dorian's taken to sending players to do his dirty work? Fine, fine, he’ll get his money, as soon as ye help me finish pulling it out of the drink!” Great, another old man who wanted him to do something he had never done before, but at l

Now he was there once again, in the streets of the town of beginnings and looking for an NPC he didn't even know where he was. Ares sighed, the blacksmith had given him little to no clue, at least he knew that Pete was a fisherman. That left another question to answer. Where would he find a fisherman in a town as big as the one he was in. His mind lit up with a light bulb as he thought of the answer, docks, if he wanted to find a fisherman a dock was the place he had to go to find him. Good, now, Where were they? Well, it wasn't that hard to find out, he just had to find a kind enough NPC

Ares went back into the town, he had done what the smith had told him to. He better give him what was owed to the mayor, he didn't have anything else to do, so he wasn't in a hurry on that aspect. He did want to keep doing missions so he could level up as fast as possible to go to the front lines, there was people fighting to get out of the death game, the least thing he could do was to hurry up and do the same. Ares clenched his teeth as he looked at the mace in his hand, the smith had been kind enough to give him the weapon he needed to fight against the boars, even if it was him who had sen

Turn 3 Ares-49789 Turn Ares clenched his teeth when the attack connected against his side, he had been careless once again, thanks to his armor it had barely done any damage, but it had still hurt and he was pissed, that beast had managed to land a good hit against him and he was not in the mood to let it go unscathed, not that he was planning to do so, after all, he was there to kill three boarlets and that one was the last one he needed to get back to the blacksmith and finally finish his mission, it really was feeling as if he had been doing it for days. Ares cleared his throat an

Turn 2 Ares-49789 Turn Good, he had managEn Recovery 18+1->19 Post Action: Basic attack vs boarlet: -1EN Free Action: Noneed to hit the boarlet, and not only that, he had dodged its attack, barely but it was still a dodge, his eyes lit up as he prepared himself mentally for the next assault, he would be able to finish it all with one more swing if he was able to hit it in a good spot. At least that's what he thought, because the information gathered from the previous encounters hadn't really been too perfect, it had been more like things he had noticed. Ares looked into the be

Turn 1 Ares-49789 Turn Ares was not someone to dream big, since he was a little boy he had idealized three different people, the first one, his big brother, he had been the son of his father's first marriage and had gone to work at Japan, he had been the one to get him the Nerve gear for his birthday and the same one who introduced him to SAO and most importantly taught him how to teach, second one was his father. His father was relentless, no matter how many setbacks live shot at him he always kept pushing forward trying to make the best out of everything he had, he was a carpenter

After Ares saw the light spectacle that notified him of his success in killing the boarlet, the young man sighed as he felt the mace on his hand, his grasp still very rigid around the handle. He wanted to go back home, was it really necessary to go there by risking his own live once and again so that he could finish this death game? No, it wasn't necessary, but when he got home to his siblings, he wanted to tell them everything about that place, about the beautiful plains in the first floor, the dangerous monsters and the people he was meeting, how much did the NPCs looked and acted like real

Turn 4 Ares-49789 Turn As the mace buried itself into the boar Ares was expecting it to just disappear like the previous one had done, but, instead he was met with the beast's HP bar shining red, just as red as its eyes. Ares smiled as he sidestepped the next attack of the boarlet, a sound sigh coming out as he was out of reach of the beast for a few seconds, just enough to catch his breath once again, Ares smiled, his teeth clenched together as he closed his grasp around the mace's handle. Fire roared in his eyes and muscles as he finally let the heavy mace go down onto the boar, ai

Turn 3 Ares-49789 Turn Good, no, not good, great, he had not only managed to deal some damage to the boar, but had even gotten himself out of trouble by making the boar step on itself, Ares was glad he had gotten his vengeance on the boar, but still he had to keep a cool head, he was getting tired, maybe fighting was not for him... No, What was he thinking about? He was made for fighting, if he hadn't been then god wouldn't have gotten him into so much trouble for doing so and still give him the option to fight. Fighting had been something too present on Ares's life, specially when h

Turn 2 Ares-49789 Turn That was exactly why all those people died to those boars, they got careless and got to pay for that mistake, just like he had done. He had hurried himself and made himself miss the hit against the boarlet, but not only that, he had left himself exposed and had almost been hit by the damn beast, he hadn't needed his armor to block the hit, but it was still a mess. Breathe Ares, breathe in, breathe out. Now his mind was clearer, he just needed to take his time, slow but steady, ready to hit the beast again, fast but precise, hard but explosive. Ares drew his mac

Turn 1 Ares-49789 Turn The second boarlet he had to face, the first one had only taken him two hits of his mace, Ares wondered if this one would also take so little time or he'd mess up and end up like many many of those that became the number of death newbies to die under the boars tusks. Ares closed his eyes for a second and opened them, looking directly at the solitary boarlet, his heart was pumping blood all over his body and the adrenaline was already kicking in, making his blood boil as it had never done before. Ares clenched his teeth and looked at those red eyes. He'd dream w

Ares looked wide-eyed as he saw the particles of light float towards the sky as the thing that had been a boar disappeared. A system window appeared in front of him notifying him that he had been able to defeat the boarlet and had received a set of tusks, that meant that he had finished one of the three boars he had to get before going back to the blacksmith's shop to get his prize, The young man sit in the ground and closed his eyes, it would be just a minute ... After being kind of out for at least fifteen minutes, Ares got up from the grass, his face still marked by the folds of h

Turn 2 Ares-49789 Turn Ares's lungs begged for air, the boarlet's attack had taken all of it out of them and Ares was sure his armor had saved him from a pretty heavy blow, he swallowed his own spit as his eyes landed on the beast's eyes, they were red and full of hatred, and he for one, didn't like that. A person with a weaker spirit would have felt fear in the deepest part of themselves but he was not that person, at least that's what he told himself, because he had one single goal in mind. Make it back alive to his home, and that path led to only one direction, through the monster

Turn 1 Ares-49789 Turn Ares looked at the single boarlet as he approached it slowly, his heart beating with each step he took towards the monster, it looked cute. Harmless even, but he knew of the reputation those things held, they were the ultimate noob killers, the ones with the most kills to their names and the worst nightmare of many. He clenched his fist against the mace as he prepared himself mentally for the strike, he needed to take advantage of the surprise factor, deal as much damage as he could in a single swing. He was really glad he had taken the mace as his first weapon

He, for one, didn't want to go back into the blacksmith's shop and risk being kicked out again. So, it was better to just go do whatever he had sent him to do, at least his UI had taken it as an acceptance to the quest, because now there was a window telling him to sleep or defeat three boarlets. Lightning went through his spine as he started walking back to the wild parts of the floor, yeah, he had to fight and defeat 3 boarlets, because he wasn't just going to stay there and let them sleep, nop, he'd fight his way out of Aincrad and that included making sure those pesky boars didn't kill any
