  1. Morrígan smiled as Acanthus mentioned their focus on bears as a companion and workforce, before talking about Kumaki being in the armed forces, or assisting police with their daily duties. She had to agree that she couldn’t imagine the bear cub providing much in the way of assistance to any combative focused profession, however she shook her head before making a commentary of her own. ’I would harbour agreement with you wherein that Kumaki likely would be ill-fitted towards active duty as a combat specialised animal…however she could, perhaps, have a lucrative career within a performance art –
  2. Morrígan paused for a moment as she seemed to consider Acanthus’s question. She’d never considered the application in the real world, and yet the confusion had brought a measure of curiosity and consideration to Morrígan’s mind. She smiled once she had thought about the situation for a few seconds, the answer coming almost naturally once she did finally speak. ’Well, in the real world one would consider something along the lines of…police dogs, military horses…perhaps even feline creatures to be a professional animal, would they not? Perhaps it’s not as customary or common among most ind
  3. Acanthus had dashed off the moment that Morrígan had pointed out the area that Phantom was showing an interest in, leaving the redheaded woman to stare after her in a mixture of surprise, humour, and a small measure of understanding. She followed along slowly, making her way across the rougher landscape with an ease that came almost naturally to her step. There was no rush to catch up with the other player; Morrígan wouldn’t provide any benefit by dashing into the unknown alongside her newfound companion and acquaintance. Acquaintance? She feels like she should be something…more. Perhaps
  4. Morrígan glanced up at the sky at the question, clearly having to consider it more deeply than a simple answer could provide. Her initial reacted was to simply deny the idea that the raven had any odd or inexplicable habitual actions, and yet Morrígan felt that would be doing a disservice to Phantom, as well as Acanthus in the moment. Her mind rushed through the various behaviours of her companion, before settling upon an answer that she felt would be acceptable, and appeasing to all parties. ’She does not partake in any behaviours such as collecting rocks. Perhaps the odd shiny item tha
  5. He’d given her a simple goodbye, before turning and making his way through the crowd. Morrígan had been certain that there would be something more, and although she’d quickly accepted the friend request that the blonde had sent, she hadn’t felt that their meeting had come to a conclusion. Somehow, she knew that they would likely meet again. At least, she hoped that they would meet once more. ’He’s a very polite, albeit quiet man. Altruistic, I would almost deign towards him. It would be a shame not to have his acquaintance once more.’ She smiled at the retreating figure, the blonde hair s
  6. ’Do not be sorrowful in your request for assistance. It is better to work as one team, rather than an individual, in these instances. How often do you see individuals charging forth into the depths of a dungeon, compared to parties and groups?’ Morrígan gave a soft wave of her hand in response to Acanthus’ attempt to apologise for the fact that she’d essentially transitioned their focus. Morrígan failed to mention, however, that she was confident in Phantom’s completion of the training itself – a fact proven as the raven circled above in search for the fluffy friend that Acanthus was desperate
  7. A twitch of her heels, and a small frown were the only signals that Morrígan gave of acknowledgement towards the blonde’s joke. She’d almost fallen for it, before something in his pause made her aware of the fact that he was likely joking, and that there would be another means of escaping the castle. It didn’t take long before he tossed the crystal towards her, explaining how Coral was the closest settlement in the area. ’No, there isn’t anywhere further that I would travel to for the time. It certainly was a pleasure to…well, to watch you wither away at the witch while I stayed alive.’
  8. Anything that Morrígan may have wanted to say was swept away as Acanthus suddenly became frantic about her companion’s lack of appearance. Morrígan signalled into the air, calling Phantom from the sky. The raven descended quickly, landing upon Morrígan’s shoulder before ruffling into place. ’Kumaki has disappeared. Would you do us a kindly favour and look for any sign of the bear in the skies above? If you spot her, give a call and dive towards her once we’ve responded.’ Morrígan spoke quickly, trying to convey a sense of urgency into the raven’s mind. Not that she do such a thing, the fo
  9. Morrígan blinked as the man, once frozen in place by an effect that Morrígan hoped never to have to experience herself, suddenly rushed forwards and slammed his blade through the witch. The creature seemed to shimmer for a second, before oozing into a pool of green sludge at the blonde’s feet, leaving the pair of them alone and – for the moment, at least – in relative safety. Not that Morrígan considered anywhere beyond the walls of a town as safe, and even within there were dangers present, if one wasn’t careful. ’Alive, certainly. Well…let’s just say that is subjective to the situation
  10. She’d asked the question in a rhetorical manner, not expecting to hear anything more than a simple agreement or disagreement to her obviously feigned questioning. A mistake she had made in assumption, when she realised the type of person she’d posed it towards. His answer took time, the words taking on a cadence of determination of will, whether that was intended or accidental in nature. Morrígan found herself listening raptly as he explained his own insight into the situation, the impact not upon those they helped or failed to help, but rather upon themselves. It was intriguing, and more impo
  11. A single slip, that was all it would take for her to overcome the bandit and find the final strike that would allow her to slip past the defences of the bandit. Morrígan knew that she was cutting it close, the whistle of the bandit’s blade over her head was the only reminder she needed of just how close she was to losing her life. Steel slammed into steel, the impact driving vibrations up her arm that left her feeling more than a moment of concern. This one is much stronger than the others. Much more dangerous. Come on…come on I can defeat him! The words were almost a plea in her mind, a
  12. Abrasiveness had cost her, and as Morrígan stepped back from the pair of bandits before her, she knew suddenly that the simple fight was quickly going to become anything but that. She’d seen the flash as her own health had quickly depleted, both of her opponents still standing before her – although she could see that at least one of them was almost at a point where it could be put down permanently. At least, assuming Morrígan didn’t somehow trip and stumble her way into a quick grave and early ending. I’m okay. Just focus on breathing and keeping yourself alive, and you’ll be okay. Just n
  13. Morrígan moved the instant she saw a twitch from one of the two bandit guards, launching forward and bringing her halberd around in a strong swiping motion that caught the left most bandit by surprise, slamming into his side and cutting deeply into his chest. At the same time, the second individual moved to intercept the opening that Morrígan had left, and she found herself dropping the halberd’s haft and slamming the shield directly into the side of the bandit’s face, forcing it to snap backwards and paralysing the individual at the same time. She quickly collected her halberd before ret
  14. Her thoughts were interrupted as the door on their left slammed open, a pair of bandit guards rushing in with weapons drawn and a determination to their step that informed Morrígan that they were the response to their sudden jail break. She had just enough time to grab her halberd and force herself to her feet before the pair noticed her, turning to circle even as she gave Kagamine a soft push to force him to his feet. ’This is going to be dangerous. You head back down the stairs a bit, keep an eye out and make sure no other guards are coming up behind us. Think you can do that?’ She spok
