Three of the four boars slammed into the tip of the halberd, their bodies dissecting themselves as they sheared apart against the point and axe blade that awaited their arrival. Through pure luck, or a last minute decision to spare itself the easy death that met the companions, one of the boars veered off to the side at the last second – avoiding Morrígan and her halberd entirely, before sliding to a stop a small distance behind her and turning to orient itself. She turned to face the thing, bringing the shield up even as it tried to charge her, slamming it into the thing’s face and drivi -

The boars came at her individually, each one rushing forwards only after the one beside it had moved. Morrígan braced herself, letting the halberd fall into an angled position as she prepared to meet the group of them. The sudden appeared of blade before tusk didn’t seem to phase the charging creature’s at all, and Morrígan carefully shifted with each impact as the boars impaled themselves against her spear tip. The force of their arrival caused her to slide backwards with each brutal meeting, although she was proud to state that she never faltered in her stance. Once the final creature h -

The very first attempt to find something useful turned out to be a great success, and Morrígan smiled to herself as she realised that Phantom may have been correct in her desire to remain beyond the walls for a time. Morrígan knew that she could use all the extra materials she could find, even if the real reason behind Phantom’s desires and request was simply to remain free a bit longer. Morrígan was well aware that she should, at the very least, take advantage of the opportunity and find as much as she could in order to prepare for the future. It may be beneficial to work on fighting thi -

Morrigan replied to Morningstar's topic in Intermediate Floors
Morrígan blinked at the words, the man appeared entirely dissociated with reality; a fact that came across in his entire demeanor. He was a player, that was certain, and one of higher level if his appearance meant anything. There was a measure of assurance and confidence to him, as well, that made Morrígan pause in her response. Anything that disrupted a higher level player was certainly concerning to someone below them, and she found herself glancing around in concern for a moment, a small tinge of fear flashing across her face before she managed to get it under control. ’The…Witch of t -

Returning compass and proof of her find had been far less eventful than Morrígan could’ve expected. The druidic woman seemed impressed, at first, before taking time to explain that she needed to continue practicing and achieving greatness with her newfound skill. The monologue was, as one would expect, a bit dry considering its generality and clear preparedness prior to its provision. Still, Morrígan had waited politely as the NPC spoke, her hands clasped in front of her to keep from interrupting the words that were falling on ears that became deafer as the seconds ticked by. Once she had -

Her foot had stumbled into something as she’d continued walking along, a feeling that would have resembled pain in the real world, which quickly subsided as the system’s neutralisers kicked in. Morrígan glanced down, almost laughing as she realised that the compass was spinning in a hectic circle as it seemed to become possessed by an inane nature beyond Morrígan’s understanding or vision. Mere seconds later, Phantom had landed among the rocks before her, a shadow against the glossy black that stood out from the green and brown that surrounded the area. ’The shards.’ The rocks shared a s -

She’d fallen into her thoughts more than her search, and with a shake of her head Morrígan forced herself back into the reality around her. She’d come to a stop – thankfully – as she’d tried to remember everything that she’d been taught about foraging, and the shards specifically. It hadn’t helped her in the moment to find anything of value, though, and although her eyes had been roaming the area, she came to realise she hadn’t actually seen anything of the areas that she had passed over and by. A heavy sigh, and she had turned back to retrace her steps and search through the grounds once -

Morrígan glanced down at the compass that had been provided to her, noticing as it shifted slightly to the right. She adjusted her path in accordance, knowing that she needed to follow it as exact as she could. The item had been provided by Giovanna, and although she had been informed that it would lead her towards the demonic shard itself, Morrígan wasn’t so trusting as to think that it would land her right on top of the thing that she needed to find. She doubted, in fact, that it would do anything more than provide her a path towards a general area; one which would then require her to put th -

Morrígan blinked twice, slowly, as she took in the conversation. The knightess before her was talkative, if nothing else. There was certainly an edge of apprehension to her behaviour and demeanor, and yet Morrígan could sense something else beneath it; a strength, if one was embellishing the imagery. ’I wouldn’t say…Kumaki, was it? I wouldn’t say Kumaki is any less intelligent. Perhaps more inquisitive and exuberant, but intellect is required to response to a command and summon. As measure of it, at least.’ Morrígan turned to stare at the cub, seated beside the other player in a manner th -

She’d been told about the beauty that was the twenty-second floor, but as Morrígan had wandered along path and walkway, she’d come to realise that she hadn’t quite understood the descriptions being given. The woodlands, lakes and mountains reminded her of her family vacation home – a beautiful cabin kept away in the woods of the Rocky Mountains. The entire floor felt both familiar, and entirely foreign to her as she passed tree after tree, river and lake. ’It is nice here, though. One could almost get lost in the beauty and tranquility of it all if they weren’t cautious.’ She glanced up i -
Morrígan was late. She’d spent far too much time enjoying the comfort of the restaurant she’d chosen for lunch that day, the quieter and slower atmosphere that washed over the entire eatery. The food had been, in Morrígan’s opinion, more enjoyable and delectable than anything else she’d found throughout the floor. ’Damn, damn, damn. I was supposed to meet the broker twenty minutes ago. I should not have-‘ She stopped herself from continuing the line of thought as she pushed through another side street, her feet bringing her around the edge of a wagon that had come to a stop. Her hurried f

Morrígan was quickly swept up into a lesson on the various forms and techniques used for gathering a variety of natural substances that could be used in the various crafts and creations she had planned. The woman, whose name Morrígan had learnt part way into her lesson, had inquired about her plans and desires, focusing the lessons more appropriately towards what Morrígan would need, rather than a general overview. Morrígan kept her focus enraptured upon each and every word, movement and description that Giovanna gave, her interest piqued only enough to keep her aware of the information she wo -

Camp was certainly an impassioned way of describing the scene that Morrígan had found tucked towards a small outcropping of rocks and hills. A single carriage sat nestled beside a firepit that had clearly been alight until recently, smoke still drifting from the burning embers that remained. A rickety chair sat between carriage and pit, a woman seated within its arms that could only be described as druidic in appearance. Long blonde hair covered a calm face that stared into the fire without worry or any real attentiveness towards the world around her. It confirmed to Morrígan that the person b -

The world returned to normality as Morrígan reappeared on the first floor’s teleporter pad. She still hadn’t gotten entirely used to the feeling that transitioning between floors left. It was instantaneous, painless, and yet it somehow left her feeling disoriented upon completion; as if her mind was still trying to connect her to the new reality before her. It was an oddness that caused nothing more than some mental discomfort, and yet Morrígan knew that if there was the option of traversing between floors in a quick manner, she might consider it. ’Time to head into the field and find th -

’Today we’re going to complete the foraging profession quest. It’s similar to the tailor quest, but I think we’ll be in for a bit of longer experience. Everything I’ve heard about it states that it requires the actual searching for materials, which means we can’t shortcut and loot every creature in sight.’ She sipped from the teacup before her, the small breakfast of eggs, toast and bacon sitting to the side slightly as she savoured the tea. ’It would seem that we’re required to meet with the foraging master first, and then we’ll be tasked with finding a…demonic shard. An item that we’ll be co -
Earning a Living: Forager Morrígan groaned as she rolled over in her bed, trying to pull the blanket up over her head in an attempt to shut out the world. The caws of Phantom had pulled her from her slumber, and although Morrígan had promised to change her habits she wanted nothing more than to return to her short sleep. At least I was able to recreate the shop into something more…comfortable. It was the one blessing that Morrígan had found in the store’s existence; the ability to create a small living apartment in its rear. It had once contained a storage room, and Morrígan was cert

The Morrígu Mere steps from the main teleporter pad within Yomi, The Morrígu shines among an otherwise dark avenue. Twin lanterns upon its exterior highlight the entryway, their symbolism carried into the store's interior through matching lines that run from entryway to rear sewing room. Although the storefront upholds a standard Japanese styled appearance, the interior takes much of its presentation from a mixture of western, eastern and associated foundations of design. Upon entering, potential customers are met with an open concept which houses displayed items towards the front,

The blundering form of a ball of fur sped into sight, it’s movement entirely focused on propelling itself forward as it attempted to escape whatever came behind it. Morrígan heard the call of another person only seconds after the creature had appeared; the voice carried a measure of concern in it as it called for the giant lumbering ball to halt – a change that it seemed reluctant to accept. Morrígan found herself rooted in place as it barrelled past her and slammed directly into a tree. Astounded by everything that had just occurred, she found herself oddly belated in acknowledging the -
Training Your Friend A soft breeze whipped around Morrígan. Gentle against her skin, it pulled at fabric and memory alike as she stared into the distance skies, watching as Phantom soared along the warmer winds high above; her form still large even from the distance that divided them. Morrígan had chosen today to follow up on the final aspects of training her familiar and companion; a quest that she had noticed upon completion of her companionship with the raven. She’d seen the value in it immediately – providing Phantom with the singular skill that would take them from simple friend, to

They’d traversed a large section of the city, finding little in the way of others. Glimpses of movement in the distance had caught Morrígan’s eye more than once, but whenever she looked she saw nothing but empty street ahead of her. Peaking into buildings had given little else, with most areas clearly long abandoned. Life was not a measure to be found on the floor, and although it carried an aspect of horror and terror to it, Morrígan found herself enjoying the quiet that settled over everything. ’It’s not lively, but that means no competition, right? Although the atmosphere of the floor -

Light shimmered around her as Morrígan reappeared into existence, stepping down from the platform and shaking her head. She’d spent very little time in the Dwarven city before making her way back to the teleporter, her decision made as she’d investigated the very first trio of streets within the city limits. ’Well, that’s definitely not for us. Did you see some of the outfits people where wearing there? I’m not normally one to judge others tastes so viciously, but some of those were…atrocious. I mean, pink and green and blue flowing into an odd salmon drop…it’s enough to cause eye pain. -

’This one is an entire cavern city, that would have the dark aspect.’ Morrígan pointed to the description of the floor, letting Phantom take it in as she considered the area she’d pointed at. The twenty-first floor would meet the darker atmosphere requirement that she’d decided upon, but everything she knew of it seemed to dissuade her. In fact, she could list off at least two tailors’ she’d attended on that floor alone, meaning that the levels of competition were likely high there. ’That, and it’s filled with Dwarves. The themes and aesthetics would be a bit more aligned with rough and hewn i
