[PP-F11] Losing Touch

Recommended Posts

The boy found himself standing in the great Cathedral in Taft. Just a few days earlier, the place was lined with Azure Banners and wedding decorations, filled to the brim with the one event no one in all of Aincrad could have predicted a short while ago: The marriage of the Invincible Tank and known Womanizer: Tristan Delaney. The bride of which the boy had met only a few times before, convinced she was just another time occupier for the ginger frontliner. Zelrius was of course wrong, and he wasn't sure what his stance was on this. He felt happy for Tristan and Flints, They had found each other and married. That meant something, and the golden haired boy was glad to see the two happy. But also, he felt like Tristan had now left him alone in the world, everyone else was either untrustworthy or gone. Despite Tristan's reassurance that he would still spend plenty of time with the both of them, The Hero wasn't convinced.

As of now, he decided to give it a try. He had invited Flints along to get to know her better, given she was now the wife of a Commandant, Zelrius felt it was only more necessary to truly meet her. So, he waiting on one of the steps leading up to the podium, staring at the stained glass dome of a ceiling, waiting for her.

Flints walked along the cathedral she had spent time in not to long ago, she gently thumbed the rings on her finger lost in thought, the fact that Zelrius had summoned her and just her was something she didn't expect. But she gladly went to meet him, she remembered glancing him a few times during the ceremony and party, he seemed off, although he smiled and seemed happy, when Tristan and him got together Zelrius fought him hard, she assumed it wasn't because he didn't want to party. No, it was something deeper, she didn't know the boy well enough to make these assumptions, for all she knew she could have just been trying to rationalize everyone's mood and actions like she usually did which wasn't fair to most.

The cathedral towered over her as she entered it and closed in on Zelrius, she spoke the closer she got to announce her arrival instead of sneaking up on him. The last thing she wanted to do was startle him. "Hello Zerius, how are you today?" She said in a calm, warm tone. She had to admit she was still very curious about him, her eyes met his during her greeting and she gave a small nod before looking up at the walls and high ceilings, smiling and taking in all that it was and stood for. "I think this place is very beautiful." She said as she focused on the stained glass Windows for a second before looking back to him.
