[PP-F4] On the Lamb

In retrospect, she could have cared less about the armor that she wore but it had reminded her of a video she once watched about female armor in most video games and how they were complaining about it being far to sexist. She couldn't deny that it was embarrassing to wear, but this was extremely comfortable that and the fact that it now kept her safe from most attacks of the little monsters on this floor now. That on top of the amount of level she had managed to climb through since she first met her first friends. Who knows, maybe the seasons would allow her to see them once again. Biting her lip she watched the arctic wolf that was now growling before her quite upset that it had not found someone who was a fair amount weaker then the prey he had this moment. She smirked at the beast despite the cloak and fluffy garb that she wore. "Come one you stupid wolf." She then performed a crack of her whip with a sword art. Both of them staring at one another till she used it, <<Whiplash>>. The Wolf first went for a lunge missing her completely growling as it turned back around to feel the stinging whip crack against it's face delivering a blow which caused it to sit their stunned by the stingy crack.

Manta was once again on her favorite of all the floors, the cold and snowy fourth floor. She smiled to herself as she walked across the frozen tundra without a plain goal in sight. Sometimes she just liked to enjoy the crisp clean air. In the distance ahead she saw a player fighting a mob. She couldn't see any details, just making out the color indicative of a sword art. She adjusted her pace, drawing closer to the player, close enough that she could see better, but far enough away that it was unlikely that she would be noticed.

Now that she was near enough to see the details, her eyes widened. It was a mix of a couple of things that caused the reaction, one of which was the armor that was pretty much just some sort of animal girl bikini. If it even was armor. She frowned momentarily, just wondering how the user must feel, fighting in the frozen tundra in nothing but the equivalent of a bikini. She couldn't help staring though. There was no one in the entire world who wouldn't think that the ensemble was cute. So no, she wasn't weird for eyeing up another girl.

She took a deep breath as she then looked back at the wolf, quickly she pulled up her menu and swapped out a piece of equipment allowing a white shield with the emblem of a lamb on it and a flag. The edges were fluffy though matching the outfit that she was wearing. It was obvious now that it was all part of the same creation for some odd reason. She then watched the wolf growl and lunge at her again. This time the wolf received a firm bash by the small round shield on her arm and then a loud crack snapped against it making it how out in pain as Erin grinned happy that she was still keeping it frightened of her. "This is one little lamb that the big bad wolf isn't gonna get." It was childish small talk and her attacks were weak to say the least as the health bar wasn't dropping all that quickly. She didn't think twice she now searched her surroundings to spy another player not to far away. She didn't get a good glimpse of her, had she she might have been a bit startled at the very least. This wasn't the way she wanted her friend to see her.

Manta couldn't help but raise her eyebrows as the player equipped a shield and bashed the wolf. That certainly looked like it would hurt. Manta was impressed. The girl could fight, had a great body, and an incredible fashion sense. Still, the fight was dragging on. Manta could help out, but then she wouldn't be able to gawk. This was starting to get a bit strange for her. She had never been one to notice other girls in this sort of way. Still, she couldn't help it, so she might as well go with it. She leaned back a bit and crossed her arms, getting comfortable.

As she began to bounce about in the snow she began to really get the hang of this whole fighting thing that was till the wolf leaped in the air biting onto the shoulder which had her shield. "Ahhhhh get off you stupid wolf!" She bucked like a dear would before collapsing with her full weight on the wolf. She felt it thrashing about her whipping up some snow as it continued to whine in pain. She felt it howling and whining as she began go cringe. "I'm not giving you a leg of lamb to eat you stupid think now let go of my shoulder." She twisted in the snow shivering a bit as she began to see the pixels of it's teeth biting and finally kicked it off of her again.

Manta was enjoying the show right up until the wolf leaped up onto the girl, biting into her arm. She waited for the cute girl to get the wolf off of her before sprinting in, her blade glowing dark red in contrast with the pure white snow as she powered up her strongest sword art. She stabbed forwards, swirling and jabbing and stabbing thirteen times total, knocking it back a good deal and causing it to burst into pixels. She turned back to the girl. "Heyo! Are you alright beauti- I mean..." She said, slipping up, still not recognizing Erin.

Laying in the snow Erin would breathe heavily before hearing the footsteps in the snow of the quick approaching girl and give a sigh as she saw her sword slash through the beast slaying it instantly. Collapsing back in the snow she took a deep breathe and just enjoy the fact that she hadn't had to worry about the wolf any more. Althoush she was a bit shocked by the voice as she heard what seemed to be a comment on her beauty from that of another girl no less. Her face lit up before pulling herself out of the snow, "Excuse me?" She said looking at her rescuer now.

Manta smiled, seeing that the girl was alright. The girl appeared to be relieved that she didn't have to deal with the mob anymore, leading Manta to wonder why she had been fighting it in the first place. The girl got up out of the snow, looking over at Manta. She looked vaguely familiar, like that girl Erin that she had helped out before on a quest. That couldn't be it though. Erin was shy, and she couldn't picture her wearing something like that. "Umm. I'm Manta, nice to meet you. I love your outfit, its the cutest." She said, complimenting the Erin lookalike. She knew that she would never have been able to pull something like that off.

Erin smiled before looking up at Manta and then as she recognized her began to feel her face begin to blush. "M-manta!" She shouted in complete shock now curling up with her arms and legs now covering up herself as she continued to lie in the snow freaking out. "N-no this wasn't at all how I wanted our reunion to look like. As she spoke her face quickly buried itself into her legs as she couldn't even think of what to do. Rummaging through her menu she was prepared to remove this armor and put back on the starting gear till she looked about the snow wonderland still seeing wolves about. "T-this is embarrassing ..."

Manta couldnt help syaring, even though she now recognized Erin. This was all wrong though. She didnt like girls like that, at least she hadnt thought so. Still, she had to admit, Erin definately looked cute in that outfit. She walked over to Erin, reaching a hand out to help her up out of the snow. "I dont know what your talking about Erin. That has to be the cutest outfit ive ever seen. You look beautiful in it." She said, blushing a little herself. "You are one of the most beautiful people in the world, you shouldnt be embarrassed about it."

As the compliments came in Erin's face only averted itself toward the snowy ground till she saw a hand come into view. Sh gladly took it and again began to cover herself up as she opened her inventory and hid herself so she would have be seen anymore. It was a nice warm cloak that was once warn by Zel someone who she thought quite fondly of as he was the person who bought everything for her. "T-thanks ... I am just going back to the town now and maybe rest up as I'm feeling a bit tired after all the arctic wolves I have fought." Stammering now as she began to hold the Azure commandant's cloak about her body. "I personally think that I just look stupid ... despite the fact that I'm getting use to it."

Manta felt terrible for Erin. She must have had some sort of terrible experience that had shattered her self confidence. Manta gave Erin a kind smile. "Erin, trust me when I say this, you could never look stupid. Anything you wear looks good." She replied to Erin. She would have taken off her coat and given it to her, but she was already pulling out a cloak. It looked vaguely familiar, but she wasnt paying much attention to it, more to the beautiful young lady underneath. "I can walk you back if youd like. There are a lot of mobs around here."

She felt so childish she was always being escorted first by Ebony, then Manta, Zel and finally Manta once again. She smiled and nodded. "Thanks Manta I would like that. I'm sure that h-" She stopped and shook off that though. "Nevermind but yeah I think that I'm back to full health and energy now. After all I'm still trying to become stronger remember." Smiling and nudging Manta ever so gently with her fingers on the cheek. She didn't mean to come across as such a flirt but it sorta happened when she talked with people. She slipped the whip back under the cloak before looking over to Manta. "Y-you really think that I look beautiful in this?" She couldn't help but think of the animes and all the fan service scenes when she thought about this armor.

Compared to Erin, Manta felt like she was wearing a baggy sweatshirt. And there was nothing baggy about her formfitting white leather breastplate. Manta's cheeks flushed pink as Erin traced a finger on one of them. It seemed like Erin was flirting, and Manta's hopea rise ever so slightly. Wait a second... What exactly was she hoping for? A relationship with another girl? That just wasnt something that people did, at least as far as she knew. "Erin, you could make anything look good, just by wearing it." She said flirting. She was going to go for it if she could. Who cared if it wasnt a socially acceptable thing.

"W-well thanks but I can't really be to blame for this outfit as I hadn't put any input in the creation of them," she then yawned and strolled forward as she saw another pack of wolves far to formidable for her to fight prowling about the snowy capped mountain. "Hmm lets just take the long way around them I guess." She said her own hand now holding onto Manta's as they continued froward through the snow. Erin now trudging through the snow in her pair of white ugg boots basically now wondering why Manta was out here. "If you don't mind me asking why were you out in the winter wonderland? Not that I'm not grateful ... seems like people are always saving my sorry hide." Frowning as she realized the sad truth about everything so far, she was a weak link to any group she met.

Manta smiled. "You still look amazing in it." She said. It looked like a whole group of wolves were hanging out right where they were headed, so they would have to take the long way around. Manta's eyes widened slightly as Erin's hand found it's way into Manta's. With a surprised yet happy smile she glanced over at Erin. Maybe she did have a chance. She looked back ahead by a force of will, her eyes drawn to Erin and her lamb armor. She paused momentarily when Erin asked what she had been doing, before speaking up. "I just needed some time to think so I was going for a stroll." After a split seconds hesitation she continued, believing that it would be rude to end on that note. "My fiancé has gone missing again. Hes been missing for a while now actually. He seems to like abandoning me. Besides that, the fire in our relationship burnt out not to long ago. I broke it off with him a day or two ago, at least, as best I could when I don't even know where he is." She frowned. She had sent him his ring back, and had felt terrible about it too. It just hadn't been working out though.

"Ahhh, I guess we all need time to think in this crazy world. That's as good as any reason why I came out onto the mountains," She fell completely silent though as she heard that Manta had someone special in her life. She thought of zel, but then pushed that aside what they had wasn't a relationship to be honest she wasn't sure what she could explain what they had. It was her feeling completely indebted to him for saving her life when she came up onto this mountain all by herself. It was a stupid plan trying to defeat an avalanche all on her own. It was more than that now though ... it was awkward between them she felt like she made him happy up till a few days ago and he began to seem harsher now. "I'm so sorry to hear that about you and your husband ..." She frowned and hung her head hoping to stop any awkwardness that was  brought up. Worse would be if she had to continue in silence.

Manta smiled at Erin. "It's not that big of a deal. Its been coming for a while... Im just a lot more lonely than Id expected." She gave Erin's hand a comforting squeeze, trying to keep it from becoming awkward. Now that she thought about it, maybe she had been into both men and woman, and just hadn't noticed it as she was with Sousuke. She didn't know, all she knew was how she felt then. And she definitely felt something for the beautiful young lady she was walking with. It might be a bit before she figured out what exactly she felt though. It was definitely a good feeling though.

As her hand was squeezed Erin blinked a bit confused as she seemed to think that this was suppose to be a sign to her from Manta, but for the life of her she couldn't tell what. "I-I didn't really think that you were the type to be honest to sit down get married maybe have kids ... err well not that you could have them in this game. Suppose that is one downside for having a relationship here. Can't feel the wonders of what it is like to experience all the wonders of marriage and birth." She smiled and looked up into the snow as it continued to fall down, she gently opened her mouth and then tried to catch a few flakes as the floated down, her childish demeanor forever apparent.

Manta raised an eyebrow. She was definitely the type who wanted to settle down and raise a family, just not so soon. She wasn't that old yet. What Erin said was definitely true though. You couldn't have kids in game, which made a lot of sense but was still a little disappointing. Still, there were some other things players could enjoy. She loked over at Erin who was catching snowflakes in her mouth. Manta couldn't believe how cute Erin was, both in her actions and her appearance. It was amazing that such cuteness could even exist, let along be right beside her. She didn't say anything though, not wanting to disturb the moment.
