Why do we use post count?

The thing is that we have received that solution multiple times but we cannot exclude one section from the post count

I googled around some for a solution for only counting posts for certain forums and this came up:

It was brought to our attention by Vashnik awhile back, but my answer was that I wanted all a players post to be accounted for not matter how big or small. Sure it upsets those who favor quality over quantity, I just wanted to see many diverse players and not cater or offend those who can never live up to the expectations of the "higher quality" players.
