[SP-F1] Weed Killer (Secret Medicine of the Forest) Complete

Wanting to do another quest I decided to look through the quest list and see what I could do. I wanted to do a quest that I could solo since I would be able to do it faster than with someone else. A Lowe level quest stood out to me it was called 'Secret Medicine of the Forest'. Reading into it further I saw that to complete the quest I had to find and kill a couple of a mob called Little Nepents and get a special medicine called Little Nepent's Ovule. It shouldn't be too difficult to do since I've gotten to be higher lvl and can do a lot more damage. After all it shouldn't be that hard to kill a bunch of little bulbasaurs.

The player must retrieve a medicine ingredient <<Little Nepent's Ovule>> indicated on the quest mob by a large blooming flower) from a rare variant of Little Nepent (a plant-type mob).

Requirements:

-At least two [2] Pages (21 or more posts)
- The three Little Nepents must be defeated

-Repeat completions will only yield <<Anneal Blade>>

Nepent Information:

<<Little Nepent>> is a mob and has the following statistics:
HP: 5
Damage per Attack: 3

Rewards:

1. Anneal Blade: An uncommon one handed straight sword with any standard weapon enhancement chosen by the earner of the weapon. Only one person may earn this weapon per thread.
2. 1 Skill Point

Recommended Level: 3

Going out into the forest where the Nepents were supposed to be. I heard it was a little difficult to find them sometimes since they often blend In with the plants around them. I was looking through the place and saw a few boar. They weren't what I was looking for so I kept going.  I saw a small bush like creature move and I chose to investigate. I read in the guidebook that I needed to kill a few of the normal Nepents to draw out and increase the spawn chance of the little Nepents that I needed to kill to get the medicine for the quest.

Unsheathing my blade I ran at the Nepent and swung Silverlight through the leafy exterior of the Nepent. A large cut appeared on it's skin and it let out a sharp squeak. It struck out at me with these long thorny vines and I failed to dodge it as the vines hit me in the side. This creature is much different than any I've seen in Aincrad before I didn't know why but I felt a bit of remorse hitting this pretty creature, but remembering it was a game I stood my ground and readied myself for another attack holding Silverlight at the ready.

The Neppent came at me swinging its vines and I was able to jump out of the way at the last moment. I laughed and swung at the plant but it moved out of the way just as I tried to hit it. I didn't know this guy was so good at evading my attacks. I readied my blade once more thinking to myself that I needed to lay waste to this Nepent and keep going. I waited for the plant to come at me and so I stood there Silverlight poised to block those vines and then strike.

It came at me again but this time I was ready. It swiped out with its vines but I had blocked it with my blade. I tried hitting it but yet again I missed. Getting a little frustrated I took a deep breath to calm myself down and focus. I need to stay focused if I'm going to be able to kill this plant. I guess being used to killing boar has made me have a harder time at killing other foes. I need to change tradegies if I want to get past this Nepents defenses.

I brought my blade back up and ran at the Nepent  I dodged the vines and sliced down hitting the plant and slicing through a lot of its leafy exterior  it let out a cry and its vines wraped back around and sliced my legs   I needed to be more careful that could've been real bad. I readied myself for another attack on the plant.

Swinging my blade back around and cutting hard through the blasted Nepent a red cut sliced through the body of the plant and it burst into pieces. It left behind a small little herb that I walked over and picked up. Adding it to my inventory I was quite happy that I had been able to kill that Nepent with such ease.

After killing the Nepent I waited a while for my energy to regen. I needed to take a little breather. It was pretty cool fighting a large plant. I hadn't fought many things here yet but I was going to fight a lot of different things in my time here. I decided to take the time out of combat to look for some materials that could help me out crafting wise so looked through the foliage and I tried to find something of use. However I wasn't having any luck.

Looking more through the underbrush and the area around me I was set on finding myself some materials. I didn't Know how long it would take to get a lot of materials headed my way but I definitly knew that in order to havve any luck with that and maintaining my crafting up I needed to look for materials. I was looking through some tall grass when a healing herb caught my eye. I leaned down and picked it up happily adding it to my inventory.

I decided to keep looking while my energy regenerated so Keeping my eyes peeled through the grass and shrups around me I kept searching. Unfortunatly I had no luck and couldn't find anything of use so I kept looking for some Nepents to fight to lure out the Varient Little Nepent that I neededto kill for my quest. I saw a group of four nearby and decided to go their way. I drew Silverlight and began to close the distance between me and the group of plantlike animals that were together.

As I came closer to the Nepents I raised my blade and struck out at them. I was caught up in a mass of vines and missed. I doubled my attempts to dodge their attacks but two of the vines connected with my back and did a bit of dmg. I weaved in and out of the vines trying to regain my footing to attack again. I poised Silverlight and readied myself for a blow that would kill these little plants. I took a deep breath and held my blade tightly.

I made my way once again through the mass of plants and vines attacking the Nepents. I soon got overwhelmed by the vines once again and had missed. I knew that I wasn't taking too much damage since I was able to dodge three of the four attacks that came my way, but that still didn't matter if I couldn't attack them myself. I took a deep breath centering myself and readying myself for another attack on these Nepents.

Missing once again I began to grow discouraged. I had ran in swinging my blade trying to cut through the mass of vines like a  machete cutting through a jungle but I made no impact on the group of Nepents. I was able to dodge some of the vines but was hit hard with two of the vines. Thankfully my armor took most of the blow. I stutter stepped backward trying to assess the situation. Every time I had gone at the Nepents with Silverlight they had simply overwhelmed me with their mass of vines. I soon realized that in order to do this right I would need to get past their defenses and attack before the vines had the chance to overcome me.

Taking a breath I jumped out at the Nepents and as their vines flung at me I was able to dodge two of them and found my way in front of the four of them and after dodging I raised Silverlight to my side and she took on a deep glow that made my heart squee. After hearing the familiar ringing sound of my fully charged blade I activated one of my stronger sword arts 'Farrant Full Moon' I flung myself in a spiral jumping in the air aand quickly formed three widershin circles. My blade hiting soft flesh twelve times not only made me feel powerful but it also gave me a sensation of exhaustment. I landed on the ground breathing heavily and held Silverlight close readying myself to block some incoming vines.

Taking a break from attacking to regenerate a little bit of energy I stood my ground and focused on blocking some of the vines that came my way. I was quickly hit by one in the back of my neck and that woke me up with a jolt. The first hit raising my alertness I was able to dodge out of the way of two more incoming attacks from the Nepents and my blade narrowly deflected the forth as I fell to my knees under the pressure of the attacks.

Falling to my knees I didn't have time to attack and I wanted my energy to regenerate more. I rolled on the ground once dodging a vine then I narrowly jumped out of the way of the second as the third struck out to hit my stomach. I slid out of the way of the third as well as I ducked under the attempt of the fourth vine. I began to laugh. I firmly planted my feet in the earth and held tightly to my blade looking at the best plan of attack to finish off these plants.

Narrowly missing the plants as I had struck out at them I was left open for multiple attacks from the Nepents. I was hit by the first and was sent running into the second one and took another hit. I was then struck once more when I finnaly regained my footing. I need to hit these stinking Nepents if I want to finish this quest. I took Silverlight close to my side and thought that using one of my aoe skills again could make quick work of them.  I took a breath preparing myself for another strike.

I was running up to them and began to charge up Silverlight for a killing blow but was unable to carry it out since I was quickly bombarded by vines. I was overwhelmed and missed however I luckily dodged all of the vines and readied myself for another attack. I find it very annoying how I have been missing so often. I need to hit them in order to have any progress. I had been fighting these blasted plants for far too long and was quickly getting fed up with my lack of accuracy.

After dodging multiple vines from the Nepents I raised Silverlight high and activated the sword art 'Fell Crescent'. As she began to glow a deep purple I swung it down hard forming a purple crescent moon in the air that sliced through all four of the Nepents reducing them to pieces I laughed as they faded away into the wind and my eyes found their way to four healing herbs and a small bag of col. I went down and picked them all up and added them to my inventory. It may have been a long battle but I had gotten quite a bit of loot for my troubles.

Taking the time to let my energy regen as well as my health I found my way to a little clearing and began to look for some materials. Maybe I could find some more healing herbs or something similar. Having no luck I kept looking, there has to be some sort of plant that I could use around here. I saw a patch of flowers and thought that it may be a good place to take a look. I made my way over to the flowers and sat down next to them. Looking through them I felt as if there had to be a flower that I could use
