History

Orpheus had grown up in the historical village of Delphi, Greece. His family had been extremely religious, to the point that they would always pray to the Sun God Apollo for their good fortune.  Most people believe that this had been because they were one of the oldest families in Delphi, but no one really knew the true reason behind why the Lâtris family had been so dedicated to this god. Seeing as how religious his family had been, it was only natural that Orpheus would take on their religion. He had spent years learning all about Apollo and the normal things that you would learn in school. Since he had been homeschooled for most of his life, he had never been much of an outgoing person that would have many friends. However, he was still one of the nicest kids within the entire village. He would spend his free time helping out others no matter how difficult the task had been, and even ended up taking up musical lessons with a lyre. The reason that he had chosen the lyre as his musical preference had been due to the fact that it had been the same exact instrument in which his god had played. Up until the point that he had turned seventeen, Orpheus had never actually left the county of Greece. He had explored most of Greece with his family when they would go to visit friends or coworkers, however he had never left the country. It wasn't until his seventeenth birthday that he had finally seen the outside world. He had been getting on in the years and his family had been saving up money to send him to a great school in America that would allow him to experience new things and make a name for himself. Once he had gotten to this new school, his outgoing personality had helped him make several friends and fast. They had all been speaking about the new game that had been coming out, known as Sword Art Online. All of his friends wanted it, which in turn had caused him to want to try it out as well. Orpheus and his friends had waited outside of the gaming store for hours upon hours, yet to no avail. They had sadly ended up waiting for nothing because as soon as it had been their turn to attempt to purchase a copy, the last copy of the game had been sold out. Depressed as they all were, they had decided to all head back to their dorms. On his way home, Orpheus had seen a couple of guys fighting down an alley. What could they have possibly been fighting over? Seeing as how this had caught his interest, Orpheus had decided to get out of his car and make his ay down the alleyway so that he could break up the fight. He had gotten down there faster than even he had anticipated, however by the time he had gotten there, the fight had been over, one man on the ground bleeding to death and the other running away. The sight of this dying man had horrified Orpheus and had caused him to alert the police of all the things that had just occurred. The man had been taken to the hospital as the police had been asking Orpheus some questions about what had happened, which had caused him to feel slightly uncomfortable, but only for a little while. Throughout the next couple of days, Orpheus had stopped by the hospital to check on the man so that he could see if his health had been progressing. Thankfully it had done so, which had brought great joy to Orpheus. Once the man had finally come to, he had told his story to the police and then revealed it to Orpheus. The two men had been fighting over a copy of the game Sword Art Online. He had originally purchased it and then the other man had tried to rob him, leading to a fight. Surprisingly, the man had still had his copy of the game. It had seemed as though he was willing to lay his life down on the line in order to play the game. In other to show his thanks for his help, the man had simply given the game to Orpheus. That same night, Orpheus had gone home and activated the nerve gear that he had purchased specifically for this game. This is where our story begins...

Personality

Orpheus is a kind and caring person. He loves to go around and help others, whether it be through actions or by simply playing his music for them. He prefers to simply enlighten the days of others by playing music on his lyre, believing the simple fact that even music may hold the truth of joy and happiness. He isn't the most outgoing person, however he is indeed a friendly person who is willing to give his utmost effort towards helping others and bringing joy to this war torn world. He aspires to become an amazing musician one day in both America and in Greece, and practices everyday so that he may soon achieve these dreams. His in game personality and the way that he acts in real life are extremely similar. It seems as though no matter how hard things may appear within the game, he continues on with a smile on his face, knowing that at least he has helped someone within the game in some kind of way.

“Dreams like a podcast, Downloading truth in my ears. They tell me cool stuff."

Virtues:

Beauty - Orpheus is a beautiful person both on the inside and out. Some people say that it is due to genetics, while others that really know him choose to believe that he is a descendant of the Sun God Apollo. His charming looks are enough to make just about any woman swoon, which is in all seriousness, not what he wants. He chooses to be beautiful on the inside as well so that people like him for both whats on the inside and for how he looks.

Benevolence - Orpheus had grown up worshipping the great sun god known as Apollo. He has always been taught to believe that Apollo had been a benevolent god that would have a severe disposition to do good. Considering the fact that he loves and worships this god, even looking up to him in some ways, he has chosen to take on the true virtue of being a god.

Bravery - Orpheus is a brave man in pretty much every sense of the word. No matter what challenge he may face or how close he may be to his own demise, when it comes to doing what he believes is right, he will stand against all odds without fear or in-trepidation.

Flaws:

Nosey - Orpheus doesn't wish to be rude or invasive, however he can't help but get himself involved in other people's affairs. He is always sticking his nose into other people's business and trying to help them out in some kind of way, even if they don't wish for the help.

Overzealous - Orpheus may be considered overzealous in various situations that may pertain towards his religion and his worship of Apollo. Some people believe that he is far too attached to his god and that his aspiration to become like him will be his downfall one day, considering the fact that he will someday go overboard with it.

Soft Hearted - Orpheus is always getting himself into trouble for when it comes to how much he cares about the wellbeing of others. He rushes himself into situations that shall benefit others because he feels bad for them, yet gets himself thrown into some situations that he can't get himself out of now, due to the fact that he is too focused on making the others happy.
