The two sudden blows sent the boar into a frenzy and it lashed out with its tusk, hitting nothing since it had already passed. The boar continued its charge forward and came to a stop. It turned and dug a deep rut into the earth, snorting all the while. The boar let loose a mighty squeal and begin a frenzy-driven charge towards the player. It picked up quite a bit of speed as it rushed forward, but this would only prove detrimental to its intents. Once more, the speed would work against it since it was moving to fast to account for the side step once again, not that this went through the boar's mind. The boar was too far caught up in its rage to be worrying about that side-step maneuver. All that mattered now was the death of this insignificant player who had harmed it. The boar ended up barreling past once more, offering a very brief chance of counterattack by the player but not much of one. Creius 0 Posted December 17, 2015 Author #22 Share Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Nathan: Health: 5/8 Energy: 0/2 (+1-1) DMG: 2 (2 + 2 - 1 = 3 DMG to Boar) Nathan, seeing the insane charge by the boar, widened his eyes slightly in surprise. Not that this specific charge would be any more difficult to dodge. All that was required was to dodge a bit earlier than usual and that was exactly what he did. Nathan side-stepped and watched as the boar came barreling past his side. Nathan raised his blade and tried to tap into that sword art one more. He felt the system start to take over, seeing that brilliant red light start to glow. Then the glow flickered out and the system left him. His eyes widened and he tried to bring the sword down without the system. When the blow started cleaving through the boar's side he felt quite a bit of power going into the attack. His blade ended up slicing cleanly through the boar and he watched as the boar took another few steps before freezing, its health bar drained completely. The boar then shattered into pixels and a small messaged popped up telling him about the material and Col he had been dropped. Not much but plenty for the fight he had just won. Creius 0 Posted December 18, 2015 Author #23 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Nathan smiled as he watched the pixels dissipate into the night air then a new window caught his eye and he smiled again. Another level up, that was nice. Ever so slightly stronger than before and that was enough for him. He closed the window and turned back towards the Town of Beginnings. So, he could handle himself in battle. That was enough for him to be satisfied. He could go off on his own without the need of anyone else, he hadn't gone soft. Although, now that he had fought on his own he realized that there was a sense of enjoyment from partying up with Jonathan. He would stick around for now at least, that much he knew. For now he felt that he could trust Jonathan and Brax but the reassurance that if something came up he could leave was always nice to have. He began heading towards the Town of Beginnings, believing he was ready for some sleep now. This whole matter on the sudden partying up with people was resolved in his mind, at least for now, and that was the entire purpose of this walk. He walked through the fields of the grasslands, gazing up at the stars. Since he hadn't gone out too far it didn't take him long before he was back within the safe walls of the Town and started heading for his usual spot. The cobbles rang out sharply under his boot steps as he walked down the now dark roads. It had to be well past midnight so it seemed everyone had departed for bed. Seemed like it was time for him to do the same as well. He reached the small spot outside of an Inn where he usually went to bed and rested down on the soft grass in the small plaza area that housed this commercial area. His eyes flickered shut, now heavy from the exertion from the walk and fight. Tomorrow was a new day. Maybe Jonathan, Brax, and he would do some more fighting tomorrow. . : Thread Complete : .
