[OP-F13] Azure Holiday Party

Ssendom enjoyed his slight conversation with Calrex, "Well, all is well then. I am happy everything worked out for you two, relationship, guild and all that jazz." He chuckled, he was about to continue his conversation with Calrex until he was interrupted by the blonde headed Commandant... or per-say now Ex-Commandant, "So, you were thinking about it too huh?" He muttered quietly under his breath. The blonde took his exit, but Dom knew it would not be the last time he would chat with his good friend. But his other good friend Lowenthal had been put in the position by Zelrius himself, though the Berserker had no qualms against this situation. Before the blonde exited the building completely, he put his fist up against his heart, "We shall fight another day, Zelrius." He again muttered under his breath, though he wasn't sure how audible it was.

It seemed like every single person was beginning to have a speech ready as Kiru had begun hers, she was wanting everyone to gather around the tree. That's when he felt a hand get placed on his shoulder, and much to his surprise it was Oikawa someone he presumed was completely MIA. He had a special gift to give to Kiru, one that had great sentimence to her after a long winded speech as well. Ssendom laughed, "Well, I hope no one is looking at me for a speech. Cause I have no words to give you, expect I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the party." Hoping to entertain some people after the turn of events that just happened. With that he walked up to Oikawa and placed his hand on the blonde headed Rapier user then whispered, "When you get the chance. Meet up with me on the roof of the Azure Brigade Guild Hall." He then patted the shoulder, smiled at him and walked away.

After which, Ssendom walked up to his massive present. "Well let's go ahead and get this charade going! I have a gift, the contents go to everyone. But one item in particular I am giving to someone who fights in much the same way I do." He turned to Lessa, "I hope you don't mind brigadier, but could you open this gift. There is an envelope inside that goes to everyone in here. And the Iron behind it all belongs to you." He laughed and smiled, "Only little things I can do for my Brigadiers. And a small gift of col to all." He laughed and awaited for Lessa to open the gift.

Ssendom looked at everyone else, "Well now is the time to share your gifts and enjoy my food!" He said happily as he adorned on a santa hat that was laid out by Kiru, "Merry Christmas everyone." He laughed in the happiest way possible.

"So, Zel's resigning? That's a shame." he muttered to himself, unsure if anybody could hear him. Helios was quite surprised at the fact that the Blood Buccaneer had officially become an ex-Commandant of the Brigade. On Christmas of all days too. he sighed. He was happy for both Zelrius and Lowenthal, who was to take his place as Commandant, although a bit shocked as well. All the noirette could do was watch as the golden haired boy walked past him, leaving the guild hall. It seems we'll be having an eventful Christmas this year. he chuckled a bit. He listened to Kiru's speech politely and smiled as she finished, asking everyone to head over to the tree. Before doing so, he wandered around looking for the Santa hats that he had heard about. "Ah, here we are." he mumbled to himself, picking one up and fixing it on his head.

The dark haired player sighed as he remembered that he hadn't really brought a present. I'd better think of something fast. he told himself, opening his inventory. He really didn't need anything he owned, other than his curved sword of course. Helios' eyes wandered the scene until he found Oikawa, who was making his speech. He owns a shop, the boy pointed out to himself, I could give him something to sell. I've already wrapped everything in my inventory, so it works. After making his way to the large Christmas tree, he carefully placed the present underneath. The gift was a blade that Helios was given after a quest. It had a tag on it which said "To: Oikawa" on it, that way he'd be able to identify it as his own. Honestly, the only reason he would have given out bread and water as presents was so he could get rid of them.

[Daeron 1]

Daeron was awestruck when he heard Zelrius give his announcement. He then composed himself once more and simply stood there. Not angeym more disappointed really. Daeron had no clue that Zelrius was leaving the guild, but what hurt him the most was that he gave it to Lowenthal, while Daeron is the last of the founders to be left in the guild. It hurt, amd left a stinging sensation sitting at his core. He sat down, to digest this information, since this was a lot to handle. Finally taking a swig of the drink Dom had given him, he looked at the bottle in disgust.

Setting it aside, he didnt care to drink, he didnt feel as happy as he did originally. Although he could tell Zelrius was affected by the wearing out he had gone through being idolized as a hero like Keith did. Just like that he left too as he and Keith had a connection and he knew Keith disgusted the thought of being a hero to the people, this is one of the reasons that Daeron had managed to portray a "bad" image so that others don't think of him in such a way. He had no words left, therefore he stood up amd left through the door to on sit outside of the guild hall on a bench next to the door.

Lowenthal let out a small sigh as Zelrius left. Sheesh, coulda made my first night here a bit easier. Lowenthal thought to himself, as he could feel the stares digging into him. Lowenthal noticed that Kiru, the woman he had fought in the S&Z tournament, and the one person who had hugged Zel, was still here. He walked up to her, a small plushie in hand. "Hey, I know it's not much. But, I hope it helps." Lowenthal said, holding the small present out to her. It was a small plushie of Zelrius that he had made earlier that week. He had intended to gift to Zelrius, but it seemed that Kiru needed it more then he, at the moment. Lowenthal gave her a small nod, and went over to Ssendom, and Oikawa. He placed a warm arm around each of them, and gave a big smile. "Merry Christmas, you two beautiful bastards you." Lowenthal said.

OOC- Okay so this is going to working by posting order. Whoever posts here first gets to choose first! Then AFTER the lucky person has picked their gift the rest go in order.

 

A moment after I finished with my request for everyone to gather under the tree Oikawa held his hand up, asking everyone to stay. Oikawa wasn't someone I'd seen in awhile so for him to make an appearance here was special. I listened intently to what the blonde had to say. He began by apologizing, being polite as usual.Throughout his speech I couldn't help but notice how much he had matured since Keith and I helped him last. Keith was his mentor, and I guess so was I, but clearly now he had no need for one. A smiled twinged on the corners of my mouth as he got a little more personal towards certain members of Azure. Unexpectedly, he then addressed me and offered a gift. It was his first ever crafted item, a shield. Not only was this a major milestone in his career here but it was a token of thanks-- and it was given to me. "Thank you Oikawa...this means a lot." I felt honored to be given such a cherished item. I hugged the carved metal to my chest and closed my eyes. It was heartwarming to be thought of once in awhile, especially in sentiment. 

The next few minutes were dedicated to other people speaking about Zelrius leaving, wishing everyone a good time, or congratulating Lowenthal for his new position. Just as soon as this all ended I was greeted by yet another player. I was a tad confused to see it was Lowenthal, for he and I rarely spoke. Again, this was another unexpected encounter. Lowenthal spoke, and after gave me a present. I gently took it from him and held it in front of myself. A small tear rolled down my cheek and dropped to the floor, bursting into pixels and disappearing into the game data. It was a plushie of Zelrius. I smiled, attempting to hold in all of the emotions of the night. "Thank you Lowenthal." I said quietly and hugged him. Normally I wouldn't be comfortable handing out hugs but this was another thing that meant a lot to me. I held the mini Zelrius and walked over to the tree. If I didn't start this event people would grow bored and I would probably lose it. I walked towards the center and stood on the only chair next to the tree. "Okay! Everyone, I know this will be a little childish but sit on the floor in one row. You can number yourself off and select the gift that matches the number you are. Or quite frankly any you like. Please enjoy!" I called, hoping everything would go as simply as I wanted it to.

Lowenthal smiled as Kiru hugged him. Apparently, the plushie gift worked. Lowenthal was already by the tree when Kiru announced that the gift giving was starting. "Well alright then." Lowenthal said, happily. "Christmas show on the road." He said, as he took a seat down quickly. He felt somewhat guilty, that everyone else here had brought gifts for everyone and he hsd nothing to give in return. He had recieved col, and items a plenty but had nothing of real meaning to give. He sighed slightly, but still remained in his spot. But at least he was enjoying his time here. He had figured that it was going to be nothing but awkward stares, and approate hand shakes. But the evening was turning out well. He awaited for the others to follow suit, and sit beside him.

Listening to Kiru after Oikawa's speech I followed suit of everyone else and sat next to the other people in line. I found myself second in line, right after Lowenthal.  I laughed a little to myself. It did feel a bit childish as Kiru had mentioned. Seeing all of us sitting in a line brought a smile to my face.  Who cares if it's a bit childish anyway it was Christmas and I decided to play along with the "sit in a line" and as the chatter of people died down from everyone getting into place. I was eager to see what gift Lowenthal would choose because that determined which gift I would receive since he was directly in front of me.  I first had debated coming to the party. I was a lower level player and didn't know many of the people here tonight but I had truly had a nice time. Despite a little drama it was a very easy and eventful evening. My belly was full from the delicious food I ate earlier and I was feeling a bit tired and knew that I would fall asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow after this party. 

Seeing others take gifts from the tree I decided to get up and choose one for myself. I looked through the gifts and took a small gift that was labeled Gift #6 as I revealed its contents I saw a very cute black cat plushie wearing a Santa hat. I couldn't help but smile. I looked up at the others and said. "Whoever this is from thank you I love it " I then sat back down to wait for the others to take their gifts.

[Oikawa 1]

Oikawa voiced a small, "You're welcome," to the girl before him before being approached by the newly titled Berserker, Ssendom. Listening to his words, the blonde nodded before focusing on the plethora of gifts being added to the base of the decorated tree. As Kiru finished up her instructions, Lowenthal and another player the blonde was unfamiliar with took seats just in front of the tree. Shrugging, Oikawa made his way to the tree and took a seat right next to them. His cloak fluttered around him once he had taken his seat. Taking it upon himself, he snagged the gifts labeled to him and selected the gift labeled "#3" and opened them.

His gift from Dom resulted in 1500 Col. The gift from Helios held a magnificent Katana. Might just hang that above the counter. It's pretty sweet. Continuing, he opened the gift from Kiru. A bar of chocolate fell into his lap, chuckling he spotted her near the tree and raised the bar up in thanks. Opening the last gift, he nearly fell over as the inside revealed bread and water. Adding them to his inventory, he shook his head in laughter as he voiced aloud, "At least I won't be starving anytime soon."

Remembering, what Dom had asked of him earlier, he rose to his feet, and headed for the roof.

The dark haired man watched as Oikawa opened his present. He seemed to be quite happy with what he had been given, which made Helios smile lightly. Turning his head to the piles of presents underneath the large Christmas tree, he examined all of the gifts, unsure of which he should choose. The boy didn't want to seem too greedy, and he didn't really need a whole ton of items, so he decided to limit himself on a couple of gifts. First, he opened the gift from Kiru, which was meant for him. Inside was a chocolate bar and a cookie, which he was happy about. Before SAO, the young man could have lived off of desserts like those. He looked up at the girl who had given him the items and smiled before deciding on his next gift. He stared at the gift labeled "GIFT #7" for a few seconds before picking it up. As he unwrapped the present, he was surprised to see 19,000 col added to his inventory. Well, I honestly didn't expect that to happen. Taking a look at who the col was from, he smiled. Helios didn't know Daeron personally, but he knew of him. Looking slightly in the direction of the blonde haired man, he grinned a bit, more than delighted to be given that amount of money.

Finally, he lifted his last item. It was a small pendant made by Teayre, another player he had never met. This looks pretty cool. he thought, examining the item. It was a silver, metal pendant shaped into an angel's wing. <<Michael's Pendant>> was the name of the trinket, which Helios was now putting around his neck.

Calrex simply gave a smile as the events continued to proceed around him. As people began to move around he weaved his way back so that he was standing next to his wife before sitting down. Accepting the gifts from Kiru he gave a friendly smile, "Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate it."

As the gifts got exchanged he refrained from claiming one of the open ones for selection. Since he didn't contribute to the mass, he decided to let someone else pick it out. With the event winding down a bit after that he gave a nod and gave to his feet, "Alright then, best be getting a move on. We've got a lot ahead of us, might as well get ahead on training and such."

He walked over to all of his acquaintances and notified them of his departure from the party, making sure to catch each of them later on. With that he walked over and escorted Teayre out of the brigade hall.

(Sorry for the short post. Just making a quick finishing exit so that we can close the thread XD)

[Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0]

The blonde was a bit downcast, despite her best efforts to make a wear an extremely revealing elvish costume she apparently seemed unnoticed. Well with all the drama there she could only accept the news with a partially surprised expression. when things calmed down she directed her attention towards what was supposed to be the main attraction for the night: the gifts. Seeing as people just started picking them out of the blue she went and took a gift that looked like a candy cane and unwrapped it... what a surprise, it was actually a healing crystal... With a small giggle she added to her 'collection': "This will prove useful" she thought. As Teayre and Cal left she was starting to wonder why she was still there? so far no one made any contact with her or showed the least bit of interest in conversing.....

The one thing that improved her mood was the thanks that the unknown guy gave when he selected her plushie gift. After the party ended she changed to her usual outfit and decided to throw the santa helper costume in the fire first thing she gets back to her shop.
