Recommended Posts

sealion-beach.jpg

((OOC: So this should be a fun little exercise in our combat tactics, as a bonus we should be able to gather 20 plus Mats for Nine to smith with. So all Materials should be turned over to him at the end of the run.

Our enemies will be Sealions.

9/9 HP, 2 Attack Damage, 1-10 on loot dice gets 1 Mat, 11-19 gets 2, 20 gets 3.

Lets go 5 kills then up the difficulty to 12/12 health and 3 Damage.

If things go well We can look at taking on a single larger enemy.

If this seems good We can can start ASAP. ))

Saix tugged at his rapier frog, sliding it into place with an easy smile. The slim swordsman's red leather coat pulled tight to ward off the chill of a digital breeze blowing in off a digital sea that lapped serenely against sandy beaches. Sometimes he could simply forget that this was a game. The scenery looked so real, he could even imagine he smelled the salt of the briny water whipped off he white caps that broke along the shoreline. The barking and grunting of the several large Sea Lions that dotted the white sand only added to the realism of the moment. Sea Lions, at present the only known enemy that had a chance of dropping the uncommon <> crafting material. With the boss of Floor 7 having been found, and players doing their best to get a Raid Group together. Saix had decided that it would be good form to ensure that his Guild was properly prepared in the event that they would take part, and that meant getting proper equipment. This was also a perfect opportunity to see Nikki and Daeron in a leadership role, something that his expanding vision for the Guild would necessitate. Thus far, everything was going better than he could have hoped for, and he had no doubt that today would be no different.

Nikki approached the sandy beach, taking her time, and walking at a slower than usual pace. She loved the smell of the sea air, it was something she had never really gotten to experience in the real world. She was here today to do some training with her guild, training and item collection. That was the plan anyways, though given how nice of a day it was they could all just as easily go swimming too. She smiled at the thought of the entire guild abandoning everything and going for a swim, it was humorous to say the least. Up ahead she could see a man in a red coat, she recognized him immediately, it was Saix, there commander. She giggled to herself at the idea of proposing a group swim.

Upon reaching him, her giggle was silenced as now would not prove a time for jokes and games. Nikki had something to prove today as well, having just recently been promoted she would need to show her ability to lead, and keep control in a live combat scenario. Though the enemies were slow and weak on the attack, they were numerous, and that made them dangerous still. There were also reports from local fishermen of a large and angry sea lion that occasionally comes around.

"Good Morning Sir." She said to Saix.

9Lives stood on the log fence of the beach looking over the water and sand. surprisingly he smiled at the mundane thought of the sand. it reminded him of his childhood, digging holes and having water gun fights. the actual memories weren't as important as that they all were before his mind started to contort form the illness. you wouldn't guess it now but he was actually a well adjusted and happy go lucky child once. that was neither here nor there.

He was quite happy to be here for a number of reasons. after a couple of missions with Nikki, he was starting to believe in her ability in the team. he didn't know about her leadership skills but this would settle that question. 9lives wasn't fond of the idea fo sitting back and doing what he was told even if he knew a better way, but it was the only way they would know if Nikki and the other newcomer, whom he had yet to meet, were capable of taking on a bigger role. he crouched down balancing on the beam saying back and waiting to be given his instructions.
