• FORUM DISPLAY NAME is not on the form, but it should match your In Game Name. For example, your login name could be iloveomelette, but if your IGN is Sakura, that's what we should be seeing.
   
• IN GAME NAME is what your character in the game will be called. For example, in the anime, Kirigaya Kazuto's IGN was Kirito. IGN's must be 8 characters or less, no numbers, spaces, or special characters.
  
• First And Last Name Of Your Character - Your character's name in real life. I.e., Kirigaya Kazuto.
   
• CBOX NAME - CBOX is the chat box at the bottom of each page in SAO. To register, enter the name you want to go by and click profile If it's already taken, you will be shown one password field to login. If it hasn't, you'll see two text fields that ensure you typed in your desired password correctly. This is separate from the forum account. You do not need a new cbox account for every profile.
   
• SERIES, character name of your face claim. A face claim is an anime/manga/video game character whose appearance you want your character to take on. You may not take characters already taken by other players (see the Faceclaim thread) or characters from the Sword Art Online franchise (like Kirito). Also, you need to set a picture of your faceclaim as your forum avatar. Your cbox avatar can be anything. You may also use an original character as a face claim, but the art you set as your avatar must be of good quality, pending the moderators' approvals. Generally, if it looks professionally done, then it's acceptable. Scans of your own drawing on lined paper and with messy line art will not be accepted.
   
• Skills are discussed elsewhere, but just to remind you, everyone starts with four. Each player gets an additional skill slot every five levels.
   
• Nationality is the location of your NerveGear and your character's current country of residence, regardless of your bloodline. If you're American but somehow managed to get into Japan for the game, you would be Japanese sending your data from the Japanese server, and thus be Japanese.
   
• POSITIVE/NEGATIVE TRAITS should be one word adjectives that describe your character's personality, not their appearance. Examples of traits that aren't allowed: strong, blonde, likes to party. You must submit exactly five of each.
   
• SWORD ARTS should be described in pose - glow - attack format. You should have already seen the sample sword art in the Sword Art Information page.
   
• Equipment/anything after sword arts are to be left alone. Moderators will choose your weapon and armor for you.
