[PP-F2] Sting of the Wasp

Saix just chuckled as one of the injured <> lurched toward him, attempting to sting him with that icepick sized stinger. With a quick side step he dodged the attack with a dancers grace, simultaneously bringing his blade up before him, assuming the <> and charging his skill. Thus far what he loved most about the Rapier was the speed. Incredibly quick skill activation, blistering fast movement, needle like precision... Truly he was a man in love with speed. "Where's the fun in that? Getting in their faces and taking them down before they can even hit you, now that's fun." He crowed, letting the <> take over, propelling him forward in a blur of motion as <> pierced his injured prey, and one more <> exploded into polygons.

Saix finished the second Wasp but the third had drawn to much hate from 9lives wave assault to attack the closer target. It flew forward launching headfirst to use . 9lives had lost all respect for the creatures. maybe he was just a better fighter than last he was out here, or maybe he had specked for greater ability. either way he looked at the wasp with blood lust in his eyes behind the black featureless mask. he released the blade with his left letting it swing down till the tip touched the ground charging his attack. As the Wasp activated he sidestepped to evade the insects attack and activated .

The wasp never saw its demise as its attack missed. before the ai could register his attack activated the combo attack swinging up, down and then thrusting through he body of the wasp. He pulled the blade from the creature slowly as it erupted in crimson polygons.

Exuberance was pumping his system full of adrenalin as Saix surveyed the remains of their fallen prey. This had proven remarkably easy thus far, so much so that he was wondering whether or not the two should have chosen to stage this little adventure on one of the higher floors. Still, every bit of experience wielding the Rapier would help, as he needed to level the skill if he hoped to achieve more damage, even counting the magnificent Guilty Thorn and it's increased damage. He started to remark to Nine that perhaps they should consider heading after a few Young Ice Dragons on Floor 4 when the largest Wasp he had ever laid eyes on all but exploded out of the nearby tree line. He couldn't imagine the wing power needed to lift that bulk off the ground, the wing span had to be at least 5 meters, and the stinger protruding from the bulbous abdomen looked to be the size of the rapier in his hand. He focused, bringing up the creatures name. <>. Well, this had suddenly become far more interesting. It was mini-boss time.

9lives looked up ad the massive Queen and smiled. his last battle with it was quite the challenging run. They had done well without a tank thus far but it was the queen that really made the difference in Nikki's role in the battle. it would be interesting to see how things played out without a tank. 9Lives sheathed his blade and crouched down. "On your call, Captian." he was ready to a\charge his attack as soon as Saix gave the word.

The huge insect hovered nearby, a sword sized stinger visible in the huge grotesque abdomen. But that wasn't about to stop Saix, who had always been an adventurous player willing to take risks if he thought the gamble worth taking. So it was now, as Saix launched himself forward, streaking towards his target thanks to <>, appearing as little more than a red blur behind the gleaming point of his sword. The needle tip of his blade sinking deep into it's thorax with incredible force.

Damage: 1 + 2 (10) + 2 = 5

9Lives was quick to charge his attack as Saix launched off as forward attack. the piercing attack hit with unequaled accuracy criticizing in damage and quartering the boss' health. 9Lives activated <>. he launched forward slashing up diagonally into the wasps abdomen.

Damage: 1+ 2(weapon) = 3 Damage!

Stepping back artfully, Saix pivoted on his heel letting the creature's stinger miss him by inches as he does not bother with reactivating a sword skill and instead uses a single quick thrust, almost striking the same wound from before, giving the blade a twist as the <> health plunges deep into the Yellow Zone as their attacks rip through her digital body in flawless synchronization.

9lives landed behind the Wasp queen spinning the ball of his feet. Switching stances, he took gasumi stance moving the sword to his eye height. As he expected the Wasp Queen rose in the air to get out of their reach. 9lives activated <> launching a half circle energy projectile form his swing that flew through the air bisecting the Queen.

Damage: 1 +2 (weapon) = 3 Damage

Again Saix sidestepped the incoming stinger attack with a quick pivot of the foot, the attack passing within inches of his chest. But even the close call wasn't enough to deter him, not when he could all but taste victory. Again his rapier flashed out, plunging like a needle deep into the wasp's thorax, drilling into it's weak point with pinpoint accuracy.

With the creature nearly defeated it began to retreat hoping to get to a point of safety where the system could regenerate its health. 9Lives chased after the queen but the constant moment made it difficult to charge and attack. He sheathed his blade charging once again for his dash attack. he activated throwing himself in the air with a slash that just missed the stinger. 9lives was to worried knowing that Saix attacks had a faster animation. he would surely finish the monster.

As the insect lurched drunkenly away, evading Nine's attempted attack, Saix brought his rapier up before him in a ready stance, charging Linear, then launched himself forward letting the insane speed plunge his sword into the <> eye like a laser guided projectile, slamming the creature's HP down into the 0. He flourished the blade, snapping it down to the side as <> fragmented into countless pieces. Glancing down at the sword, then back up at Nine, Saix shrugged in a carefree manner. "Brother, I definitely think that you outdid yourself with this one." He said, holding the rapier up before his eyes.

9Lives shrugged back. "Definitely effective if in the right hands" he said raising his blade. Craftsmanship has made the difference in ability in this game. He put Aitsuu away and turned back towards town. "one thing is for sure. these enemies are no longer a challenge for us. perhaps we should thinking about moving closer to the front line. "
