Tyr 0 Posted January 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) ProfileUsername: TyrReal name: Samuel JohnsonAge: 25Gender: MaleHeight: 6'10"About: History/personality Sam was a mountain of a man. Being raised on a farm and assisting his father in his construction business have done wonders for him. Where most people needed to go to the gym every day, Sam was got his daily workout just going about his daily chores. From bucking hay, to lifting I-beams with his father, every day was a workout for him. Samuel has a loving family. After moving into the city with his parents and older sister, Sam would go out of his way to help his grandparents on the family farm out in the country almost every day. Even after Samuel graduated high school and got a job at a metal foundry, he would still make time for family whenever they needed him. When he wasn't on the farm or helping his father, Sam would often spend all of his free time hanging out with a group of close friends that he had met in high school. Being a farm boy, Samuel was oddly attracted to technology. When his friends had him play a video game, it was love at first sight. Before long, he was spending every spare dollar he had on new video games, game accessories, or any other gadget he could get his hands on. Whenever his friends told him about a new game called Sword Art Online, and the Nerve gear that went with it, he instantly knew that he absolutely had to have it. Luckily for him, his shift at the foundry ended about half an hour before the local game store would hold their Midnight release of the game, and neither his parents nor his grandparents needed him the next day. He felt kind of bad that his couldn't be there too, him having a evening shift job while his friends all had early morning shifts the next day, but he thought that he would get a head start and figure out the mechanics of the game so he could help his friends when they got inline. After purchasing the game, Sam made his way home to install the game and the hardware, ignorant to the fact that he was about to enter the biggest nightmare of his life. Virtues: >Loyal- Those that were close to Sam knew that they were always safe with him. Anyone who had earned his trust was as good as family in his eyes, and he would treat them as such. Sam would drop anything he was doing to rush to the assistance of any member of his family, blood or not. Any who tried to hurt them soon learned better after being on the business end of the anger of Samuel. Sam had almost served time in jail after he broke both of a mans arms for punching one of his female friends.>Truthful- Sam had never seen the use of lies. All too often, he would see lies and rumors spread among his friends cause an endless cycle of hatred and deceit throughout his friends and family that usually ended in separation. He cared so much for them that every time someone would start a rumor, he would make sure that the affected person knew and would usually mediate personally until all of the issues were solved and they could remain whole once more. Though the truth may be painful, Sam felt that it was far better to feel the sting of truth than the pain of losing someone close to you. >Thoughtful- For the longest time, Sam was generally an outcast. He was shunned by most of the other kids in for his size, which his growth spurt had started early in his life, and for the fact that he was a country kid trying to make it in city. He generally found he was more welcomed by adults, rather than children his own age. From them he learned to think before he spoke, and learned of wisdom far beyond his years. He learned that most arguments could be worked around simply by listening to both sides of the story then making a true informed decision. He thought before every action and listened to every word. Where some thought he was slow, in reality he was thinking of everything and anything he could say to have the best possible the outcome, no matter how trivial the conversation.Flaws:>Egotistical- In Sams opinion, he was the best. He has this overwhelming feeling that his friends and family were only together because of him. He felt that if anything needed to be done, he would do it himself because no one else would do it as well. If anyone did something better than him, or drew the center of attention away from him, he would often get feelings of anger and jealousy. He would usually wind up making an fool of himself trying to one-up everyone every time. >Temperamental- Sam had held his emotions in for most of his life. That kind of repression ammounted to a boiling anger lying just beneath the surface. Many times he would find himself snapping at trivial matters. Things that wouldn't even bother a normal person, would bring a rage out of him that would strike fear into the hearts of any who were around him. The look on their faces hurt him so much. After an outburst, his anger would usually turn inward at the stupidity of his actions, and the fear that the ones he cared for would leave him because of it. That fear and anger would usually lead him to attempting to making amends while still upset, usually triggering another outburst, perpetuating his endless cycle of anger and repression. >Guilt Complex- Sam lived with this inner demon for the better part of his life. He always felt responsible if anyone he cared for got hurt. If two of his friends split up, he would blame himself for not trying harder to keep them together. If someone got hurt around him, he would find some way that he could be at fault, and it would eat at him for long periods of time. In some way it could be linked back to when he was little and he asked his sister to check on a newborn calf for him when his grandpa had asked him to do it. Sam had been working all day and wanted to just sit down. What he didn't realize is that the mother cow wasn't familiar with his sister, and charged her when she got near the calf. The cow trampled her so bad that she was paralyzed from the waist down. That feeling of guilt forever refreshed in his mind whenever he saw his sister in her wheelchair.
