[PP-F6] Material Hunting in the Jungle (rip creativity) (LeLouch)

Recommended Posts

The jungle was one of the most favorite place Nobuyuki had been to. Under the shades of the trees, he could enjoy the sunlight shone from above. The weather is nice as well, not too hot, nor was it too cold. What he enjoyed best is that the place is enriched with edible plants that he could gather for his shop. Since he had done paying up the debt he had for Zandra, now he could use this Mats to make his own product, and reopen the bakery again. "Today is a nice day, let's hope I can find something decent to gather." He told himself, setting foot out of the village, and  head straight into Amazon Folly looking for some materials.

-Few moments later-

Nobuyuki sat down on a tree branch, panting hard. Just below his feet are two giant mantis. "Now... how... did it came to this?" Nobuyuki cursed under his breath, trying to calm himself down and took a rest. One moment, he was gathering material, then without a warning, Nobuyuki was ambushed by three giant preying mantis. He managed to defeat one, but the other two have the upper hand. He was just managed to stay alive, and climbed up the tree for some rest. "Just wait for my health to regenerate back to full, then I will come back down." Nobuyuki told himself, quickly sketch out his plans. He would be damned if he lost his life to these pesky creatures.

Lelouch had somehow wandered off into the sixth floor. His sense of adventure had led him astray and as a result, he was on a floor in which the levels of the mobs were astonishingly stronger than he. However, as long as he doesn't engage himself in combat, he was sure that the jungle mobs could do nothing to harm his health or his state. Indeed, he was confident that even if he did engage in battle, he should be able to survive with perhaps one health left due to his calculations. Still, this game is based on luck and only luck. I do not like that at all. Lelouch thought, rising his starter rapier and cutting down a few thorns that were in his way. This sure takes him to why he was here in the first place. Indeed, he was here to gather materials but by no means is such a task to be spoken as lightly as he had. Material gathering was quite a harsh task and he found this out back on the first floor when he was extremely frustrated due to his lack of materials after a long period of material gathering.

Lelouch laughed as he managed to spot an apple in the distance. He had not expected himself to be able to get a material so soon in his misison but he had managed to do so and he was not going to complain. Not at all. That was when he heard the sound of combat and the next thing he knew, he was watching a man climbing a tree while Giant Mantis like creatures were waiting down for when he falls.  Seems like the guys in a tough spot. Lelouch thought, leaning against a dark oak tree, hiding from the mobs.

After his health have regenerated back to full, Nobuyuki stood up onto the branch. Looking down onto the two creatures, he decided to make his move. Leaped down, Nobuyuki tumbled away from the two Giant Mantises waiting for him. Using the trees as his cover, the young warrior ducked aside from the Mantis's sharp claws. He turned and retaliate with an attack of his ow. Ran up and thrust his glowing sword forward, Nobuyuki impaled the monster just below its neck, before rolled aside to duck under the other Mantis attack. "Good reaction timing.... Just need to focus, and time the sword arts." Nobuyuki reminded himself of his fighting tactics. His eyes locked onto the two mantises' every movement, waiting for the opportunity to strike

Lelouch smirked as he watched the kid jump down from the branch of the tree and used his sword to strike the mantis with quite a clean strike. Lelouch walked over slowly and wondered whether she should go for a kill steal but he was sure the man would be quite pissed off if he had done so. However, he walked over slowly, knowing that the Mantis would be fully concentrated on the boy. Of course, the boy was definitely more powerful than he but there was no doubt that Lelouch was filled with intellectual thinking compared to the boy. Soon, he arrived and leaned against the tree that the boy had been hiding upon before taking a rock and throwing it up and down into the sky and allowing it to come back down from gravity. "Seems like you've gotten yourself in quite a bad spot." Lelouch said, not sure whether the boy was aware that he had arrived by his side. "Don't worry. For it is I, Lelouch. Don't worry, I'm sure you won't need help and I'm sure you aren't panicking. However, just be aware that if you need any help. I am right here." Lelouch said and clutched the rock tightly in his fist before smiling and sitting down on the ground. He then watched... However, he had been waiting for the man to charge for an attack for when he does, Lelouch shall throw the rock towards a general direction and cause one of the mobs to be distracted so he could have an easy attack without Lelouch getting any hate either. Seems nice... It's a gain-gain process. Lelouch thought with a yawn and began to lean on teh tree.

Nobuyuki was just about to jumped back into the fray, that is until he see a man walking up to him. Dressed formally, but rather unequipped , with hair combed nicely and clean. Nobuyuki was confused on why someone so unequipped like him would think its a good idea to venture up to this floor. "What are you doing here?" He asked confusingly, before resume to combat. Swinging his lime-green glowing blade in a circle, he slashed one of the two mantises with a strike to the side, then quickly dashed over for a second strike to both of them. Turning around for the third strike on the other mantis, Nobuyuki finished the sword art with one last horizontal strike to both of the mantis. One shone then burst to million of pieces, while the other one still stand. "If you want to help, just stay behind and don't take aggro on any other mons..." Nobuyuki turned his head to warned the dark haired stranger of the thread of getting one hit, but because he was distracted, Nobuyuki didn't notice the giant preying mantis raising it razor sharp claw and struck down onto him. "Gahh!" Nobuyuki let out a cried in pain, as the claw went through his face, leaving behind a large red-ish pixelated wound. Looking back at the mantis angrily, Nobuyuki readied his sword for the retaliation.

Lelouch smirked. It seemed like the boy didn't notice that Lelouch had distracted one of the Mantis mobs and hence allowed him to have an easy shot on it without any difficulties. It mattered not though for Lelouch because he did not do things for his own pride. Well, at least, that is what he thinks and hopes but in all honesty, he was sure that he was doing everything here for his own self-satisfaction. He knew that one day, he would face death but that day was far away and at the moment, he was far from that day. He would tell the day that he would die... and he knew that he was nowhere near the end. His precise calculations would lead him to a conclusion that if he does face the slim chance of death... It would be his own arrogance that would be his downfall. Lelouch sighed and held out his starter rapier as if he was to attack. However, he made no action to do such a thing. "I'm afraid that I am unable to deal any damage to a mob such as that. I have no damage and I am not going to attack a mob and shame myself if I do indeed miss. This starter rapier is completely useless and the maximum amount of damage I have is four so I won't be able to kill the mob even if I do land the hit. Whether I land a hit or not is useless, so there is no point in attacking." Lelouch said with intelligence and leaned back against the tree having stood up now. "You go have your fun killing that worthless mob." Lelouch said, inspecting his rapier as if he could care less.

"Whoever this guy is, he's talking way too much." Nobuyuki rolled his eyes, as the wound across his face slowly fade. At the first movement he saw coming from the Giant Mantis, Nobuyuki make his move. The spun around to knock the incoming razor sharp claw of the mantis away, and use the preying mantis itself as a leverage to push himself back, as he landed onto the ground, the boy make a quick dash for the attack while the monster was still stunned. He swung his sword downward, slashing against the mantis head, as the blade went through the head of the oversize insect. The thing ended up with the same faith as it friend, burst into millions of pixels that eroded away. Sheathing his sword to behind his back, Nobuyuki revert his eyes to the stranger that came up to him during the fight. "That has been dealt with, but mind if I ask, if you're not that.... strong, why are you here, at a floor so high up like this one? Monsters can kill you in an instant here, you know that?" Nobuyuki asked, raising his eye brows. He was just as confused over why would someone like him ventured up to a floor this high above, as he was annoyed by the constant talking of this character.

Lelouch smirked. Indeed, he had everything according to his plan. There was a reason to his low level. Sure, he was quite lazy during the beginning of the game. Lelouch sighed a bit more and began to explain himself even though he didn't think this was quite necessary. He had done A LOT of rumour and scouting so he knew quite a bit about this game. "Of course, I know monsters can kill me in this floor. However, according to my calculations, monsters around this area won't engage players which blend in with the surrounding greenness. This is due to the realism that Kayaba placed into this game. Of course, my dull starting armor does exactly that and hence, enemies won't engage unless I first react to them. Second, despite the fact that these Mantis's have quite gigantic eyes, their maximum vision is about 1 Mile span and the rarity of these mobs are quite rare. Honestly, I think it is quite simple if I were to survive here and not engage any mobs. Also, even if I do do something stupid, there are other players around... right?" Lelouch finished explaining his intellectual thoughts and looked straight at the man who had questioned his sanity. He doesn't know who he's talking to... Lelouch thought. But soon, everyone will know my name.

Nobuyuki was bored out of his mind having to listening what the stranger have to say. It was long and arduous, but nonetheless, Nobuyuki stood still and listen. He didn't wanted to be rude to anyone, unless he have a reason to. "So... in other words, you wanted other people to protect you?" Reassuring his question after hearing the stranger's statement. "Well, if you wanted, then feel free to follow. But just remember than I am not your body guard. Or you could just venture off on your own, but I warn you, monster can sometime be out of sight, and could jumped out from bushes to attack you." Nobuyuki stated, as he turned his head and walked off into a direction.

While travelling inside the jungle, Nobuyuki kept his guard high. He wanted to be ready for any situation, even when he's cornered. Walking for a few more minutes, he found a patch of wild mushrooms. Through the guide book, it said that the mushrooms are poisonous type, and it could cause paralysis to someone if eaten. Thinking of a good use for later, Nobuyuki harvested the mushrooms and continued on ahead.

Of course, the boy interpreted his words completely wrong. Such a simple mind in such a simple body. Lelouch thought as he turned around. Quite rude actually. He failed to even provide his name for me. Lelouch yawned as the sunny day shone into his face. Indeed, the boy had not understood his calculations but he doesn't blame him. His words tend to be quite misleading at times. However, those calculations and explanations were quite easy to understand and he was unable to understand those words that he had spoken. Lelouch smiled, sitting down on the ground, thinking and processing the events that occurred in the past thirty minutes. He had a full grasp of this floor and the probability of him meeting a mob like this was quite low. Plus, he had good damage on him so he can stun a mob before striking it down so it should be no problem even if he did meet one more two mobs. Plus, he was too arrogant to back down from this floor. Lelouch was strong... Lelouch could be wherever he wanted to be. The boy had thought that Lelouch seeks protectors, however, he did not seek such a thing. He was merely using his resources and there was nothing wrong with that. Chess pieces... Everyone.

Lelouch sighed, looking around wondering if there were any fruits or vegetables that he could collect and buy or trade with. Lelouch smirked when he saw what appeared to be a good mushroom but when he picked it up, he could tell that this was obviously not a material. It was no where close to being one and the pattern was completely skewed compared to other mushrooms that he had seen. This one is poisonous. Lelouch thought, ditching it by tossing it onto the floor.

While continuing walking, Nobuyuki have a feeling of something watching them. Keeping his guard high, Nobuyuki pressed onward. His hand gripping tightly onto the blade. "Remember, quiet means bad things." Nobuyuki warned himself, as he trod deeper into the jungle. The jungle has gotten silent, just like the last time Nobuyuki was attack by the preying mantis back earlier. Then, from the bushes, a tiger pounced out, aiming its claws and fangs toward Nobuyuki. His body jerked backward, despite his unawareness about the attack. "Saved by the system..." Nobuyuki sighed, as he withdrew his sword and put his focus onto the tiger. The tiger let out fearsome growling, before pounced at the warrior once again. Nobuyuki quickly raised his blade, blocking the tiger attack, and pushed it back. Gripping onto the blade and slashed toward the tiger in two consecutive hit, Nobuyuki managed to landed both hit onto the tiger while it's down.

Lelouch sighed as he heard the distant sound of combat come from where the boy that he had previously met decided to go. Judging from how the boy acted, he wasn't very intelligent. However, the boy was higher leveled than he so he shouldn't worry. Honestly, he wouldn't worry even if the boy was low-leveled as it was his own choice to go out into the open. Lelouch, unlike he, was hiding in bushes and bushes, exposing himself only if there were materials in the surrounding radius that he could fetch. This is why he had come to the sixth floor with such low levels. Indeed, he could use the environment to his own advantage. This is why Swords Art Online is a different game compared to other MMO games. The game is more real than anything and except for a number of skills and mods, there really isn't much that restrains one's ability to do what they wanted to do. All those people who think that the game is just like an average turn-based game will fail in the end. Lelouch, of course, won't fail.

Lelouch sighed, sitting down under a small barricade of bushes that sheltered his head from exposure. Indeed, it was a great location as he was completely caved into this deep patch of greenness. Lelouch smiled, he would be completely safe here as no mobs should be able to see him here in this patch. However, there were still no materials nearby in which he can [censored] up and claim to be his own but he really didn't mind. His luck truly was terrible and at this point, he had gotten used to not finding materials after a long period of time.

Nobuyuki quickly jerked his body to a side to avoid the Tiget from pounced on top of him. He knows that the attack is very vicious, and it would case much of a pain to deal with when it's on top of him, so every move will have to be very cautious. Thinking of a plan to kite the tiger around, Nobuyuki slowly back away before hightailed out of the area. He ran for a while, then, he recognized the stranger he had crossed before, and an impending threat above.

For Lelouch, the plan of hiding in bushes to avoid monsters is a very smart ideas, but his luck have its limit. Monster in the jungle have a different spawning pattern, unlike most other terrains. They can spawn on high areas such as trees, and one just happened to be near Lelouch location. Above the tree where Lelouch is just hiding, a large python is lurking. It caught the smell of his sweat, and was coming down for its prey. Lunged forward, it was just about to snapped it jaws at Lelouch, but before it could attack, Nobuyuki jumped in and intervene, pushing Lelouch out of the way. The tiger leaped out soon after, but before it could attack, Nobuyuki swung his sword upward, slashing the body of the tiger. The sword returned for a second, and a third hit, stabbing the tiger consecutively for five times, dealing more damage to the tiger. The tiger was knocked aside, fallen onto the ground, shone in bright light and burst to millions of particles. Nobuyuki reverted his eyes to the Python on the tree, then looked over his shoulder to asked Lelouch. "You alright there? Sorry if I push a little too hard."
