[PP-F6] <<The Gemini>> <<Completed>>

Dameon had been out clearing the local area of floor six for a while now, giving himself a reasonably safe margin as he worked on leveling his skills to hopefully catch up with the rest of the other players towards the higher floors. It wasn’t that he hadn’t been motivated, but until recently he didn’t see a pointing getting stronger in any hurry. He was still playing the game as if it was just a game, advancing only when he wanted to explore new areas and just getting strong enough to be able to advance to said places. It wasn’t too long after he had set out though that someone approached him asking to duel. The icon displayed him as an NPC so he knew this was more or less a form of quest and not some other player, but either way it would be to the death, obviously. Dameon gladly accepted and stepped back as the NPC’s name appeared as “The Gemini” and appeared as a mirror image of him. Dameon took no time in attacking first trying to catch the NPC off guard.

The Gemini had managed to dodge Dameon’s initial attack and during this time he prepared an attack of his own. Using the momentum and the strength of his weapon he attacked at the other man dressed in all black in an effort to kill him or deal some damage. However Dameon proved to be very agile on his feet and was able to dodge his attack as well. He steadying himself up and braced himself for Dameon’s next attack.

Both of them had missed their initial attacks which wasn’t at all surprising considering his evasion. He wondered if The Gemini who was mimicking him also had that high level of evasion. Though by how close he had almost hit it he doubted it.  He postured himself back up extending his sword Hellion outward to point at the NPC. His sword was beyond huge and appeared to be a two handed sword but it was designed that way for a reason and it was only truly a one handed sword. Dameon wasted no more time and rushed forward with yet another attack.

The Gemini despite his efforts at dodging was struck with Dameon’s blade which caused him to fly back more than a few feet as if resetting the distances. Dameon indeed had some power behind his blade as well as the digital scare appeared over his chest. The Gemini would not be beaten so easily however as his own health was barely touched in comparison to the rest of his health. The Gemini would regroup a few moments later and attack but yet again Dameon had dodged easily and with seemingly little effort as well. The Gemini would have to step up his game if he wanted to survive.

Dameon had struck the quest holder and dealt what he felt was a considerable amount of damage to the foe. He grinned seeing the Gemini’s reaction as his sword carved into his chest. He had no idea how much damage the Gemini could deal but he now knew roughly how many times he had to land an attack to kill the Gemini. This was fine for him. The Gemini wasn’t nearly as fast as Dameon was which meant that the Gemini would have to get a very lucky strike in to do any damage at all. Dameon was now brimming with confidence as he grinned and went in for another attack not wanting to waste any more time.

Gemini was hit yet again by Dameon’s attack. Gemini prepared to attack yet again himself and as he finally did so Dameon had already avoided as well. Gemini notices both their hp levels being barely touched. He and Dameon both knew this would take a while. Though this would prove to be even more difficult in his situation since he had still yet to land even a single blow or even come close for that matter.

Dameon landed another blow but did precisely one damage. Dameon swore under his breath also realizing just how long this was going to take. He also had no idea how much damage it would deal in return although he suspected it would be low as well. Dameon backed off and opened his item menu and pulled out a <<+3 Damage Potion>>. He popped the top off of it and began to drink the contents entirely to speed this up even though he was leaving himself open to attack.

The Gemini saw Dameon step back and retreat a bit wondering just what he was doing by not attacking. He could see him now with his menu open and he knew exactly what was going on. They had both noticed how little damage was going on and so Dameon would supplement it. The Gemini rush to attack Dameon but he stepped aside while drinking and managed to avoid it.

Dameon had managed to sidestep and avoid the Gemini as he finished his pot. He couldn’t feel a difference in his strength but he had to assume it worked as it was described. Its effects would last for the entire fight as well, or so he hoped.  Dameon re-drew his blade and attacked. This time using a sword skill to enahnce his damage and stun using horizontal square.

The Gemini had been struck a major blow in the back as it screamed out. Another large cut appearing where the blade had sliced. The horizontal square line flashing outward. He was unable to move as Dameon had stunned him. The gemini was forced to sit there unable to do much of anything as he waited for the status effect to wear off on himself so he could at the very least defend himself.

Dameon had finally landed a decent attack and not to mention his most powerful sword skill. He saw the health bars on the Gemini drop heavily to below half and it made him feel better but he would not be able to do a similar attack for at least a little while since he had to regain energy to begin with so he could get a similar result. Dameon walked toward the gemini and attempted to attack it yet again hoping he could land such a blow on a stunned target, hoping it didn't wear off.

The Gemini had managed to break out of the stun moments before Dameon had a follow up attack. Narrowly he had avoided the blade of the man all in black. Taking the opportunity to do so Gemini also attacked swinging his blade around him horizontally to strike the cloaked fighter. Although as he watched Dameon's health bar drop slightly he realized then that this fight was going to be near impossible to win at this point. The gear dameon had mitigated all the damage he could have done down to just a single tick.

Dameon had gotten too arrogant and that had hurt him. Not only had he missed the attack on an all too easy victim but he had also taken his first bit of damage from this opponent. Though he was glad to see it had barely touched him it could have still been deadly if he had been on a higher floor. He swore as the slice showed on his own chest. Dameon grabbed the sword and attacked again hoping to make it harder for the Gemini to move or dodge. He aimed for the creatures chest in a stabbing motion.

Dameon had miscalculated where he had placed his hand and the Gemini only had to turn the blade and slide it out to do damage on Dameon even if it was only a little bit to the hand. The whole process though had also caused Dameon to miss his attack. The Gemini and Dameon would both step back to regroup before one of them inevitably went back in for another attack. The gemni knew he couldnt kill Dameon but it was not in his programming to simply give up. He knew the damage he could do and realized even if he performed a sword skill assuming he could know when he would hit Dameon it would all be blocked or not do enough to matter.

Dameon swore to himself again under his breath as he had another lapse in judgment. He wasn't giving the situation enough caution even though he knew he was nearly impossible to kill at least in the gemini's eyes. Yet if this was a stronger opponent he would be making too many mistakes to even deserve living. He sighed stepped back a good ten paces from the enemy as he calmed himself so he could go back into doing what he had been doing earlier which was more or less a rope'a dope. Dameon ran in again and attacked hoping to connect.

The Gemini had been struck yet again and took yet another chunk of damage. He knew very well Dameon had the potential to kill him with that last attack but he hadn't. Perhaps it was because he had run out of energy, or so the gemini had thought at least. Even though he had been struck the gemini turned around and swung his blade, fueled by anger and rage, not wanting to accept defeat so easily yet knowing he stood no chance against this foe. Perhaps if the man in black had been less gear focused and more skill focused he would have stood a chance but this was not the case. Dameon had once again dodged the attack by simply bending out out of the way and not making a complete effort to care.

Dameon had easily avoided the Gemini's follow up attack. Both of them looked like they had been fighting a while, exhausted but pushing on none the less as if nothing could stop either on of them. The difference he was that they both knew Dameon could now end this whenever he wanted and there wasn't much of anything he could do about it. Dameon's speed and evasion were so good even if the gemini tried to run he would be cut down in the process. Both of their sword of course were huge much like Hellion was anyways, it made it harder to avoid attacks. Dameon ran at the gemini again and attacked delivering the <<Uppercut>> sword skill paralyzing  the gemini again

Dameon had landed his attack yet again, this time it was a powerful uppercut which sent the gemini flying backwards and onto the ground paralyzed. The Gemini would swear in much of the same manner Dameon would. The gemini could not move as he wondered if the battle had finally come to an end. Though the last time he had been attacked while stunned the effect had worn off sooner. Though it looked like Dameon had learned his lesson as he was already hovering over the gemini to finish things once and for all.

Dameon came down with a strike but the effect of the stun had already worn off. Dameon swore again as he missed his attack and the Gemini rolled out of the way of the attack. During the roll he slashed out to try and deal some damage. Dameon saw this and simply jumped over the large blade avoiding being hit by the opponents attack. Dameon was becoming quite annoyed now, this fight could have been over by now but the RNG was not in his favor and it was annoying him.

Gemini had managed to survive another turn of being attacked brutally by Dameon. To be honest he had no idea how lucky he had to be for the paralysis to wear off twice before the speedy man could cut him down. Cardinal must have been attempting to make the fight harder for him since he was a higher level than required for the actual quest. Gemini supposed he could understand that as Dameon dodged his counter attack yet again as if he expected such a weak attack to land. If only he had an accuracy increasing skill he wouldn't have to worry about such things.
