Jomei smiled warmly at Zandra after she took out the remaining Knight. He walked over to the girl as the crystals from the defeated knight crashed into the ground and disappeared. "We're handling ourselves pretty well." He placed his hand on the girl's head before letting it slide down to her cheek. He caressed the girl's cheekbone with his thumb, "And I'm happy to be doing this with you."  his lips curving into a loving smile. He brought his hand back and crossed his arms, looking at the girl with partially closed eyes and one brow raised, "You know.. I gotta admit, when you get in the zone like that, fighting off all those knights, its pretty damn attractive." he winked at the girl. "But I agree.. I break would be good now. I'm starting to feel the loss of energy now." He spun his rapier in his hand before switching the grip to hold the sword upside down, shoving the tip of the blade into the pathway. With the blade now standing up straight, Jomei lifted up his hand to open his menu, the soft bells chiming as he did so. After a moment, the man held a green bottle of water in his hand, which he held out to give to Zandra.

Zandra attatchez the Whip of the warrior at her hip and closed the reward screen."Yeah, as beeing single target consentrated weapons this is going pretty smooth." She closed her eyes when she felt the warmth of his hand with a smile on her lips. Thou his next sentence made her open them and blushed, felt her cheeks heat up from something else then his hand."Ehm... Do you realy think so?" She was realy grateful for the bottle of water he handed over to her. She opened the bottle and let the cool fresh liquid flush thru her throath. When it was only a deciliter left Zandra realised. She cought and moved the bottle away from her, handing it back to Jomei."Oh my, Im sorry. Totally forgot maybe you want some. Not much left thou. Sorry..."

Jomei smirked, "Of course I think so Zan" speaking through a chuckle. There was an excitement about the whole situation, fighting through waves of tough enemies, only to find some much tougher enemy at the end of this winding road. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand at the thought of the two taking on a boss-like enemy that could even be up to par with a floor boss. The man watched as Zandra took the bottle of water from him gratefully and chugged the entire thing. Jomei laughed when she went to hand it back to him, only a sip remaining. "Its okay. I didn't really need it." He reached out his hand and took what remained of the water, finishing it off himself. Flipping the bottle in his hand, he tossed it over the edge of the walkway and watched as it disappeared into the darkness. "So...What do you think is waiting for us at the end of this road?"

It seemed Jomei didnt needed the water anyway, but he took the last sip and threw the bottle over the edge. She followed the bottle until it disapeared in the darkness. She realy didnt wanted to fall down there. But maybe there is an invisible wall the prevent players from falling over, like its only a mirage, thou she had no intention at all to see if her thougths was right or wrong. She looked up when Jomei asked her what she was thinking was up ahead.''Well, the most classic would probably be some kind of crusader or other general-like knight.'' she moved the hand thru her hair, thinking.''But if it was me that contructed it, I would make something less classic.'' her hand stopped at the top of her head where she started to scratch, contiue little later.''Probably some kind of crystal-monster, same theme like those lights and the lights beeing what controls the knights. Something like that. What about you?''

Jomei nodded his head in agreement, "Yeah thats a good point.. Some type of stronger knight would be the most believable.. then again, it would not be the first time this game threw me for a loop." he said with a chuckle, rubbing his thumb on his chin in thought. Her idea of the crystals that lit the room being the control point for these knights was a good guess.. and could have been true. The boss ahead of them would most likely include these blue lights in some shape or form as well. "Well Zan, only way we are gonna find out.." Jomei grabbed the handle of his rapier, which was still stuck in the ground, with his left hand. He pulled it out of the ground and threw into the air, the handle just in front of his face. He then brought his right hand over and grabbed the handle, twisting his wrist so when he returned his grip to normal, the sword would be sitting upright in his hand, "..Is by taking out the rest of these knights and seeing it for ourselves." he smirked, as his green eyes watched a couple of knights take note of their position and began making an approach towards them.

Zandra nodded when he said that their only way to find out what the boss looked like, was to fight thru the knights, and luckily another group had spotted them. The metal-clad humanoids advanced, and it seemed she and Jomei was the targets. She swiped a few times in the air infront of her, and then a bottle appear in her hand. Inside there was an ice-blue thin liquid. She poped open the top and some blue vapour fell towards the ground. She placed the opening on her lips and held it almost upside down. The cold potion flushed down her throath and then started to spread, increasing the strength of her muscles. She threw the bottle to follow Jomeis water-flask. She brushed the hair out of her face, but half of it fell down immediatly to still cover her left red eye. She placed herself in battle-stance and took a tight grip. She smirked at them. Showed her from the potion sharpened teeths to them.''Hehe, lets have some fun shall we?''

Jomei smirked as he gave Zandra a sidelong glace, his body still facing towards the approaching knights, "I thought you'd never ask." Jomei pushed off his back foot and took off running forward, gesturing to Zandra to follow right behind him. "Just like last time, I'll draw their attention. Flank them from the other side and catch them off guard." He looked over his shoulder at Zandra and gave her a nod, before quickly shifting his weight and breaking off to the side. He slid to a stop just in front of all the knights, bringing their vision slightly to the side so they did not notice Zandra. Jomei grinned, "Top o' the mornin' to ya!" he said, accentuating his accent and taunting the knights. The knights, at the same time, all rushed him swinging their swords. Jomei began to block their attacks with his blade, dodging others by ducking or jumping over their swords. As he avoided being attacked, his eyes watched Zandra, waiting for her to attack.

"Sounds good." And a few seconds later Zandra followed Jomei. Her heart pounded in her chest and she couldnt hold back the smile. When Jomei turned off a little to the left she side stepped to the right, almost at the edge of the walkway. She increased her speed to get pass the knights before they noticed here. The knights had all their focus on Jomei when the blackhaired girl darted pass them. Zandra tilted a little to the left to be able to keep up her momentum while doin a U-turn. Now she looked into a wall of metal plates that was fighting Jomei."Hey! Thats my boyfriend! Go get your own!" She said while taking a grip on the whip with both hands. Then she pressed off and made a front flip high in the air. When she landed she let the momentum of the chain whip strike one of them in the back. It broke thru the thick metal plates with brute force. The health of the knight dropped down to yellow... red... and zero. He exploded into crystal pieces."One down, thrre to go. Your turn now." She said with a smile on her lips.

Jomei watched as Zandra ran forward, yelling at the knights to leave Jomei alone. Flipping in the air, the girl let her whip crash into the ground, cutting through the metal plates that lined its shoulder and through its body. The knight, that through like butter from her whip, was killed instantly. Now they would not have to worry about any stragglers with threads of health remaining. Jomei smirked and watched as the knights turned to look at both players, now surrounding them. The first turned back to Jomei, slicing its sword horizontally to hit Jomei. The Irishman brought his sword up and blocked the large sword, parrying the attack and caused the knight to throw its claymore high up into the air. The red and black blade in his hand then began to glow a gold hue, activating his Penetrate skill. The tip of his blade pierced through the stomach, heart, lung, and finally throat of the knight, leaving small holes in its armor. Jomei then took a step back from the dazed knight, as its sword returned back to the earth, falling straight through the top of the knights head, taking out the rest of its health. "There's two."

Zandra laughed inside when she saw the reaction of the knights realising they was surronded on both sides. But this was no time for playing so she guessed she better reduced them even more, at the same time she saw her boyfriend making several spots all over the vital parts of one of the knights bodies.''Hehe, half already, guess there shouldnt be many left unti we reach the boss.'' the whip started to glow when she charged up her ground shaker again, bent her knees to prepare for the jump. This time she didnt had a short sprint to help build up the momentum, but it should go well either way. She grabbed the whip with both hands and jumped. She tilted her upper body forward so she made a front flip, the momentum building up in the whip and when she landed another knight got torn to pieces.''There, only one left.'' She said and gave him a thumb up.

"Alright, he's mine." Jomei said with a nod, running towards the last knight that remained. Bringing his rapier up with an uppercut, the knight blocked the attack with its large shield. Jomei quickly stepped back and lunged forward again with another jab. Once again, the knight easily blocked the attack. "Dammit.." his eyes moved past his enemy to Zandra, where she was standing behind the knight. He gave the girl a quick nod before returning his attention to the knight. He unleashed an onslaught of weak attacks, all that were continuously blocked by the knight. Jomei's object, of course, was not to kill it... but distract him. "Now Zan!"

Zandra started to attach her whip on her hip when she saw Jomei nod at her. First she didnt knew what he meant, but she saw his next attack was way to weak. He couldnt mean to kill him with that. When he finished saying Zan, she had already charged up her Cross judgement, didnt had the time to build up momentum for a ground shaker.''I'm on it.'' she moved her arm back over her head and then forward, making the whip fly in an huge circle, making a trace from his head down to his butt. She took her arm back and made another swung, this time horisontal. The religious cross drained the health of the knigth down to zero. Before it exploded, Zandra sat down on one knee and the other foot in front of her. The large knight covered Jomeis sight of her. she laid her hands on her knee and looked down on the ground. When the last pixel had fade away she looked up at Jomei.''Amen.''

Jomei raised an eyebrow at the girl after her little show paired with the attack. He clapped his hands together a couple of times. "Impressive." he chuckled. The man then turned his head to look down the rest of the road, noticing that there was a large door at the end of the hall that looked very similar to those that held the Floor Bosses behind them. Jomei pointed forward, "Look.. we are almost there.. Only looks like about ... three more knights in our way." He turned to Zandra with a smirk, "You ready for the final stretch?". 

After Zandra's answer, Jomei gave the girl a nod before turning towards the group that had not yet grown aware of the two players about to end their lives. Jomei started off with a slow jog, which then became faster and faster as he activated his charge skill. Soon, Jomei was sprinting towards the first knight with his body lowered and shoulder forward. By the time the knights had noticed Jomei running towards them, it was already too late for them. Jomei's shoulder connected with the knight's chest, causing him to stagger backwards. Jomei then spun on his heels to a stop slashing his blade horizontally across the Knight's body. He then followed suit by cutting at it another 5 times, creating his own cross on the knight's body.

Zandras heart had gone down to normal heart rating again. But when Jomei pointed at the large door behind the knights and that there was only three of them left. The drum started again and she started to breath heavier. Then she felt it, that feeling she felt when she and Mac was figthing the elder, the same when killing the Avalanche with Takao and worst of all, same as the one the morning with Jomei when she... She looked at him. But luckily he havent noticed anything. She took shaked her head to go back and focus on reality.''Im always ready for the final streatch.''

She darted after Jomei. But since she didnt had that charge skill, he cleared the distance between them and the knights much quicker then her. While she ran, she charged up her Ground crusher, ready to activate when she was in range. But a few meters before she reached the knigths that feeling came back. Her stopped, last thing was to lose control now. She closed her eyes and shaked her head again and took a few breaths. When she got back everything was normal again, but she had lost her opportunity to attack.''Darn it, the sword art didnt activated!'' she said to cover up for what realy happened.

Right after his sword passed through one of the knights, Jomei shot straight towards his next target without even waiting for the first mob to turn into pixels. Using his charge skill again, combined with his Shooting Star technique, Jomei ran forward at the next knight, his sword pulled back slightly. Once he was in range of the knight, Jomei jabbed his sword forward, and the momentum carried him forward and pierced straight into the chest armor of the knight, once again killing the enemy. Jomei pulled his sword out of the dying body of the knight and heard Zandra curse out. He quickly turned his head to make sure she was okay, but then he was met with a powerful sword blow to the back, causing him to stagger forwards with a light gash on his armor.

But she wasnt focusing so the only thing that got crished, was the ground one meter beside the metal man.

Jomei watched as Zandra ran up to him, wrapping her arms around him to make sure he was okay. The man chuckled and wrapped one of his arms around the girl quickly, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just caught me off guard is all." The girl's attention was then brought to the knight, and it was then he noticed something slightly off about Zandra. After she missed another attack, Jomei spun his sword in his hand and walked past her, "I'll take care of it." As the man walked closer to the knight, who was bashing his sword against his shield, Jomei twirled his sword across his body and turned his body around, slashing his sword once against its chest plate, he then spun his sword again, and created another gash. Finally, he finished his combo with one more strike, leaving a deep red and white triangle on its body. The knight then fell to its knees and shattered like glass. Jomei then turned to Zandra, "Alright.. lets take a short rest.. then we can tackle the boss... are you alright?"

She saw the knight turning into crystals. One by one they shattered."Alright? Ive never felt better." The last crystal shattered. And with it that feeling she got during the combat. She put on a warm smile. Now they was all alone. She took a few steps to Jomei and wrapped her armoured arms around his neck. Her blood-rez eyes looked deep into his olive-green."You know, youre pretty attractive to when you fight. I realy have the hottest boyfriend in Aincrad." Then she closed her eyes. She pout her lips and their faces got closer. She pressed her lips at his and...

Their mouths seperated and Zandras eyes opened again."That was amazing. Do you wanna continue to the boss right away or shall we rest to recover our energy?"

Jomei closed his eyes and walked forward a couple of steps towards Zandra, his hand rubbing at the back of his neck, ruffling some ginger strands of hair. "Thats good to hear." He opened his eyes in surprise when he felt Zandra's arms lovingly wrap around his neck. Though the embrace warmed him, her armor was cold. The man looked into her eyes as they stared back with a sort of fiery passion to them. He saw this look before, back in the cave on Floor Five. He felt his cheeks burn as Zandra moved closer, telling him once again that he was the most attractive man around, and that his fighting skills were quite an addition to that. The girl then picked her head up more to reach Jomei's, pressing her lips against his. 

Honestly, he did not know how to react. This passionate kiss that was going on. On one hand, it took Jomei completely off guard, and was slightly out of character for Zandra. But on the other hand.. he very much enjoyed it. Well, it was not like Zandra was a stranger to him, and this was not their first time kissing. Jomei then closed his eyes and kissed the girl back.

After their kiss hand ended and Zandra pulled away, Jomei felt his face was even redder than before. He brought his hand up and slowly ran his thumb along his lower lip, which was damp from the two's little session. "Y-Yeah. We should probably rest up a bit.. I need to.. regain my energy." The kiss had him slightly breathless, so he took a deep breath.

Zandra walked to the edge of the walkway and sat down with her calfs hanging over the edge. She placed her hands on the ground beside her nad lended back, looking at one of the huge shining crystals that lit up the cavern.''If I take a second look on them, these crystals actually is realy beutiful, almost hypnotising in their slow faint fading between bright and dark.'' She looked around, tried to see anything to fix her eyes on except the rystals. But the only thing she could see was the winding walkway they have been following. And since mods crystalises and fades out into nothingness, there was no sign of them either.''We are just two small persons in a huge darkness.''she said more to herself then to her loved irishman.
