Opal 0 Posted January 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Hot air escaped from the lips of the player as she made her way from within the inn. Her honey eyes looked over towards the horizon as she made a slow march towards the safe boundary zone of the village. She knew what her game plan was today and she opted to wear her first equipment set. With a small little flash of light, her equipment was fixed to the correct armaments and then she would be off. Her thick boots crunched in the snow turned ice landscape. Her scantily clad armor offered little protection from the snow and cold air, however, the woman had little to worry about the effects of the weather. Her goal for today was to search out and destroy one of the Snow Beasts that is said to drop a very rare item that can boost the quality of any given item. She had several items that needed an upgrade that collected dust in her inventory, one of them which was a ring of her name given by Grave on the day they parted ways before her training. If she was going to help her friends with a Dungeon, then she would need to upgrade that ring to give it that extra boost. So with her game plan set, she set out into the wintry tundra to the northern wastelands. Edited February 11, 2016 by Opal
Opal 0 Posted January 17, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Opal moved through the thick snow, large and heavy steps crunched through the snow with every step until she was down on a flat surface to walk on. The snow had picked up the further north she had traveled, but the weather did little to deter from her sights. Pushing forward, she finally came to a small hoarding of Crystal Golems, their icy exterior radiant from the sun as it reflected on their surface. She can get a jump on them if she timed her <<Charge>> correctly. Through the wind, her black hair danced and blew behind her. With the Masamune X grinding behind her through the snow, the woman lunged through the air and came down with a sweeping blow as her blade lit with a pulsating energy. The ivory blade cut through the thick rocky hides and destroyed them easily enough with a single attack. However, it seems she had set off a small alarm to the other grup now coming towards her. <<Battle Engaged>> Opals HP: 128/128 EN: 20/32 Sword Art: Gen Getsu, 12 Energy, 84 Dmg- 16 Mit = 68 Dmg Crystal Golem 1: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 2: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 3: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 4: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 45944 BD: 9 [+1 Dmg] MD: 4 Loot: +4 Materials Edited January 17, 2016 by Opal
Opal 0 Posted January 17, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Before the new mob was able to get to her, the woman flicked her body around and faced them. WIthout missing a beat in the rythem with her turn, her feet pounded off the snow covered ground. Snow erupted from behind her as she <<Charged>> in for the slaughter, her blade pulsating with light as she it streaked across the bodies of the new Crystal Golems. Their bodies clanking against one another as she sent the sharp edge of her blade right through them. With a clattering sound of rubble and dust, their stone features expired and left nothing but data in their wake. However, she was able to loot them for a little bit extra on this round as she pocketed a nice sum of col and four more materials to add to her inventory. Sheathing the blade, the woman knew with her Energy pool low, she would have to take some time to recover. Sweeping the black locks of hair from her face, she continued North. <<Battle Engaged>> Opals HP: 128/128 EN: 8/32 Sword Art: Gen Getsu, 12 Energy, 84 Dmg- 16 Mit = 68 Dmg Crystal Golem 1: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 2: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 3: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crystal Golem 4: 0/65 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 45952 BD: 8 MD: Dead LD: 11 [+1300 Col] Loot: +4 Mats Edited January 17, 2016 by Opal
Opal 0 Posted January 17, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) ID: 45966 LD: 18 [+1 Mat] <<ENR: 1/3>> Opal had finished off the last set of four crystal golems. They had fallen to her blade quickly with only a few pulsating strikes. Shifting her weight to one leg, she continued towards the north end of the tundra. Amber eyes sat infused with the fire as the sun struck down on her irises giving them a burning honey color. When she was walking, a small flower amongst the frozen ground popped out in the corner of her eye. Moving towards the item, she knelt down and plucked the flower with her small fingers and examined it as the stem snapped off. It was a decent quality material that would be worth saving for later. Clicking the button for the item to be moved into the inventory, she threw black locks of hair from her eyes and continued her northern march. Opal 0 Posted January 23, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) ID: 46575 LD: 10 <<ENR 2/3>> Heading north, Opal found resistance through the snow as she attempted to navigate the harsh terrain. Lifting one leg up and plowing through a thick dune of snow, the woman had nearly slipped going forward on a icy patch of frozen ground. Sweeping her hair from her eyes, the woman gave a soft grunt of displeasure as she got back on solid ground once more. Her honey eyes looked towards the horizon, snow drifts as far as the eye can see but nothing that could be proved to be useful for the alchemist. She swept a thick pile of snow away from the ground in an attempt to find something interesting, but there was no luck here and she continued on her way. Opal 0 Posted February 3, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) ID: 47302 LD: 10 <<ENR 3/3>> Her search for extra material in the frozen wasteland had become a fruitless endeavor. Eluding her honey eyes, the materials she had set out to find could not be found amongst the puffs of white snow that littered the ground. She sighed heavily and began to stretch, the intense eyes of hers that kept the search moving forward felt strained and tired. The woman lifted one arm up in the air as it was stretched, the length of her body growing as her stomach muscles relaxed as she let her arm down as it swung off to her side. Sweeping a hand through the curtain of ebony from its place, the woman's digits curled her hair over one ear and attempted to gaze once more at the horizon before her. Her path was set to north and coming up over a small snowy dune was a pack of wild and hungry looking jackels. Equipping the Masamune X, the woman set out to slay these mobs in hopes of gaining favor to the Gods above to quench her need for materials. Opal 0 Posted February 3, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Slipping through the snow, Opal caught even ground as her boots dug into the frozen earth. Her amber eyes sharp as the jackals turned about to face her yelping and snarling as they inched forward. She cursed lightly under her breath as they made her move on her. A mixture of tan and rough hide made movements towards the Vice Commander. Narrowing eyes set to path as she evaded their strikes, her armor sweeping through the snow in a blur of white and red. The long Blade was unable to provide measure to cut as their speed was doubly over her own. She slid to a stop as she evaded all of the attacks, the blade cold and steady in her hand as she breathed. Moving through her inventory, the woman doused her blade with her final remaining Dmg Boosting potion. She would have to make the most out of this one until she could procure the mats to make more. Shifting her stance, she readied for the next round. <<Battle Engaged>> Opal HP: 132/132 EN: 31/33 Sword Art: Miss Ravenous Jackal 1: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 2: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 3: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 4: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 47303 BD: 3 [Light Momentum Activated: +1 BD] MD: 7-3 = 4 [Savvy Activated: +2 BD] Notes: +2 Dmg Pot Edited February 3, 2016 by Opal
Opal 0 Posted February 3, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) As the Masamune X began to pulsate, the silver and ivory aura began to illuminate the blade once more. Her amber eyes flickered as the beasts took charge once more at her. Their growls and menacing yelps took to the frosty air as they hurled their bodies at hurt as if Zeus himself were the launching arm. However as they came towards her in packs, she staved them off with quick foot work in the snow. The evasion was simple thanks to her current set of equipment and danced around their attacks. Her blade now called for blood as she swept the long blade over their hides. A thrashing sweep found their mark as orange ignited their hides with damaging marks. The jackals now sorely injured tended to their wounds as she took a step back. She would finish them off with the next strike. <<Battle Engaged>> Opal HP: 132/132 EN: 20/33 Sword Art: Gen Getsu, 12 EN, 62 Dmg Ravenous Jackal 1: 4/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 2: 4/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 3: 4/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 4: 4/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 47304 BD: 6+3 = Hit MD: 3-3 = Miss [Savvy Activated: +2 BD] Notes: Edited February 3, 2016 by Opal
Opal 0 Posted February 3, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) As Opal watched their attack patterns, she knew easily enough this battle would be over soon. However, the sudden change in their demeanor caused her eyes to narrow. The beads of darkness now grew crimson in their eyes, they had turned savage and powerful. In turn their speed and strength increased as their muscles bulged and formed. They let out a monstrous howl as their bodies doubled in size, "What the hell?" Confused, the woman braced herself for the upcoming charge. She felt fangs, claws and gouges dot over her body as the pack attacked her one by one decimating her pure white armor with orange streaks across her character. She was beaten back and blown over by their powerful blows. Her HP bar dipping into a critical state. It had been a long time since she was driven to such a state. However, her mind was relaxed and her body did not tense. Reforming herself, she drew upon her sword art once more...it was their final attack as well as hers. Sweeping it across their hides, the power <<Gen Getsu>> toppled them over with two enforced strikes to clear the battlefield of the Ravenous Jackals, leaving behind a sack of col and a few materials. However, she had taken serious injury and fell to one knee. <<Battle Engaged>> Opal HP: 52/132 EN: 9/33 Sword Art: Gen Getsu, 12 EN, 68 Dmg Ravenous Jackal 1: 0/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 2: 0/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 3: 0/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Ravenous Jackal 4: 0/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 47305 BD: 9+2 = +1 Dmg MD: 10-3 = +2 Dmg LD: 11 Notes: +1320 Col, +4 Mats Edited February 3, 2016 by Opal

Her amber eyes scanned the snowy fields. There had not been any more mobs to be aroused from her recent battle which gave her opportune time to allow the <<Survival>> skill to kick in to generate a mediocre amount of HP. Fingers spread across her menu as she delved within the confines of her battle ready items and took out a Cura Crystal. She crushed the contents within her grasp and allowing the soothing mist to wrap around her body, giving her diminished HP pool a small boost in recovery. HP: 58 > 78 Seeing her levels return was a good sign, she would have to wait out a while long before taking on the Field Boss until her HP was at a respectable level once again. She had taken a bad beating against those Jackals that had reduced her HP by a considerable amount. Opening up her inventory once more, the woman threw back another potion that would help in the aid of her recovery. The green liquid over coming her as her HP bar once more refilled by a nice incremental amount. HP: 84 > 104 Feeling the wash of rejuvenating spirit come over her. She continued north of the tundra in search of materials before making her way to the Quest location. Her amber gaze mostly transfixed on the ground as she marched through the snow, one foot over the other as her eyes kept a keen eye on anything of worth or shiny. Nothing but barren wasteland around her, no more than snow and frozen ground. Edited February 10, 2016 by Opal

Her HP still slowly filling up, thinking it might be better to save some of her heath potions for a better cause while she continued her trek. The natural regeneration wasn't too bad, but with such large amounts of HP and with the updates, it almost seemed insignificant, perhaps something to look forward to in the future for her <<Survival>> skill. Amber eyes drifted from snow dune to snow dune with nothing remarkable to say in the least. She needed the materials for her alchemy work, and she did not have customers in her shop since it was an exclusive outlet for her guild. But none of that mattered as her thoughts once more remained on the enemy ahead. With a full bar of energy, she could do some extra dirty work and get the mats the old fashioned way. Opal 0 Posted February 10, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) Keeping a trained eye ahead of her, she came up to a hill with a group of humanoid looking mobs. Their bodies cast in wool of blue and white, hair shining like sapphires and their eyes white as snow. Upon their heads was the name Crazed Jackfrost. It was an interesting name to call such a mob unit, but it was what it was. They seemed cluttered around in a small group, easy work for one of her AoE skills if she could pull it off. Traversing the small hill, the woman nearly stumbled down the icy path way as she made her way towards them, "Oh shi--" she had slipped at the edge and fell forward with a small tumble initiating the aggro trigger. Their eyes set on to her, with spiked frozen snowballs in their hands, they launched them at her one after another. The woman rolled around in the cold snow dodging the ice balls as they were hurled towards her.She quickly got back up to her feet and attempted to mow through them with her sword, unfortunately, her blade graced nothing but air as she found her way away from the group after slipping and sliding across the ice covered ground. <<Battle Engaged>> Opal HP: 110/132 EN: 31/33 Sword Art: Crazed Jackfrost 1: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crazed Jackfrost 2: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crazed Jackfrost 3: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 Crazed Jackfrost 4: 66/66 || Mit: 16 || Dmg: 30 ID: 47902 BD: 2 = Miss: Lt Mom Activated +1 BD MD: 4-3 = Miss: Savvy Activated +2 BD LD: -- Edited February 10, 2016 by Opal

The blade pulsated to life with the ivory and silver aura as it consumed the sharpness of her katana. Getting into position, the woman <<Charged>> forward with the speed of a bullet and thrust her blade into the domain of the Snow Beast.
