(PP-F1) Is Mansitting A Profession? (Helios)

Recommended Posts

Comet sighed. He had pretty much no Col and no materials either. Plus, his lack of gear was bothering him and he had no budget to buy gear either. Hence, he was going to go out there with the intent of material gathering in order to supply himself with some sort of budget which would allow him to buy equipment that he was deeply in need of. Comet sighed, wondering who to look for. Indeed, Macradon would seem like the obvious choice as he had treated him very kindly. However, the man was probably way too busy to bother with material gathering with someone as low-leveled as Comet. The second option would be to see if Helios had any time. The man was much older than he but Helios had only just started a shop so the chances of him needing materials were actually quite high. Hence, if he offered, maybe the man was willing to take him on a material gathering session. With a yawn, since the day was still rather early, Comet walked to the man's shop and realized that the building had quite a low window. With a chuckle, the boy climbed onto the window and hopped in after opening the window. He had figured that the shop door was probably locked and here he was, inside the man's shop with his acrobatic flexibility uses. That was fun. Comet thought with a chuckle and began to look around, wondering where Helios was. "Helios! Helios! Where are you? I was wondering if you were willing to take me on a material gathering session?" Comet shouted out loud.

Stepping out from the kitchen, a bit confused, Helios chuckled. "Hey, Comet. Sure, material gathering sounds great." he replied. The man was actually out of items to craft with, and since he had a lot of orders, it was probably a good idea to pick up some more. Although he was unsure of how the kid had managed to get into his shop, he didn't bother questioning it. "Kids these days..." he sighed, looking at the open window. Another chuckle escaped the man's lips as he equipped his new set of armor.

"Anywhere in particular you'd like to go?" he questioned, opening the front door of the shop for them to exit. He's young, if he wants to head out into the plains, I'll happily accompany him. I'd rather not let him go out alone. the young, raven haired man thought.

Comet chuckled as he saw the eyes of Helios dart forwards to look at the window. Indeed, he was obnoxious and he knew full well that he was obnoxious. However, this was the innocence that he had at the moment and he would really like to keep that childish moment that he had for now. He'd like to keep it all the way throughout the game and he shall survive this game, for his parents, for his loved ones. However, that was way too serious for an early game moment for him and death should not even threaten him as long as he doesn't engage combat at such a low level and as long as he is responsible in making decisions and other types of decisions, he should be fine in this game... This game wasn't pay-to-win, it should be fair and there is always a chance for surviving in every situation... One would just have to find the method of dealing with that situation. With a sigh, Comet jumped over and closed the window before replying, "How about just the outskirts of the town? I'm sure that there are a lot of materials out there such as fruits... Unless, of course, they are all taken by other players." Comet suggested.

Holding the door open, Helios smiled. "Alright, we'll check it out and see if there's anything worth taking." he replied as the two exited. Shutting the door behind him, the dark haired player looked around curiously, seeing if he had any potential customers. However, it didn't look like anybody in the area planned on checking out his shop at that moment. Perfect, I can help Comet out then.

Thankful that there were no interruptions, Helios walked with the boy through town until they eventually reached the exit gate. "Well, where do you want to start?" he questioned the child, putting his arms across his chest.

Without responding to the man's questions, Comet decided to just go on ahead of him and run out of the safe zone. Indeed, this was the first time that he had been out here and there were quite a bit of boars in the distance but fighting them was out of the question for someone as low leveled as he. Comet sighed in disappointment, knowing that he was still far too weak to do anything remarkable in this game. However, this only motivates Comet to become stronger and tougher so that he would eventually become a well-known fighter recognized among the people of this game. Comet smiled as he turned back to face Helios. "I'm really not sure..." Comet said, scratching his head as he put on a large grin. "What do you think, Helios? There are many things out here... I'm not even sure what would be considered a material. I haven't seen a 'material' in this game yet."  Comet said, blushing in embarrassment as he once again turned around to observe the scenery of the first floor. It was truly astonishing... The sky sheltered the miles and miles of grass down below and the boars were in perfect harmony with the rest of this virtual world. It was as if this game was so realistic that it was real. Comet shivered in astonishment and awe.

Helios chuckled at the boy's comment. "Well, a material is pretty much any item you can use for crafting. If you think it's useful, take it, basically." he explained, searching the area for possible items. "How about we start over here?" he asked, gesturing to the left. The dark haired player roamed the grassy area outside of the Starting City in search of materials, but nothing useful was found. "Well, that sure is a shame. Did you find anything?" Helios asked, hoping the lad's luck was a lot better than his own.

Comet smiled as he listened to Helios's explanation of what a material was. It seemed like pretty much everything that seemed material could be somehow taken and used as material. Indeed, this should make material gathering quite easy and he hoped that his hypothesis is correct as if it was, that would make life in Swords Art Online a lot easier. Indeed, lots of players who own shops charge materials instead of Col and if Comet stocks up on materials, he should be able to use them and buy several more equipment that he would have a need for. With an energetic, excited grin, Comet jumped up and down as he ran around energetically in hopes of the fact that he might be able to find material with his first material gathering attempt. However, Comet had failed to do so... Still, he believed that it was just beginner's rotten luck. Soon, he would be able to find lots and lots of materials. "No luck here. Let's continue to search though." Comet replied, scanning the area for anything that captures his attention.

After searching through nearly every bush he could see around the Town of Beginnings, Helios sighed. "Still nothing. Maybe we should check somewhere else." he said to the kid, who was looking around nearby. Waiting for Comet's opinion on the matter, the raven haired player continued to check in other bushes, although some were repeated multiple times.
