About: History/personality

Cyra was born into a wealthy family, but her life was not all riches and fun. At school people either hated her for her wealth, or became her friend under the pretense of gaining her wealth. Many of her fellow wealthy friends were only friendly because of their parent's pressure to maintain good relations. Her home life was not much better, her mother constantly preformed experiments on Cyra, doing everything from drawing copious amounts of blood from her, to shocking her with various extremities of voltage, to once even putting her in to the equivalent of solitary confinement just to see how she would react. Cyra's father was the only person she let herself feel close to, he was the only person she had spent meaningful time with, when she wasn't studying for her classes, or diving into various RPGs. 

Cyra's life was not all bad, she definitely had times in which she had happiness. Cyra felt very close to her pets, and other animals. She enjoyed volunteering at a wild animal sanctuary. She even took care of animals, domesticated of course, at her house, hidden away from her mother, so that the woman couldn't experiment on her pets. Cyra also enjoyed her studies very much, she worked on them as much as she could, though she was no top tier student. She especially enjoyed learning about people's anatomy. Cyra had no aspirations to be a doctor, but the human body fascinated her with it's inner workings. 

 A year before SAO came out Cyra's father died from tuberculosis. This caused her to spin into depression, she was alone, no one was left to protect her from her mother, or the bullies at her school. She became ever more self-reliant. After another year, full of grieving and more abuse, Cyra decided to move away, to start over in a new place with people who didn't know of her money . She needed to get away from her quack of a mother. She gave her animals to a person who worked at the sanctuary, as she had too many to keep in an apartment. Cyra moved to japan, into small apartment with a roommate. She loved her anonymity, she finally felt as if she could be accepted. Once she started school, Cyra found it harder than she though it would be to make friends, due to her past, it was hard for her to talk and open up to people. Soon she became known as the quiet unapproachable girl. Loneliness set in, her only friends became her roommate, although he was more of an acquaintance, and one girl at school who was nice to everyone. Due to this Cyra once again she found her self coming back to RPGs. A new game was coming out soon called sword art online it looked promising, maybe she could find friends away from the real world and people wouldn't know of her past or wealth. It was the perfect escape from life...little did she know of the death trap she was walking into.

Virtues:

Familiar Affinity: Animals are the only things that Cyra will put her trust in, because people had proved themselves to be untrustworthy. Cyra's trust is in the animals also extends to kindness, and because of her days working with animals, both wild and domesticated, she knows how to gain an animal's trust and how to keep wild and dangerous animals from harming her. Cyra's trust in the animals can be dangerous however if she is not careful, and steps over of an invisible boundary.

Thick Skin: Due to years of bullying and her mother's experimenting on her Cyra built up a thick skin. She is able to with stand more pain than the average person, and is less affected my emotional and mental attacks. Cyra although Cyra can withstand attacks as these triggers can cause tragic reactions. With pain Cyra is able to keep going after much more pain than others, she wont surrender due to pain, or let other's see her struggling. This allows her to have an upper edge when fighting alone, with people who try to attack the hardest when some one shows weakness. 

Vast Knowledge:  Cyra is a very, very intellectual girl. Her knowledge is one of the main things getting her through her life. She uses it to her advantage when she can, especially against those she thinks would be affected by it. She’s learned much from her years in school, and her knowledge of the human body also makes it so she knows the best places to strike another player, if she herself is attacked.

 

Vices:

Anti-Social: Cyra had not been able to trust most people her whole life, so she has a hard time opening up to people, or even connecting to them on a basic level. This also makes her extremely self dependent and has a hard time accepting help from others. This distrust of people also is present when people approach her, as she will become extremely supicious and wary of the person's motives.

PTSD: Cyra's tragic childhood lead her to develop PTSD after moving away. She experiences flashbacks, and crippling fear whenever something triggers a memory. Because of the Cyra will also avoid quests or situations she believes will remind her of her past. Cyra can also be very jittery, so she is startled easily, and can have trouble concentrating. Cyra will often not let other people if she starts to have a PTSD episode, so when she does she will usually run away, or try to finish what she is doing as quickly as possible. This leads to sloppiness and mistakes on her part.

Micro-Manager: When Cyra does work with people everything must be done exactly the way she sees or thinks it. If one thing is out of place or done wrong, she can't stop thinking about how it could have been done differently or how it could have been corrected. This stems from her mostly self-reliance, this also makes it hard for Cyra to take another's opinion seriously, or at all. In her eyes the only right way to due something is her way.
